Went to get oil change at the location on shepherd. They spilled oil all over my engine block and it has not stopped leaking/dripping on my driveway. It is all over the under carriage of my car. It is pooled up everywhere in engine block. There were two people who changed my oil. One of them was completely careless when pouring the new oil In. They did not care to tell me they spilled the oil everywhere. This can be a huge saftey issue if not properly addressed. I still don t know if they cracked anything under neath or if it s just excess they poured all over the engine block/ on my belts and everything. Absolutely careless employees. I take great care of my vehicle and it sucks when you pay to have a service and this happens.

Great customer service and very quick. It was my first time using a Take 5 Oil Change and I will definitely be back. A big shout out to Jacob for going above and beyond. A lot of oil change places will tell you that you need a new engine or cabin filter. Jacob showed me the difference between my current and the new ones. I highly recommend this location.

Been to this location several times...as a woman I like it because I feel like other places try to upsell me too much. Everyone here is respectful and efficient. I get my oil change, filters, and windshield wipers changed here, as well as my inspections. I could probably do the filters and wipers on my own but they don't charge an arm and a leg so I get it all done here for convenience. If something doesn't need to be changed, though, they don't try to convince me to change it anyway. At jiffy lube if my filters are a month old they would still try to get me to change it. I've also never had a long wait at take 5. Overall I'm happy with the service and the professionalism of the staff.

I waited an hour for an inspection and then had to leave because of another appointment so I never got my inspection done. They only had 2 people working. So much for 5 minutes. They took approximately 25 minutes for each car. So if you have time to wait Take 5 is the perfect place

I love this place! Super fast and efficient. The team is always courteous and they always offer you a cold water while while you wait. The price is great for the speed of service and the offer a generous 25% Veteran discount that will always keep me coming back!

Beyond disappointed and extremely upset! I have a brand new car. First ever oil change and they completely F d my car and my holiday!!!!Now I was left stranded on Thanksgiving day off a highway with damage. So maybe being so quick should be the reason to never go here again. They are too rushed. Never again!

Great service and fast not 5 minutes but within 30 min to complete. I liked staying in the car, having different pricing options to choose from, their thoroughness on what they checked,, visual confirmation of new oil, and availability of my additional air filters. I will return.

Went to Just 5 for my state vehicle inspection and had a great experience. The gentleman came out to ask what service I needed and informed me about 20mins due to the other vehicles in front of me awaiting service. He came back out offered me a cold bottled water. I stayed in my vehicle the entire time. They have an efficient process for serving you in minimal time as possible. Thank you Just 5 for a swift and pleasant experience.

Amazing service every time I go.. They re always polite to ask if you need anything else and don t try to force you into buying other things they offer. When you do they always let you know about warranties and coupons they offer online that are available to you.

There were 3 cars in front of me. From when I pulled up to when I was done took 31 minutes. They did a great job. Would recommend.

It was average to below. They welcomed me and then forgot about me for 10 minutes. A guy eventually walked over and got me going. Overall it was fine but they didn t check my tires or wash my windshield which I believe were marked on my receipt. They did the job but the Take 5 on Hillcroft is much better

Christian was amazing. He knew exactly what he was doing and has such a humble soul. The entire process was fantastic it was a Saturday morning quite a lot of people but they move fast and are very efficient. Overall 10/10! Completely recommend and will return in the future. Thank you so so much

Immediately upon arriving here I regretted it. Did not appreciate the veiled insults of calling me boss man and chief etcetera. It was very condescending. I also said oil change only and before I knew what was happening this 20 something idiot was beating on my air cleaner housing to get it open. Also enjoyed the $30 penalization for owning a vehicle that takes more than 5 quarts. That must be an awesome way to make a ton of money. There are millions of my truck running around out on the roads. Anyway I will never ever ever be back.

Update: although getting an oil change here a year ago was fast, I went in for an inspections test and had to wait an hour and a half. It was anything but fast and very very frustrating to wait that long, especially when they said they re quick, I had to wait in my car, and the employees hardly said anything to me for the first 45 minutes. I wouldn t recommend this location anymore. It may have changed over the past year, I was pretty frustrated to wait that long.Last year (2022) review:Incredibly fast service. I wish other places would be this quick! Staff were very friendly and helpful. I plan to return here frequently in the future for multiple services. If you re in this area in Houston you won t regret doing the same.

