I have been coming here for a couple of years now. I have had work done on my Mercedes, my wife's Mercedes, my F150, my son's Toyota and my daughters Nissan. I have had everything from an oil change, a new radiator, a new transmission and suspention work.They always do great work and if i have had any issues they were quick to correct it. They are honest, prompt and communicate well while they have your vehicle. They may not be the "cheapest" shop around but, you get what you pay for. I have recommended them to multiple people and everyone has been happy with the services the provided.

Jim runs a very professional and honest shop. He won't try to up-charge you for extra work you don't need.I get my car inspected here yearly, and have had quite a bit of repair work done - always for a fair price.

Went there for a state inspection on a car I've owned for 8 years. The widows are tinted and haven't failed an instruction in 8 years. Supposedly my tint was 3% over the "limit" so they failed me on that. Went to another shop very close by and passed with no problems.

This experience with Jem was pretty excellent I love how he took care of me and I definitely will be coming back. He fixed my brakes probably and he saved me 2200$ on a whole new brake caliper and which was very much needed I will definitely be coming back to this shop

Came in as a first time customer, and the service from Jim was outstanding. I called last minute to get my car in for a service and state inspection and they got me in within the hour. Kept me updated on the progress on my car and gave me a fair price on everything I needed. Will definitely be back for anything my car needs!

I came here previously to get my windshield repaired. Today, I randomly dropped my card between my door (in the window opening) and rushed here. They were closing and rushed to get in! They got my door open and my card on record time! I recommend!

I've been taking our cars to Jim at Northwest Auto for years. He's never been anything but honest and upfront. My entire family calls him directly whenever we need auto repair, regardless of the severity. He always picks up the phone and sets a realistic expetation of price and timing of repair. I've had several things repaired on my vehicle. Hood lach, oil changes, cadillac converter, tune up etc. I felt tune up was a bit pricey for the basic, but overall great customer service! and happy with the work. Always done in a timely manner! Very comfortable and trust worthy shop to bring a vehicle to. Jim and Erika does a great job!

This shop really helped me out. My car was dead they fixed it in a timely manner and I the owner worked with me for the payments. I definitely Recommend people come to this mama shop if they need any car services. Also the customer service was fantastic

Came in for a broken car window. Everyone gave me a higher quote and advised I found a cheaper one and he (Mr.Jim) priced match . I really appreciate Mr. Jim and his team ! He really turned a bad day into a good one . Highly recommend this shop ! Great work

This place is great. Great location, great service, honest people. They do a free tire rotation with the oil change and other random specials on occasion. Been coming here for years and they've always taken care of me

Don't bring your car here for anything major. Sent car in for ignition and he wanted to install a new engine and charge me $4,600 (which seems to be a common number here in the reviews). Asked him to only do the ignition and wanted to charge me over $500 which is ridiculous. He first told me he was able to start the car and then told me the motor was locked. If a motor is locked it won't start. Even the tow truck driver who brought the car back home was laughing about the prices and told me I am not te he first one he's heard this shop has tried to RIP off. Later on he wouldn't even respond for the estimate that he charged me for.He claimed the labor is the expensive part. Damn he must be the best employer in TX paying that much Long story short...somebody else did it for not even half the money he was asking for.And see attached pictures of how he returned the car

AGAIN I DONT RECOMMEND GETTING YOU CAR FIXED HERE ... EVER.The guy at the front dest was charging me a part for 3,000$Saying I needed a new moter. For a part later found out was needed that was less then 100 dollars "the arm." Who ever the guy was working the front desk should be sued. He was really trying to rip me off. DONT TRUST THIS MAN GO WITH SOMEONE YOU KNOW IF ANYTHING.

The owner is a real POS. This guy promised to diagnose my car, then proceeded to try to charge me later the same day. When I reminded him of our conversation, he immediately became rude and really unprofessional. It was quite shocking. So I towed my car to another shop and happily paid for good service to get my car repaired.

He took me in without an appointment, was able to fix my passenger window which was broken in less than two days and it was even cheaper with him then it would ve been the company that I would have gone through. I really cannot say enough good things about my experience working with Jim and team at NW Houston Auto Repair. I had been using them for my oil changes but recently needed a new windshield and body work. The lines of communication couldn't have been more clear, the customer service top notch, and the prices were fair. In past experiences with other shops, they have really tried to take advantage of me with the cost of repair. Complete opposite of my experience with Jim. I recently took my Subaru in for its timely maintenance as well as to see if Jim and his team could identify and fix an issue where my steering wheel would vibrate at times when driving freeway speeds.Not only did they take care of the oil change, tire rotation etc, but they actually ended up fixing the vibration issue as well, all in the same day. I felt that they really took great care of my vehicle and that the total cost for this particular work that they did was very reasonable.I've found my go-to place for my car. Thank you Jim and team!!

My brakes were grinding took it to Northwest Houston brakes and they did a great job and gave me a good price. I highly recommend them. Support local and family owned businesses. I know they can not please everyone but for the general they try very hard to fix right the cars. I moved into the Heights neighborhood summer 2021 and have consistently brought my vehicle here for routine maintenance and repairs ever since. Jim and his team are always extremely thorough with their services, are able to return the vehicle same day, and in time for me to able to pick up my child before school dismisses. They're also affordable and greet you warmly when you come. I called in for a quote on my windshield replacement, surprised at the price I was told on the phone, which is a third less than others. Made an appointment and got it done fast. Like the young man Jim's sincere and honest attitude, found out that he is the owner. I am also on the market for a new set of tire (4) and got quotes from other BIG corporations, he matched the price. Being a small business owner before, I do not hesitate to give him the business and I can see how much he appreciates. I challenge readers of this review to patronize your local small businesses than major brand names. Jim earns my business from this onwards.
