Came in with an appointment when they opened at 7am. I was greeted by employees who obviously didn't want to be there. They told me to wait at my car and someone would be with me. The individual who came out then proceeded to tell me how understaffed they are. Then tells me they will need my car for at least a week or more to do a diagnostic. God only knows how long the repair would have taken after the week or more of waiting for them to look at the car. I gave them multiple symptoms as well as a code, all of it pointed to the duel clutch on my 2017 Tucson. I was fully prepared to have the repair done as well as the diag. Not only your loss of a major repair job, but a total waste of my time.

My husband and I came here in September 2023 to buy me a car and we had a very good experience with that purchase. We come back to handle the Recalls on my car and they NEVER CALL BACK. I know they are a small dealership but to have all those people there and Noone calls the customers back is crazy. I have been waiting since last month for someone to call me back and they said it would take 3 to 4 days to get the part in to take care of my recall. My safety is my priority so I scheduled with another dealership to handle the Recalls and possibly all my service. I hope they get it together soon.

In my life had a dealt with honest and genuine people. Brought my vehicle for engine recall. The day I brought in my vehicle they were very busy and still managed to assist me in timely manner. They performed the necessary repairs and I am overwhelmed by the kindness and professionalism everyone in Service had with me. Ever grateful for Don and David, the young lady in front desk, Viviana, the mechanics. Truly appreciate y all. Blessings

I just have a service today! 04/10/2024. 2h30 for a simple oil change. I did make the appointment not walk-in. I m very disappointed and wast a lot of time. Will never come back here. Don t come here if you value your time

Not even worth 1 star. Steele s is not a real repair shop. It is barely good enough for basic maintenance provided you can leave your car for the day for a quick oil change.I brought my car for repair and maintenance to Steele Hyundai for the last 8 years. I miss Steven Boyer, Javier Sandova who were honest, and reliable advisors. I encourage potential clients to read all the one-star reviews before leaving your car at Steele s because these one star reviews really describe your upcoming experience at Steele s.First, this service is not able to take care of your car in a reasonable amount of time. Your car will remain parked outside at least 2 weeks before a mechanic can look at it. The advisors will not let you know this major piece of information ahead of time. I knew they were having issues because they could not do an oil change in less than 2 hours.Second, the advisors choose to ignore you. Nobody will call you back, text or email. Nobody answers the phone. Do not believe these copy/pasted replies to the one-star reviews because Craig Murrel will not give you an update. Btw, the whomever is copy/pasting these Craig Murrel Cares replies should not bother adding a reply to my comments.Third, if you go in person to get some answers, the advisors are mentally not able to provide an estimate for when your car will be seen by a mechanic. How hard can it be? In my case, I just wanted to get an estimate of the date at which my car will be reviewed by a mechanic so that I can make an informed decision on whether I should leave my car at Steele s or not. My car had been at Steele s for 4 days and the assigned advisor did not communicate this information and did not text me back or call me back or emailed me back in 4 days. To this day I still do not know his name. On site, the most intriguing part was that the little white caveman-looking guy who was apparently the advisor assigned to my car would even not speak to me. Dillon Wesley helped me by telling me a lie - your car is being looked at right now and you should get a quote by the end of the day so that I would leave. The sad part is that I saw my car parked outside when I walked in. So I asked Dillon what kind of details I would get in my quote. The poor thing looked like a deer in the headlights.Anyhow, I took my car elsewhere.

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. We have dealt with this "business" since Oct. 2nd for a simple tire fix and o2 censor. After a month of nonsense, they finally "fixed" the o2 center. I left their lot and went to run one errand. When I returned, my car would not turn on. We called them, and they said they would tow the car to the dealership. They did not. They left me at seven months pregnant, stranded in a parking lot. We towed my car to AutoZone, and they said the battery was not the issue. The team believes Steele South Loop messed up the wiring. Since I returned from vacation, I have been without a car. I need to go to two doctor's appointments and work this week. The whole thing has been UNBELIEVABLY stressful. I could never imagine that they would completely break my car after a month of stress. I would NEVER recommend it this place. Thus, after all of the stress to me and my baby, my car does not run and is 100% worse than it was when we made our original appointment in Sep.

Suddenly got a severe vibration on my Ioniq 5 with 5000 miles. Took it in to Steele to have it checked out. They said that the front tires had bent rims and needed to be replaced and install new tires at $2000. I then took it to Discount tire and the rims aren't bent, one tire couldn't be balanced out and they replaced it under the Michelin warranty. Vibration is gone.

