Waited 6 months for him to fix an overheating issue. He let my truck sit out under a tree for 3 months before he even started working on it. He didn't even test drive the vehicle to check for any leaks. On the drive home it overheated on me again. Charged me 575.00 labor plus parts to change a hose, tensioner pulley and idler pulleys . I regret using this mechanic. A lack of communication and due diligence on his part. Very disappointing for somebody that came so highly recommended.

Great mechanic in charge. Makes certain your vehicle is exactly the way you want to drive it. My boyfriend has been jacked around for 5 months elsewhere, took it to S&S, and 10 days later, his truck runs exactly as it should. So get your money's worth, and get it done right the FIRST time! Go see Alan, and rest easy, he knows his business!

I took my 1969 GTO in for a simple tune-up and finally got it back almost a year later with it catching on fire two weeks of having it back. Not only did Allen charge a large sum of money for his simple work but he would always have excuses as to why the car was not ready. As time passed which were in intervals of 3 to 6 months he would let me know the car was ready but it would either breakdown on the way home and have to get towed back or last several weeks and breakdown again. Finally this past week it actually made it all the way home. As I cranked it up and drove it around the neighborhood I soon noticed smoke coming from under my hood and into the car from thr firewall. I immediately jumped out and lifted the hood to see the wiring that Allen had worked on was on fire. Thank god I had a couple of water bottles to put it out. He never offered to bring it back to fix the issue which adds to his poor customer service.Long story short I paid several thousand dollars to get a car back into my full possession only for it to breakdown on the road with an electrical fire. Allen also kept my car outside in the open with no regard to protecting it from the elements. My car was filthy and had formed rust bubbles due to his negligence.

S&S repair is an excellent place recommended it to anyone who has a carburated vehicle. He has done me a huge favor of storing my 1966 C-10 stepside pick-up and has allowed me installments . He had to clean the carburetor, run me new gas and brake lines and a few other repairs to get my girl going and it was not an outrageous price. Allen knows his stuff but that's about it. He's a lot of talk had my car for over four months to install an electric choke. Could never reach him. My car was running when I dropped it off. Two months later it's not and could not get a straight forward answer from anybody. It took another couple months to get my car back and it was dirty and never received an actual quote for my car even though I asked for one numerous times. They charge outrageous prices and keep your car for long periods of time. I would avoid this place at all cost

The owner, Allen Bills, really knows his stuff. He's done performance work and tuning all over has worked on several race cars since the 80s. He completely restored and rebuilt my vintage Chevrolet's carburetor and tuned it for the ethanol that's in our fuel today. He also advised me of the adjustments I would need to make once I had switched the engine's ignition over to HEI.However my project was a simple rebuild off the vehicle and did not involve me leaving it with him. I know a few other people that left their vehicle and ended up with one of those nightmares of long spans of time with seemingly little work done and large amounts of money being required. In the end they were happy with the results but would not recommend him. So proceed with caution and perhaps line out terms more contractually with him.

Thank you Allen and your great staff for getting my 1968 Chevy truck back to spec s. I want to really thank you for pointing out that the previous HEI had a damaged distributor and yoke which was installed by my previous and obviously careless mechanic. Also a great job on rebuilding my Quadra jet carburetor. Everything runs phenomenally well now and people are amazed at how well it performs. It feels like a modern truck now. Price was great too. Thanks for being so honest!

Allen Bills has is a very professional & extreamly maticulous mechanic that I know. His knowledge one Newer vehicles as well as Classic Hot Rods is, in my opinion, is the best in town.S&S Truck & transmission has been the place that everyone in our Classic car club have take their cars for generations because of the knowledge & experience that they trust from Allen Bills& employees.

Allen appears to be very knowledgeable. We left our 1984 Monte Carlo for him to work on, took a little longer then I care for to get it back but I felt it was worth the wait. The car seem to be running immaculate. However it stalled on us 2 weeks later. Had to get it back to him to see what the issue was. It took forever to get a hold of him on the phone to even talk about getting it back to the shop. And he has now had it for over a week and will njot answer nor return my phone calls. I have left messages with a female that has answered as well as voicemail messages. They never return my calls. I'm not sure if they are just extremely busy but even then I don't feel that is an excuse to ignore your customers. It is VERY sad because as I stated he seems to be very knowledgeable and it so hard to find someone to work on an older car. I don't know if I am doing myself more harm then good by leaving this review because I still haven't gotten my car back. I have called atleast 10 times today and only one of my phone calls got answered by the female and again, I asked if i could pick up my car and she stated that she didn't know. She had to check with Allen and get back to me. I'm hoping and praying they are dinged when a review is left and realize that you shouldn't treat paying customers this way. Even a courtesy call to say it's not ready, or we haven't looked at it yet. Is that too much to ask?

I had a few carburetors done there, Allen (the owner) is one of those few old school guys left that really know their stuff. What he builds or fixes, stays fixed. The only problem is the screwed up supply chain this place suffers from, along with a hundred other shops including my own, which means everything takes a lot more time to do because they're having problems getting parts. But that's not their fault, blame Biden for that one

Mr Bill an His crew are the Greatest They not only stored Big Bertha, He took care of her for 4 yrs!!! 4 yrs!! While I was getting my mind n self together He Never sold her or treated her bad!!!No Garage does This!!I Am So Grateful to Mr Bill and his Integrity

They are the best mechanic... i dont like write comments but I would recommend him to my friends..... he found the problems that my truck had. It keep shutting off and i had 7 mechanic before him take a look at it ...they couldn't find the problem to my truck until i took it to him. He fix it right away....Thank you Allen

Mr. Bills got my 1050 Dominator setup for Q16 for my drag truck and it runs flawlessly. Very knowledgeable and knows the tunes very well. Very helpful if you have any questions.

I want to say thank you to Mr Allen. I took my 72 nova to him because I was having trouble with the efi and i wanted to back to a carburetor. He replaced the carburetor and fixed multiple problems that I was having that I didn't even tell him about now it runs absolutely perfect.

Allen stayed 2+ hours after his shop closed to help us get a dominator dialed in and tuned properly. Nobody else would have done that.
