People stay away from this shop my engine was rebuilt with this shop about a year ago. They only rebuilt the engine and a different shop installed it but we couldn t get it to work right. It always seemed to have a blow by. The shop doing the installment tried talking to Robert owner and he didn t want to help. We finally decided to open the engine and the engine was never worked on like they said and a lot of parts weren t even changed. Plus the rings they installed on the pistons were the wrong ones. I paid over $8,000 for this built and it is very disappointing that after we opened the engine and find that they didn t do what we had agreed on. Truck never made it out of the shop. Engine was not even ran 5 miles.It s a waste now.

Had motor rebuilt little over a year and half ago.gulftech said motor was rebuilt and new pistons installed. Motor had piston rod knocking. New repair shop said new pistons never installed.they gulftech also charged me more money during rebuilt. These people are dishonest.never take you car to these people .they will take you for a ride. And it wont be fun 1 rating

Took my block to have them bore the cylinders and balance the rotating assembly. Only after I threatened to pick my stuff up because they were taking so long did it finally get done. I go to pay for it and was told you should have known that price was too low. He s (the guy that wrote up the quote) new here. Charged me $150 more.The engine never ran right. Took it back apart after around 100 miles and found the pistons scored and my new crankshaft damaged. I found the piston clearance was only .0025 when it should have been .004.I didn t take my damaged parts back to them because I should have know better and measured everything before I put it together. It s a half ass operation. I got burned and should have done my research.

Took for an engine repair and it took months to get it back even after I paid for it fully. They kept on adding parts that needed to be bought price jumped high once it was completed. First oil change was missing oil, 2nd oil change missing more oil, third oil change at 3000 miles I pulled 2 quarts of a 6 quart capacity.Notified them at the second oil change they did a quick look and said it was just a breather issue. After driving it, it was loosing 1 quart of oil about every 250 miles along with signs of oil coming from tail pipe. Took it back where it sat about 8 months sitting in the sun, after calling and calling they said it was ready. Picked it up, same issue, didn t look like anything was done... brought it back. They said they had other cars to fix... but they ll go back an look at it, sat about almost a year again... got it back after asking about it... same issue just now my headliner is now hanging, taillights are cracked and weatherized and the hood of the truck looks dull. I didn t say anything about cosmetic, happy to get my truck back, but same problem persists... just today, new problem, water in the oil...It s been in there hands for about 2 years... paid thousands... and I still have a broken engine.

This company is a complete scam show!! Stay away from them! Keep your money and try someone else... Had an engine replacement or shall I say paid for a complete engine rebuild close to 6000. Twice the original estimate. Now engine seizure proves they stole my engine and replaced it with a junkyard engine.. casting numbers are NOT from my truck. These guys deserve a nice set of silver bracelets

If I could give negative stars I would. First they said rebuilding my engine would take 2 weeks tops....it took them a month. I paid everything in full and my vehicle should be covered with warranty for 3yrs/36k miles. I get a letter in the mail saying I have a balance due of 426.00 which is bs!!! These are the most ridiculous people I've ever dealt with, they're con artists. Youre better off paying a little bit more going somewhere else because in the long run they'll try to squeeze more out of you. And they're crazy if they think ill be paying my "balance" ill send them to court if I have to.

After being told differently by another shop, I brought in a Detroit Diesel head to get second opinion. Sure enough they pressure tested and magnafluxed it. Shaved it just a hair and didn t change the springs or valves because they were still ok. Saved a lot of money because they do excellent work and fixed what needs to be fixed. Well worth my time , highly recommended

I originally went to a boat shop to get some work on my Inboard engine. They were trying to steal the pants off of me. I ended up bringing my exhaust manifold here so they can remove a rusted elbow off of the manifold. They really know what they are doing there. The owner is a great guy and he barely charged me. It is nice to know that there are honest people out there. I plan on bringing my Jetski is there in the future. Thank you so much!

Do not let these people work on anything as it will be missing parts, covers and brackets when you get it back. Gave them an engine to rebuild, took them a year to get it running and the engine gave out because bolts were missing, bolts over tightened, bolts stripped out , brackets missing, covers etc.... The vehicle never ran for longer than one week at any time after they worked on it, had to take to two other mechanics to get the real scoop and even then with the right information they could not fix it correctly. Also when a mechanic asks you to sign an arbitration clause, be very careful. Not sure how they stay in business!

