I recently took my car to IMS Mechanic Shop and was blown away by the exceptional service I received. From the moment I walked in, John was incredibly helpful and friendly, making sure all my concerns were addressed. He went above and beyond to explain the issues my car was facing and provided clear, concise solutions. The repairs were completed efficiently and my car has been running smoothly ever since. It's rare to find such reliable and customer-oriented service these days. New office, great space!! I highly recommend IMS Mechanic Shop to anyone in need of car repairs ask for John, and you won't be disappointed!

Best place to bring your car for small repairs!!! The joints that hold my car hood were bent, I bought it to IMS Jhon the owner was able to help me get it fix in less than 2 hours, at an amazing price! Thank you!!

If I could give zero thats what I would rate my experience at IMS. John was very rude and belligerent!! I took my s60 volvo to IMS and John said he could fix it for $3,000.00 dollars. Well, $5,000.00 dollars later. It was not fixed and it took the Volvo dealership 3 months to fix the damage that IMS s mechanic mess up!!Well , some people don t learn their lesson and i took my 2001 suburban to him for a simple blinker/ headlight( running lights) repair. I was thinking ok they should be able to do this. Well not so the blinker was repaired but now both running lights are not working ( one of them was working and now both are not working)!!When I confronted him to tell him I was not happy about the work , he proceeded to yell at me and belittled me. Now I have thick skin BUT I HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN SPOKEN TO BY ANYONE LIKE THE WAY JOHN SPOKE TO ME.Needless to say . I will never go back there again again. And warning to anyone that does.There are several complaints like mine CHECK OUT ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU HAVE THEM WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE.

IMS is the place to go. They do a proper diagnostic check to find out the root cause of the issue and provide a very fair repair solution.Definitely don't think twice and support this local small business.

I wish I could give zero star to this business. I only have complaint about the young owner. He doesn t know how to talk to customers and He was super rude. He tried to overcharge me for the work. I strongly suggest not to work with them.

John and his father at IMS have always been great to me. John is professional, and always keeps me updated on the status of whatever I need done to my car. I've come to IMS for the past two years for routine maintenance and bodywork. I've had many body panels painted and installed. The paint is perfectly matched, and the turn-around time is respectable. He always makes sure that you leave happy and the issues resolved. You won't regret coming and having him and his team fix the issues with your vehicle.

Great service and fast repairs! We had a 2008 Saturn Vue and the driver side window wouldn't go up. They had it up in 5 minutes, and a new motor installed in less than an hour. They also cleared the Check Engine light. Our inspection was overdue because of the check engine light.

John is a fair, honest and reliable small businessman but a better mechanic. IMS is a family shop and everybody is personable. They treat their customers like family. There's some reviews here that are frankly dishonest. John wouldn't be in business if he treated customers like that. Anybody can trust their vehicle repairs here. I've taken 3 vehicles here, spend 100s of dollars. And will continue to do so.

Kevin and the rest of his employees are very respectful and know exactly what they are doing. You can trust that they will get you the best price possible! Excellent service, quality work, fair pricing.My car was scratched up all on the driver's side pretty badly, they managed to get it repainted and fixed up to look better than it did before. It was super fast too. Would recommend to anyone!

A friends father recommend IMS to us and we called them after another mechanic gave us a quote that sounded way too high. We spoke with John and he went over the other mechanics suggestions with us. He agreed the other mechanics quote was too high and told us he could do it for much less but first would double check himself to ensure those parts actually needed replacing. He did all of the work he said he would do and even found something the other mechanic missed all at a way more affordable price. I think our little care should be good to go for another 100k + but if we need more repairs, I will be calling IMS first next time. so, i came here regardless of the reviews to see whats up. Apparently they don't really do tire work but they did check my tire for me. Had little interactions with the owner but he was nice. After he checked my tire he told me he normally charges 10 dollars to check it, but told me it was free and let me go. I had a good time even though it was brief, definitely will come back again. People are way too entitled these days.

I ve had some car issues and had taken my car to a shop earlier, but kept having the same reoccurring problems. I learned that the previous mechanics had messed up my car. By referral, I took my car here to John s auto shop. The owner and his son were super friendly and helpful. They were able to fix my car in a timely manner and were professional. Recently, I encountered an unfortunate problem with my car which I could not even go to work because my transmission fluid had completely leaked out. I called John and he was able to get someone out to tow my car to his body shop. I live on the opposite side of town and was SO incredibly grateful that he was able to get my car done in time so that I could go to work and not miss too many days.All in all, I have always had the best experience every time I bring my car in so I really do recommend this place. I have no idea where these negative reviews are coming from. We should be helping out our small local businesses, not trying to break them down over something trivial and getting people to leave bad reviews without even having their car personally done by this shop. I hope y all give this place a chance.

Only place I'll take my car for an oil change. Super fast, prices are transparent and fair. They never try and upsell me stuff I don't need. They also offer a cash/debit discount.Edited to add: they took the time to look up how to reset my maintenance reminder. Not a big thing, but it's nice that they took the time instead of just leaving it up to me to figure out (other places have done this in the past)Also ladies*: you will be treated fairly here. Not like a helpless female (TM) that doesn't know anything about cars.

So i took my truck there around 6 months ago and they replaced my compressor and a bunch of other things to get my 2001 f 350 blowing cold air again. They did an excellent job at a great price! after a few months its just quit working and could no longer get cold air. I took the truck back and come to find out something totally not related to the work they performed caused the issue. They had my truck back within 24 hrs. The staff is very helpful and kind. I will be taking my truck back and any other cars i need worked on. Thank you to the team at IMS for taking such great care of me.Service: Air conditioning

Kevin has a really fine attention to detail. I recently took my car in for body work to replace the fender and bumper and he did a great job. He even caught some other things behind the fender that also needed to be replaced due to damage and cleaned up under my hood for me. His prices are also very reasonable and he's really quick about communicating through phone calls. Would definitely recommend!

The owner and the staff are very friendly and very helpful. I always go to this shop if I have a problem with my car because I know I can trust them. I also get my inspections done here and they are done quickly and their prices are good. Highly recommend!

Absolutely the best mechanics that I know here in Houston. From simple things such as oil change and inspection, to the absolute unfortunate events that happened (rat stuck in hood, random oil blowout) Keith and the team went wayy above and beyond to help! Really surprised of how John handled my inquiry. He was so very upset and ticked off when I asked him to confirm a price he gave me earlier. I won't give him my business anymore because of his behavior. I think he needs to learn to calm down and treat everyone with patience. After all he has to deal with different customers and he will lose more clients if he keeps acting the same, given the fact that there are a lot of competitions with better deals than his shop
