I've been a Firestone customer for the better part of the last 15 years and after today's experience, that run is likely over. I came in to the location at Westheimer and Fondren asking just for air in my tires. I did ask them to let me know if the tires needed to be replaced (tires I had bought at Firestone). I assumed I was going to get a visual inspection and some air. These two tasks took about an hour and a half and I was charged $10 for something that probably took all of 5 minutes. The cashier said they have to bring it back to do an inspection and that was the reason for the charge. There was no manager on duty that I could speak with to personally record this complaint. In fairness, the cashier did say that it might take a bit as there were about 2 other clients, but I've gone to many car shops around the city and the time to get air is never an hour and a half. Terrible service and a slap in the face with that unnecessary charge. I have to assume this is a way to dupe customers. I will not be back, and the $400 I will spend to replace the tires will not be spent here.

I had an appointment for at 9:00am just to check the condition of a tire that was loosing air. It took about 2 hours for them to move the car from the parking lot to the inspection area. Seriously? Workers pretending to be busy while none was actually doing nothing. Two hours just to say that the tires are not repairable?? Never coming back to this place

I recently visited the Firestone location on Westheimer, and I am extremely pleased with the service. The team there was not only polite and professional but also exceptionally helpful and accommodating. They thoroughly checked my vehicle during the inspection, provided valuable recommendations, and I ended up purchasing four tires and opting for a brake flush. I highly recommend their services; they truly went above and beyond.

I've been here a few times. I've always had decent service but the last time I went will definitely be my last. My wife and I both took our vehicles in mine first took about an hour for them to do an oil change. It's a 2016 highlander plug and filter very easy to access. I was doing my oil change at home and noticed they glued my bolt on It's definitely super glue not thread locker. Don't know why they did it, I've always been polite when in there so no reason for them to mess with me. When they called me I took my wife's truck to swap with mine. She's got a 2012 tundra bolt is easy to get to but the filter is above a skid plate which I've always had to take off to get to the filter. Within ten to fifteen minutes of dropping it off they called and said it was finished and ready to be picked up. I was out running errands so we showed up a couple hours after they called. When we were pulling up they were driving my wife's truck into the shop. I asked if it was ready and they said it was, when I asked why they were pulling it in the guy said he didn't know but he would find out. They immediately pulled it around and said they were making sure it was good. Not sure what that ment so I pulled the dipstick to check oil color it was slightly darker but mostly transparent. The oil level was a bit high on dipstick but I was also on a slight slope. Today I changed her oil at the house and from the looks of it they definitely left the filter in from 3 oil changes ago from when I changed it myself last. Also after I finished changing my oil I poured the old oil back into the bottles I used for the change but still had oil left over in the drain pan. Her truck is the 4.6L engine and calls for 7.9 quarts. I ended up using all 8 quarts anyways. I had about 3/4 of a quart left in the drain pan after I finished filling all the bottles brim full. Would say use this location with caution and inspect your vehicle closely after they do any service work.

Slow sat there for over 5hrs for my car get jacked up for 2 mins while they fiddle with the tires and told me they couldn't look at the car for real because it's an EV.And they would not provide a receipt or paperwork stating that I brung the car in for service.Would not recommend, Firestone will definitely have to depend on fleet contracts in order to stay in business of all locations work like this one.

A mechanic refused to let my car go without changing the windshield wipers because they were apparently so bad. I just agreed to let them change them to get the pestering over with. then the windshield wiper fell off at an intersection the first time I turned my wipers on.Called this shop (the same one I got the windshield wipers at) about the issue and was told to come in for a replacement. I went in and they told me they didn t know what I was talking about. Just all around bad experience for the high price you re paying

Worst place to take your care if you happen to have an issue with your tires. For a flat tire I was just told to leave the car overnight because of a light rain and wind outside. They didn t even bother even going outside to check on my tires. I came to the location on Voss and was service right away. The attendant didn t even mind going outside on the rain to try to put air on the tire and then replace the tire. This location is the last time I ll stop by two years ago took them 5 hours to fix a flat they always have and excuse or issue when you take your car there. If they don t want to work I don t understand why don t close the location this employees are ruining the Firestone name. Worst place don t even bother going there they are completely lazy lazy people Come to the Voss location they will help you right away without you leaving your car overnight to fix a flat.

