My neighbors recommended T&S to me and I really appreciated their honesty when I took my car in. Other shops wanted to completely replace items without looking. The T&S team took the time to assess it and the issue ended up being minor. I will be bringing our cars back in the future and am happy to have a great business in the neighborhood!

I can't say enough good things about these guys! Great front desk/ customer service, solid work, and you feel that they care about and appreciate your vehicle as if it were there own pride and joy. Stayed solid to their quote and more importantly solved the problem. (If you know about 2000 Era jeep cherokees then you'll appreciate the fact that they tried, much less succeeded beyond my expectations.

I own an hvac business branching out into the Houston area. I was looking for an honest shop to service my fleet vehicles. As a test I unplugged the oil pressure sensor on my new Dodge challenger and dropped it off. The blue haired lady that said she was the new owner told me her head mechanic diagnosed it and the car needed a new head gasket and rod rearing, the quote was $3780.00. Needles to say I found another shop in the area that was trustworthy. I highly recommend you go anywhere other than this garage.

T&S used to be our go to repair shop for a while, a while ago. Friendly and trustworthy they were worth, we thought, the small amount more they charged than other shops. Plus they are very close to our home.BUT, after a failed inspection, we took our second car up there to be diagnosed and repaired. $175 to diagnose, $635 to replace the emission pump and a new gas cap (2008 Dodge Avenger)! After a couple calls, we realized we we re getting the shaft! big time! One nearby shop quoted us $300 and another $200!! All said and done, we had to pay T&S $175 to get our car back, then took it to the shop that quoted us $200 -they actually charged us $175, parts and labor (said we didn t need a new gas cap)!! Nope, won t be back. Our trust has been broken and we were very pleased with the staff, the work, and the convenience of the new place.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Salvador, Marci, Augustus and the whole staff is always knowledgeable, friendly, and provides top-notch customer service. They greet me like an old friend every time I walk in. The mechanics are highly skilled and have been able to quickly diagnose and resolve any issues with my car. The prices are fair and I always feel like I am getting great value for my money. This family-run shop is excellent. I've been a loyal customer for several years. Their service is friendly and fast, and the work is top-notch. I trust these folks fully with all my cars. My dad worked for this family business in the 90s, and they still ask about him to this day when I bring in my car. If you want friendly, expert service in the Oak Foreat area, look no further than T & S.

These guys were recommended by my neighbor when my normal mechanic wasn't available. I was extremely impressed with their honesty and integrity. Tim even went out of his way to call me after hours with recommendations and options regarding my vehicle issues. Took my vehicle in to find out why my car was stalling out,turns out my alternator was needing to be replaced, staff was awesome and fixed my problem, good people, good mechanics, very honest! Horrible. These fools know nothing. Replace items not needed. Even other shops know of their antics. Don't back up work ... haven't a clue. Never ever consider them

Took my Mazda SUV in as my engine light came on a mile back around mid morning. The loss of power and loud backfiring noise sounded Like my cat converter got stolen when I pulled in...They called me within the hour with the diagnosis and with a reasonable quote for a valve gasket cover and a set of spark plugs they got me back on the road before they closed. For fast and reliable service T&S Auto is the place I will going to for my vechicles!

Absolutely wonderful! Reliable service with a friendly family attitude. Even little odd job needs get handled quickly and professionally. I have brought in four different vehicles over the years and they have handled everything from oil changes to body work quickly and at reasonable prices.

I just went in today 9/16/2022 to check on my rear lights, because the went out. Marci, came out, told us what was wrong and fix it in like 2 minutes. And that s not the best part of my experience. Communication at this place is horrible. The owner knew that I had a time schedule that needed to be followed. They promised that my vehicle would be fixed on the day I took it in. IT WASN'T. Then they said it would be fixed the next day by 8:00 am. IT WASN'T, so I had to physically returned to the shop and sit there for over an hour. The shop rep said he couldn't give me an answer because he was not technician working on vehicle. Then some time later, the owner decides to show up and tell me that last night they received the wrong part. They selected to not tell me this when I was at shop while it was closing the day before. This is just another example on the lack of customer service that some companies are providing. Sallie I have been loyal T & S customers for many years - we wouldn't think of taking our cars anywhere else. We trust them for typical maintenance, mechanical problem solving and body work. They are fair and trustworthy and skilled. But the part we like best about working with T&S is that they are so good at explaining a situation or problem to people like us who aren't technical/mechanical and don't know much about cars.It's a family owned business, and you certainly feel like part of their family when you do business with T&S!

Great experience! My car needed a ton of repairs (because I've been a neglectful car owner) and an inspection. Tim was very helpful and super nice! Everything was completed faster than I expected. Everyone I spoke with was knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be returning for future repairs and maintenance.

