Best service and nice staff. They have explained the problem and allowed me to understand what is needed to be done on my vehicle.Enjoyed the atmosphere in waiting area. Hot coffee and TV. Ask for Robbie or Armando!

I have been coming here over 13 years. The service is excellent, the mechanics are very experience and detail. Every time i get service, my car runs smooth and brand new. I now drive an extra 30 miles to have my car worked on because Robbie and crew moved to this new, nicer, location. They have always diagnosed and properly fixed my automobiles with honesty, integrity, and a fair price.

I have mainly used them for Alignment because it's hard to find someone that can align a dually 3500 properly. Last year they did a good job, but this time, Kelvin Shelton did a GREAT job. I asked him if could leave my steering wheel straight and he left it perfect along with the alignment. It's better aligned then when I bought the truck at the dealership. Plus, Gary is a very friendly and fun person to have a conversation with. I like the shop because very family oriented and welcoming. When you go to other places you feel like a number but not here. It might take a little bit but that's understandable since small shop that has been open for over 32 years, per Gary. I know they do all sorts of things but alignment is what I go for. Thank you Kelvin for doing an awesome job on my truck . Thank you Gary for the advice and laughter. I will definitely be going back and would recommend for alignment!

I think this is the best brake shop in Katy. They have really good prices and quality parts. I took my 2014 Toyota for brakes after the dealer quates me over $700. I took it to nexar auto on fry Rd and they did the work for about half price. I am very setisfied with there work and customer service.

Highly recommend if you live in Katy and/or the surrounding areas. I just happened to stop in on a whim and met with James. He was great and so were the mechanics. They went over and above to help me out, and as well, their prices were the best around, and that was after I compared prices from at least 10 different places, many of those in the heart of Katy. I definitely recommend stopping in for a quote from them no matter what your car s issue is... you ll be pleasantly surprised. It is definitely worth the trip even if it may be slightly out of your way. I know I will be back soon...

I've had check engine light that has been on my wife's Malibu for months and we have been unable to get it fixed. I took it in to Gary's, spoke with James and they were able to fix my issue the same day!!! About an hour after picking up the car, James personally called me to make sure everything was working well with the car. And then again later in the evening. WOW!!! Absolutely great customer service!!!

I had my vehicle serviced by Gary's for a year. They seemed honest and nice at first. Then, my vehicle had some minor engine trouble. I had it repaired by them, only to find out in hind site (by my uncle- a mechanic in another city) that I was way overcharged. A few months later, it was flooded by hurricane waters. I had the vehicle towed in to Gary's (they're very close to my house) to see if my car could be salvaged. I was charged an exorbitant amount JUST for the estimate. Then, they tacked on storage fees after they said it would be several thousands of dollars to repair. Unfortunately, insurance did not cover any of these fees, because I took the car for an estimate voluntarily. They still refused to waive the storage fees (the car was there for almost a week, awaiting insurance to pick up). Horrible service, unfair prices.

No way on God's green earth!They charged us $600 for a tune up. When I got my car home some of the spark plugs were not even changed!!! They only did half of them then tampered with other things under the hood AS IF WE WOULDNT NOTICE! Please if you need your car don't take it here!A vague, helpless response to my review does not change my feelings about this location. You should not have even bothered. This business cost me over $2000 in repairs.

Excellent repair shop!! I've been going to Nexar for years & will continue to come here for years to come! The techs are top tier techs that know cars (old & new)!! Honest mechanic shop with honest mechanics and upfront honest business!!

So grateful for Gary's Tire & Auto Service!James was super friendly and made everything smooth and easy answered all the questions I had and then some. Fast service and a very friendly atmosphere. A+ in my book definitely will be referring my friends & family. Thanks again Gary's!!!!

Very-very disappointed in their service. The guy at the front desk (James) talks a good talk, but their mechanics are a little messy when it come to buttoning up the job.I don't know what it is about mechanics that won't take their time to "check their work" before telling the customer that its ready.Paid over $3000.00 for a water pump and timing chain since they were already in there as he explained.Once I got vehicle home I noticed that two ground connections hadn't been secured to bolt like they should.Also, the wiring harness which clips on a bracket on the valve cover wasn't clipped on there correctly. Mechanic just let it drape over valve cover.Any mechanic worth his salt would know better than to leave these things undone. He should know that the heat from engine can do damage to wire insulation causing problems to wire conductors over a period of time.Check your work!Will not be back. Would not recommend even to my mother in law.

I've used these guys for about thirty years. Never had a bad experience. I've compared their mechanical repair costs with dealer and found them to be 10-15% better on both parts and labor.Their location is a bit of a challenge but their work is excellent.

