Can't recommend these guys enough. I have regularly gone to Kindall for repairs and inspections, and have always left with the impression that they are hard-working and honest. Right before writing this, they patched a piece of plastic that had come loose and was dragging on the bottom of my car and sent me off without requesting payment. If a repair is counter-productively expensive, they'll let you know. They are definitely mechanics you can trust.

Came in here an hour before closing, top customer service. Josh checked my car, walked me through it, fixed my light all reasonably priced. Great place.

Great service by Daniel and team.Dealership had recommended a brake job, Daniel did inspection and advised me that my brake pads had 50%+ of life remaining.No charge.I will definitely use them as my mechanic of choice in future !!

I have taken several of my vehicles to Kindall and have been happy with their services and timing. They have been reasonable on cost and have always communicated in a straightforward manner. I plan to continue taking my vehicles to them for servicing and repair.

Since 02-11-2023 our vehicle has been in this shop. Our vehicle was running when the vacuum pump went out and started leaking oil we took to Kindall and it has been a total nightmare. After changing the vacuum pump Nicolas told us that it was ready and running but that we needed extra sensors (additional $600+) for the lights on the check engine to disappear , we agreed, paid and after almost 3 weeks in the shop they told us it was ready, when we picked the car up and after paying almost $1500 dls the car died a block from the shop leaving me stranded under the Highway 610 about to cause an accident , we took it back and after another 2 plus weeks same thing they told us it was ready and again left us stranded not even a mile from the shop and having to pay towing for the 3rd time to take it back at this point Daniel had spoken to the owner and agreed to fix it or reimburse us some of the money we paid, yesterday I called and the car is still not working I asked about the refund for at least half of what we spent and the answer was no that they will have to take away the parts that supposedly were installed leaving us with the same problem of a non working vehicle and no refund. Today is 03/23/2023 , almost 2 moths later and still no car , repair or refund so I am now having to file a consumer complaint with the attorney general for this matter. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT!To the owner : im not sure what is worst your service or denying this issue like is not your shop smh , unbelievable Service: General repairs & maintenance

I'm relatively new to Houston so I don't know any auto shops, so I headed to Yelp / google to find one. Luckily for me, Kindall Automotive was first (and ultimately, the only) on my list.I had to change my license plates, but couldn't due to a rusty screw... and in doing that, I stripped the screw LOL ;__; so I needed to find someone who could help me.I came in and Daniel helped me! I was only expecting him to help me with that one screw, but he ended up changing my plates for me, even as far as putting my registration sticker on. It was such a small thing to him, but it meant so much to me. I'm sooo grateful for his kindness.In a world where many folks get taken advantage of, I know I can trust Kindall Automotive with my car repairs. Def will be recommending this shop to my friends!

I went to this shop after a friend recommended them to me. I pulled up and as soon as I got out of the car, a technician was there to see how he could help me. Daniel asked me to wait in the office. He came back in 5 mins later and said "you're good to go sir". Daniel diagnosed and fixed the problem in 5 mins. He said I had a loose gas cap but if it came back I may want to get a new gas cap. I asked Daniel how much I owed and he said nothing at all and shook my hand. What an amazing experience with an automotive repair shop. Honest and trustworthy! These guys have my business and my family's business going forward. I will also recommend them to anyone who asks.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Took my car in to Kindall for the first time and the whole experience was great. They found time for me the same day and worked quickly to diagnose my check engine light. When the issue was a simple gas cap replacement they let me know to go grab one at AutoZone as the easiest route. Didn t even charge me for the diagnostic. Really appreciated the honesty and transparency.Will be back Kindall is the place to go.

Honest, Straight forward, quick turnaround. They changed my alternator on my toyota highlander, turned it around in a few hours and when they said it would be done. On the lower end of estimated cost when compared to online estimates.1/29/24 edit: my highlander was rear-ended and declared a total loss, primarily body damage on passenger side. This happened just a week before I was supposed to bring that car on a colorado ski trip. Even though it was a loss, I took possession of it, hoping I could get it fixed in time for the trip.When insurance inspected it, they used a forklift to move it, bending all the control rods and a bunch of other stuff in the process. I brought it to Kindall and they fixed it up to be road worthy in record time, and for significantly less than the original estimate. That was a stressful week, but they made that part easy.They don't do the body work I needed, but they recommend a great shop over on Durham (BBS) that were also great to work with. This was the second recommendation I got from them that worked out great. That says something about how they do business. They hold themselves to a high standard and network with others that have similar high standards. It's what you hope to find when you bring your car in for service.

Took my 2006 tundra to Kendall s for a busted bellow. After they inspected the truck they found another issue. Nick was very thorough about explaining and send photos.They did a great job. Thanks to Nick and the staff. Finally found an honest and trustworthy shop.BennyService: General repairs & maintenance

Nick & Daniel are great guys Front struts, brakes all the way around, and honesty ball joint was not torn as dealership had said. Dealership wanted $2500, Kindell $1265, car drives great!

While at my 120K maintenance, I was told the wheel bearings needed replacing and could be done in a day, so I made another appointment for the following week since I was heading out of town. Brought it in at 8am. I was called at 11 and told it would cost more since they had to be pressed out. So they apparently waited several hours to start working on my car. I had not heard from them by 4pm so I called and was told it was not going to be ready until the next day. So I had to cancel my ride and cancel my plans for that night. I feel that I was put on the back-burner and I no longer trust them, so I will not be returning.

