Not to thrilled with this place.They replaced the throttle body and map sensor that I had already replaced. They replaced the gas pedal and cleared the codes. Now a month and a half later it's having the same issues, only worse since it went into limp mode and would not go over 20 mph. Great waste of $1300 since I have to take it to a dealership to actually get it fixed.May be a great place, but I couldn't understand anything spoken due to the thick accent and communication is important when dealing with car issues

Mr. Van is very flexible and nice. As a fellow mechanic I had to resort to him for changing out my power steering rack (rack and pinion) due to not having a lift. His price beat all the other price easily. The other repair shop ranged from 950-1300. He quickly gave me a quote for 820 for part, labor, and alignment which is very cheap if you know what goes into this affect. He advise only what needed to be done. This was the first time I used him; actually found him through google and now I know if I ever need a mechanic Mr. Van is the go to!! Straight forward, no upselling and ripping off customers. What ever is broken thats what van will fix. Because the service here is great. There is a longer turn over time for your vehicle to be fixed. They have so many customers I bring all my cars here. 10 stars

Very genuine and reliable. His price is reasonable. He would only suggest what s needed and not trying to scam you. It takes a little time for him to fix your car but i dont mind since he s very busy. Would only trust my car with him.

I give him 1 million stars! Vann was honest and did not overcharge me. My pump had a leak and he called Cadillac and got the part delivered to his shop. He did an amazing job! It did not take long to fix, either.I highly recommend hi..

I'd give "0" stars if I could!! I was recommended this shop by a coworker and decided to take my car. My AC stopped blowing, the blower motor had went out. Well they supposedly fixed it, NOT! My car blows air but it's not cold air like it was before. This shop made a leak somewhere because freon will not stay in my car. I took my car back a few times, instead of them searching for the leak they just poured stop leak in my system and put freon. I heard you should NEVER use stop leak in an AC system!! Then my dashboard is coming out of place, because they didn't snap it back in place so it makes an really annoying noise. I took it back and instead of them fixing it they just put some tape on the dash!!! I'm really annoyed and upset with this shop and wouldn't recommend to ANYONE. I spent a lot of gas and time traveling to Van's auto service to only come out in a worse situation!!! Went back to Van's Auto shop today 6/1/19 I gave him a chance to RIGHT his WRONGS and instead he was rude, unprofessional, and didn't take blame for his mistakes. He made up every excuse not to fix my car correctly. He was very mad and upset about my previous review! If you don't want BAD reviews DON'T do BAD business!! This is not the type of business you want to take your car to, a place that doesn't admit to their wrong doing!! STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!

the owner is a great mechanic...handles customers challenge(s) as quickly as possible. On my visit...I literally went into the workshop and was out earlier than expected....

Good service at reasonable price! Mr. Van treated customer with respect and care like he treats his friends. On another long trip late in the day, my car got a check engine light on, Mr. Van took a few readings and advised few steps to take for a safe trip but did not cost anything. Thanks for his extra-care that other shops would not do!Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment

Knowledgeable owner. Van gave me reasonable prices when quoting my car's repairs. The parts were given based on customers' choices (original, aftermarket, used...) The jobs were done well.However, the repair may take longer than expectations both from the owner and the customers. Take alternative transportation if you want to leave your car here for repairs.

Mr. Van is very knowledgeable and very reasonable. I was quoted approximately $1,400 ($950 for the part and $450 for labor) by one of the big auto repair companies for what was wrong with my vehicle. A friend referred me to Mr. Van. He came up with the same diagnosis and he was ok with me buying the part (which btw cost me only $140 on Amazon). Mr. Van charged me only $265 for labor. My total cost was $405 (parts and labor)!!!!!I will definitely recommend Mr. Van to anyone!!!!

