The ultimate solution for any mechanical issues your vehicle might face. The hours are short but this should be your sign to stop what you are doing and CALL them to set up an appointment. The work provided by Jim is exceptional. Mrs. Ronda is the glue to the foundation. Do not dread taking your vehicle to a mechanic any longer, as Hare Repair has you covered with honesty and integrity.

This 10 star shop was absolutely amazing. They went beyond to service my car and I really enjoyed the waiting room and colorful mural wall. They even repaired a wiper issue that another mechanic wouldn t touch. There s absolutely no substitute for experience A+++++++++ such a great shop!

Honest work and transparent business. I had a coolant leak and he showed me exactly where it was leaking before letting me decide to fix it. Reasonable pricing and I will be coming back next time!

I dread trying to find a new place to get my car serviced. A quote doesn't always mean anything. Sometimes there are hidden charges. And finding a new place to get vehicle services as a woman is worse. If you know, you know.I chose Hare Repair based on their great reviews. I called to make an appointment and they are busy. You can't just pop in without notice and have your vehicle serviced. That is another good sign.First of all, Rhonda is the main point of contact before service (quotes, scheduling, etc.). She is a dream. She is responsive, nice, funny, understanding and knowledgeable.When I arrived the morning of my appointment, Rhonda was not in yet. No problem. Other people were there. I was greeted by my name, having never been there before. (I wish I had gotten his name. Also very nice and personable.). The gentleman who greeted me asked what I needed. I explained that I needed brakes work but I wasn't sure if I needed front, back or both. I added that I am getting ready to make a road trip through several different states and I want to make sure that my car is ship-shape. It ended up being a good thing that I mentioned that. Back to that later.I dropped off my car when they opened, 7am. I received a call from Hare Repair at 7:50am that informed me that I need front brakes and he gave me a price LESS than what I was originally quoted. Not a lot less, but less. How often does that happen? Great! I received a call around 10:15am informing me that my car was ready and they replaced a couple of external bulbs that were out. This is where it goes back to me mentioning the road trip. When I picked up my car Rhonda said, "You don't want any lights out on a road trip." No, they did not call me to ask if they could replace the bulbs at a cost. But, I appreciate that they were thinking of ME while out on my road trip. Yes, that is a little more money that they made but I feel that is worth it for safety and peace of mind. Honestly, I know vehicle maintenance basics, but they could have told me that I needed both front and rear brakes and I would not have known differently.I was a little torn between 4 or 5 stars. The ONLY reason I considered 4 stars is their business hours. I repeatedly missed opportunities to schedule my service because they close at 2pm/3pm. However, I am so very happy with the people and the service that I must give them 5 stars. I will definitely be a long term patron.

My family has been coming to Hare Repair for nearly 40 years. They ve always taken excellent care of our older vehicles. We recommend them frequently to friends and family. If they can t fix it, they know someone who can.

Everytime I come in here with my elderly, 250,000 mile car I tell Jim I'm fixing to get rid of it and buy a new Tahoe, and every time he convinces me otherwise (much to my wife's chagrin, Jim would also not approve of me ignoring my wife but we won't tell him that). At this point it has become an experiment in how long they can keep it going. Which appears to be forever given the quality of service and value they provide.Just an extraordinary, well run, customer focused small business. I'll be a customer forever. Jim and Rhonda are the best. Great work, fair prices, and no BS or sellups.

They're nice and honest people. Could not fix what happened to my shifted running board, but they said it's a bit out of their comfort, and they'd rather refer out to a trusted body shop instead of trying to fix it themselves and potentially damaging my car, which I appreciate.

They have worked on all my cars for over 20 years. Honest and they will be candid on whether or not you actually need to fix something immediately or it is something that can wait to be fixed. Great waiting area. Good people. Decent prices.