I have been going to Firestone for about 20 years I get my oil changes every 3 months. I recently had a bad experience with them concerning some work needed on my car I trusted them to be fair and let me know what was most important to fix. I had my oil can light come on so I asked them to see what was wrong while I got my regular oil change they said it was a malfunction nothing was wrong. Well later my engine started to shake and jerk so I took it in the oil can needed replacing which was $700 but earlier when I asked them they told me it was nothing wrong and suggested I get my shocks done which was 1,000. That shocks was unnecessary the most important thing was the oil can I m sure my engine is damaged now because I drove it for months getting oil changes. I still had to go back to do work on the new oil can and they tried to get me to spend another $300 on something else at that point I was highly upset I ve spent 1700 already 1,000 on something I didn t really need I m gonna get another car next year because this is expensive all these repairs and I can t trust the mechanic's to be fair all that money I m indebted to pay back I m working class just like them I live pay check to pay check to I won t be going back to this shop anymore and I m gonna find another company altogether. Very disappointed in how everything was handled.

The service I received was impeccable. I received a phone call about pricing and future repair recommendations. Coupons were instantly applied! I plan to take my car there from now on for service!

They don't know how to fix, expensive, no responsibility, money is lost, I don't want to hurt anyone, because I lost a lot of money 1,5k to fix code 0498 but my car can not be fixed, I bring back but you told me sell it without fixing again, this is not profestional. I can not sleep because lost money. Now my car can not pass inspection, park in garage, I lost money but my can can not run, if you can not fix problem you shouldn t charge money.

Made an appointment for an oil change at a set time. Arrived on time for the appointment. Was not greeted or acknowledged for thirty minutes before I left. Egregious neglect of customer service.

***Update*** Firestone removed my first edit of my review! After my experience at fire stone, I brought my vehicle to another shop. Long story short The $800 or so that I would have spent on a leak that was not in the condenser was saved, turns out the leak was from and O-ring that was in the line connected to the condenser. But fire stone was adamant about what they thought they found and wanted to replace the condenser entirely. I saved over $600 by going somewhere else! Let this be a listen to those who are thinking about going there Please don t, save your time and your money! Lesley, since I reported this and spoke to the area manager named court about this earlier, I called him back to let him know to withdraw the claim that he was supposed to submit for a third-party to come out and diagnose, and he just said OK about the whole situation when I explain to him that the diagnosis was wrong and the adamancy about requiring almost $800 to replace a condenser that was not damaged! In short, he just didn t care, and I think that is unfortunate terrible businesses hire terrible people!BEWARE!!I brought my vehicle in for an AC check because the air was blowing decent, but could have been colder. However, after the AC check, the air through the vents was blowing hot. I was told that I had a leak in the condenser which he showed me, but how do I know that that leak was there before they did their AC check? The AC had not blown hot like that over the last couple of months, so something was done During that AC check that perhaps caused that leak but I can t say. The store manager just referred to the notes that or put in so I spoke to the area manager and he just did the same thing. I don t think it was a coincidence that the Freon just all leaked out on the same day that I went for an AC Check. Something happened there and they are not willing to take accountability for it. In addition to that when I brought my truck in last summer for a check, they found a leak in the line that I had replaced elsewhere but when I went to pick the truck up, one person told me it was repaired and complete it, and proceeded to charge me almost $700 When I went out to my truck to start it, the air was blowing hot and it had not been repaired so I had to go back inside and tell them and that s when they found that there was a miscommunication between two employees. I thought it was quite distasteful for one employee to just go ahead and proceed to charge me almost $700 without annoying, but it had not been repaired. So after today s experience, the area manager, whose name is court said that he would refer it to claims and the claims department send a third-party out to essentially take a look at the vehicle, and compare to the notes that fire stone with give them on what was And ultimately deny the claim anyway. Needless to say, I will NEVER be going back to firestone at any location again! Terrible service, no accountability and likely a scam operation!Service: Air conditioning

