Fraud Alert! Zach Auto Repair is running a scam. I went in for state inspection because of a Groupon deal. They failed my car for breaks and wiper blades. I needed the inspection completed and authorized the change. They did not have the part in stock and I needed to wait for it to be delivered. During my wait 5 other customers walked in for the inspection and had the exact same problem I did. I then asked to be able to check my old break pads since the part was still not there. They refused and said they had to give my break pads to the company that sells them to get the other ones. After I expressed my disappointment to them they offered to do the brake pads for $84 and give me a full synthetic oil change the next time I came in. I'm writing this review today because I came back for the oil change and there was another woman with the same problem. After I expressed my skepticism again they refused to give me the oil change for free and wanted me to pay for parts. I asked to speak with the owner and was told no matter what the owner said they would no longer offer the deal.I am sitting in front of Zack Auto Repair writing this review when the manager came out to ask what he could do to stop me from writing it. He offered to give me the full synthetic oil change completely free but refused. This shop is actually cheating people out of their money and using their Groupon as bait. Please post a response if you can and we can get together to stop this from happening to other people.

*Customers beware*They attract customers by posting highly discounted ads in YellowPages and Groupon , say like $10 for state inspection while the market cost is around $25. Once you enter their premise, they'll do a spot check and conclude the brakes and wipers are bad and need replacement, no matter how good yours actually is. In my case, for 2yr old car with 14K miles, they said front brake pad need replacement which cost about $250 song with wipers. I had full checkup 2 months back at the showroom where car certified for it's great condition. I left their center and went to nearby Take5. Within minutes they said Car is all good and certified Pass for state inspection. They replaced the wiper for $12.5 which is good deal.

Alert ! Fraud Mechanic Shop. They selling Groupon deals for State Inspection to attract customers and when you go there they will intentionally fail it and than ask you to get your tyres or break shoes replace and than charge you $200 - $500. So you purchased deal to save $20 but end up paying a hefty amount.Same day I went to branded Shop and my inspection done with no issues. My Story(What actually fraud done):Called Zac after buying GroupOn and they said you can walkin.I went their on Saturday 7th April 2019 at 10 am after driving 9 miles and they said come after 2 hours ,than I roamed around with my kid with no option and reached back at 12 pm and Zac auto guy said you stay inside office ,we will handle. He maid me wait and kept my car switched on for 30 minutes and he just moved my car and put a break. After 30 min he came to me and said your car break shoes are gone and have to replace it and asked me do you feel any issue with breaks,I said their is no issue in breaks all good but he insisted me to come on Monday and get them done than only my State inspection will be passed. When I said I can come on Monday than he said I can get my inspection passed under the table in Sugar land where he can refer and they will charge $100.Clearly he was fooling and I know very well.Than I left this fraud shop and went to my own branded shop and asked them to do my inspection ,they did it and my car passed with no issues. This to alert don't get into trap of these fraud Auto repair shops.

!! FRAUD ALERT !!I suggest you never ever come to this place,I came here for state inspection using groupon coupon and when I came here they asked me to go the next place for inspection and those people sent me back to the office again and there she called someone and some guy came and when he saw the groupon coupon he said no we are not doing state inspection and he left. No explanation no sorry no nothing. They just post some ads on groupon with discounts and after coming there they say simply we dont do groupons, as simple as that. I just read other reviews that they cheat all the customers by doing fraud while inspection saying braking pads and wiper blades for new vehicles

The owner set up a payment plan which was acomplete lie. I was told that I would pay $50 a week for 90 days and this was completely false. I highly highly do not recommend this company for anyone to take their automobile there for service or repair.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Stay away from this place! The service is sub-par. I went in to get my brakes fixed and they nickel and dimed me. They told me i had so many things wrong with my car, but i went to the dealership and nothing was wrong. They are not honest and should not be trusted. They said they put OEM brakes on my car, and when i went to the dealership, i was told they were the cheapest brakes on the market. Also, do not sign up for their predatory loan that they offer. It is a trap, and not worth it. Dont trust these crooks, go to a place with integrity. I found out about this place because of groupon, and still ended up paying more even though i spent money on the groupon. They are not honest, dont trust this awful place unless you like wasting your money.Service: Brakes