I can always count on this family owned business to treat me fairly and do a great job with my auto repairs. They even put me In a loaner car while mine was being fixed. They beat the dealer pricing by almost 1/3 of the cost. While I suspect some of the repairs listed by the dealership were questionable, I took my quote to T&S and they worked through what was actually needed to do the job.

The owners are a family. The father is honest to the point that it makes you wonder how they make any money. The reason I started using them in the first place was because I went in to get an estimate and they told me NOT to do the repairs. I spent $0 that day and I've been bringing my car in ever since. They definitely think "long term customer" and not "quick score". Their prices are reasonable and they'll never sell you anything you don't need. They really set themselves to a higher standard, which is very rare in their industry. My advice: get an estimate elsewhere and then take it to them so they can tell you the truth and fix your car carefully and correctly.

T & S diagnosed a problem with my windshield wiper motor. I found that this was covered under my Ford warranty and these fine people did not charge me for about 30 minutes of their time. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them for needs outside of my warranty. Thank you for being so helpful!

W A R N I N G do not trust these people on their word, get all verbal commitments in writing and have them sign any verbal warranty commitment prior to their doing any work on your vehicle especially for expensive major repairs - they will strictly enforce the warranty terms on the back of their paperwork. Owner Salvador had offered me a two year warranty for a rebuilt transmission, he assured me they did the work themselves inside their shop. I was told my vehicle would be ready in a week. Two weeks later it was ready, within 2 days the same transmission problem appeared. Salvador asked for another week to re-repair, it was ready 2 weeks later, again - after driving it for about 2 days the exact same problem occurred again. 2 Weeks later it was ready again. Drove for less than a week and exact same problem appeared again. This time Marci and Salvador wanted me to pay for an entire new rebuilt transmission as warranty had expired. I reminded Salvador had advised me a 2 year warranty would apply, They refused to honor, I spoke with Salvador and he claimed he never mentioned a 2 year warranty and his daughter pointed out the 30 warranty on back of paperwork applies to all their work. They implied used part 30 day warranty was in effect although I paid them over $2,200.00 for the repair. His quote of a 2 year warranty was witnessed by my wife who was present during our conversation

Do not trust them! After going in for a simple inspection, i got suprised with the news that my car had failed for bad brakes. (Confused because my brakes were very good) On the way home i noticed my brake sensor light on the dash was on for the first time since i purchased the car. i then drove to trustworthy shop to have the car reinspected the same day and not only did they pass my car for having good brakes, they took pictures of freshly cut brake sensor wires...

Wouldn't give estimate over phone. So I drove there for them to give me an estimate, they didn't look at the car or anything just asked me make model and what I wanted to fix. Then gave me an estimate. I guess because they just wanted to waste my time. 105$/hr for labor, and 50% up charge on parts I know aren't that expensive. They have too much business it seems to care about getting more.

Took my truck in because of stalling out and the truck just dieing. They diagnosed and told me that some things need to be changed, new parts added (fuel pump, filter, lines) and lines rerouted for the fuel system to function properly. They even suggested that the ground cable on my battery was too small. Even though the engineers at Chevrolet seemed to think it was sufficient which is probably why it was on there. Nevertheless... I approved for them to do the work. $1,000.00 later I drove back home and sure enough the problem was not fixed. Took it to my next door neighbor (retired mechanic) and he changed the stator and the rotor in the distributor for $150.00. Problem solved.One more thing. They charged me for a part they didn't even put on. Thankful I read the receipt beofre driving off.

After moving into the Oak Forrest/ Garden Oaks area, It has been hard for me to find a reliable mechanic. I decided to give T&S Auto a shot, mainly because of how conveniently located it was in regards to my home. I took my car in to get the check engine light diagnosed, and right away they got everything set up and ready to go.What would have been a fantastic experience, turned drastically into the worst experience I have ever had. Upon receiving the car the next day, I was told the steering wheel was making "a funny noise" and to just tap the steering wheel controls to get it to stop. Funny, that has never happened since I've owned the car, but oh well, it's an older car. When I get into the vehicle, the steering wheel was in the lowest position with the seat all the way back. I thought I would just drive it home and readjust the settings... Very wrong. The steering wheel no longer went up at all.I took the car back for them to check out this very new problem, that had only happened once I got the car back into my possession. I was basically told that I was a liar, and that this problem must have already been happening. That it was my fault because, "they can't be responsible for everything." I was even told that, "it broke [here], but it's not our fault."They couldn't even find a solution on how to fix the problem, without having to replace the entire steering column. Needless to say, I will never again go back to this establishment.***Fair warning, apparently they are not responsible for any damages your vehicle may receive while in their possession.***

My car has coilovers (for those that don t know what coilovers are, it s adjustable suspensions) installed and it started making weird noises. I went to many different places to see if I can get this fixed, unfortunately it s either expensive work or they won t work on it because it s aftermarket. T&S took a look at it, fixed it and it was a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
