I searched for months on who I should use for my forged engine build for my M5comp. I talked with numerous people and from all the positive reviews I went with TJ at Pure Performance. I contacted him about my goals and he was very professional and knowledgeable. I'm very picky on who works on my car and I felt comfortable leaving my car with them. I sent my car over and within a week it was done. Exceeded my expectations! I came to pick up my car and it was staged nicely all washed and ready to pick up. The shop is very clean and his techs are top notch.You won't regret coming here for all your engine build needs. Best engine builder in the country PERIOD!

5 stars just isn't enough. TJ made sure every step of the process went smoothly, from arranging FL -> TX enclosed transport to checking in multiple times after I'd picked up the vehicle to ensure everything was perfect. Extremely reasonable pricing for a forged S63TU build, three week turnaround time was nothing short of incredible. Pure Performance is the best in the game. @apexm5

This place was recommended to me from a good friend of mine after my M6 engine with 129k seized. After talking with the owner for a couple weeks getting answers to my questions and a run through for the process, I sent my car over to this shop to get fixed up. He arranged for my car to get trailered and kept me updated during the whole process. He let me know when it arrived, when they started, and when they finished. My car is back up and running and better than ever. Basically starting off with a brand new engine that ll last me another long run. Thanks to the owner and the team for getting my car back on the road. Highly recommended!!!!

This is the second time my car went to Pure. This time for a minor correction and some upgraded Cams. Over 20K Miles on the build since TJ originally did it two years ago and it has been solid. I daily the car and drive it hard. TJ and the team at pure have been great to work with and I appreciate the support with the build! Great experience with Pure performance. They got me in right away and went above and beyond. I had gotten quotes else where who wanted 2x what I paid at pure.TJ was very professional and answered all my questions going beyond the work scope to make sure I was getting top performance out of my car.TJ back up all of his work and I will continue to use Pure Performance for any projects going forward. My car is running better than it ever has!

TJ has great communication. I have had my fully forged M6 motor for a few months now, and it runs perfect. I was referred to Pure from a friend who had beaten on his car for over 40k miles and had 0 issues.It s one thing to have a quality product, but when turn around time, and communication are a 10/10 as well, well you can t go wrong.PS: I ve heard of other people having TJ ship their car and build the motor and return it home before the other guys can reply to the customers 1st inquiry email. Let that sink in

Found TJ s shop online in a bmw forum and decided to pull the trigger on a full motor rebuild with them for my 2015 M6. They took great care of everything as i shipped my car from Las Vegas to Texas. Excellent work, great communication and now my car is happy.

So this post has been a long time coming, back in June I had blown my motor due to a e30 tune testing that didn t end well. I was stuck with a knocking motor and had no idea where to even begin, I had heard a lot of things about Pure Perfomance in Texas, so I decided to hit up TJ Obeid. Before hitting up TJ, I had contacted local engine rebuilders, bmw specific etc. No one, and I mean no one gave me the explaination and breakdown like TJ did, I gave him a call, explained to him what happened, he fully broke it down piece by piece of what would happen next, including shipping my car out to Texas, the full cost as well as a detailed explaination of what possibly went wrong with my motor without even looking at it. From there I decided to send my car out to him for him to work his magic. He set up a full transportation for me with no hassle. My car eventually got to TJ after a few days, once it got there he pulled out the motor in under 8 hours, 4 bent rods and a few damaged pistons, and under 4 weeks the car was repaired and back running. He rebuilt the motor, this time around forged. Meanwhile keeping me updated throughout the entire process and anytime you have any questions he s there to answer it. No matter what question or issue he was there to answer and help out. He got my car fixed and back running. Don t waste your time, you got an m5 that has issues, it s blown, or you simply want to prevent any future headaches, send your car out to Pure Perfomance in Texas to get the best and right treatment all at an amazing price.Service: Engine repair