Wow... just wow.. I first used their service 3 years ago when my lexus needed the brakes actuator to be replaced due to the break sign it was giving. But they told me my break padsand rotors needed replacement instead eventhough it was new. After $750 I still had the same issue. Figured out the issue later on with lexus dealership. However I wasn't too upset. Mistakes happen. And Mohammed customer service wasn't too bad and he gave me some free stuffs like free inspection. It wasn't much... at least he tried. So in return I brought over pastries for them for X-mas. Today, I called to book an appointment for an inspection. I dont know who the rude person they now have there is but Jeez... 1st the guy said he could only schedule me tomorrow at noon as he was booked today. I said fine. Yet he wouldn't proceed to proof that appointment for me. He asked me to go on Groupon. I asked him politely to book the appointment since I was on the line. He said he had other customers and that I had to go to Groupon. And he hung up one.. What's funny is Groupon doesn't take appointment. It only takes payment. And Groupon even says you have to call for an appointment. That was such a horrible experience. Never setting my feet there. You shouldn't if you know what is good for youServices: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

AMAZING! I went for my first time for an oil change and to change my brake pads. He threw in a free tire rotation just to be courteous!! Mohamed was the gentleman that helped me out and was extremely welcoming. A lot of other mechanic shops will scam you and try to squeeze money out of you, but Mohammad made me feel comfortable and only did repairs on what I needed. Definitely coming back soon!!

2020 Update! I hate to say it but they have not delivered on the follow up visit. Front brakes turned out well, but rear brakes squeal like crazy and I've been back twice for them to correct the problem, but they can't seem to straighten the issue out. So now I have the squeakiest NEW brakes in the neighborhood! Can't get a callback to do it right, but after two times, I'm not sure a third visit would help... I'll leave the original visit below.I'm glad I found this shop! I needed new brakes and rotors. Not only did their quote save me at least $400 over the dealer quote, I got to pick my own parts. Highly recommended!

Mike was misleading and not sure about mechanic work at all. I paid $2800 dollars to get my valve cover gasket and a couple of services as well. 9 months later I came to let him know my engine light came back, he responded in a very condescending and rude manner. Denied that anything was wrong with the car and refused to honor the warranty. He refused to fix the issue and later blamed it on a different part for an oil leak.I later took it to another mechanic for an accurate evaluation and diagnosis of the car, they later advised that my gasket was never touched. This led me to pay another $1k after the fact. When I showed up at the shop, mike talked to me as if I was a delusion and had no idea what I was saying. he couldn't even do the needful to at least show me where the leak was. Avoid this place at all costs, especially if you're a woman, you'll be used instantly, no questions asked. There are better places on the market.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Oil change

These guys are awesome! My first time going to them and the customer service was excellent. I stopped in for a much needed oil change and tire rotation before getting on the road for a four hour drive. William made sure I was in and out under an hour. They also did a multipoint check for my car and reminded me what I maintenance I needed to focus on next. The best part is that I paid HALF of what I would ve paid at a dealership for the exact same thing! Zack s Auto Repair is now my go to place for my cars!

Went in for state inspection (which I found on GroupOn for a great price) and ended up getting my windshield repaired along with oil changed. Honestly, they delivered great service and fair prices! To top it off, they were fast!!! That's always a plus in my book! Definitely recommend and will be back!

Wanted my car to be repaired quickly so I showed up very early about 10 minutes before they open. I showed up the day before wanting service wasn't able to because I didn't have an appointment, worth a shot. The owner told me to come early the next day at opening and I would be in and out in 45 minutes. I waited close to an hour and 30 minutes for service, mind you I was the only customer waiting. While there were 3 or 4 mechanics walking around. I got frustrated and walked out. Poor customer service. First and only time I will be visiting this shop.

They over book so you will be waiting for hours. they don t even do the inspection correctly and then tell you you need something fixed. They Completely over charged me for repairs and then gave me the wrong paperwork I would not recommend coming here. While moving my car back and forth and people walking around it there was even a scratch on my car then said it was already there, they did fix it but refused to take responsibility. No matter how the Groupon looks DO NOT COME HERE. I will be reporting them. They got me don t let them get you! They took advantage of the wrong girl. Biggest scam ever.Service: Brakes

