I always read any bad reviews with a little skepticism and I rarely write one but in this case I am compelled to do so.I took my wife's car in because I noticed the cooling fan was not working and the car was over heating. I tried to check the coolant level and not being familiar with the vehicle, I thought the coolant level was correct so I figured that it had to be a problem with the coolant temperature sensor or the fan clutch. I am not a mechanic but I have been a truck driver with over 20 years experience and whenever my 18 wheeler breaks down, 9 out 10 ten times I can MacGyver it to get it to a shop and not get stranded on the side of the road. The point is I know vehicles and what makes them tick. Anyways, the owner of shop called me and told me that there was nothing wrong with the cooling system, it was 2 gallons low on coolant that was why the car was running hot and the cooling fan not working. He also said there was a bad leak in my oil cooler. Two points to this last part of the conversation...First, at this point I could have taken my vehicle, pay him a minimum amount for diagnosing the problem and go get 2 gallons of coolant and fill it myself. Let me ask you... how many mechanics do know who would tell you there was no problem with a particular system in your car knowing that he is not going to make any money when you brought it in because you thought there was a problem with it.Second, with most mechanics I have dealt with in the past, they rarely tell you all that is wrong with your vehicle. They just do the work you requested and go on to the next customer. When he told me how much it would cost I was floored because it was 2/3 of what most other shop would charge. When he presented me the bill, it was even a little less than what he quoted. He was able to get the part a little cheaper than he thought and passed the savings on to me. Plus, the work was completed in a timely manner.Lastly, to the lady who posted a bad review because she had to wait 10 minutes in the sun.... the shop has an air conditioned waiting area with a fish tank. Next time, take a chill pill and wait in the customer lounge. After all, you are at an auto shop, not a jack in the box drive through...of course you couldn't use the drive through if your car doesn't work...

Happy is what I am!!! (leaving from El Chaparral Auto).I'm a single mom of 3 boys ...so my vehicle is very important to me also reasonable prices !!! Called in out of courtesy, for an oil change. The guy seemed in a bad mood, was kinda rude and said bring the oil and filter, which I did. I drove in 20 mins just for him to close his bay door when he saw me pull up. They didn't close for another 3 hours. I guess they just close whenever. Which is fine, should've just mentioned on the phone it was an early close day. Should've trust my gut.EDIT: Wait what? What story is there to tell? No I never came back, I don't even live in that area. Every now and then I stop by La Paz tire shop (which is right next to y'all) when I'm at work, whenever I need anything. Just so happen that I needed an oil change as well that time. I think you confused me with someone else, you're response was a whole year later. I don't think that was me.

Came in to get an oil change. The person running the auto care calls me a trouble maker for absolutely no reason. He stole a piece of my trim on the drivers side which has a window lock. He continues to tell me he didn t take it but I m 100% positive it was there before I took it in. Because he called me a trouble maker I assume he didn t like my presence and took a piece off my trim. Never will I come here again these people are untrustworthy!

This place is terrible let me tell you what they did to my daughter's car we brough it for an oil change, because we were heading to Dallas Tx about 2 weeks ago. There was this mexican guy who did the oil change and everything seem to be good until we left to Dallas that evening an we were like 1and a half hours from Houston already when my daughter stopped to go to the restrooms when she stop she felt this smell like something was burning and she tough the worse and opened the hood immediately and there it was a whole deal of oil on the engine and under the hood the guy forgot to put the oil plug back in its place and left it open so all the oil splash all over the engine leaving the engine with just a little bit of oil, luckily my daughter stop if not my daughter's car would be messed up for good. So as you can see you can't trust this people they don't seem to be professional, a professional double checks everything in order to provide with a good service and avoid this type of things to happen. I would really recommend to find a better place for mechanical issues and oil changes I will never risk my car or my daughter's car again NEVER!!!!!!!1

Took my car there to fix a problem and took it out with much bigger problems, removed cover of air filter and left the screws out,wasn't leaking oil and got home with a big leak,left wires loose and unplugged, ,really irresponsible and unprofessional dishonest people in this place,took my car to another shop and pay way more to get these problems corrected,Islay away from this placeServices: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic
