We are in the car business, and each and every time one of my other mechanics run into a complicated issue, cant figure it out or stumped, I go to Rays for an answer and or solution. And for almost all my electrical needs also. Thank you Ruben and all that work there. Efficient, dependable and fair priced.

Showed up 30 minutes before they opened and Jose approached me asked how he could help. They diagnosed my issue within the hour and had me on my way. They listen, advise and perform. Highest level of service. Will be back.

Was dealing with a drain on my battery for the better part of a year. Quick and easy service, they give you affordable options if you're not willing to buy brand new parts. Trustworthy place, highly recommend.

I happy with the work that Ray did on my truck. It only taken one day to fix it. I was so happy that the problem wasn't major. And, They price was fair. I looking forward for them to do my shocks next. After, I save my money.

Ray's Electric is the BEST!! This wasn't my first time taking my vehicle to Ray's, and again, they didn't disappoint. The issue was found and fixed the same day. The service is great, the staff is great, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone needing help with their electrical system. Thanks for all y'all do guys!!

I took my 76 Eldorado to these guys with multiple electrical problems. When I called the first time and asked for Chris he said he was backed up about 3 weeks. I waited and called back and he got me in. It was WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!! These guys fixed EVERYTHING that I requested in a very timely manner and their work and attention to detail was AMAZING. Chris is hands down my new best friend.

This is a excellent car shop! Completely satisfied with thier service. I went to get the electrical power steering checked since it went out. They found out what was wrong very fast and fixed it. My car was ready the next day. They are very sincere, other shops would probably tell me to replace the whole rack and pinion. Affordable, fast, and great service. They know their stuff. I definitely recommend this shop!

So I came here because of the reviews and hoped my experience would be better than using a mobile or side job mechanic. The price they charged me to clean a filter in the glove department and change a blower switch was outrageous. They only fixed one of the issues I had came in for and not all the way. When I try to call back they don't answer. Odd enough when i was there someone they had done a repair for said the same thing. Should have been a red flag. My car was over heading which obviously would be more concerning and of course I get treated like a mind less woman and told "it didn't over heat for me". Well I talked to someone else who didn't let my reproductive organs get in the way and saw that my 2 fans on the radiator needed repaid. He said if the technician had simply opened the hood he would have noticed. No I have to find to find someone else to fix the AC which is what I originally came for and was only half fix causing my condenser fan to go. Shame on you!

Don't bother with this shop because their techs are lazy and sloppy by not putting things back the way it came to them.9/21/23 I brought my 2007 Silverado Classic in to have AC Clutch wire verified not shorted. They verified it and just the clutch coil was bad. They wanted to replace the compressor as they didn't just have the coil, to go from $125 to $600-$700 in repair, I turned it down and paid for just the diagnostic.The truck came there with the clutch wire harness having convoluted tubing and placed where it was not touching anything hot, and the connector plugged into the coil so it's not exposed to the air for corrosion. When I received the truck back the same day I found that the clutch wire was exposed with no convoluted tubing and wrapped around a steering rack hard line that gets hot which can melt the wire. The connector was exposed to open air which can get corroded, not plugged back into the coil (the fuse can be left out to prevent trouble)I paid your shop to do a troubleshoot of the ac clutch circuit, not for your tech to not put things back the way it came to you because I turned the repair down!1 Star for Your Lazy Technician and a NON Recommendation of Your Service!

I ve unfortunately had to take my Jeep here a few times in the past few months but every time, Ruben and his guys have always been very transparent and up front about everything and I ve never felt like I was being jerked around. Ruben even went as far as to call around to find a part I *might* need in the future now that s great customer service. I d definitely recommend this shop!Service: General repairs & maintenance

That Guy Ernesto is a true technician the guy is a beast took my car to 5 different shops they did not wanted to mess with it Not only was the price for the repair more than fair but did the repair that other shops refused to touch very courteous friendly service from now on I only want them to touch my vehicles its a great shop with true mechanical and electrical techs I highly recommend people to not get ripped off and go to these guys for automotive repairs I am not afraid to say they are more knowledgeable than your dealer. Ray's Auto Electric is the best. Was having issues with the electronic windows closing on my CRV. They were able to diagnose and replace the the broken switch in the door. Also they found that the door speakers were dried and cracked after 12 years and replaced those speakers also all at a very reasonable price. They are my go to repair shop. Hope everyone is able to experience the great service I have had.Service: Electrical repair