They don't honor their Groupon deals. I called them, told them I had a $139 coupon for front and rear brakes. They asked which type of vehicle, then made an appointment. When I show up, that's when they bothered to tell me that my vehicle has rear drums and that it would be an extra $350. I wasted 2 hours of driving, took off of work early, paid several tolls, and now I have to fight with Groupon for a refund. Don't try to snake people at the door. Be honest upfront. If my vehicle isn't covered under the coupon then advertise honestly or be upfront on the phone instead of wasting people's time and money.Service: Brakes

I made the mistake of purchasing an Auto Detailing service from this place on Groupon. After paying for it, the instructions said to call to set up an appointment. I am not sure who answered the phone, but I only managed to say "Hello, I purchased a detail service from..." He immediately cut me off and said, "We're busy. Call back Wednesday." If they are this unprofessional on the phone I don't want them doing anything on my car. Unfortunately, the $75 is not refundable, so I'll just chalk it up as a $75 life lesson.

Called to make an appointment for today on Friday 11/12/2021. Confirmed that I would be coming in today at 12:30 for an inspection. Gave my first and last name and repeated the time and date multiple times. The owner ensured it was no problem. Took off work today and drove 50 minutes round trip to get it done. Got there and the guy at the desk said the inspector just left. Why on earth would you book an appointment knowing the inspector wouldn t be there. And if it was an emergency, why not call your customers and tell them not to come?? So unbelievably unprofessional.

After my first visit here, I'm sold on giving Zack Auto Repair my business from now on. The guys here are extremely helpful and down to earth. They let you know exactly what to expect with your car care and get it done in a timely manner! They found issues I wasn't aware of and showed me exactly where the problem was and how it would be repaired. The prices are very reasonable as well.

These guys are alright by me. I'd definitely recommend them. Had an issue with our Soul and they took care of it. A little out the way but worth every penny. Thanks The "Taylor's"

Mohammed seemed to be a nice enough guy, however the service took hours while I sat and waited with my wife (when there wasn't even anyone else there) and they charged me a significant amount extra for a brake flush which apparently they did not do. I had my oil changed yesterday, a week and a half after Zack's did my brake repairs, and one of the things that they recommended I do was a brake flush as they said that it was dirty and did not appear to have been done anytime recently. I was roped in by the Groupon for cheap brake replacement since mine needed to be done, but they ended up charging a lot for extra items that were not included and multiple hours of labor even though we were the only customers there and the work could have easily been done in an hour or less by any other repair shop. The final bill was expensive for the repairs that were done, and they did not even do the brake fluid flush for which they charged me extra. I would greatly appreciate a refund for services charged but never completed as that is complete fraud and theft.

Poor experience. I went to get an oil change, tire rotation, and state inspection that I purchased on groupon. This was my second time at the store, and have had no work done since my last time there. I made a 4:30 appointment days prior, and was there until 6:15. For very routine stuff. We realize that the lug key is missing and they can't rotate my tires. I suspect that they lost my lug key last time I was there, and ask if they can do anything for me. The manager becomes confrontational, then pretends as if he's doing me a favor by not charging me $13 for "shop materials" beyond the groupon price. And says that if I buy a new lug kit (at a price I know is too expensive) he won't charge me labor. Now I'm having to call dealerships to pick up the key somewhere else. And I'll rotate my tires myself to avoid having to go back there, even though it would be free. I don't trust them to take less than an hour or actually honor their commitment. I eagerly look forward to never coming back here.EDIT: to address their response, I was clearly not happy when I left. And I was not offered a free oil change. I don't mean to disparage a business but this was false and wanted to address it.

I initially chose Zack s Auto since their prices were much cheaper than quotes I got from other repair shops. That being said, these repairs took twice as long as estimated and communication regarding the repairs was quite poor. I had my car at Zack s Auto for 5 days until I realized that on the day we agreed the repairs would be completed, the shop hadn t started the work yet. I had to call back multiple times to get updates on the progress of my car and to remind them of other small things that I had originally asked to be checked on. Everyone I spoke to was apologetic but every day of not having a car is very costly / inconvenient so it would be nice to get better time estimates and updates. Also, when paying for my repairs the manager sprung an extra $50 onto my bill that was never discussed beforehand which puts you in a position that's pretty hard to not pay the extra cost.

Today was my first time visiting them through a groupon promo for my state inspection. They advise me of my brakes and wipers that needed to be fixed for my inspection to be approved. They have various options for you if little or short on funds. Great communication, will return in the future for my next inspection.