Went to a Westheimer location to get my headlight high beam and sidemarker light replaced. The store manager Luke checked me and said he would have to look at it before he can give me a quote. Sergio, one of the staff returned to tell me the quote of $380 something dollars to replace the two headlight low beam and high beam. I came in for only the high beam and the side marker light. He was not aware of the side marker, light not working. Long story short after Mr. Sergio told me to cop a squat. I told him I was uncomfortable with the service, the quote, the miscommunication about which headlight works and don t work.I went to the fire stone on DairyAshford and Westheimer. Mr. Cory looked at the problem. He fix my headlights and charge me only 113.So for future reference, I recommend the fire stone on dairy Ashford and Westheimer. Thank you guys.

This is the worst Firestone store I have ever been to. They always forget to put the next scheduled service sticker on my car. I even called them ahead to remind them, but still, they didn't do it. My wife had to drive back and ask them in person to put it on.My worst experience was, they left a dirty filter in my car. It's been almost a year since I did the oil change, and I just found out today. I was changing oil at Honda dealership, the mechanic told me there was a dirty filter stuck somewhere close to the new filter. He told me it was very dangerous. So, if you want to live longer, stay away from this place.

This place over all is a scam. Last year I git an estimate for to get all new brakes on my car. The quoted me something like 3500. I went to Brake check and they did all new brakes and pads for around 800. Then yesterday I came for an oil change and tire rotation. I asked if the could check my alternator or starter cause I was having problems. I was told my battery was bad and they couldn't work on my car without a new battery. So I got the new battery and other services. I wake up today and it's still the same car not starting. I'm very frustrated and I'm missing work. They over charge and don't actually know what they're doing. Also I'm sure they stole something out of my car. I can't say what is was cause it's illegal but they know.

I never wanted to step foot back inside of another Firestone due to issues I've had at the Dairy Ashford location. However, yesterday I had no choice because I needed to get my inspection done and windshield wipers replaced. I went to the Westheimer location and I'm glad I did. Superior service and great customer service. I was in and out in not time. Great job guys!!!

These guys are beyond greedy and lack in customer service skills big time. I went in to see if I could get my front brakes replaced (front brakes only) I didn t want an inspection or anything else, simply my brakes replaced. The guy at the front desk quoted me $506! $506 for two brake pads! Not only that, but the entire time I was getting the quote the other staff members were standing right beside him talking extremely loud and discussing personal matters. Extremely unprofessional. I m not some one who gets mad about things like this, but there is a time and place for personal conversations. Doing them out loud in front of customers is definitely not professional at all. This was my last straw with them, there are plenty of better shops in the area who charge less and actually care.Service: Brakes

Josh exemplifies what excellent customer service looks like! Any questions or concerns I had he was on it. I noticed that when customers come in they asked for him specifically or when they called the store they asked to speak to Josh. There s a reason why everyone gravitates towards him.

Estimate doubled $300 extra 4 days later by manager Jessi, on repair day! This location gave me estimate last week after I waited inside for over 3 hrs hoping to finish a 2 hrs labor work but he said he can't finish today and I need to come back next week. This week on repair day manager Jessi told me price will be extra $300 to previous estimate. I was dumbfounded by his approach and I said even expensive dealership estimate was $250 lower than this amount, besides, you need to honor your estimate. Manager Jessi said no. I said but I burned up several days and waited for over 3hrs. I don't want anything additional to what dealership has already estimated please honor your estimate now ?? Manager Jessi no it will be $300 more than previous estimate. I'd stay far away from this location, this Jessi guy is a joke, if he can do that to me he may very well do that to you. Watch your pocket, if you see Jessi. He will have no problem to dishonor your estimate and waste your time, money and energy with ease and with a smile on his face. What a manager who knows nothing about customer service and obviously not honoring his stores estimates. Good luck guys!

Stay away from this Firestone.Used to be nicely managed location. Now it is run by incompetent managers and most of the workers just lie and have poor work ethics.Read the 1 star reviews. Most of those reviews is what I experienced too.