TJ built a pretty solid beast F10 M5 for me. As miles were going up my main concern was reliability on a built s63 but so far the car has been running great and very strong. Already made it through 15+ passes without a single issue.Definitely having pureperformance rebuild the s63 on my E70 X5M next. I blew my BMW F90 M5 motor back in August of 2022 (bent the rods) and was immediately recommended Pure Performance as a repair shop from my tuner. From the get-go Pure was transparent with what needed to be done and were always quick to answer any questions I had. The repair process itself was very fast too, only took about a week or two to rebuild and ship back to me. I went with the full Stage 3 build and my motor is a brick house of power ever since. No issues with the motor at all - and Pure has been amazing at checking in and asking how it s doing, and if I need anything else in the future. Rebuilt my 2012 X6M engine for me, price was right and so was the service and workmanship. Pure performance took care of everything I needed which included shipping to them since I live in Louisiana. TJ never asked for one quarter till the job was done. I picked up the car with no issues and drove back home, around 500 miles on new engine without issues. TJ recommends oil change at 500 miles, what j wants, TJ gets, he's awesome guy and will answer any and all questions. I highly recommend Pure Performance for any engine rebuild, his shop is packed with high end cars. TY TJ

When I chose Pure Performance I was convinced by all the success stories I ve read. The fact that TJ sent me updates without me asking speaks volumes when it comes to customer service. I have a 2013 BMW M5, 101,000 miles. Started hearing a knocking noise while accelerating and the operating temps were up. Parked it and had it sent to a dealers where they said $42,000 for a new motor or 24,000 fir a used one.Did my research and found TJ and Pure Perfomance in Houston, TX. I called him and told him what was going on. Just from my description, he told me what was going on and that I needed my engine rebuilt.I put my trust in him. He arranged shipping from Phoenix, AZ to Houston. When he received the car there were couple ahead of me and he said mine was next up.From the time my car went up on the lift to running again it was a little over a week. I had spun 4 rods and had 2 turbos filled with oil.When he called and said the car was ready, I flew down, met TJ for the 1st time, he is a very knowledgeable person.I drove home in this car from Houston to Phoenix and it ran like brand new. I had a stock OEM rebuild and experienced no issues. Trust TJ and Pure Performance, I did and do not regret it.Service: Engine repair

Can't recommend TJ and Pure Performance enough. After months of research, I decided to use his shop to perform a forged engine rebuild on my F10 M5. TJ was super communicative and kept me up to speed on everything. We ended up doing much more than just the engine as the car also needed some minor paint repair to which TJ farmed out to a local but reputable paint shop. While there, TJ thought the paint shop may caused a scratch on one of the fenders and wanted to confirm with me before accusing them. Well the scratch was there from some years back. A true testament to him and his shop to provide great customer service. Car has been great since getting it back.. 5 stars

Was on the fence about sending my car to Texas from Jersey for a motor build for my M5. Seen a bunch of mixed reviews, but knew someone that had dealt with TJ previously. I had a bunch of conversations with TJ before I sent it and he kept me in the loop during the entire process. They ended up taking care of a bunch of other maintenance (brakes, rotors, motor mounts and clutch change) during the visit.Only thing I would change, is the way I sent the car. I would send it on a closed trailer without so many people transferring the vehicle.After I received the car back from TJ, he has kept in contact with any questions and recommendations. I would highly recommend his shop if you re looking for service for your car.

Pure Performance did a full collision rebuild for my M6. Engine rebuild, body work and tuning. They did an amazing job. Absolutely worth shipping it from NY to TX for the job. Great communication and they are able to achieve whatever you are hoping to have done. What is typically a stressful experience actually became pretty fun with all the possibilities. Having my f90 to taken to multiple shops for previous work no one was able to give me the treatment and time to explain the issue and repair it like the guys at PURE Performance. After my car would experience random Missfire TJ took the time to properly diagnose the car when all the other shops wanted to just throw random parts at it and hope it would fix it. I was getting bills from 11-15k USD for repairs. After talking with TJ and leaving the car with him for a couple of days. The repair ended up costing me less than 100$. A shop that installed my downpipes left a ground lose . Any other shop probably would have charged me for a new harness or computer . TJ and guys at Pure performance are the best there is !

