The service, value and honesty combined with their expertise is amazing. I have been a customer for over 20 years and very highly recommend Excel Automotive Technology. My BMW s 25,000 mile service was done professionally and took only a couple of hours. Five stars all the way!!!

My auto incident was self-inflicted: although startled by a cat, can t blame it on the . I was therefore very traumatized and couldn t deal with the repairs needed. My son found Excel and handled most of the assessment, evaluation, negotiation with their excellent and responsive assistance. Throughout it was headache-free and pain-free, car was done beautifully with little extras thrown in for free for best outcome. I believe there couldn t have been a better experience elsewhere!

Jay can figure out the issues on difficult and hard to find problems on a multitude of late model Import and domestic vehicles. Never disappointed both in service and customer service. Their first word and approach to work is Honest! It is true, Jay and Martha serve their clients with care, professionalism and honestly to get you on the road and confident in the repairs completed. Jay's integrity helped me feel comfortable and he saved me thousands on a repair he could have easily convinced me I needed and yet he made every effort to do the best for me. Excel finished the work ahead of schedule and under budget. We discussed some "if needed, go ahead and do it" scenarios and none of were needed. No unnecessary work to pad the bill even though it had been pre-approved. Good work at an honest shop. This is the place that you want to bring your vehicle whether it needs body work or mechanical. They are friendly and easy-going, and you do not feel like they are upselling you. I called Excel Monday to see if I could bring my car in for inspection Wednesday. Martha, who answered my call, said certainly and asked what time I planned to arrive.I was treated well and with efficiency, in and out in a very reasonable time frame.The waiting area is clean and there is a coffee and water available to their clients. I have been going to Jay for car repairs and maintenance for 4 years. He has done two major repairs after car crashes and has also does our oil changes and regular service. Every repair and service has been done perfectly and the prices are very reasonable. Jay is very honest and is happy to talk to you through all aspects of the repair. Martha is super responsive and the shop is easy to get a hold of via text or phone. I do not understand the mentality of the 3 one-star reviews because the majority of the reviewers gave 4-5 stars. Unless these people are expecting something for nothing. I took my car to Excel for the first time for two separate noises and a transmission fluid change. Being 75 yrs. old, I've been through a few mechanics in my time - both the bad and very few good. Jay and his staff are one of the excellent! I was shocked at the cost - I was expecting to hand over my social security check. It was even less than he originally quoted me! And he found the very obscure noises my car had started making. I get a sense of caring about the customer first and foremost from Jay, the owner. He's extremely reasonable and a very knowledgeable mechanic - charging a very just price. God bless him, he made my day! Do not hesitate to take your car(s) to him - he's worth it.Service: Electrical repair

Overall super excellent service. Jay worked on my Lexus and properly informed me of any repairs that may needed to be done & what the cost would be. He ended up fixing my issue for a low cost & gave me some time to drive the car & bring it back if any issues still persisted. This is coming from a real customer from Excel Automotive I would recommend this place to any one needing service/maintenance from small to big & complicated jobs. Excel Automotive Technology has always and will continue to be my go to for automotive services. I normally have them look at mechanical issues, but this time I used the body shop. Really excellent work. I now have a go to with them on that in the future. I thought the follow up by Jay, the owner, was excellent and efficient. Windshield replacement and state inspection - Windshield needed to be ordered and was done so quickly and efficiently. It arrived exactly when they expected so they were able to service the car as scheduled. Quick, efficient work with a great team and good communication.

It s official, I hate this place and the way I was treated. Overcharged for bad parts and inadequate service. Jay did not take my concerns into consideration. Mechanics repaired things on my car that were not needed and did not fix the initial problem. Mechanics left screws loose after repair on my intake. The battery I bought from them was useless, had to be replaced after 7 months. Refused to give me a warranty on the replacement battery even though it failed the test at the Mazda dealership. Greenway Mazda fixed everything Excel couldn t even diagnose the problems.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Jay and his team are second to none. I've gone to grungy independent shops and fancy dealerships, and this is the just-right best of both worlds. You get the one-on-one attention of the smaller business, but the quality, honesty and professionalism that honestly beats the dealership experience. I enjoyed the 90 minute wait for my maintenance utilizing their wifi to get some work done in their air conditioned office. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, fair prices. Can't go wrong.

Jay and Martha have provided me with quality, honest, and efficient service over the past few years I have sent my vehicles to him. Other than quality of work performed, I look for a shop that is upfront with regards to cost and nature of work performed, and I feel that Jay consistently provides that every time.

Jay is my hero. Our family has been using Excel for over 18 years. My daughter who is now 20 brought her car in after a shady Mazda dealer in New Braunfels quoted her 6k to rebuild her engine. We towed it down to Jay's Excel and he fixed it (he found it was only a sensor issue) saving us 6k!! Thank goodness for his honesty and his professionalism. He's a car genius as far as I am concerned. I will continue to promote this family owned business and Jay's incredible skilled mechanics.

Had a great experience! I had a lot of work done to get car back to New since it was 7 yrs old (problem with car stalling, windshield replaced, TPS sensor, alignment, rear camera, brakes). I had a few things I had already priced at other shops. Excel beat all the prices. They fixed all my issues and even finished a day early. I will be coming here for any future car repairs. Staff was very friendly.

I took my Jeep to Jay and his team this past week for some body work. They were polite, honest and fast. Absolutely the best service I have ever received. I would highly recommend using them if you need work performed on your vehicle.

Its hard to earn 5 stars from me! But they won me over. I like the front desk, I like the courtesy of all the employees, I like Jay's honest assessment. Most mechanics just "replace and charge." Jay's shop actually can provide solutions that prove he is actually thinking of how to repair your car, not just replace parts. Very rare. He's worked on about 1/2 dozen of my cars over the years. I won't go anywhere else.

Another Happy Customer!!!I have a 15-year white Mercedes with much needed external work. After the expert repairs done by Excel, my Mercedes looks 10 years younger. They detailed the exterior, touched up the rust spots, sanded the front headlights to remove the yellow coloring, and cleaned the interior. The staff were wonderful, professional, and efficient. They greeted me with a smile and I knew that I made the right decision by choosing this company. The price was reasonable and I truly appreciated it.

Jay is honest! Moving to a big city we were nervous about finding an honest mechanic and thankfully we have found one. He s been our mechanic for a couple years now and we even live 30 minutes away now, but still take our cars in to see him.