Associates are courteous and the mechanics work to repair the vehicle efficiently and safely. Unfortunately the request made to check two concerns I had ($167.50 diagnosis fee - waived if repairs are made) cost over 1K (window switch sticks and a loose side mirror - both have to be completely replaced!). A concern (brakes) discovered during the multi-point inspection is being taken care of today. Will provide feedback (and will increase rating if all is well) on how that repair turned out after driving a bit.

Went to have my battery replaced and was told to pick it up at 6:30, when I get there everything is closed and everyone is gone. Finally I found someone kind enough to help me that worked on the dealership side and they were able to assist me and another lady that was left stranded without her car but I was literally about to have to Uber back home. I would ve come earlier if they told me they were closing early.

This place isn t good at all. I brought my car in for fuel pump replacement that was covered through warranty. I left it early in the morning, when I got there no one knew about my service. They had my car 3 days before I got a call back. I called them, they played phone tag with me. So I went up there on day 4 after I had called them multiple times with no answer. When I got there I expected a long at the front service desk, nope it was empty. They are deliberately not picking up the phones. So of course I was upset, where is my car and what is the status. Come to find out they haven t even looked or touched my car after the service tech told me once I drop it off, give him 2 days to fix it. It was day 4 and they didn t even look at it. This isn t some shoes or clothes, this is my car. We all need our cars, you would think they would handle this with care

Please read carefully, this review is proof that Hyundai disregards your life!I brought my vehicle to South Steele Hyundai Service upon the Hyundai Class Action Settlement notice. For my vehicle, there was a notice saying "Oil leakage in the engine compartment could lead to a possible fire disaster - recall".Nicholas took care of my vehicle. My vehicle had a lot of oil leaks. There were knocking noises coming from the engine, the engine light was on, after 15 minutes of use, dense smoke was coming from the engine compartment of my vehicle, and there was visible oil loss in my vehicle. It was losing 1 to 1.25 quarts of oil for every 900-1200 miles.My engine had to be changed according to the notification, because otherwise there could be an oil leak in the engine that could cause a fire.But the Hyundai service refused to change my engine, and on top of that, they gave me a price list for engine oil leaks, AS IF THEY HAD NO SHAME. This means that when you are going to buy a Hyundai, think 5 times and then read this message again. I am not at all satisfied with this service, you have literally made fun of me by calling me to you. Disgrace.

Car had an issue where the oil was being consumed.... This is known by Hyundai, and a class action event is ongoing for certain Hyundai cars.. Since I bought my car used and I did not have the maintenance history records, Hyundai chose not to support this repair action for my vehicle. I feel that Hyundai should have done the right thing and repaired my engine since it is a known defect with their product... Hyundai chose to decline my request to repair my vehicle... I feel cheated by Hyundai, and I will not purchase a vehicle in the future and I would advise others to do your homework regarding this product....

mark alas is very un professional I was asking him questions regarding my Mom car that s in the shop. He told me I already told your mom what s going on and I will call her when her car is ready and hung up the phone in a customers face I m not understanding. Why would he have such an angry attitude with a valid customer that s having work done at the shop I will really appreciate if a manager Craig, or anyone else can give me a call regarding this matter. This was very unprofessional on Mark s behalf, and I feel bad for even letting her car getting serviced there.. also he said you gone let me talk then that s when he hung up poor service I would like to speak to someone higher up not expectable !!

During an oil change, I asked them to check out a rattle, thinking that the shocks were loose. I was told they needed to be completely replaced. Took it to another mechanic, who could have also took my money, and they said that they were just loose and otherwise just fine. Hyundai wanted to charge me over $1,000 to replace perfectly fine shocks that needed tightening. Not only did they lose that $1,000 opportunity, they lost any future business, including the $40,000 we were going to spend on a car there next month. I usually do not write reviews. And there are times when we all have bad days. However, in this case it is imperative that a potential customer of Steele South Loop (previously called Sterling McCall Hyundai South Loop) know what they can possibly be in for. Dealerships have a bad rep for a reason and this time they lived up to it.I had been having issues with my Hyundai. Had to call the wrecker three times in a two month span. I had got my Hyundai serviced elsewhere, but issues forced me to have to finally take it to the dealer to get checked out. As soon as I informed Dillion Wesley of my issues he downplayed it like I haven't been driving my vehicle all its life! How are going to tell me what is not wrong with my vehicle, when I'm telling you what is????!!!!! He had a bad attitude from the jump, which turned me sour with him from the beginning. He acted like he didn't want to help and was just there to take my money.After I got the service performed (after some unnecessary repairs were suggested which was not the reason I was there in the first place), he attitude stayed on stink. I even had an issue getting proper paperwork, which I finally received. The only bright spot was Craig (the service manager). He saved the day after seeing my issues with Dillion. Please do yourself a favor. If you have to go to this location skip dealing with DILLON WESLEY!!!! You have been warned!Service: Brake service & repair

