They damaged my wheel while replacing my tire. I have a photo of my wheel before taking it here that same morning and this damage/chipped my wheel and even took off the black paint. I m so busy and couldn t come back to bring it to their attention but how do you damage a wheel while replacing the tire with your own equipment?

During the "Houston Freeze 2024" one of my tires lost air, which I discovered is common when the temperature drops. I visited three gas stations and all of their air machines were out of order. Their prices ranged from $2 to $2.50 and they provide you with several minutes of "air time" to complete the job.I kept driving and found "Barker Tires and Auto Repair." One of the workers (a Mexican guy in his 50s or 60s ) kindly asked me what was going on, I explained the situation, and he quickly topped off the tire in 30 seconds. I was about thank him with a couple bucks cash in hand {{off topic, thank people in the service economy with tips, not just with words}} when some other guy (in his 20s or 30s) came out of nowhere and said, "we're charging him $5." I laughed (in my head, not out loud), went inside their shop, and Apple Paid them the $5 for topping off one of my tires with air.If they will gouge you $5/tire for air, then how much will they gouge for a serious auto issue? I will never find out.ps. I just learned that Discount Tire and most local tire shops will provide air for your tire as a courtesy {{please still tip them}}.

I had so bad experience with this place with one of the employees, over the phone he was so disrespectful to me just because when I call I ask for his name I can t believe that. ONLY because I ask what was his name he was so disrespectful and he did not care about the review well now I m going to write to Better Business Bureau about this situation that happened with this employee. His name is Martin. And this is not all I will said all the story my bad experience, with the bad quality of my tire. That exploded on the freeway after a day before I bought it.

Barker tires and auto repair are amazing they made my busted up rim look like brand new, and they fixed my door that was popping whenever I opened it. I definitely recommend them to everyone

When I went to see it they did the radiator flush and fill , no they don't. He got in to it with customer over a tire he sold him. It was time for me to leave.

Used to be my go too shop, had tires on one set of wheels done they forgot to balance them had to come back then charged me 15$ per wheel for balance, on another occasion got charged 54$ for 2 tires taken off and installed, I've had a costomer go there to be taken care of and come back with dry rotted used tires by my recommendation and looked like a clown.. don't stop here there's a reason the property looks like it does, and they closed when they want to the hours are not correct and they dont answer the phones either...

When I tell you this place provided the best and most genuine service I've ever experienced, I am not kidding. Martin and his sweet staff have worked so hard on a service I needed done. I told them an issue that another Auto service quoted me, and they backed it up and told me they were wrong. They did everything in a timely manner as well. They gave me genuine answers about my vehicle along with proof. Their prices are phenomenal and they will make sure you get taken care of. This place will not disappoint you! Make sure to get all your car needs done from them. 10/10 stars!! I am very happy with my service! :)

Charged $50 labour to change two back tires, 15 minute job, previously I had paid $30. No big deal, didn't bother to barter but got the distinct feeling I was paying special rates, did not feel good. Next time will just get Walmart to do install.

Wish there is something below zero for those guys, Martin are the biggest unprofessional person I have ever seen! I was explaining my vehicle problem to him when he suddenly entrapped me saying we don t do any check for free !!! What?? I m not asking to do anything for free dude, I haven t mentioned anything about doing a check!?, then he said we so busy, that we charge for checking!! , again I said I m not here to do a free check, I have a problem need to be fix, I don t know why you opening this business if you don t have the ability to communicate professionally?? if you can t speak English and have a a problem with the understanding, please ask someone help before making freaking decisions, I don t know how we allowing something like that to continue running such as business???

Awesome customer service, fast, friendly, and reliable. I'm so happy I came across good service technicians that are concerned about the vehicles we drive. Very helpful information. Once I entered to pay for my services, I noticed the Holy Bible opened and actually in Corinthians. This alone meant to much to me to deal with honest people. Best service, they are always fast, and have the prices! Since I moved to Katy I have taken my car here. Last time my oil was changed I thought it leaked,they came to my house free of charge to take a look at it. It turned out not to be the oil at all.

Martin and his team have always treated me with respect and kindness. I like going here because the price will be fair, the service will be way above average, they don t try to upswell you, they fix what you need fixed. I have used them more than 4 times over the las year(s). He alsways has a smile when he serves me. All I can say about the 1 star reviews are... I typically don t post reviews, and when I did in the past it was over bad service. This place is GREAT! They provide great service, do not nickel and dime, and they do not make unnecessary repairs. I have taken two cars to them on multiple occasions, and they have been accurate, trustworthy, and affordable.

