My son needed his transmission rebuilt and after shopping around we brought it to Larry at Aamco. I am extremely pleased with the repair and the price was very competitive. The 3 year warranty was the best I could find. I recommend this shop.

This is the worst service I've ever received in my life!!! Larry is a fast talking, arrogant, rude, cancer stick smoking idiot...When I first talked with him on the phone he told me he would check out my transmission for free, then he called me back and said it would be 795.00 to take my truck apart..When he called me back and told me how much it would be to fix I declined the service...He then got mad and told me it would be a few days for me to get my back because it would take a while to put my truck back together and I would be put last in line...After a day I called back and decided to go ahead and get it fixed and they told me I would need to come in and pay the entire amount before they started...Throughout the entire experience with these people Larry was so unprofessional and never really kept me informed as to the status of my truck...When I picked my truck a day later I noticed it was leaking transmission fluid really bad so I had to take it back in to get that repaired and Larry the jackass had the owner to speak with me..I would not recommend this trash these people call business to my worst enemy..The best thing about this establishment is the 3 year/36,000 mile they gave me...The only reason they are getting one star is because I have to give them at least one to be able to post, otherwise it would be no stars!!!!

I called AAMCO in Humble, TX because I needed to have the A/C repaired on a 2007 Ford Freestyle. Prior to that, I never knew AAMCO did repairs on A/C. I looked them up on the internet and saw all the great reviews and felt somewhat comfortable to give them a try. I called and spoke with Jay, who was very welcoming. He explained they would evaluate the problems with the A/C and let me know what I needed. My sister also spoke with him and was quite impressed with his customer service skills. I brought the vehicle in a few days later and met Jay and he was just as welcoming in person as he was over the phone. I've had some bad experiences in the past and I hate it when shop guys treat you like they're doing you a favor. It was refreshing to not have to deal with that. Jay introduced me to assistant, Larry, who took care of me. My vehicle was ready the next day and I was given a 3-year, no out of pocket warranty on the parts and labor. The A/C works and is amazingly cold. Larry and Jay are two guys I would recommend to anyone who need A/C repair. It's hard to find someone you can trust these days. Needless to say, they are on my 5-Star List of vendors.

2014 Yukon xl Denali transmission problems!!! Yes he can do it. Mr.Larry and his crew know their stuff! Don t know many shops that have 3 year 36000 miles warranty he does! And he follows up on his work! Highly recommended shop!

I m not even sure where to start this place is shady.They charge you $895 to take the transmission apart to diagnose the issue, but then that cost is not included in the overall price for repairs. (I was informed by my dealership that they could ve just used a computer to dish the issue without dismantling my transmission) $895 just to know what the problem was.I was quoted a timeframe of 8 days for the repairs but it ended up taking almost 3 weeks. The shop owner, Jay, told me to get a rental and he would reimburse me I have not been reimbursed a dime. I called corporate to let them know and they informed me that they had no policy on car rentals so I would have to work out an arrangement with Jay. I called Jay back and his story changed! Now he was saying that he would only reimburse 30% of the rental cost I said fine and sent him the receipts like he asked still nothing! I m livid because AAMCO ordered the wrong parts at first and then I was stuck with the aftermath!Finally, I get my truck back expecting a major difference and the problem is already back! $7k for a rebuilt transmission that didn t even fix the problem. So now I have to go back and see what the issue is now So here s the absolute worst part about all of this my truck is fairly new. 3 years old 80k miles at the time. The dealership did a recall because of some common issues with the emissions system, which would have presented similar issues (stalling, shuddering) as to a bad transmission! So turns out, my transmission was rebuilt for nothing. SCAM artists!Now I m taking my truck to the dealership to have the emissions problem corrected and have them inspect the quality of work done by this AAMCO.Just beware. Go to a local mechanic who s certified in fixing transmissions. This was a complete waste of time and money. I really hope the problem is corrected when the dealership does their maintenance work because otherwise I d have to return back to this place and have them fix whatever was done. Who knows how long it would take them this go around.Finally they provided the absolute worst customer service. During the process of my transmission being repaired, their office phone was disconnected! Very unprofessional and like most shops, they prey on single women! NONE of the pictures posted for this place are authentic. They have over 15 cars just sitting around the shop and I bet it s because they tricked several people with the $895 assessment fee.Service: Transmission