Worst customer service ever! I walked in and a employee was watching tv. I stood at the counter for 5 min before I was acknowledged. The tv guy didn t even speak. Hello, good day, one moment we will be right with you. NOTHING! When tv guy finally got up to get someone that guy was just as bad. No smile no how s your day. This type of engagement matters! I didn t feel comfortable so I left. I came for a service so I should receive good service as well as my car. They act like they don t care about their job. If that s the expression you re giving why would I want you working on my car? If you don t care about me as a customer you re not going to care about my car. Cars are expensive, we all know this! So give good customer service along with your car service! Regardless if a customer has a coupon, discount, BOGO, it shouldn t matter!

According to the ratings and comments, this location is hit or miss. I usually just come in for an oil change (with an appointment scheduled the day before)to this location and they are always quick and thorough.Today was no exception.I needed an alignment, front and rear brakes, 100k mile tune-up and tires. Without getting into all of the details, these folks did a great job in less than a day and at a price that was very competitive.Special shout-out to Chris for spotting a warranty issue with my old tires and doing everything he could to get me taken care of.And one last thing I will add for anyone that has had a bad experience here is, practice patience and make appointments. These guys/gals are working very hard to juggle the onslaught of unhappy customers that are having a bad car day. Not to mention the heat and physical wear and tear on a person it takes to repair and service vehicles!

DO NOT GO TO THIS TIRE REPAIR SHOP!!!Went into to change a flat tire, they told me that it needed to be replaced and the two rear tires needed to be changed because they were bald. They went on and on about how it wasn t safe for me to drive with the bald tired and that if I changed one then I would have to change the others.I said fine and told them to replace all three but then they said that they couldn t do it and just decided to replace one because they wanted to close on time instead of taking the time to help a customer in need.I understand wanting to go home but it s not good customer service to leave a customer in need hanging and it wasn t as if I wasn t willing to pay because I was willing to pay whatever price needed after they went on and on about how I could wreck my car with the tires that I presently had but so that they could go home on time they decided to just change one and wish me luck. What would have happened if I got my car wrecked and couldn t make it home or worse? They were incredibly callous and uncaring, which surprising, given the fact that they seemed to care only 15 MINUTES EARLIER when they wanted my money!!

Went there for a flat tire that can be patched, after 3 hours, they told it had to be completed changed. If I went to another tire shop, they would've patched it just fine since it was just damage on the trend of the tire and not the sides. Just felt scammed but already too late to go to another shop since I waited for 3 hours. 1 star for making my car drivable.

Paul was an excellent mechanic that assisted me quickly after my gear shift cable broke after going to the movies. He also replaced my coolant hoses as they were leaking and now my car runs smoother than it has in quite some time. Thanks so much Paul!

After working a 10 hr shift, I stopped by Firestone for a lifetime alignment and multipoint inspection. When I arrived I was greeted professionally by Kris. He gave me clear information about the car services , we agreed to the work and the crew at Firestone got my car up quick and I was out the door in no time. Thank you guys for making my car ride smoother and have better fuel efficiency. See y all nest time.

Horrible horrible customer service. I showed up an entire hour before they closed and the guy wouldn't look at my tire. Said I needed to schedule service because it could be something other than a nail. I was even willing to buy new tires. Went around the corner to some tire shop, the lady took out the nail and fixed it in minutes for $15. Don't come here. They're lazy and will try to upsell you on something.

I called this location to see if they could do a state inspection. The nice woman on the phone told me that they only had one car in front of me and that if I came in it would be about 30 minutes. I was only a few minutes down the road so I promptly arrived about five minutes later. The woman on the phone was the one that was at the counter and she took my keys and told me it would be 30 minutes. About 45 minutes later I noticed that my car was still parked where I had parked it. I then asked one of the service techs if they had already finished with it and he let me know that it had not even been started. He then went back and asked the only guy at their facility that can do inspections how long it would be and he claimed that he had another 30 minutes on the one he was working on. Essentially my inspection would take at least another hour. I did not have an hour to wait and had to leave. What a ridiculous and completely avoidable situation. Also, on what planet does an inspection take an hour? No wonder this place has such bad reviews.
