Very thorough service. Excellent at explaining what was done to my car and timing for future needs so I could budget repairs for my old jeep. Awesome. I would t go anywhere else.

Great shop, great experience. Sam was super on top of everything related to my car repair. He was thoughtful, kind, and helpful in my time of need after an accident. I would recommend this shop, and will go back again for any car-related needs [though hopefully that won t be any time soon! No offense :)]

Montrose Automotive takes such great care of my car! Took it in for its regular oil change and they noticed issues with breaks that really needed to be addressed. To be honest they are very polite but have misdiagnosed my car's problems multiple times that led me to spending thousands to get it actually repaired somewhere else. I kept returning because it's convenient but I came to the conclusion they don't really know what they're doing. Plus they lost my wheel lock key and I had to spend $80 to get a new one. Their rates are a little more expensive and they don't really help you with your problems, so why bother?

Can t speak about the service itself, but the customer service is impeccable. I went in to have a leaking tire checked and it turned out the whole wheel is bent and needs to be replaced, and showed me a picture of the damage.They quoted me the price of a full one as well as a refurbished one that they can get, but did not pressure me to have that done today, as I did not have time.I was offered coffee, they pumped some air into the tire without me asking and wasn t charged a dime. So nice!

Can t say enough good about this shop. Prices are better than anywhere else I ve tried (and literally THOUSANDS less than quoted at Lexus/Mercedes), work is solid, but truly the most impressive aspect is the customer service. The gentlemen here are so kind, friendly, and accommodating- all friends/family I ve recommend this shop to have also had the same experience! It s so hard to find a mechanic that s trustworthy/fair, but if you are looking - look no further! You are in good hands at Montrose Automotive.

I've lived in Houston for about three years now and this has been my go-to automotive shop ever since I arrived. The guys working there are always very nice, the prices are very fair, and their work has always been solid. Zero complaints and would recommend to anyone in the area!

DO NOT GO HERE! They will Sabotage your vehicle then attempt to charge you 10 times more! The AC stop blowing cold after 3 YEARS. I took the car there, they fill it up with freon and dye for $350. Within 3 DAYS, the AC was blowing Hot Air. Brought the car back and they said that there were 7 leaks and ALL of the freon leaked out! Yes 7 leaks. How can a car have 7 leaks within 3 days? Then they tried to charge me $3300 to fix ALL 7 leaks that mysteriously just happened. There is NO WAY you can have 7 leaks from Different Locations under the hood all at one time when the AC worked for 3 Years without a problem BUT didn't last for 3 Days after taking the car there.BEWARE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, NOT HERE!Service: Auto A/C recharge

EXTORTION. Took the car in for a quick tire fix and took it to our normal shop a day later due to a crazy new sound that started after leaving Montrose. Said the drum/bearing seems to have been smashed as if with a sledgehammer. I guess this is why all the one star reviews are from picking up their cars damaged. Must get awesome repeat business this way! Scammers.Service: Tires

They charged $700 to replace front break pads lol. Go somewhere else. These people are greedy and will overcharge. Got it done for 200 for the back break pads at a different place

I walked in the door and it was like coming home! David and Sam, previously of Montrose Car Care, are there now and, after trading with them for over 25 years, it was great seeing them again!I was trying to get my cat into the Vet and had her with me. David got my car in very quickly and they got started on the car immediately. When my Vet called and was ready for my cat, their courtesy car ran us their and back again. The work was finished quickly and professionally and the charge was very reasonable.I highly recommend Montrose Automotive Center to anyone needing auto service. Thank You David and Crew!

I was victim to a smash and grab late Monday night, had my car to Montrose Automotive on Tuesday afternoon, and was driving away on Wednesday afternoon with a new window and my relatively new car was looking as good as new. Thank you, friends. Keep up the good work. Houston needs you!!

My 2006 jeep liberty with 150k on the engine was having issues and within a day they had it running like new and the fixed some cosmetic issues for me. Alan, I couldn't agree with you more. People BEWARE! BEWARE!!! This is one of the most dishonest places I have ever encountered. These guys damaged my front rim and tire and then denied doing so. This despite the fact that I took pictures of the damage which clearly shows fresh damage and a picture of the curb where one of their employees hit rim/tire. Since I am selling the car and recently had it listed, I had a picture of the rim showing no damage. I would highly recommend that you take your business to an honest company that is willing to admit when they are wrong. I will never go back! They have a "F" rating with the BBB.UPDATE: The owner of the business texted me shortly after posting the above review. Owner apologized and agreed to have the rim restored to original condition. I appreciate that he made good on his promise.While the staff, excluding the store manager, were all polite, I will never do business with this company again. I highly recommend that you carefully inspect and document your car's condition prior to leaving it in the hands of a company that will try to save a few bucks by blaming and then attempting to collect for damage that they clearly created.

Very sales oriented and not super trustworthy.The check engine light on my car was on and thus wouldn t be able to pass state inspection. I first went to Montrose Automotive Center who charged me more than $100 for a diagnostic and then proceeded to tell me I would need a new catalytic converter and would cost me over $1300. The person I had to talk to was very sales oriented and seemed straight out of a dealership.I ended up not trusting them and taking my car somewhere else (Ryle s Complete Auto Care) for a second opinion. Ryle s gave me a free diagnostic check, fixed my check engine light issue, did my state inspection, and replaced a hose, all for only $150.To be fair, I have had good experiences at Montrose Automotive, so I don t want to tell you to never come here. However, be on the look out for fishy upselling tactics that you would expect to see at a dealership but not at your local mechanic. I personally will only come here again as a last resort.

Very friendly people..but will definitely try to get everything out of you they can..no matter how much money you have..the more the better...never will recommend none of my friends or family to go the..they try to fix my car..or tell me the repairs was 3 x the cost of my car..wow..stay away

My vehicle had a slow leak in the tire. Dropped in without and appointment and was able to get it fixed and back on the road in under 30 minutes. Friendly staff. Clean waiting area. Only minor gripe is that they didn't inflate the tires afterwards - they said the TPMS just wasn't picking up the air quite yet but I had to inflate them myself later in the day because they continued to register that they had been left low. Would give 4 stars but for that small lack of attention to detail.

Awful experience. All I needed was state inspection, oil change, and the free 40 point inspection from AAA. I ended up paying $107.35 for just the oil change. My car is a 2016 Impala with 68,000 miles.I was told that my car needed over 20+ hours of work and was quoted hundreds of dollars to get my car ready for inspection. They told me that I couldn't pass without 2 new rear tires, which they could sell me for $250 each plus an additional $250 for the labor.I paid them for the oil change and left. Within a few days, my car car wouldn't start. I had the battery replaced and haven't had any problems. I took the car to a different shop for the inspection and the only issue was that I had to go drive another 45-60 miles because of the new battery. I brought it back after driving, and it passed. All it cost was a battery and the $25.50 inspection fee.My appointment was scheduled by Dave and the name on the receipt is Abraham Omran. I would not recommend this place to anyone!Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change
