The staff is beyond helpful! They will explain your services needed and make sure that you are okay with things prior to servicing. They are ethical, nice, a true gem in the community! I've been in Houston for a year looking for a reputable Car facility && by chance I know I found it! No wonder they have been successfully in business since the 80's! Wonderful Christian people!!

After my Kia Soul was stolen I had came here to repair the cosmetics around my steering column and get a replacement for my blinker signal switch. They also noticed I needed an oil change and were able to help take care of this for me as well! Great people and great prices. Definitely recommend this place :)

This place on Kelly understands vehicles.people.and pricing not to mention is both owner and operator of this shop doing the mechanical repairs himself talk to him one day get auto fixed same day or next pricing is on individual basis trust this Christian man

This is my new car shop. I love these guys. The technicians are certified and friendly. I was taking my car on a road trip and I wanted a 20-point inspection. They were nice enough to do it without an appointment and for no charge. If I have any car repair needs I will definitely return.

Went in for front brakes and rotors and front lower right control arm. Needed more stuff but gonna have to wait for funds. Got it done relatively quick. Picked up car. Initially no issues but on the way to work, hurt a squealing noise when braking and assumed it was large trucks next to me on the freeway. Heard it again on the way home and then some metal rubbing. Panicked and took it to another shop closer to my work. They determined it was the brake dust wall that had gotten bent and was touching the rotors. They affirmed the brakes were perfectly fine. Much appreciate the prompt repair from Ortega. For future visits, please test drive it prior to pickup. Could of all been avoided. All in all, great job.Service: Brakes

I wanted to support local business and I'm really glad that I did. The check engine light is finally off & even though the services that I needed cost a pretty penny (to me HAHA), the prices were fair & reasonable. They were thorough & precise. Mary & Letti were so friendly and answered any questions that I had & listened to all of my concerns. This is my very first experience going to get work done but it was such a pleasant experience. I will be back. I love this shop!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning, Battery, Oil change

I wanted to take this opportunity to praise Ortega Automotive.I took my 2012 Toyota Prius to Ortega on December 7, 2022 for extensive repairs. I am extremely happy with the service I received and I recommend this organization whole heartedly! Called to see about getting my a/c fixed when I realized it'd gone out. I was told I'd have to leave the car overnight, so that's what I did. They called me at 5:30pm to let me know the issue and the price. The next day at 3pm my car was ready for pickup!Overall, great work and completed in a timely manner.The only recommendation I have is to advise people of the $100 diagnostic fee before they come in. I spoke to someone over the phone twice and then to the girl at the front desk. But it wasn't until I had filled out the paperwork, given them my keys, and was walking away that they stopped me and informed me of the fee to check my a/c. Their website makes no mention of a fee nor do any comments I read.I came here because of the reviews and I would come again.

These guys are a class act. Friendly, always answer the phone and deliver what they say they will. We're new to the area but they have taken care of us very well both times we've been in. We've brought both of our cars here and they performed the repairs quickly and for reasonable prices. They referred us to Ralph's Wreckers who were friendly and professional as well.

We brought in our Toyota Camry '06 for an alignment but they found a bigger issue and offered us a fantastic deal on the work that needed doing. When we'd had similar work done in the past, it had cost us 3x what we paid here. It's now been about two weeks since we had the work done and the car is driving flawlessly.We dropped the car off the night before and it was ready by the end of the next workday. I would highly recommend them for both the value and the quality of the work done. They even polished our headlights.The customer service is excellent and they're honest about what needs to be done and what can wait. Because of the extra labor expense of dividing the work, we opted to have it all done in one go but we definitely appreciated that that option was offered to us because there are times when we've been more cash-strapped than we were when we brought our car in.

Horrible experience! They are liars! Did not fix my problem and refused to refund my money, even after showing them my car was not fixed. They gave excuses and rebuttals, that did not match the agreed upon job. Do NOT use this auto shop. I went to a more experienced mechanic (30+ yrs) afterwards, that completely contradicted their entire diagnosis. And informed me that Ortega s work had nothing to do with my car s issue. THIEFS, even worse took my money in the middle of a pandemic and expressed no wrongdoing on their behalf! Extremely disappointed. Mind you this is my first and only google review ever, goes to show my extreme disappointment.

Super friendly and quick service. Take all my cars for inspections and never given an issue. Honest service and so helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to bring my car in for service or repairs. NEVER had extra service done and been notified if they suspect problems.

Highly recommend this shop! I used to work close by their shop, but still use them even though many are closer to my new job. They exhibit extraordinary courtesy and professionalism. I will continue to use them as long as I am in the Houston area.