Went in to have a brake service and oil change. Techs mentioned that brakes and rotors were in fine condition. I appreciate their honesty. Four stars only because I was not called when the car was ready for pickup.

They fit me in on a busy Friday because he said he wanted to make sure I stayed safe because my steering wheel was shaking. This is the type of service you don t expect in a busy city,but it meant a lot. They were clearly busy and he made time to help me and then once we found out it was just due to the tire he gave me a recommendation for a place down the road. I will keep coming here due to the amazing service I received today.

I went to Kindall for a second opinion from my main mechanic, who said my Catalytic Converter was shot. I went to their guy and he told me that was not the case. With the way things are around here right now and people trying to screw around with your car, I really appreciated this. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I cannot recommend this place more. I will be a forever customer of Kindall and you should too. They are nice, respectful and efficient. I come here for all my car needs - most often inspection. They work quickly and well. As a woman I always worry if I m going to be price gauged and made to feel uncomfortable in a mechanic s shop that s never happened here. Daniel and all of them are great!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Battery, Oil change

I called them this morning because my engine shield was dragging on the ground. It s a long weekend and most places are going to be closed until Tuesday and if you ve ever had that metal piece dragging you know you could wake up an entire neighborhood with the noise. Thankfully the nice gentleman squeezed me in and removed the piece at no cost and told me to come back with the parts from the dealership when they open back up! Truly life savers and so nice! I will definitely be coming back!

Kindall Automotive is the best mechanic shop in Houston. Nick, the owner, is an honest mechanic that has the know-how and equipment to fix virtually all car problems.If I have a dealer supplied warranty or service plan, I usually take my car to the dealer for only covered (pre-paid service) and then take it to Nick to determine what, if any, "additional suggested maintenance" work is actually necessary. Nick is aware of what service needs to be done at what intervals and, because he values repeat business based on trust, will often tell me when a dealer-recommend service is not yet necessary. Once it becomes necessary, I take it in.If you are looking for an honest mechanic that you can trust, this is him. Finally, if you want to bring you car in, call ahead and see when would be a good time to drop it off.

My first experience using this shop. I WILL NEVER GO TO A DIFFERENT MECHANIC. Nick, the owner, is extremely helpful and they have been straightforward and honest with me every step of the way. Had to have an EGR system flush and an intake hose repaired, inn order to get my car inspected. They found the most affordable way to help me and have taken the time to educate me and work with everything I needed. I will be sending everyone I know here from now on. Use this place!

Love Kindall! Everyone there has been very pleasant and helpful. Unlike other places I've been, they treat me with respect even if I don't know a lot about cars. Great work and good prices.

My 4runner randomly stopped accelerating and was having electrical issues following a huge storm. Nick let my car air out and the issues were resolved. He explained to me what had happened (water entered the sunroof and caused problems), and also told me the issues involving a recent wreck I d been in so I could relay that to the body shop. 24 hours after drying out and being monitored I got my car back and it s running just fine. Thanks for helping ease my mind and monitor my car! Any future issues I ll be back.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

It is never a great thing to go to a mechanic but Kindall always makes it better. Prices are competitive and advice has always been spot on. I have always tried to find an honest mechanic where I live and this has been my go to place for the past 7 years. I have also sent people there and they seem to have the same results so eveytime we have issues we go to Kindall.

We will never go anywhere else with our cars. Went there today as I'd left the lights on my car overnight and was worried about the battery after having it jumped. They tested the battery and didn't charge me anything after telling me it was fine! They always fix our issues quickly and at a great price; great service and good honest people.

I started bringing my vehicle to this shop for routine maintenance and inspections a few years ago. My experiences have always been positive, Nick and his team have always been very accommodating and most importantly honest and trustworthy. Kindall Automotive is now my go to shop for all my repair needs.

HONEST-I went here because my ignition switch was messed up to my truck. Nick was very honest and sent me to a Locksmith because he has a charge of labor hours. I did this & am all fixed up. The point is-he could have charged me & I would have paid for it. Ty Nick for your honesty & not taking advantage of the elderly!

Kindall Auto is the place to be when you look for honest people and quick fix of your car. I go there every time I have problems with my car. From minor issues like oil change to big like changing my engine computer, the guys at Kindall took care of my car. The most important thing, they have reasonable prices and they never try to cheat you. They tell you from the beginning what the problem is and roughly how much is going to cost. I am really satisfied with the mechanics, and the management. Overall a great place!! I highly recommend that to all of you seeking not only excellent mechanics, but also excellent customer service.

Kindall Auto was recommended to vacuum and charge my AC system, after a previous disheartening experience with another auto repair shop in the Heights. Even though I had replaced the lines, condenser, and dryer on my own, Kindall Auto had no issue pulling a vacuum on the system and charging it, when other shops balked because they "didn't do the full repair." The price was extremely fair, and realistically they probably lost money on my repair as it took more time than originally anticipated. Most shops would have likely asked for more money; however, I was charged the original quoted price. My experience with Kindall Auto was quick, great service, and honest.