The last time I came to this Take5, I had a horrible experience with the manager at the time. I ended up needing an oil change this evening and at 7:45pm Bryan, Jacob and Allen changed my mind about this place. They did a full oil change right before closing and were fast and efficient. Professional. It was cold, so I stayed in my car. Which was great. Service guy was super nice, showed me my air filter was in bad shape, so got a new one. Took about 20 minutes, start to finish, which includes top off of fluids. I think it was a very reasonable fee and I will go back again.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

They left the caps off my tires after checking the tire pressure. Left screws off my skid plate after changing oil resulting in damage and me having to purchase/repair. I found the atmosphere unfriendly. I normally do not write reviews but received a text requesting that I do so. Unfortunately it s not a good one. You go to these places trusting the staff will be professional and engaged in their jobs, this is not the case here. I paid close to $200 for everything they did and will never go back. How can I trust that the rest of the work was done properly? Did they change the oil filter? Did they replace the drainage bolt properly? These are the questions I am left with.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Was just here yesterday. Never again. I literally told both guys I did NOT want windshield wipers as my next stop was to just buy my own. The last set I got from this place sucked, completely awful. They weren t taking no for an answer so whatever I paid for some. No receipt, charged $118. It s pouring outside today on my way to work on 610 and the wiper literally pops right off and hits the car behind me. Never coming back. So ghetto. Ridiculous.

I believe the young man name was Carlos. He did an amazing job in assisting my husband and I. We had several questions and he didn't hesitate to answer them freely.This was at the Shepherd location in Houston TX.Now we heard the lead guy maybe he was the supervisor on duty at the time/a big tall black guy using profanity towards another worker and repeating the story to other workers loudly without any hesitation. This was the only bomber. We normally go there and never experienced anything like this. Not professional at all.But we will still return because our service guy was awesome

If I could give a zero I would. I ve been coming here (N Shepherd location) for a while now because of the ease of service. On Friday, January 5, 2024, I decided it was time to break ties with this place. I came in for my routine oil change. I asked them if my oil filter needed to be changed and when they took off the lid, everyone seemed to panic a little. Apparently when I was in for my last oil change/air filter change, the new air filter was put in but the screws for the casing were not, which cau the air filter to come out. The manager, Bryan, was extremely condescending telling me it s not a big deal to drive around without one and they ll order a new one for me immediately and to come in on Tuesday for it. They had a copy of my previous invoice with the names of the people who performed my service, previously, and they said they are no longer with the company.I come in on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, as instructed for the air filter. They then tell me that it was never ordered by the person on Friday (Bryan) and ask me to come back later. After getting heated about this, they went and picked up the correct part at AutoZone, as I waited, so I could get going with the rest of my day.Please train your employees. If there are future complications with my car from not having an air filter for who knows how long, I assume Take 5 is not going to want to take responsibility for their actions. So please make sure they have the necessary training to do their job correctly.

Just noticed they stripped my screw for the cabin air filter. No reason the guy couldn t mange to take it off after 4 minutes. Just gave up and stayed quiet. I know it was him because I m the one who changes it since they always upsell.

I have been to them countless times but this time they thoroughly disappointed me. I have a splash guard under my car that I paid $600 for the reinstall and part in total. When I went to get my oil changed they completely ripped my splash guard off of my car. They did this without permission or me fully understanding what was happening. I could feel them ripping something and I was so confused. They proceeded to tell me I didn t really need the splash guard. I had just had it replaced and it is something I purchased and it protects my engine!! So then they asked me if I wanted them to put it back on with zip ties it was secured before with zip ties so I was like yes put it back on so debris doesn t pull the splash guard completely off. Now whenever I turn right you can hear my splashguard rubbing the side of my front tire. They should have alerted me before doing anything that drastic to my car. Now I will have to take my car back to my mechanic to pay MORE MONEY to get it fixed. I will be going up there again to speak with a manager.

Went there w no problems and as soon as I arrived this man tries to open my hood but doesn t know how. I drive off and my car is beeping every time I accelerate. I go back to see if they can fix the hood. 6 people are trying to figure out how to close the hood because apparently the previous guy did something to mess it up. They don t know how to close it or what the problem is and so they tell me there s nothing they can do because they are not mechanics. I know they are not mechanics but y all broke my hood. I call corporate and the district manager offers no solution and hangs up. I m tired.

I went for an inspection and the people there did their job. What I dislike is your company immediately started spamming me the very next day. I DID NOT GIVE YOU PERMISSION AND YOU SPAM OVER MULTIPLE PLATFORMS!! Not paying $100 for an oil change, either. Your advertising, which makes up for 25% of the cost of the oil change, is idiotic and reflective of how corporate America feels about potential customers.

I visited this location on shepherd today between 1pm and 2pm for a routine oil change and filter replacement. It was all going smoothly until the cabin air filter change when the technician damaged my radio display connectors and refused to take any responsibility for it and found every excuse to blame it on me and in the end Carlos just told me that if I have a problem to see his manager the next day. I m extremely disappointed my family has been using take 5 oil change for over 10 years and sadly i will not be going back. If you are going in stick to an oil change and skip every other service they offer.
