Explained to us in detail on the up grades they made and put in when rebuilt was done. This is the 3rd different vehicle they've done for us. Dropped it off on a Thursday, sent pics of the pieces that came apart (metal). Gave the go ahead on the up grade. Truck was done Friday. They accommodated us on Saturday. Very few places with good service. Great job!

I'm very glad I found Carter's Transmission repair. I took my vehicle to another repair facility and all they said was there was some parts that need replacement in my transmission. (Real professional....NOT) I was looking for another facility and saw the great reviews for Carter's Transmission. They quickly diagnosed the problem and told me exactly what was going on. After giving me a quote on the price, I gave them the okay to go ahead with repairs. Brandon kept me updated with the repair progress which was something I don't see very often. It feels good to have my car running like it's new. Quick friendly service, expert repairs, and good prices well keep me coming back to Carter's. Thanks guys.

Do not use this place. Left my van sitting for over a month lies saying it was pulled in the shop yesterday after a month but apparently it was not because of the tire being flat and dirt build up on the ground where parked. This was my 3rd time returning the vehicle for the same repair only to be told after a month the 1500 dollar job that came after me was more important then correcting the error. No way this van was moved at anytime

Went to Carter's for transmission diagnostic. Found that the recently installed radiator leaked engine coolant into the transmission, which required a new radiator and transmission replacement. Because of Carter's Automatic Transmission Service we were able to go back to the auto shop that installed the defective radiator to make all the necessary repairs at no cost to us. Saved us over $4,000. Highly recommend for their service and honesty.

I have never been to a shop that doesn't want to take my money because the repair is not worth the time or money. I went in today and talked to Mike about my transmission. I have never in my 44 years on this earth met a nicer mechanic. He talked to me for about 20 minutes about not paying 5k for a transmission. He was really nice and said, " i can do the repair, but i don't think it's a good idea." we have to appreciate the good mechanics. Thank you.

I always go to Michael and Brandon at Carters to service my vehicles. They have taken great care of my Jeep. They are able to figure it out quickly and save me money unlike all the other auto places trying to sell me unnecessary things. I don t even have to make an appointment I just show up and they get me taken care of. I had my Chevy suburban transmission rebuilt here in 2010 and 186,000 miles. The work lasted 200,000 miles before the transmission failed again. I would say that is pretty good work. They were a bit pricey even then. I can get a rebuild in Phoenix for less money now.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I got transmission for to install fast but terrible job. Lies about oil he supposed to put in toyota oil for my tundra but he didn't. Had to pay $800 for labor cash only. Had to pay cash so I know he doesn't have to report to the IRS.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I have been coming to Carters Transmissions for over 20 years. Every time i come in they give me the best prices and work fast on what i am needing done. I have been having extreme difficulties with my car for the past few months. I came in and my car problem was diagnosed and worked on quickly. The men in there are very helpful and go a extra mile for everything they do. If you need work done you should come here!

I highly recommend Carters Transmission Service. I own a cleaning company and have several cars that they maintain for me. I have been using them for 15 years + and they are always honest, and dependable!Service is quick and timely.Family owned which I love being an entrepreneur myself.

Mike has done several repairs for my family and I overall. I trust him absolutely with any vehicle of mine. He s honest in his opinion and cost s. No one will be beat his prices around town. Definitely Worth the drive!

Carter's really took care of me and my truck. I went in for a transmission flush and while they were working, the technician noticed a string wrapped up in my rear differential, and checked to make sure it was nothing serious. It ended up being fishing line, probably from putting my boat in and out of the water. They let me know and I had them really check to make sure everything was good. They even threw in a discount and changed the fluid in my differential. The entire process was fast, efficient and professional. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a transmission service in Houston!

Finally found an honest and reliable transmission and car repair shop. Instead of the typical $2000 to $3000 (4WD) or more for a new transmission you hear from almost every other shop, Carter's only fixed the specific part that was broken and saved me thousands. Repair was made last year and truck is still running great. 5 stars!

Highly recommend Carter's! The quality of work and the honesty is what will keep bringing me back to the shop. Everyone knows what they are doing and don't give you the run around. Honesty is the key as well when it comes to machanics and the workers are very honest. I will DEFINITELY recommend this shop to my family and friends. Love supporting my locals!

In May, 2009, my 1997 Ford F150 was taken to Gus' Automotive. He said I needed the transmission rebuilt and I gave the go-ahead. He took my truck to Carter's Automatic Transmission Repair.It had 118,325 miles on it at the time. Mike and staff rebuilt my transmission and gave me a 2 yr / 24,000 mile guarantee.My odometer broke in 2013 with 280,000 miles listed. I estimate by now I have well over 325,000 miles on it.That means my rebuilt transmission went well over 200,000 miles and way beyond the original factory build.I paid $2400.00 for the rebuild and I cannot imagine a better return on my investment. Great place, excellent and speedy service. Reasonable prices what else could you ask for. Mike and team were awesome. Went the extra mile and took care of few other details that needed attention. Shawn at the reception was welcoming and made my wait time in the office a delightful one.I absolutely would recommend these guys if you are looking for a trustworthy place.

Honest Reliable Fast Service. Took My Denali slipping to Carters Transmission located at 11708 N Houston Rosslyn Rd, Houston, TX 77086 and in 3 hours BAMM!!! Transmission was completely rebuilt from start to finish. I promise you will not find a better shop no where. Mike really did me a great favor and a great job FAST! So I give those guys 5 stars and I want to applauded their work. Nothing but happy over here. You will not find a better place.

Mike Ramsden is a master at transmission repair, his prices will beat any competitors and the quality of work you receive is not only far above the rest, but guaranteed! Beyond frustrated. Paid over $600 so my van would run smoother. But its worse now than before as it doesnt run at all and manager keeps pushing me aside saying he's too busy to finish the job he was paid to doRevision- 2 weeks later they came and got the van and fixed it. If it runs well, you won't see anymore feedback. Fingers crossed

We used a Groupon deal for $39 and were highly pleased at the outcome. They checked the transmission and used synthetic oil and were done quite fast. We buy and sell used cars and plan on using them for all our American vehicle mechanic needs from now on.

Very curious staff ,I would recommend anyone with transmission issues to pay them a visit or any mechanical problems ,very reasonable as well .Had a very pleasant experience!!!