Rhonda, Jim and Ruben were very helpful!After submitting a contact request, Jim reached out to have me bring in my vehicle to check it out. Upon arrival, the staff was very kind. My car decided it no longer wanted the make the rattling noise lol, but regardless Ruben still took the time and effort to check for the noise. He drove it around the block to see if my car would make noise. Nothing. In the meanwhile, Ruben informed me of all the other services they offered. I look forward to bringing my vehicle in the near future. I definitely recommend this place. Thank you all!

We've been taking our cars here for over 30 years! The service is still the same as day 1. Reputable, honest, not a B.S. garage that will try to sell you on repairs you don't need. We wouldn't take our vehicles any place else

Great value! Adequate, experienced and honest mechanics, friendly service.Helped me with the diagnostic so I was able to replace faulty module myself and save $$. Also fixed my suspension. Thank y'all so much!! My car had been making a rattling noise and other mechanics I visited quoted $1300 for the repair. My uncle recommended this place and they located the issue so quickly--turns out it was just a piece that needed tightening! I definitely will be visiting again for future repairs/ maintenance. Appreciate the honesty and how they walked me through each step including taking me back and showing me what exactly caused the rattle.

It's never fun when your car breaks down while out of town, especially in a big city like Houston where there are tons of auto shops to choose from, and not knowing which are honest and reputable. A thorough search on the Internet led me to Hare Repair, and I'm incredibly thankful I ended up here.When trying to get it there Monday morning, my 4Runner completely died on me and had to get it towed to the shop. As soon as I stepped out of the tow truck, Jim was already outside telling me where we could put it and asking what was wrong. I left it with him for the day and it turns out it was just the alternator that had died. Replaced with a rebuilt OEM part and decided to put a new belt on it too just to be safe. Fair, straight price.I also had them inspect the entire vehicle to find out what else may be wrong, and he confirmed what another shop had told me, and also pointed out something new I didn't know before to have checked out once I got back home to Austin.Jim, Rhonda, Ruben - all of you were so kind and polite and great to interact with. You took all my stress away and got me driving again, and for that I thank you sincerely! Me and my family are safe and sound back in Austin thanks to you.For anybody reading this in the Houston area - this is your place. Can definitely confirm all the positive reviews for this place are for good reason!

Unfortunately they don't work on Audi's but they were nice enough to give me a recommendation and I'm taking my car there. Would've loved to work with them and will be sending people to Hare in the future.

We ve been going here for years and it s always wonderful. Jim really takes care of you and does everything he can to help. I recently had to replace my fuel pump, he said he would be charging me $700. It hurt to hear that but looking up the part alone it would have been more than $900! My car has never had a problem leaving here.

These guys are great. This is my first time at this shop. I ended up needing framework done, but Jim even called another shop that he trusted so that I could go there. Once I came back, they had me all fixed up (and I mean it was a LOT to fix) within 3 days of me dropping the car off. Rhonda is so pleasant and Jim is a real straight-shooter. I couldn't be happier with their service and I will recommend them to anyone I encounter.

Jim and Rhonda have been amazing over the last few years. They are incredibly honest about what work you need done. Their prices are completely reasonable and cheaper than any other places I have gotten quotes (sometimes by hundreds of dollars). Look up fair value for the work you need done for your car and they will be in the lower end of estimates. Definitely highly recommended!

It doesn t get better than this especially for females. We all tread going to the mechanic for many reasons but here you will get honesty even if it doesn t result in a paid service to Hare Repair/ I can t thank these good people enough for taking their time to diagnose my car and make me feel confident about their service.Most times you end up with a laugh as well- great folks!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Hare Repair helped me out when I had my catalytic converter stolen from my car. I did not actually use this store for a repair, but I did call them multiple times to compare their prices and services to another store. Every time I called someone picked up the phone and was eager to help and answer all my odd questions. Really nice people who were really knowledgeable. I ended up selling my car as a complete salvage, but Hare Repair helped me know I have evaluated all options before making a decision.

