If you need a mechanic I HIGHLY recommend Chimney Rock Car Care! They diagnosed, worked with my warranty company for payment, and fixed my car ALL IN ONE DAY/ on a Friday! + fit in an oil change for me! I have never had this positive an experience with a mechanic in my life! They have made a customer for life out of me and I will refer all my friends to them. PLUS they are a FAMILY owned business!

It's always a pleasure! In this big city, they manage to consistently make you feel like you're in a small town getting special attention. The communication is top tier and the follow up on everything regarding my vehicles is truly appreciated. They don't hesitate to go above and beyond to ensure you know what's going on with your vehicle. I've enjoyed being a customer for over +10 years!

I made a late afternoon appointment for an inspection sticker and to fix a tire. Unfortunately my car didn't pass and I was shown what the problem was. Juan was super helpful and offered a loaner for the night so they could work on it the next morning. Knowledgeable and nice!

I love this shop. They do a thorough assessment of my vehicle with each service to let me know the maintenance items that may be needed, but they re not pushy about getting the work done. Prices are fair, and everyone is very kind. Special shout out to Rhiannon and Juan for great service. This is my new go-to.

Avoid this place at all cost. My brand new car did not pass inspection because of a tire that has been changed a couple months ago and tire is not bald. They denied my inspection because they tried to sell me $400 brand new tire. Dishonest, horrible place with the worst employee. Anywhere else would have passed me but them. Well lesson learned and charge will be disputed on bank.Just went to another place and passed me. Shame on you guys.

I found this shop online and needed help with my car making a noise in a hurry. They were excellent! Amazing customer service and they made me feel comfortable from the moment i walked in the door. Highly recommended.

I recently went in to get my windshield wiper fluid hose reconnected. That's all i asked for nothing else. But in their opinion, i needed an entire inspection done on my truck, which i didn't want. So, to reconnect my hose with no replacement parts, i walked out with a 140$ bill. I won't be returning there, and i advised my family not to go there as well.

I went to Chimney Rock Car Care for a second opinion and they did great work at a better price. They also found mistakes with previous work done at the dealership. They were in contact and kept me updated with the status of my vehicle. Chimney Rock Car Care also identified future potential issues so I'd be prepared to fix those issues down the road. Will definitely be coming here for my future vehicle maintenance!

I ve been going here for the past 5 years or so. I ve always had excellent service with their staff, in particular Juan and Rhiannon at the front desk. They communicate well and do a great job documenting everything. I always bring my truck in here because I know I can trust their work. Highly recommend!

Everybody there was great, super friendly. I usually never have a good experience at a car mechanic place, due to unfriendliness, making me feel like I'm inconveniencing them. I already have trouble with social anxiety, so I really appreciate the customer service there. I will definitely bring my car back in the future.

Chimney Rock Car Care is awesome. They are always helpful. They do not upsell you on "work" that needs to be done on the car. I can walk in or call them trying to imitate a sound that I hear from my vehicle. They try to figure out what I am trying to describe without making me feel like I am going crazy with my reenactments. LOL. I have been a loyal customer for years and so glad that I found them.

I ve been taking my vehicles here for 15 yrs. I have never had any issues and are very accommodating (if you need a ride). The best independent shop in Houston. I am very particular about my cars and I would not take them anywhere else. Garrett and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Garrett's skills as a BMW Master Technician have proven invaluable to my BMW ownership experience. I have personally frequented Chimney Rock Car Care for all my car needs for almost 10 years. They have always been thorough, timely and have not held back from the hard truths about what my vehicles truly needed.The owner Garrett has worked in this industry for a long time and is as honest as they come. His team is first class and get the work done right and in a timely manner. This is a local, family run business that is operating in a high demand area of town.I recommend them to anyone and everyone! One year later from original review and still getting 5 start service from them! Keep up the good work! Back again to say they keep getting better! Needed work done on an older car and they gave great advice, thorough inspections and made a great plan to keep my car running well! Had issues with some of the new parts, everything was covered under warranty. Quick and almost painless.

Terrible service. My paperwork for the inspection was done after 20 minutes and was sitting on the front desk for another 30. The woman at the desk handed it to her coworker who put it on the table and forgot about it. And when I complained she had a bad attitude. Absolute waste of time, bad treatment of customers, and I will never come here again.Response to the owner:Thanks for checking the security cameras. I made a phone call right when I arrived and checked the time when I left. I was there for 50 minutes. It is disappointing that you would not trust a review from a guest and then attempt to fabricate the truth for the larger public.Thanks for letting me know that your inspections take 45 minutes to an hour. I have had inspections at other locations every year and they have lasted MAX 20 minutes. As it happens, the inspection was actually done in 20 minutes. I watched a guy from the shop bring in a paper, put it on the desk, and Rhiannon picked it up without looking at it and put it on the man's desk next to her, who proceeded to ignore it. I wondered what the paper was, and found out 30 minutes later that it was my inspection paper.I did receive an apology from Rhiannon, which I appreciate, but then she proceeded to rudely question the things I was saying about length of time for inspection.I don't appreciate the way that you've handled this matter. Instead of accepting that this shouldn't have happened and stopping after the apology, you've attempted to explain yourselves and belittle the honest feedback that I've given.

I've been taking my car to Chimney Rock Car Care since I relocated to Houston about 6 years ago. I always get top notch service which is becoming more and more of a rarity these days. The prices are fair and the team embodies professionalism and customer service. I really appreciate their thoroughness and attention to detail.
