AMAZING! When I tell you I had an emergency and I was terribly scared I sucked water into my car . They wasted no time to get me checked out and on my way. They took the time to analyze my issue and also provided me an honest review of my car. Ladies, I know we have issues with mechanics but you won t have one here. Very honest, very helpful. I truly cannot thank them enough. I will be back for any issues just because I felt so secure in the service that was provided. JP COTTON THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to my worst enemy. Brought my 13 Jetta tdi in for repairs on passenger side suspension due to to an accident I had. Only reason I brought it here was because of the proximity to my job, even though I did read bad reviews I decided to trust them. Mind you my vehicle had not been worked on for suspension or any other reason on any side of the vehicle. These were the only people to ever work on my passenger side suspension, all factory parts. All together parts and labor I paid around $1200 this was in Feb 2022. My family and I decided to take a trip to Big Bend National Park Nov 2022 about 9hrs away from where we live. We arrived safely but the next morning I noticed my front right tire was flat so I took it off and quickly noticed a missing flanged nut on my stabilizer bar link and a bolt missing from a mount that holds the brake lines. I'm aware that the missing bolt and nut would have not put us in any life threatening situations but the fact of the matter is that any missing parts is just unacceptable for a mechanic shop to not replace or tighten up. I called and spoke to not sure who but he denied that they worked on the bottom side of the link never touched or unscrewed it, but like I stated before no one has worked on it but them. I checked the driver side suspension my self and everything is there like it comes from the factory as it should. Please think before taking your vehicle here. It's not worth the RISK, TIME, and MONEY!

I arrived early this morning to try and get a vehicle inspection. Tony was the gentlemen who helped me out. He was very professional and had me out of there in 20 minutes as promised. Great service!

Went here for years while living in Houston. I'm pretty mechanically minded, but I took my truck here for issues that I couldn't fix myself. They were always able to get creative and resolved every issue I've had for a reasonable price. Not cheap, but get what you pay for

This is my second time coming here to get my state vehicle inspection. I called to get to set an appointment, they said first come first serve. I was able to arrive and get the state inspection accomplished in a half an hour. Thank you and had very polite service.

Initially I thought they were a decent shop because they had a clean customer waiting area and seemed polite but now I learned why they were that way and that's only because they were getting paid. I brought a car in for an alignment a few months ago and now I have excessive tire wear on the both front wheels of the car and the guy in the front flat out told me I could have banged the front end against something going down the road after driving it for that many miles. And guess what!? he figured all of this without getting up off of his chair. Never came out to look at the car, never asked how many miles it had been driven, did not look for any damage on tires from hitting assumed object... Oh he also looked in his system and said there were no notes about me putting new wheel bearings and tie rod ends on the car (I told them the day I brought the car in and told them that was why I needed alignment done...) I don't argue with people, I just don't come back. You decide for yourself.Update: Here is the print from another shop after more suspension parts that were loose were replaced (lower ball joints, upper control arms, and stabilizer bar links, which were never mentioned by Poutus automotive tech as being in need of replacement when /if he ever did the allignment). Toe adjustment was not touched as the ball joint shanks will come straight out of the knuckles and you can see how far off it shows BOTH FRONT WHEELS TO BE. (Tell me I have hit something causing both wheels to open up a few degrees... with no damage to the side walls of my tires... PURE BS!)It is costing me close to $800 for 2 tires that did not to be replaced if Poutus automotive had done honest work the first time.My doubts are confirmed now... will never come back to this crooked business again and you can look at my photos and judge for yourself!

5 stars plus - my vehicle broke down near their shop. I called - never been there before, the mechanics dropped what they were doing and pushed my car into their lot. They diagnosed the problem, affordable pricing, and had it fixed by noon the next day. I rarely write reviews, only when it's excellent service. Thought I had an issue with my steering/axle, turns out it was just a bad tire And they saved me a lot of money. The customer service was great the communication was great and the facility was clean. Definitely trust these guys and will bring my vehicle back when needed.

I thought this was a good place at first. They smile and have you think everything will be fine, My first visit was for a coolant sensor kit. The next week my car ran hot. I had to have it towed there, They had my car almost 2 weeks and charged me over 2 grand. They called me to pick it up and said my over heating problem was over. I drove for 2 miles and every light came on low coolant, the engine light. I had to get coolant from a stripes gas station. This has been the worst experience ever. I called the next morning and told them. Eddie couldn t say a word. The owner said if it did happen. How insensitive can you be. This place is trash!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Great service, but I called ahead, twice, on two different days, to ask if they're available for an inspection, and both times when I arrived, I learned I wasted a trip and that it was unavailable. Could have at least led me to an available location in the area. Found one on my own on the way home and got it done. Time wasted, but in the past they been great. Just don't bother calling ahead, I guess.