Sept 2022- Mr Dillion Wesley - worst service agent. Loads of attitude, and adds items to be changed to your bill that are really not required.needs to be removed from his job. He will do us a favor nit working here!Dec 2022- Mr Don/ Dan Murrell, - pathetic customer service.This service center clearly Follows exclusion policy and follow biased attitude to certain groups of people! ( you will know as soon as you enter) . Americans, Asian and international customers are asked to wait for longer periods of time for servicing there car . Happened to me twice and to my friend once ; inspite of arriving eArlier or on time than scheduled time. They failed to keep eta post service - even during free oil changes period. Very Very Rude condensing staff abb and pick fights with customers. - Don Murell ( relative of Craig Murell- service manager )They Hire family siblings to cover each other falsies and take fat paychecks home for doing no work! Craig Murell is smoking inside the building in waiting area / coffee tv area which is not allowed. He picks it from His jacket pocket ever so often to smoke. The service manager is never overseeing his staff and always steps out for long breaks - smoke or coffee or personal phone calls! I have tried to talk to him twice so far while waiting but disappears during office hours! . Useless staff. They need a general manager ( not here currently) to oversee the staff and establish business etiquette. Sterling mccall was lot better and kept up to ETA s , honest billing and excellent customer service. What are you doing Jesse Valdez In this office, if you can t notice these ongoing issues since more than a yr expressed from many customers here ! We ve bought 5 cars from this dealership and we ve always felt taken care of from sales to car services but I know recently changed in management has made made me feel that that service is not the same. For instance, when calling service dept nobody answers, called different phones and only sales answered. Also they don t offer Lyft services for rides home to leave car anymore.So ridiculous that they take a long time and don t offer rides home so if this is your only way of transportation be ready to wait here hours. Takes 2 weeks to get an appointment and even if you come early 730am, it will be longer than 3 hours

2 year customer and they have officially lost my trust. Disregarded my request for a specific service AFTER verifying whether I "meant" to choose it or not. YES, I meant to choose it! I normally schedule in the mornings but this day I scheduled for 2pm, so I guess they're lazy after a certain hour and don't care. They DID NOT rotate my tires or check the air pressure! Probably didn't top off my fluids. Oh, but they washed my car with no vacuum. If I didn't live so far, I'd go back and tell them off. Ridiculous

The website and appointment booked listed here are NOT for this location. They are not Sterling McCall anymore. The phone number on here also is out of service. So if you click on the website and call service number there you may think you re making an appt at this location but it s actually for the beltway Sterling McCall that is 20 mins away.

Worst service I have ever received. Did not fix what I specifically requested which is a KNOWN ISSUE but for $165 told me all the other things they recommended I fix. Then they said they would need me to come back three times to effectively measure oil loss. No thanks. Once is enough.

What can I say, it is awesome when you can go to a dealership and get a ride home and then get a ride back to pick up your car. Dillon was efficient and professional. They gave me a really good price on the repairs. They also do a light washing of the outside of your car which my needed due to the pollen that's been in the air. I've had my Hyundai Sonata since 2014 and it has been a very good car.

I went to go pick my plates up for my truck. The guy that helped me was super nice. He never offered to have my plates put on. Maybe they don't do that down here in Texas? Well that's a lie because Hyundai in Humble automatically put plates on my husband's vehicle no questions asked. I guess it's a difference between dealerships in Texas. Thanks anyway!

First time taking vehicle for service to Steele. One of the smaller Hyundai dealers, but that has it's advantage. Oil change and rotate/balance tires. Joshua was my service advisor. Very professional and helpful. Entire staff that I interacted with were great.