We've brought all our vehicles to Hare Repair and we have had great service with every repair. We've always dealt with Jim but I'm sure all the other service folks are great as well. He will be direct with you...he'll tell you how much estimated parts and labor to expect, will call you if they see anything of concern, and if they're busy he will tell you and not give you false expectations. We like these guys, recommend them to our friends. Coming from a family full of mechanics and motor heads and living so far away from them, I'm glad that I know of a repair shop that is nearby and trustworthy.

For more than 30 years this is where I have taken my vehicles for service and repair. I have dealt with them hundreds of times. In all that time I have never known them to be anything but competent, honest, courteous, and a pleasure to deal with. These are good people and, together, they have created an exceptional small business. Giving them the highest recommendation is very easy for me to do.

The brakes on my car were making squeeky sounds, so I decided to get them checked out. After reading horror stories about other places such as Just Brakes, I decided to drive all the way down to Hare Repair. I live in the Southeast area of Houston, so it was a good 40 minute drive. I was greeted by the guys as soon as I got there. They were very friendly and made me feel at home.I was expecting to pay at least $200 (and that's being optimistic) for the brake services and I brought some books with me, anticipating that it would take a few hours. Fortunately, I was wrong. Jim showed me how the brakes work and told me that my brakes were fine. The only things he could find were some rust and dirt, so they removed that for me, cleaned up the brake plates and rotors, and only charged $50 for their services. Jim even jokingly said "sorry we couldn't take more money from you". Everything was done in 30 minutes.All in all, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend you to take your car there if you have any problems. These guys are honest and will not try to rip you off. They saved me a bunch of money and definitely made my day.

Definitely recommend this place. Jim is a great guy. Very friendly service, accommodating, reasonable prices, and most importantly...HONEST. He will not sell you anything you don't need and he will be straight with you. He will call you before performing any work and explain exactly what is going on. Will not take my car anywhere else while I am in Houston.I had my struts replaced on my car by another mechanic shop 6 months ago and I was hearing a popping noise when turning the wheel. He checked it out and found that it was the strut mounts that were seizing up. Instead of doing the work himself, he suggested to go back to the place I got the work done to see if they would warrantee the work! This guy is very honest and is not there to scam you like many other shops!

I send everyone I know to Jim at Hare Repair! Seriously, I have referred at least 5 people here plus ALL my girlfriends. They are thorough, honest, and affordably priced. Jim tells it like it is and they won't try to sell you unnecessary repairs or maintenance. Don't hesitate to use this shop, it's the best and you won't be disappointed or ripped off!

I went to Hare Repair due to a recommendation. I had gone to another mechanic center and they had told me I needed new struts. They were going to charge me $1,000+. I went to this place for a second opinion and they told me I did not need new struts and that my car is fine. I'm definitely going back to them and I will be recommending them to my coworkers and relatives. The front desk lady was very helpful and Jim is very professional and transparent. Thank you!

Been here twice, first time to get my brakes fixed, second to get all 4 of my engine mounts replaced along with fixing an oil and power steering leak. Very honest and very good mechanics. Would recommend these guys to everyone in a heartbeat!

Although I often use Google and Yelp to find well rated businesses, I never post any ratings or reviews of my experiences them. However, after speaking with Jim from Hare Repair, I knew I had to give credit and recognition for his honesty and guidance and write a review on Hare Repair. After explaining my vehicles' symptoms and my best efforts to troubleshoot them, Jim gave me an honesty answer that saved me hundreds of dollars on repairs. Other mechanics I spoke to before Jim quoted the repair cost at hundreds and hundreds of dollars. After speaking with Jim, it became obvious those other mechanics were just trying to swindle me for every little penny.I highly recommend speaking with Jim and telling him what symptoms or problems your vehicle is experiencing, because it could save you hundreds on unnecessary repairs!

I had a timing belt snap. They repaired my car ultra fast, and gave me the no frills, (not recommended) cheap price if I was on a low budget, and they gave me the complete preventative maintenance price if I could afford to change the water pump, seals, etc. Haven't seen many mechanics do that. They were very helpful. Friendly. Jim is the best