I am really disappointed in this auto shop after being highly recommended by a family member. Honestly if this is how he treats his customers I will never have gone to him. If I know what I know now about this shop I will not step there. Horrible. I took my vehicle to put in a new or refurbished engine. I had to go pick up my vehicle up after many months in his shop. He kept saying he needs a sensor that apparently was ordered and never came. I finally decided to pick up my vehicle. I cant believe he left my vehicle empty of gas literally on E. My AC was out, I don't know what he did, AC in red zone. The engine light and other lights were on plus my front passenger tire was losing air and I had just purchased brand new tire on the vehicle before taking it there. My hood cannot close anymore. I believe he though I will not pick up my vehicle was taking my vehicle parts and using on others example was my latch for the hood not latching any more. I have paid him his for his service and everything went south. Bad business here I will not come anywhere close to this shop.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Excellent mechanic. My family and I have been coming to him for over 10 years. His service has been amazing. I have been going to Van since 1995. I remember forgetting my wallet a while back around this time and Van told me not to worry and wished me a happy holiday season. I highly recommend Van

I have had my car serviced at Van Auto Svc several times. The owner is a very nice person and do not overcharge for his work. He is also fine with you purchasing the part at some other place and bring it over. His turn-around time is excellent and the pricing is clear and reasonable.Would definitely recommend as a trust-worthy mechanic.

I found a mechanic for life! I brought my car in for new breaks, rotors and an oil change for a cost of only $318! I had two other quotes that were over $400 and those did not include an oil change. I was only there for an hour and a half. Mr. Van has superb customer service. He even gave me a bottle of wine! If you live in the Alief area and are in need of a mechanic I highly recommend Van s Auto Service!

Van thank you for being our mechanic for years. He is always here to lend a helping hand. If Van can't fix it, he will tell you straight out. Van is my favorite because he will look closely for days until he comes up with a solution. If he cant, he will refer you to someone else without charge. I've been going to Van's for at least 15 years plus. Never not 1� I had any bad experience. He IS very HONEST AND DO GREAT AMAZING WORK. HARD WORKING MAN. I RECOMMEND HIM AS A MECHANIC FOR ANY VEHICLE.

A really good place to service your car. I was recommended this place by a friend and I went there because my car would turn off after starting it but Van checked it and made sure it was alright. I haven't add any problem with my car. I would also recommend to a Friend.

Van replaced a power steering pump & it failed while driving home from the shop. Figured I'd take it back in the morning but decided to change the brakes before doing so (new cross drilled rotors & CC pads delivered that day. I leaked brake fluid out the reservoir and it settled on to the rack/pin, so when I took it back, he took one look and said my rack was leaking & needed to be replaced. Due to language barrier I tried to explain but to no avail & I wasn't completely sure that my rack hadn't failed. Stored the car for close to a year & took it back near expiration of part warranty w/no invoice. Once I explained the situation. he asked for paperwork but I didn't have it, so I left the car there and went home to find the invoice. He pulled up his records, replaced the pump (again) and when I called a few days later to say I couldn't find the invoice and was coming to pick it up, I was surprised to find out he had replaced the pump because he discovered that the pump was bad. He didn't have to do that... Bottom line, he is busy and will most likely not call you when your car is ready, but he is honest & fair...Service: Steering & suspension repair

I come to Van for all my auto services (for about 5 years now). He has really good prices and does a really good job with repairs. My only thing is that I feel he needs more workers because the more this place gets known the longer I have to wait from my car to be ready.

This place is the only placd I allow to touch my car. I've been going to them for years. They are honest and never try to squeeze any extra coins out of you just because you're a woman. If you're in search for a good mechanic, I recommend this place.

I will never recommend this mechanic to anyone, after Autozone, and O'REILLY had already diagnosed my car, this guy charged me $150 just to fo the same thing that has already been done, and kept my car for good 7 hours doing nothing.

Whatever car service you need, they can provide. Sometimes they may take a while when they are busy. But overall, friendly service and affordable. Van will explain the costs to you.

Do not go to this shop especially if you re black or Hispanic he will rip you off and don t care nothing about it. He diagnostic my car and got it all wrong and than mess it up and And try to charge me for messing up my car