I had a great experience with Ray's Auto Electric, Chris was able to diagnose a very difficult fault on my Acura RDX which was causing the transmission to intermittently fail. Was something the transmission specialist was unable to resolve despite their best efforts. Appreciated the tenacity and expertise of Chris & his team to resolve the issue.Service: Electrical

I brought my 2012 Dodge Caravan to Ray's in March. They had my van for almost 6 weeks, I picked it up twice during that time only to find out within minutes that the original problems were still there. It was very difficult to get in touch with the mechanic, Chris (I must have called over 30 times). When I did occasionally speak to him he kept telling me that he was fixing it. Finally he said he drove the van home a few times and everything was fixed - it wasn't. Why it took 6 weeks I have no idea. They originally charged me $620 but after realizing they hadn't fixed the problem refunded me about $560. I will not ever use their services. I did spend a few hours the next weekend researching the problem and ended up fixing both problems myself.Service: Electrical repair

Best service I ve ever received from a repair shop. Chris and Alex were able to repair my 2011 Chevrolet Volt when no-one else in town were willing to even look at it. They also repaired a strange gauge cluster and fuel issue with my 2002 Tahoe. Thank y all so much!

Excellent service by Ray s Auto Electric, I had a very complex electrical issue with a Lexus GX460. They figured it out and repaired the vehicle for me, I couldn t be any happier by there work and customer service, I highly recommend them!

I first went to Ray's a couple years back when Firestone misdiagnosed my 2002 Chevy Blazer problem and cost me about a thousand dollars, which I had to contact their corporate offices to eventually get back. Ray's guys diagnosed a faulty fuel pump in like 30 seconds, and they have been my mechanics ever since. Always reasonably priced, always total honesty, always in and out in the smallest amount of time. Refreshing to find decent, honest mechanics in this day and age.

Chris is like the uncle many of us had, this man could probably fix anything. Chris is extremely meticulous and could turn customers away. He re-wired much of my old Chevy (50+ years old) and also fixed a late model Ferrari in his shop. Be patient, don t rush him. Extremely nice guy and reasonable rates. I've been using Ray's Auto Electric for many, many years now. They are honest, do good work, and charge reasonable prices. If you're on a tight budget, they'll tell you what order things need to be done in, so that you're safe on the road, but your wallet is okay, too. Don't be fooled by this little shop, hidden away in an industrial complex. These guys know their stuff!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

After 2 mechanics and the dealer couldn t figure out why my 2005 does mustang was in fail safe mode, I took it to ray s where they spent about 4 hours with the car and solved my problem.They re the best. Hands down.Service: Electrical repair

I am very pleased with the work Ray s Auto Electric (and particularly Chris Newhouse) performed on my classic car. He replaced the fried starting motor and installed a new alternator, among other work. I have been to Ray's Auto Electric several times for various issues. Each time they have exceeded my expectations. Chris and Allen are both excellent mechanics. They do good work and explain the repair to my satisfaction. I have had them repair an electrical problem in my car, replace the gas tank, inspect/repair my entire brake system and most recently had the generator in my car seize up. In all cases the work was done in a timely manor, the work explained and they were thorough. I am a cynical person so there are not many people I trust, but I trust these guys with my car. The last couple of times I have used them I told them what I need and told them to fix whatever else they find. I trust them that much. They did the work and repaired/adjusted related items without going nuts. I hope I never need a mechanic but should the need come up, I will definitely be going back to Ray's.

Took my husband car to Ray s with slight doubts of getting the AC . Initially we took the car to Auto Nation Ford on Gulf Freeway , the car was there for 3 months and nothing was done we were getting the run around almost every other day about the car . The mechanics had to reach out to their engineers in another state to assist with the AC . After 3 months of the run around we decided to take the car from Ford and bring it to Ray s. My husband own a Ford Taurus Police Car and I can honestly say the guys at Ray s got the job DONE everything Ford told us was WRONG. From here on out I will never trust another dealership they charge you outrageous prices for NOTHING . Thanks to the guys at Ray s for all the help. Nice helpful guys that knows their job !

Very honest and very friendly service. We brought our old timer Dodge Ram van in late afternoon and they took it in first thing next morning with great understanding that we were on the road.We was taken care of by Chris and Jos� and I'm pretty sure we couldn't have gotten better service in all of Houston.Thank you Ray's Auto Electric

These guys are great. Unfortunately my issue wasn t an easy fix,but at least know I know what my problem was. They are knowledgeable and WILL find the problem.