Martin and Miguel were amazing! Someone stole my tires and my rims and they were able to service me and even came to my location and put the tires on. They didn't have to do that and that shows how exceptional their customer service is. Thank you so much guys!

Just had a horrible encounter with Martin! A man of God he claims. Not only have I brought my vehicle here, but my moms and relatives. I even moved on the opposite site of town and still here to service my vehicle. I would stay away from this place if you need any thing other than oil changes/tires serviced. I brought my vehicle here to get my switch light replaced and of course 5 minutes after driving off two malfunction lights turn on. It has been a long day so I decided to wait till first thing in the morning to call him.I called him explained to him the lights that turned on and he said to bring it in. Drive over 20 miles back only for him to have the worst attitude and tell me he can refund me partial my money and for me to take it to the dealer.... how about telling me that before you attempt to replace things and wasting my time/money. Things escalated and he basically asked me to never come back. After all the business I brought him he didn't have to tell me twice!Like I said there are much better/friendlier auto repair shops out there.I also have videos of how he was speaking to me! Absolute experts, saved me $700, A1 down the street said I needed new hub bearings. NOPE, I had 'choppy' tire tread. He showed me everything, and had the nicest lift I've seen in a shop that size, the tools they have here are HQ.

Review written Tuesday, June 16. 2020.Called Barker Tires and Auto Repair on Thursday, June 11th, spoke to Martin (Owner/Manager), asked for the cost to mount and balance 4 new tires I purchased and brought with me. Martin asked what size tires, informed size 17's, he informed $60.00 for mounting, balancing, AND disposal of tires.Arrived Saturday, June 13th, early afternoon, replacing worn tires with the new tires purchased and brought with me. After, my vehicle was pulled in and jacked up, Martin came back in the office and stated, "we charge a fee of $2.50 per tire for disposal of tires but, will charge you $2.00 per tire." So now, previous cost went from $60.00 dollars to $68.00 dollars. No tax, if you pay cash, otherwise, any other form of payment, tax will be added.My concern, Martin does not inform those who may potentially patronize his business (until after your car is pulled in and jacked up) of ALL the "additional" fees and/or taxes included, when initially and previously inquired by a potential customer. I informed Martin, as a business, when a potential customer calls for the cost of a particular service, ALL costs, fees, and/or taxes should be divulged, at that time, as that is the very purpose of calling to get "the cost." I proceeded to communicate something standard, the basics of business, in front of another customer, who was also their for the same service, and she was also informed of additional costs, fees, and/or taxes after her car was pulled in and jacked up as well.Martin wanted me to continue to discuss this matter outside, out of ear shot from the other female customer, waiting for the same service to be rendered, and I declined and continued. "The principle" of the matter IS important, not just the cost(s) itself and service(s) rendered.I asked if there was a warranty or guarantee of some kind on the "Service Provided" (meaning, if Martin's workers damaged my brand new tires or damaged anything on my car while changing out my tires, unaware of, at time of service), his answer, "NO, the warranty will come from where tires were purchased." My detailed question was not answered!In addition, double check your receipt of services rendered, Martin is not detailed when "hand-writing" out the receipts for the actual services rendered. IF you decide to do business with Barker Tires and Auto Repair, "Beware and Be Aware!"

I suppose you can't really trust online reviews either when it comes to businesses and how they conduct their business. I just called this place to get an estimate on a lower control arm work then the guy puts me on hold and then comes back and say "so we're not going to give you an estimate over the phone unless we see it first" in a very rude manner and then hangs up on me. It's a lower control arm, the front end; I don't want to be driving all over town for nothing because it's not safe. All I'm trying to do is get some numbers together.

Horrible tire shop ask to get air in my tire and a rude worker named ANGEL told me he could not put air in my tire. When this is obviously a tire shop the reviews are right. This is not a good buisnesss to go to. Would not recommend to bring your car here they are very very rude.

On a trip to San Antonio, my mom found herself with an emergency and needed help. The mechanics at Barker Tires and Auto Repair were more than helpful. In an age when customer service seems to be a thing of the past, the team went above and beyond. Their skill and expertise with import cars is superior. Highly recommend!!

Bad service. they gave me a labor cost one day. Came back the next day and $200 more for labor. And only cash . One day before I pay with my debit card so I told him why. He refused to give me a reason.. Becareful of taking advantage of you.