My partner spoke to Larry on the phone a few weeks ago and mentioned my vehicle was under warranty and was told they accepted my warranty, I brought my car in today and left my car for a diagnostic to later be told by Larry they will not be able to work on my car because he was backed up on warranties at the moment and to take my car somewhere else. He s nice over the phone to reel you in, but once you get to the shop it s filled with cigarette smoke and his attitude changes. I picked up my car and my keys were on the counter and not a word was said to me. I bet he treats his Caucasian customers a little better. What a waste of my time!

Holy cow this place is pretty awesome dropped off my 04 mustang gt with transmission issues grinding going into third gear and a bad clutch and Larry took awesome care of me and in a timely manner dropped off the car on a Tuesday had the car back the next Monday if you need any work done on your car highly consider this place I highly recommend itService: Transmission

This is one of best experiences I have ever had with a company. My Son recently move to humble Texas. Found a job but shortly after his car broke down this was a tremendous strain because he just moved there. We did not know anyone any auto shop to go to. I googled humble Texas transmission and Amoco came up. I called spoke to Larry told him what was going on had the car towed there? They diagnose the problem and ultimately fix the transmission, but fixing the transmission was only one piece of the problem. Finding a place that you know nothing about in a strange town, but found a honest, reputable organization delighted me so much. Finding someone that you could trust was much bigger than the automobile problem that my son had with his car I will always be internally grateful for Larry as well as the owner Jay for being very understanding and making me feel like we were family !!Services: Transmission, Engine repair

Transmission had to be rebuilt on my Chevy impala. So, Last WEDNESDAY4/3/19....I was told it would be ready that Friday 4/5 or Monday 4/8. Here we are on 4/10 after being lied to again saying that my car would be ready today at 3:00pm, changed time again. And now tomorrow is 4/11. Piss poor communication, I've been told 6 different times my car will be ready. Yes, I've kept record because I expect excellent customer service, and have gotten treated horribly, they sound like a bunch of politicians with times your car will be ready, do me a favor, stop the false promises, and just fix my car at the time you say you will, and if you can't, it doesn't hurt to pick up the phone and call, customers appreciate a little communication. It's quite simple and can have good results! They claim to said they've done work to my car, but has sat in the same spot for days! TERRIBLE

Larry was very helpful at this location. Price he quoted was on point. Turns out he had to do more than originally diagnosed so it was fixed under the original estimate. Tech took the car for a test drive to make sure all was good and another truck threw a rock and cracked the windshield. This was also replaced for free. This is pretty unheard of in the auto repair biz. Was happy with their work and will definitely go back for future auto repairs. Thanks for all the help.Service: Air conditioning

Took my truck here and received a quote. Cheaper than new so I let Larry's crew fix it. He put in new oil seal for a discount and it's been running great ever since. I highly recommend this shop.

This location is awesome. I had issues with my AC and with this Texas heat you want to make sure the AC in your car is blowing snow. I dropped off my car and Larry called and advised of the issue in a timely manner. I was also informed about another underlining issue that I was unaware of. He gave me everything in detail of what was wrong with my car and a clear cut price of what it cost to fix. I picked up my car and the AC is working perfect. He also fixed the oil leak problem I had as well. Larry was upfront and honest and that's the type of people you want working on your vehicle. They overpriced on torque converter and they messed up my exhaust pipe cracked it when they put the transmission in and they didn t want to give me an invoice with all the parts that are used I don t recommend waste of money something that should have cost $3500 came out to be $7800

