Recently visited for oil change, customer service was really great and they have a system where they log pictures of things that they find wrong with the car so they can show you instead of just telling you. They even took pics of my brake pads, suspension, and tires and showed me that they were in good shape. Paul is very thorough when looking over the cars he works on and I appreciate his awesome service

This was the worst service I have ever received. I took my car in to get a catalytic converter replaced and they were never able to fix it. I had to take my car back 5 times because it kept tripping the check engine light after it was "repaired". I ended up having to take it to a new repair shop and spend even more money to fix what this company did. It turns out they were installing the wrong parts. The store manager, Steve, was incredibly rude and would just put me on permanent hold every time I called. Their district manager also has never called me back. I did not receive a refund for any of this either so I was out almost $4k. Do not use this company if you do not want your money stolen from you.

I've never had such a bad experience. I made an appointment in the store to change the oil and did tire pressure monitoring. As a result, the indicator light of the low tire pressure has not been eliminated. The repairman told me that it's okay to drive on the road. I drove for a week and still reminded me that the tire pressure was insufficient. This Saturday is today I went back to this store and asked them to help me monitor the tire pressure again, looking for various reasons to shirk it. Finally, they couldn't help me and kicking me out. They are so rude and I NEVER come to this store again!

!!!THIS IS A WARNING!!! DO NOT ENTER THIS BUILDING !I am not the only person this has happened toI entered Midas on S Dairy Ashford Oct 27, 2023 around 12:00pm under the impression I needed a break pad replacement as my car is only 3 years old and the breaks had just recently started squeaking, and had done research to make sure this was doable.I also mentioned I wouldn't be able to afford it yet and just wanted to know how much it would cost, and was planning on returning at a later date to have the work done as I also had work later that day and an event to attend in the evening. I was assured there were financing options available and not to worry, they could get me set up right then and there. I figured something like a break pad replacement wouldn't take super long or be very expensive (was expecting around 4-500$), and I still had three hours before work. They didn't look super busy, so I completed the loan qualification form just to see if I would be able to have the work done there.I was approved for 2,400$ in financing (this should have been my first clue something was up). Then my car was pulled into the shop and they started taking a look. After two hours, I asked how much longer it would be for my estimate. I had heard someone order a bundle over the phone and was nervous they had ordered rotors for my car, and I had to leave soon. He mentioned they were ordering and waiting on parts, which concerned me because no one had said literally anything to me at this point. Come to find out they had indeed ordered a rotor break bundle for my car, and they had decided to replace everything without checking with me or getting any kind of approval, because 'replacing just the pads is something we just don't do. Just can't do it'. That's fine, if that's the case. but nobody had mentioned this to me.I asked how much it was going to cost and they printed me an invoice with 4 digits on it, which I was not very happy about considering nobody had approved this with me. It was explained to me my rotors were heat warped, because 'Hyundai uses low quality materials', and had to be replaced, so I asked if they would take me into the shop to show me, which Steve did, even though I was wearing sandals (which has to be against safety regulations), and I went and looked, obviously I just took his word for it. I couldn't contact any of my people either, because my phone had been dead this whole time, so I had no way of finding out or getting a second opinion.I let him know I cannot afford this right now, which is exactly what I had already said multiple times. I asked about the financing and he assured me I wouldn't have to make any payments for two months, and that there was no interest. This made me feel better as I figured it would be manageable. I said ok, I guess I need new ones anyways, under the impression I had been painted the full picture. This was not the case. I filled out the rest of the paperwork electronically, didn't see any mention of any payment plan or interest rate, so you can only imagine my absolute terror when I received an E-mail a few days later notifying me I'm enrolled in weekly payments of 40$ that start next week. Open the documents to find the loan is financed at 154% with 70~ weekly payments (totaling almost 3,000$). The legal usury limit in Texas is 10%. I had never seen these sheets before. I don't know ANYBODY who would sign for a loan at 154% willingly. The manager also asked me for my loan pin which it specifically said not to give to any employee, but to type, which I thought was very strange, and am now wondering if that had something to do with it.Afterwards I consulted with one of my friends who is a mechanic in North Houston who confirmed I was ripped off. The breaks they put on work, but are super noisy and groan every other time I break.I have already been majorly inconvenienced by these payments, and will continue to be.Hoping somebody from the company can make this right. I plan on contacting lawyers soon if not.Hopefully this serves as a good warning for someone.

Went in for an oil change which went well. Then a service associate told me that my brakes were almost worn to the metal & he has a special for $159. I was reluctant at first but decided to do it then his manager advised him to charge double($365) because he made a mistake. I decided not to use their services & got the brakes & installation for $200. I asked the service technician to keep to pads for me because I wanted to check the wear. Turns out they weren t rubbing metal like the Midas stated. I would of kept getting oil changes there but now I don t trust them. Check the picture does that look like metal to metalService: Oil change

I recently visited Midas and had the pleasure of working with Eric. The service provided by Eric was exceptional. I felt a strong sense of trust in his expertise and the quality of work performed on my vehicle was outstanding. Additionally, the price for the services rendered was very reasonable. Overall, my experience at Midas with Eric was amazing. I highly recommend their services for anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy automotive repairs.

