Recommended by long time Humble area auto specialist. Efficient and responsive service. Updated regularly on status and estimated completion. Work finished on time at agreed upon price. Overall excellent experience and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Excellent work! My truck had a huge transmission issue and these guys brought my truck back to life. Runs better than ever. Didnt have much money to work with and they helped me out a lot and gave me a price i could work with. Check them out for any Transsminion issues. I have trouble trusting people but with all my heart check these guys out.

The guys at A1 were very honest and helpful and got my car back to me before it was promised. My only criticism is that there needs to be a bigger sign as it is behind a glass shop and the transmission shop sign is tiny. Also, communication could ve been a bit better as I had to call several times to get updates, but overall I had a great experience and Sam was extremely helpful and super nice.

We went to this place to get our transmission rebuilt. Sam is friendly when he greets you but the service as far as getting our transmission fix having was horrible. As soon as we got our truck back it was hell for us. We make a living using our truck. It s our bread and butter. We had to take it back two times and both times the problem was never solved. They didn t even put the seals on the transmission on correctly. We were ALWAYS leaking oil. We always got the run around and were always given some kind of excuse. We thought we were dealing with someone honest & professional but sad to say that was not the case. We paid almost $5,000.00 to get our transmission rebuiltTransmission only last 1 year and a half, before giving up.Unfortunately Had no warranty so we were force to get it fixed again paying another shop.Unfortunately for me I could never refer anyone to this shop! For anyone out there always make sure to do your research and read reviews before handing your hard earned money to someone out there. It was a thumbs down to this shop for me

I just called A 1 Transmission after speaking with a freind who also had transmission problems . He highly encouraged me to calll Sam . Today is 6 July 2023 . I'm having the vehicle towed 63 miles to have a diagnostic performed by honest Sam. I let him know that I really need to be returning to La. By late next week. He is sounding pretty optimistic . I will keep . You all informed .

Had my transmission rebuilt about a month ago (wanted to give it a few weeks of driving before writing a review). My 10 y/o car drives like it's brand new. Took a bit of time, but that's the nature of the world today. In fact, Sam went above and beyond to get the rarely ordered parts for my stick shift. Samantha and Sam are very easy to talk to and they gave me a fair price that I can certainly live with. Highly, highly recommend.Service: Transmission

My time here was a complete waist of 8000 k. DO NOT go there. The way he treated me after i paid him to rebuild my transmission not once but twice, and is still broken. He removes himself completely from being responsible for anything, even after I got my vehicle back one week after it leaving his shop. He is not deserving of business and you should go up the street or any reputable shop. Period. I can t make this stuff up. I don t even leave reviews, if I get fair treatment, but this place and it s owner Sam deserve no business.

Sam and his daughter Samantha are such a pleasure to deal with. They just took care of my transmission on my Ford F-250 Super duty in record time. If you've ever had to have transmission work done you know it can take forever and not all shops are honest. I've known Sam and his work for the better part of 15+ years and would never go anywhere else. I have referred many people to them and will continue to do so.

I took my truck to them with symptoms I was pretty sure that my transmission was going out! I explained my symptoms to him and he told me right off the bat, sir I don t think it s a transmission issue. Sounds like a clogged exhaust. So They took my truck for a test drive to see for themselves and after returning said it s not your transmission, transmission is working fine & to check for clogged catalytic converters. So I went to the muffler shop and got that addressed that same afternoon. The truck runs now like it never happened! This man knows his stuff! Thank you for saving me a couple grand. Other shops were ready to tear my transmission apart and replace different things! Imagine if I would of gotten it rebuilt and it still did the same thing!

In an age when it is hard not to run into a corrupt and unethical business owner/business, it was a breath of fresh air to have had the luck to be referred to A1 Transmissions. Sam the owner is honest and a great customer service individual that wants to truly do right by his clients. Sam and the team inspected my car over two days and found no issues with an engine light code that had come on. As another reviewer stated, keep up the great work! Glad you are in the area and in business!!!

My auto repair shop, DSL, in Porter, recommended A1 Discount when my transmission started acting up. I wasn't surprised to find that I got the same level of service from Sam and his shop that I do from my mechanic. Top notch, efficient and reasonably priced. I may have a light glitch, but have spoken with Sam and am confident they stand behind their work... and their warranty. Keep up the great work !!!

Called this place about getting a transmission flush and spoke to the owner Sam. He asked me why I wanted to do a flush and what was wrong with my transmission. After i explained to him what my truck was doing he then explained to me why a transmission flush would not help me with the issue i was having. He explained to me how it would do more bad then good in the long run. I appreciate Sam trying to educate me on the issue I was having and trying to solve the problem instead of just taking my money. I did not end up getting any work done but I will definitely come back in the future if I ever need any transmission work.

My car broke down right next to this shop and the owner went above and beyond to help me! Once we pushed my car to his driveway he ran the emissions test on it and gave me a reference to a very trustworthy mechanic that could fix my car since he does transmissions and my car needed a catalytic converter! He was so helpful and nice. I appreciate his honesty and help tremendously! Thank you!

I thought I had a serious transmission problem! While driving at freeway speeds my car would do a "DOWN SHIFT" big time. I left my car with Sam for one day, came back to see what the diagnoses was and how much to fix it. Sam told me the problem was only a faulty "brake switch plunger" made of plastic. Long story short, Sam had replaced the part and would not let me pay him! Then he told me that one day I would actually have a transmission problem and would know where to go! That was probably 6 or 7 years ago. It's not the type of thing you forget. I have a 2012 Tahoe with 57k miles in desperate need of a transmission flush. The tranny was slipping. I called asking for a quote for a flush and was told they don't do flushes they completely change the fluid! I was shocked, and then shocked again by the awesome price I was given, which was 1/2 of what I got from another place. I dropped it off and went to work, within a few hours I got my car back. Transmission runs great! I have worked in the city of Humble for almost 12 years and never knew how awesome the people at A-1 are. I would recommend these guys to anybody in need of good, affordable transmission work!!!!

Honest, excellent service. Thought me a thing or two about my transmission and what to look out for before giving in to someone just trying to make money off of me. Took my vehicle in to for a second opinion after A Plus transmissions told me that my transmission needed to be repaired and it would run me a couple thousands of dollars. A-1 told me it was not so and my transmission is just fine. I will highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you for your honest and excellent service!

Stay away from this place as you can. I seriously doubt the validity of all the positive feedback. Many companies hire third party companies to leave positive feedback. They will lure you in with free estimates once they take down your transmission. You are screwed over and give you ridiculous estimates. Do yourself a favor stay away from this place.

My 1997 Lexus had some issues with the transmission, so it was towed to A1 transmission, complete check up and diagnose of the problem. Rebuild and now it feel like I am driving new Lexus. Thanks A1 family.

Honest and trustworthy. Brought my truck in thinking I had a transmission issue. They reviewed /drove and determined it was an engine misfire not a transmission problem. Recommended me to a near by mechanic. Honest and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

The gentleman that owns and runs the business is a very fair and kind person. He really cares about people and he is up front and honest with price and work. I suggest anyone who is having transmission problems give this place a try, you won't be disappointed in the work or the people.

Called for a routine fluid and filter change and was very impressed with the level of customer service. They recommended that I not change and explained why. I hope I never have any transmission problems but if I do I know where i'm going. Thank you A-1