Quit thinking about taking your M5 to Pure Performance, and JUST DO IT! NOW!I had oil consumption issues and light smoking from exhaust at idle in my 2013 M5, 54kmi. I reached out to TJ and he quickly arranged to have my vehicle transported to him for diagnostics. As we expected my valve stem seals had obvious leakage. TJ said he could get it fixed in no time. He mentioned that it's probable that the piston oil rings could be worn as well, and that I should look into that in the future. I asked him about rebuild options which would repair both issues. He gave me a few options, well I decided to go with the stage 3 forged internal option while he already had it in shop. During the rebuild TJ and his staff kept me updated with messages and pictures as they hit milestones, which was very comforting and appreciated. Car was completed and delivered back to me for breaking period. I had a few questions when breaking in the rebuilt motor and TJ made himself available after hours to address any crazy concerns I came up with haha. Don't expect an update or response immediately, TJ and his team are busy helping other M5 owners as well. The pure performance team fixed my issues, did exactly what they said they would for the price they quoted. Their experience with this s63tu is obvious and helped me get my M to the next stage of enjoyment. Pure Performance did the overhaul on my E70 X5M a couple of months ago. The engine had siezed a couple of rod bearings - now I know that they should be replaced before failing. I had the car shipped down from Massachusetts and TJ arranged for it all. The price be quoted me for shipping, the overhaul, and installation in the car was very fair - certainly less than any shop here in the Northeast.I knew there were cars in the queue ahead of me, but TJ was patient with my impatientce. After the teardown we found a few issues that were unexpected - both turbos were badly damaged and a front axle was shot. I was expecting these to cost a fortune, but he sourced overheated turbos and an OEM axle that were very reasonable.I flew to Houston and drove the car home. I took the scenic route (via St. Louis) and the car ran great all the way. At this point I have about 4K miles on the car and the engine is running great. Overall I'm very happy with the whole project.

I ve been to many shops from New Jersey to Philadelphia to Florida. And I have to say hands down TJ and Pure Performance is thee best of the best. He knew exactly what I wanted and delivered exactly what I wanted. The turn around time was fast, and he explained in detail everything that he was doing, and everything that was done with all my questions answered thoroughly. I highly recommend TJ and Pure Performance no matter what State I will be using TJ and Pure Performance.

I have to give props to Pure Preformance if you have "that day come where you need work on your engine. They took care of me, TJ gave me great advice and provided direction. He rebuilt my engine, did upgrade and tested all within 2 weeks.Thank you TJ

I have been going to my usual mechanic since i got my 1st car, but he was charging me way more than usual. So i decided to look around, did a quick research and found Pure Performance. Talked to TJ he was great and honest about the questions i had. TJ gave me a way better deal than my usual mechanic ever did, and TJ knows his stuff took good care of my BMW M3 and did the job in 2 days as well as kept me updated on everything. i highly recommend pure performance and TJ for your mechanic or after performance needs. also he does wraps for great deals. if you end up going to Pure Performance please tell TJ and his staff Juan send you...

Most positive (and awesome) experience I have ever had with my bmw and a shop.I met Tj through Facebook and after me being indecisive for months about what to do with my car. We spoke over the phone and he took his time explaining what would be done step by step and pricing etc. Tj assured me and informed me every step of the way with the progress of the car and the stock rebuild on the M5. He arranged for pickup/drop off to and from Ma for me as well (great pricing!) I went down there and drove the car around for 2 days and he gave me a tour of his shop and the project gamma factory and was genuinely very hospitable to me for having flown half way across the country. Tj has followed up with me every week following break in procedures since the car came home to me. I never bugged Tj for progress (or had to!). The turn around time on my car was right around 2 weeks (even with him ordering additional parts I then asked for since the job was so quick,clean, and aggressively priced). I am very very happy with the outcome of the build and my decision to trust Tj with doing what he knows best. Every single little issue the car had before (it was a nightmare) was solved for half the price I was quoted in my state. I drive the car every single day in sport+ mode now and it is such an amazing feeling knowing the car will not let me down. TJ is a true asset to the bmw community. Tj went above and beyond and even made certain repairs for free that were done incorrectly/ failing hardware. I urge anyone on the fence to give tj @ Pure Performance a call!

We sent TJ our N63B engine in January of 23. The first engine we received back was in the same condition it was when we sent it to TJ. It still has cylinder wall scoring, spun bearings and bent valves. TJ assured us he would take care of it. Fast forward to the present (9/20/23) and TJ has stopped returning our phone calls, text and email. Basically he stole our engine and will not contact us back. Two weeks ago he did respond and told us that he was awaiting pick up for the engine to be shipped back. At this point it is easy to believe he hasn t and will not be shipping it back. Legal proceedings will follow. Do not do business with Pure Performance if you want honest and trustworthy work to be performed to your car or engine!

I was in need of car being serviced and was very skeptical in finding a new mechanic for my 2014 3 series as I am a female and have been taken advantage of by my prior mechanic. I was very pleased to find TJ by going through many Google reviews and felt comfortable to try his service. TJ was very transparent and told me he would take care of it but it wouldn't be to the next day. To my surprise he called me 4 hours later saying the work had been done and for a decent price.