Jay and Larry are the best in the business! Humble AAMCO had my car all fixed up in the same time I was still on the waiting list for the dealership to even schedule the initial diagnostics. My car would have cost too much and traded in at a loss. But these guys saved my car for less than half the cost of estimates from other places that could not do the work but referred me to the dealership. Thank you Larry and Jay! My transmission repair came with a warranty, which is rare to find. Larry is trustworthy and sticks to his word. He made every effort to ensure we understood our transmission repair, and he stood by his word and deadlines. This is the place to go for your automotive business needs. They go above and beyond and they were able to help us navigate through our warranty troubles. Jay and co. are the best we have found in the Humble/ Atascocita area. We dont live close to this location, however it is worth the drive to get superlative service. Went to have a free diagnostic ended up charging me $800 for further inspection cause they swore it was a major issue. Tried to charge me 4500$ on top of that to repair transmission. Decided to go with my gut took it to Mazda. Nothing was wrong with the car besides lose bolts and plugs. so glad I listen to my gut instinct and didn t waste 4500$. I am confident in recommending this location to meet your vehicle services. The price is reasonable and I received a warranty with my transmission services. I like the fact once the services is done, Mr. Larry tells you to bring your vehicle back in 7 days no more then 2 weeks just to make sure everything is good and he advised if I spot a drop of oil bring it back. Mr. Larry was very professional and clear and if you dont understand he will explain. I even received a refrigerator magnet so my sons know to bring their vehicle to Mr. Larry location for their vehicle repairs. I will refer family and friends to this location.

Customer service is not dead - it is at AAMCO Transmission and Total Car Care in Humble. Larry and his crew were wonderful, not only did they repair my transmission, Larry called to tell me there was work needed on the front end CV joints etc. and as the car was already pulled apart he would not charge labor, just parts. The guys found a couple of other small things that were wrong and these were also fixed - my car runs smoother now than when I bought it in 2006. I feel like I have a new vehicle. I highly recommend Larry and his team if you need work done on your car. One of the best customer service experiences I have had in a long time, believe me.

I took my van to the dealership and they kept it for a week before telling me what the problem was. Then they wanted $6,000 to fix my transmission that shouldn't even need to be fixed. I did my research and called many shops before talking to Larry. He was super knowledgeable. I decided to take my van to Larry and they fixed my van and saved me a lot of money. This was over a year ago and no problems. Thank you Humble AAMCO for being an honest shop.

I just move back home from the military and didn t know anybody that I could trust to service my Pathfinder. I found Larry and the guys here in Humble and they serviced my transmission and flushed and changed my coolant, they even went over my whole vehicle and didn t find anything else wrong with it unlike other shops that will lie to you. I even got my truck back later the same day!!! The price was fair and reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done. Thank you Larry and the guys for everything and thank you Aamco!!! I can now say that I trust Larry and the guys to take all my vehicles to and I won t take any of my vehicles anywhere else!!!! Go to these guys, their awesome!!! I came here thinking I needed my transmission flush and ended up needing to fix my transmission I m honestly grateful I went up here because I got tomeet Larry and he explained to me step by step and showed me the issue of the transmission i like the fact that Larry cuts straight to the point and he got the job done because my car is fixed, if I have any issues AAMCO will be my go to moving forward. Today, was the most inhumane experience I ve ever had with a car shop. After leaving my car with them overnight , I was not updated on what was going on with my car and had to call them to get an update the next evening. When I spoke with Mr. Larry, he was very rude to me after hearing my baby starting to cry in the background. I asked him for a moment to relocate to a quieter spot in my house and apologized repeatedly to him for my baby crying. He continued to be very rude. I said to him I m so sorry I can t hear you, just a sec . He snarled and groaned rudely and said, Ugh, I bet you can t! I also could not hear him due to the phone breaking up. After finally moving to a quieter spot and getting info I needed. I politely told him I felt that he had been rude when addressing my baby crying. He responded very rudely, YOU CAN GO TAKE YOUR CAR TO ANOTHER SHOP THEN! If you ve got a problem with me already take your car somewhere else. I told him politely, Sir, I don t have a problem with you, I just felt you were very rude about my baby crying, even after I apologized to you multiple times . He replied BYE MAAM YOU CAN TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE .I never got an apology for rude actions and received terrible customer service from MR. LARRY. I am picking up my car and I WILL BE TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE .Service: Transmission

Larry & the guys at AAMCO did a great job with my Tahoe. I took it in after I started noticing some problems and they were quick to identify the issue. They were specific in exactly what all needed to be done, the price was fair, and they completed the work in a timely manner.