I took my Dodge Ram 1500 to get a Rhino sprayed on bedliner. They did a great job and very professional work! I like the owner's humor to, he keeps you giggling from start to finish! I would highly recommend this type of work to be done at this establishment! :)

I stopped into Gary's , on a whim, to inquire about a bumper for my 1995 f350. I was having trouble finding what I wanted at the price I wanted to spend.Gary was not only was able to find the bumper I was looking for but at I price that was very reasonable.While I was there I inquired about several more items for my truck and he was able to either price them out for me or turn me to another company who could help.I will be returning to Gary's in the near future to have he and his top notch crew work on my truck!

I went to Power Tires and Wheels to get a tire. Everywhere I go, they never have my tire in stock. Lewis assured me they had plenty of my tire, they weren't busy, they accept credit cards and they were quick and professional. I will be back. ThanksService: TiresService: Tires

Paid $400+ to get my car fixed, it was overheating. I left the car with Gary's and got a call to say they had found the problem and that they needed to replace my water pump. Paid and started driving the truck just to find out a week later that the problem had not been solved, in 610 traffic. I brought the car back to Gary's and explained to them that the car was still overheating and I noticed none of the coolant had been spent from the reservoir. I made mention of this to Gary and he told me he would take it back and check it. I get a call a few hours later to say that it was trapped air that was causing the car to keep overheating. I take the car back and drive it for about a month during which the car would start to run hot but then would go back to normal. I thought I had to drive the air out of the line. I drive the car for about another month or so and it goes right back to the same problems as when I initially brought the car in. I brought the car in yesterday and explained to Gay that it was having the same problems and he said he would take a look at it, again. I called later on in the day and spoke with Gary and he informed me that it was going to cost an additional $650 to fix the problem, which actually wasn't the water pump, it was a cracked radiator. I explained to Gary that I had just brought the car in and paid $400 to have the car fixed and it was still not fixed and I didn't feel that paying an additional 600 was fair as I was assured the problem had been fixed previously. He said he would speak with Sean and they would give me a call later. I received a call from Gary later that day but I was not able to answer. I called in later and spoke with "Sean" and he said Gary had gone home for the day and he would get with him the following morning and then give me a call (today) I called this morning because i hadn't heard from Sean and he informed me that the best they could do was bring the price down to 560, no apologies for misdiagnosis or all the trouble this has caused me not to mention the previous work done that had no apparent use for my situation. He was pretty rude about the whole situation and gave me a "take-it-or-leave-it" kind of attitude. I'm sure he's not like that with most of their other patrons or they would not have been in business that long. Still, he was an a*shole about the whole situation and even tried to give me side-eye when I came to pick the car up along with his other scrubby looking co-worker. I will not be getting any further work done on my car by Gary's and i would urge you not to either, it's apparently a toss up on what they can and cannot fix, and in Texas that's one thing you definitely do not want to gamble with.

First time here to change brakes. They were awesome really quick they know what they doing plus excellent customer service ever . Recommend for everyone. And of course will be back here for anything in the future

They fixed the headache rack on mytruck. When I got home I see the toolbox was not straight, they didn't put the bolts back, so I drove all the way to my home with both the rack and toolbox not attached to the truck. Gary and his staff are honest,sincere and friendly. I have been a loyal customer for the last couple of years and all work done on my vehicle and my friends is excellent,they are fair and upfront in thier prices.l am now a life long customer and will suggest Gary Tire and Auto to everyone for their vehicle needs and repairs.

We bought a new fuel tank there 7 months ago. We noticed that there was a Dent and we were told we would receive a discount. We never received that discount. After a couple of months we noticed a small leak. Slowly that leak got worse. We returned and the tank sat there for 4 days was told it was repaired. Now they're blocking me and my drivers calls. All we wanted is are leak fixed.

Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Always kept us informed about what was happening. I believe they did forget to place a gasket when putting on the new fuel filter, but they were quick to admit their fault and get the problem resolved. Would definitely take my vehicle here in the future.

I have taken multiple vehicles to Gary's over the years, both foreign and domestic. Everything from regular service and a couple spray-in bed liners to a couple larger issues. Good work and a fair price.

This is a WARNING!Don t go to this place!Mechanic, Josh, is not certified and really doesn t know what he is doing!Mechanic told me that owner was already sued lots of times, but always win, because he is smart ! BE CAREFUL!!!Owner, Garry, is always in a bad mood and lie to you about the problems in your car!Like I said, this is a WARNING!DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!

A very trust worthy mechanic! They have been honest with me from day 1. They're not in it for the money. They truly are providing you the best options. Gary is a great guy!