Mohammed was able to repair both the cars I have in time and resolved all the issues. Great service. I had issues with engine noise on my genesis and they told me the issue right away and fixed it for a good price. I also got my Volvo was overheating. Now the car runs smooth and great with no problems.

Really nice people and good service. I came in for a Texas inspection for my 2014 Hyundai Sonata but he identified that I needed brake pads on the front as well before I can pass. He gave me a good price and I'm happy with the service.

Highly recommended. We had our vehicle looked at by at least 4 different mechanics and could never get our problems solved. It took about 2 years of frustration before we took it to Zack s, explained our dilemma, and left it for him to look at. He called me with a diagnosis and had it running smoothly with an explanation of the issues. What I was being told elsewhere and would have cost us a ridiculous amount of money came back as specific issues he was able to identify. The diagnostics were his, not a machine that gives vague codes and uncertain possible fixes. Highly recommend this garage. Honest, knowledgeable and a speedy turn around time. This will be my go to repair centre for the vehicles we have now and in the future. I just used once and feeled like no one should visit them and spend our valuable time. I just used state inspection service from them on Groupon. When i place appointment they called me to come at 12. When i reached there they put me on hold for more than 40 mins. Aftrr 40 mins they just took my car for state inspection and after 5 mins they told me that your brakes are not good, you have to change this. I have changed my brake pads and resurfaced car rotors 4 months ago. Than too he refused to perform state inspection. Next morning o took my car to toyota dealer to inspect brakes and they did tell me that you car brakes are more than 4mm so you dont have to change it for about 6 months. I went to them again and told them about dealer inspection but than too they refused to do state inspection. They just post lower price on marketing pages but actually when we visit them the tell us do repair with them and then they will give us service, those service which we bought from Groupon etc. Basically they just want to make money from those people who buy Groupon or other online services. I would prefer not to buy any service from them if you really dont want to waste your time .

Don't trust you car to these guys. Arab guy in the office was very rude. Groupon was $36 for oil change. Once I was there, they wanted to charge $11 more. Next day my car started making a weird noise that comes and goes and ac stopped working for a while. These things never happened to my car before. I called and they say their mechanic would check it. Once there, they say I must leave my car and they will charge me to have it checked. ?????

Read the other negative reviews and you'll notice a pattern. I wish I did before making the mistake of taking my car here. They use Groupon as bait to get people in the doors and then try their very best to take advantage of them in any way possible.I waited a while before posting this review because I have a warranty on the parts but at this point, I could care less about the warranty. I would rather save someone else the headache. Here's my experience with Zack Auto Repair:Day 1 - I called in the morning to let them know about the Groupons I purchased and to get on the schedule. They told me to come in after lunch and it should only take an hour. I arrive at the shop around 2pm and upon further inspection they tell me I will need my rotors replaced as well. Mohammed gives me a quote for everything which comes out to be around $840. I called around a couple other shops that I have been to in the past to get their pricing and they were significantly less. Mohammed verbally agrees to do the work for the same price so I give him the keys. A few hours go by and I inquire about the status of the repair. I'm told the wrong parts came in and they are waiting on the correct parts. (I'm pretty sure he ordered the wrong parts on accident but he blamed the parts store). Some more time passes and I'm told the parts store is closed and the brakes are already off my car so I'll have to find a ride to get home and I can pick up my car the next day. They didn't have any loaners and they would not pay for an Uber but he was kind enough to drop me off at a nearby restaurant while I waited for my wife to come get me. 5 hours of my life wasted on this day.Day 2 - My wife drops me off around 2 or 3pm and I'm thinking I just need to pay the amount we agreed upon yesterday, pick up the car, and go. Upon arrival, Mohammed says I owe $840. And on top of that, he said he would not honor the Groupon and that I could call them and cancel it. I reminded him about the conversation we had the day before regarding the price being significantly less and he started coming up with one lie after another. We argued for about 2 hours and he essentially said that's the price or I'm not getting my car back. On top of that, he said since I was arguing, I would need to pay cash, they won't accept a card payment. He lends me a loaner to go to the bank and I come back with the cash and he gives me $40 back like he was doing me a favor for the inconvenience when the price we agreed to the day before was around $200 less. Another 4 hours or so of my life wasted on this day.To top it all off the parts used rust frequently and squeak significantly in the mornings.Save yourself the headache, stress, deceit, mistreatment, and just go to another more reputable and professional shop