My boyfriend brought my car here after it stalled out. These guys did a great job fixing it and got me back on the road quickly. My boyfriend dealt with them and says that they knew what they were talking about and explained everything very clearly. Definitely coming back if I need a mechanic!

Please find another Engine Shop this place Is a rip off. The work is very sloppy and the engine is not working After ayear find anothershp that did excellent work and fix the problem dealing with the owner a year. I had to find a shop that knew what it was doing.

WARNING!!!If only there was a zero star rating. Take a look at the video on youtubeThese guys are crooks. Colby and Britney are there employee. five stars that bull. Look at there profile. Propaganda If you take your car to these jokers expect more then a nightmare. $5400 and counting. They don't follow warranty job. They will also damage other parts of your car so the dumb or unknowing will get hosed.

I have had Excellent work done on a multitude of Engines & Heads. The service & quality of work was top notch. They were always within the time frame that was stated & the prices were better than other shops. I will take all my Machine work to them....

As a shop owner we have used this engine rebuilder for several years, but the last couple of years their quality has suffered tremendously. Case in point, had a 2001 4.7 rebuilt, a year ago, it was always losing water but could never find the source, right after a year was up the motor blew, called up had them rebuild it again(first mistake) after 6 weeks we get it back and install it. Ran like crap! blowing blue smoke out the tailpipe, after two weeks this motor also blew up, so again back to them it went (second mistake) after another six weeks we get it back, this time the front of the motor is making a bad rattling noise, turns out to be the secondary timing chain, called them up again to complain and was told that we damaged the chain by possibly turning the motor backwards when installing the torque convertor, REALLY I have two GOLD ASE certified mechanics on staff with 30+ years of experience under their belts each. Oh and BTW this motor was for my WIFES car, talk about a pissed off woman that has no wheels for the better part of six months. SO do yourself a favor go somewhere else!!

Well after viewing all of the negative feedback that these guys had I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt sure thing they didn't hesitate to prove me wrong for my decision.. please listen to all of the people giving feedback to these guys... I would say one of the worst services that I have ever had.. drop my engine a month ago just pick it up in pieces today nothing done to it!!! these guys would look you straight in the eye and tell you that they will take care of it,and send you home thinking you will ever receive a call back.. please look for alternative automotive shop it might save you a lot of time and money!!!

I have never used them but this shop sounds awful and the owner sounds like a jerk, I suggest using scroggins machine shop by McGowen and 59. Tom, Bobby and the machine God Butch are probably the most reliable machine shop with honest pricing unlike these monkeys.

At my sons recommendation I took my car to GulfTech. I was very pleased with the way I was treated and the quick service. They had me back on the road in just a couple of days and my car ran like new. Thanks, Robert!

I took my Chevy 350 numbers matching small block to be overhauled ( removed / replaced ) and the job was beyond expectations !My C3 Corvette now has aluminum head, two 4 barrel carburetors , a mild cam , Rhoads lifters and hauls ass .....

p.s the people with five stars are the workers smh.I wish i can rate this at a -10 but this place is a total ripoff they clamed that they couldnt find a motor for my 1976 buick and that they would have to totally rebuild it and charged me $4800 they didnt put a new oil pump or lifters when they put the cam in it smh now i have oil leaks out the a** i dont drive it much but it took me 3 times to take it in for a oil leak and it keeps leaking ive also found a few bolts missing smh do not take your car or truck to this place avoid it at all cost

they suposively fixed my engine but then after my mechanic installed it back in they didnt finish with motor when they put it back together and didnt feel the need to go back and fix the problem they created.I was told by two different mechanics with years of experience that they at this shop needed to fix the problem they created..I reported them to the BBB.SO this doesnt happen to someone else.

worst shop ever they have over 15 bad reviews but i didn't know that until they finish the job on my car not only they over charged me 2200 over the price that they gave me but i notice that bolts where missing on the ac bracket i had oil leaks damage my fan did not want to pay for it never will i take my car to this place they make it seem like they will do their best to help you but trust they only want your money they where rated a F by the BBB don't believe me check for yourself heck if i could rate it it wouldn't be one star -5