I waited a few days to write this review to make sure I could write it with an even head. I don't like giving poor reviews, but I think this is an important one to give. Two stars for a couple of decent oil changes and a passed inspection. I unfortunately can't give any more than two stars because of the constant upselling EVERY SINGLE TIME. This past visit, I had to get my brakes done. The cost of the service kept going up as new issues were discovered and things had to be done in order for the car to be "safe". When they already have your car, it's really difficult to be like, "Actually, never mind. This is getting way more expensive than I had planned for, and it frankly sounds like you're making things up. I'm done." So, the cost skyrocketed as the shop staff used a lot of technical jargon to convince me that I needed the extra work they were doing. When I left the shop that day, the staff member who'd processed my payment called after me with a grin, "Your car is now SAFE!"But here's the kicker: when I was driving home, the car was making a loud noise when I braked. I'm not talking the typical squeaking that comes along with getting used to new brakes. There are normal noises and bad noises. This was a bad noise. Anyway, fed up with upselling shenanigans and the feeling that I wasn't going to get straight answers from this shop, I got a (much cheaper) second opinion elsewhere. The car stopped making that bad noise altogether. In conclusion, I want to give credit where credit is due. This Midas is great for remembering to apply current coupons whenever they can. They also do sometimes offer the pick up and drop off service, so you don't have to wait at the shop. But, for me, that is where the good things ended. Knowing that I was going to be overcharged and subjecting to upselling every visit stressed me out and made me feel like I couldn't trust these guys. So, they made an extra buck but lost my trust. I guess that's how the cookie crumbles. To potential customers: you don't have to know cars to know people. Trust your gut.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Oil change

This is our third time at this location and it s always been a great experience. Eric helped my husband and I out on our car issues and saved us a lot of money in comparison to the infiniti dealership. He provided exceptional service even though he was the only one at the desk. We will be coming there again for any future car concerns!Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Came in for an oil change today, Bryan was super helpful and friendly. He went over the things I need to have done maintenance wise on my car since I had no idea. The last time I came here was well over a year ago and the guy at the desk was so rude to me because I scheduled an online apt but never received a confirmation email so I made sure to call this time before coming out. Definitely glad I gave this place another shot. I ll be back!

Bryan C at Houston, TX 77077 location was awesome, very knowledgeable about anything and everything and very professional through and through. He s poised and calm and deals with everyone on a personal yet professional basis. His other older buddy was just as the same. Anyone who ever visited any auto shop for repairs or whatever and expected to be outta there in an hour or less but went on to give bad reviews of the auto shop about time-keeping then really shows their impatience in life because great things/services are NEVER RUSHED! I can t really speak for the mechanics because I didn t get to interact with them but overall, I m happy I gave this place a chance! They re awesome, courteous and smart people with outstanding services!!!

If you take your vehicle here, make them give you an estimate in writing which includes the warranty. Do NOT believe in their verbal communication. Learn from my experience. The catalytic converters on my SUV were stolen. OEM replacement was over $3000 which was too costly for a $6000-$7000 vehicle so I decided to go with aftermarket. I shopped around. The cost ranged from $600 to $1800. After talking to Sam at this location, I decided to pay for a more expensive cost for 1 year warranty because I knew Toyota vehicles were picky with the catalytic converters. I asked him multiple times (at least 5 times) about the warranty because I worked on cars and had personal problem with cat. converters before so I knew it was risky to use aftermarket cat. converters. Every time I asked, he responded with "1 year warranty".I paid $1550 to have 2 cat. converters and 2 oxygen sensors installed. When I got the receipt, I asked the front desk lady, Miranda, to make sure the warranty was 1 year and she said yes.Because of the way Sam talked to me, I thought he was being honest and professional so I even sent a friend with stolen cat. converters to this location.A few days after 3 months and 2200 miles later, check engine light turned on with error code P0420: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold on bank 1. I brought the car back, Sam now told me they installed universal cat. converters which had 90 days warranty (?). He blamed it on me for going with the cheaper options, thus, the shorter warranty. He didn't say anything about different cat. converters being used going from $17xx to $1550. It was purely price negotiation. NOT ONCE did he mentioned anything about the warranty being 90 days when I asked him about the warranty just before I agreed to have the work done. I would have walked out of there if I knew the warranty was 90 days. Who would pay $1550 to have 90 days warranty on the cat. converters? Now, he said he would work with me by attempting to ask the vendor to replace the part but I must pay $187.xx labor charge because labor would be warrantied for 90 days anyway. He wouldn't acknowledge that if he used better cat. converters, I wouldn't have the problem after only 2200 miles. If I was to agree with that, what about the other one if it went bad in a few weeks or the new one went bad? How much do I need to pay in total?I could have used another shop with a much much cheaper price since it wouldn't make a difference anyway. Sam intentionally deceived me to believe the warranty was 1 year and then wanted me to pay more money on labor to put in another "universal cat. converter" that lasts around 90 days.Update: Just a few weeks later, the other catalytic converter went bad also. The manager, Sam, is a scammer who baited me on 1 year warranty on the catalytic converters verbally then switched to 90-day warranty on the receipt in writing AFTER they were already installed.Service: Exhaust

Randy and his staff are stellar. I had a coupon for an oil change & came 30 minutes early & my car was finished in about 20 minutes. (I only had a 10 minute wait which was fine since I was early) The lobby was clean & the movie selection wasn't bad either. No bells or whistles just good wholesome customer service with just the facts...keep up the AWESOME work!Service: Oil change

SCAMMERS! do not go here!!! I brought my car in to see why the AC stopped working. they charged me 500 just to look at it and diagnose the problem tried to quote me over 3k to replace the compressor. my compressor is fine. you can clearly tell just by looking if the compressor is bad or not. a second opinion costed me $170 and my car was fixed by just replacing the AC fuse and recharging. This place is a total waste of money. and racist if you ask me. i m very upset that i paid them $500 to do nothing but try to scam me out of more money to fix a nonexistent problem. shame on this place and the people who work here.Service: Air conditioning