Our regular mechanic has changed ownership, and we had some concerns over service quality. Since Poutous is so close to us and the reviews were very good, we decided to give them a shot and see how the experience went. I left an appt request online, and they called to verify, which was nice. They kept our car overnight while they checked things out. (Basically it needed brake fluid replaced and checked for leaks in the coolant system) They called back with a quote for the work, and I told them OK. They had the car ready to go within their estimate. I put some cardboard down in the garage and after a week it didnt have a single drop on it, so I know they got the work done like they said. Will definitely return for future service needs.In addition, while their parking area is a bit cramped, their waiting area is huge, and well stocked so you'll be comfortable while you wait. The three gentlemen i spoke to while I was there were friendly and down to earth.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Overall the experience was great. They exceeded my expectations. I was having problems with my transmission overheating and they replaced the transmission, water pump, and coolant resorvoir within a few day. They also washed my car and cleaned my tires which was really nice of them. I really appreciate that. My only con was the communication. They were supposed to keep me updated on things and they didn t. I had to call them to get updates although they told me that they would call me on certain days. Regardless, my car is riding better than ever and I am truly pleased.

Just met the people at this shop face to face on 11/16//18, had previously dealt with them only by phone but they are VERY professional and did a wonderful job installing a motor in my Toyota. I couldn't be any more satisfied with the service . The car now drives like a brand new car. After putting the faces with the names that I had made all of my arrangements with by phone, EVERYONE was just as pleasant and informative as our previous phone conversations I live in NC and unfortunately my engine gave out during the time I was in Texas, but I would recommend them to ANYONE. Just got my Tacoma back from getting the 75k mile treatment and it's running smoother than ever. They looked it over from bumper to bumper and only did what was needed. (Thankfully, being a Toyota, there wasn't much that needed to be done). We've been using Poutous for years, and it will continue to be the ONLY place we bring our vehicles.Thanks guys, great work as always.

Highly recommend this auto repair shop. My first experience was when I took a vehicle in to get checked out prior to purchase. The guys took their time making sure everything was looked at. They worked for my best interest. Just the other day I took in the same vehicle for. TCM issue. This was an error that my husband did removing an extra battery. Derek and his team were quick to diagnose the problem and they had my vehicle ready to go in no time. They are honest and fair in their pricing. Again, I highly recommend them. Thank you Poutous!!!

I've been looking for a great local mechanic shop. Leaving this review to help other people. The reviews are true. This is a great place. The staff is friendly, the shop is clean, the prices are reasonable. They got me in quick and I didnt have a long wait. Thank you for the great service. I had a friend who took her car to this shop to fix her AC, and when she picked it up her inside door handle was broken. When she noticed the door handle was broken she called the next morning to inform one of the managers named J.P. that the handle was not in that condition before she took it to the shop. She then took the car in to see if they could fix it since it happened on their behalf, and after she dropped it off she got a call later that day saying she would have to pay half of the damage that they did to her vehicle since it was so to speak "only fair". Please make sure to check your vehicles before leaving this shop so you don't have the same issues.

I rave about Poutous Auto Repair to EVERYONE!I recently moved to the area and needed an oil change. I m a big proponent of local businesses for auto repair. I tried Mister Oil Change/Car Wash for a while, but honestly felt like they were always trying to stack on additional things needing fixed on top of an oil change.I did a Google search for oil change services in the area and Poutous stood out to me because of the high reviews.The experience was so easy! My car was done in about 30 minutes. I drive an old model Tahoe and had always opted for pretty much the cheapest oil, usually a cheap Mobil 1. When I spoke to the mechanic, he mentioned that they used a price friendly premium oil that would extend the mileage of this oil change more so than the oil I had been using.When checking out, the man at the front desk signed me up for their rewards and loyalty program, which gave me about $20 off the service, making the oil change much more price friendly than any place I ve been to in Houston.Afterward, I spoke with a mechanic about my Service Engine light which is throwing an EVAP leak code. He was very upfront that there was no immediate issue other than not being able to pass an emissions test. He then proceeded to tell me the process of finding out where the leak is, giving me my options based on best case scenario and worst case scenario and informed me that if the leak would take longer than 20-30 minutes to fix, they would provide a shuttle to go home and I could pick up my car when ready. He also gave me a price estimate based on similar instances. And seriously, I ve never had a mechanic be so upfront with me about pricing and process.The communications I receive from Poutous make me smile! They re so genuine and so kind. I actually received "Poutous bucks and a hand written note in the mail, and for me, those things go so far!I will definitely be using Poutous from here on out. I ve never been so pleased with an auto repair shop!

If you need simple service, or you need someone who is will to take the extra step. Poutous Automotive is the place. I am speaking from experience. I was very impressed with the level of attention that I received. J. P. Cotton and the team have gained a lifetime customer. I will refer and recommend everyone that I know to them.

We were visiting Houston for the weekend and had car trouble. We looked up shops in the area we were staying and found Poutous. We called at 730 and went straight there! They got us in immediately and diagnosed within 10 minutes. EVERYONE there are personable and knowledgeable. I would and will use them if ever in Houston and in a bind. They get 10 stars! Thank you!

As the owner of a 2001 Lexus GS 300 I take pride in who I let service my car whenever I don't take it to the dealer. I drove in to Poutous with an issue with my car. The staff were honest and told me what to expect. They even dropped me off, and picked me up. Further, I was offered a loner car because the service being done was over the holiday. Based on the services that I received, I would highly recommend Poutous Auto Repair. Thanks guys, I appreciate your honesty and time.

This is one car repair place you can trust. That is so important to me as a senior single female. I depend on Poutous to keep my car running and safe for me. I now live almost 2 hours away but I still drive in to Poutous to get my oil changes and repairs.
