Great service - everyone who works here is very nice and goes above and beyond. They had snacks and drinks while waiting which was nice for my kiddos. Most affordable car shop with excellent results in Spring Branch area

Had great service at Harold's car care. Needed to replace my break pads, rotors and oil pan. Car has been driving smoothly ever since. Thank you Gilbert and team. While you're waiting for your car there is a few restaurants in walking distance worth trying from Mexican, Thai and Vietnamese.

Had complete brakes done on all wheels. The manager had two guys working on it from about 1:15p to their closing time. Drove away to finish errands. One hour later, a bolt rattled in my front driver's side wheel and started hearing grinding from that wheel. Pull over and bottom of caliper is loose and grinding against the wheel. I will have to find out what bolt is missing and replace. Then I'll have to take to the tire shop to rebalance wheel because caliper knocked off balancing weights stuck to inside of the rim. Lost my trust in this place.

I always come to Harold's for my state inspection, no hassle and never have to wait long. It's not a fancy shop with tablets, free wifi and coffee, just solid no frills place to get things done.

My mother brought her Lexus here several years ago. If I remember correctly, they forgot to put oil (or did something to the car unknown to her) and the car needed a tow back to the shop to which they initially agreed to cover then changed their minds. Ruined her car after taking it there, so she donated it to church. Shady at best.

I failed my state inspection today because my head-pipe (the section between my catalytic converter and the point at which all the exhaust is pushed into one pipe or "header") fell out today. The guy giving the inspection almost couldn't believe it because THE PIPE WAS NEVER WELDED at either end. The inspector's words were specifically, "it looks like someone just shoved the pipe in."I visited Harold's Car Care today (4/4/2016) to speak with Gabriel, the manager. Gabriel, at 2 PM in the afternoon and according to his "bro" in the front office, was "somewhere" and he doesn't know when Gabriel will return. Meanwhile, the rest of the facility has no one working in it. After explaining the situation to his "bro" and that I needed to speak with Gabriel regarding the improperly installed piping, his "bro" told me to "get f**ked" and wasn't interested in doing what I paid them to do right the first time before turning and walking away from me.I've never encountered a more incompetent group of idiots. I would trust the quality of Mexican tap water before I ever trust these dolts again. Even if you have a beater vehicle, go somewhere else. These guys had my truck for FIVE DAYS to install a total of six feet of 2.50-inch pipe and connect it properly AND FAILED miserably.

DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS MECHANIC.I went there about two weeks about due to a clicking noise when I m driving. This mechanic wanted to remove my engine and replace it with a FORD engine. I drive a MAZDA SUV.This mechanic automatically assumed my engine was about to fail and wanted to charge $2,700 for an engine and $400 for Labor. Went to a different mechanic that same day and realized that the car just needed oil. These guys were trying to screw me over. DONT RECCOMEND AT ALL!Responding to response below:Did not get an offer to leave car. Or else I would. All I got was to sign a form with name and phone number and to write Engine on the problem section. My car was looked at for maybe 10 minutes. Mind you, there was NO Customers there. No wait, no line. The mechanic who properly looked at my car stated that the car was not throughly looked at your mechanic shop. WILL NOT RETURN OR REFER CUSTOMERS.

DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!The's guys totally messed up my SUV.I took it in for a 3 day job it was over a week and I got it back with my airbag light on my ABS light is ON my dashboard is BROKE my stereo is NOT working,and my air suspension is not working.Everthing worked fine with the exception of the HEATER CORE.I brought it to the managers attention and he said he fixed the heater core and he wasn't worried about anything else.Of course I called the police to make a report of all the damages to my vehicle and then the manager asked the police to remove me for trespassing.So the officer and I had to leave the property to do a police report.I would advise ANYONE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.Also manager you should not drink on the job when you give someone back their car in worse condition than when they brought it to you.and boss man I live in the neighborhood and I will tell EVERYONE who has car trouble to avoid this place like the plauge.This was the WORST experiance of my life dealing with a car repair shop.Now I'm out $800 bucks and I have four lights on my dash that won't go away and my air susspension won't let me drive because they FAILED to put my dash and EVRYTHING BEHIND the dash back together.Now I have to go pay another $800 to a grand to have another car repair shop tear out my dash again to fix what these drunk morons did to my car.Any one know a good lawyer on "CRIMINAL MISCHIEF".Thats what the police wrote on the police report.NEVER AGAIN!! I was about to post a video on YouTube about all the lights on my dash and my back heater and A/C that is not working now or the stereo radio or my DASH LIGHTS not working my blinkers are not working my CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is on!When I take it to an ASC certified mechanic I will get an invoice of EVERYTHING HAROLDS car repair did NOT connect.
