NEVER in car history have I ever been happy to pay for service on my vehicle & NEVER have I ever OFFERED A TIP Mr. Al deserves a 10 I was skeptical about all the 5 star reviews but here I am lol. He was so knowledgeable, detailed, and informative about my Mercedes GLC300. Yes he sends videos & reports even if you stick around while he performs the service. This man should be teaching in a mechanical university or something

I'm from out of town and when my car lost all its oil, Car Shield sent it to Aurora to determine the cause and make repairs. Al (who i assume is the owner) discovered the oil filter had been improperly installed by the quick lube and determined that the motor luckily shut down before it ate itself. He was able to safely diagnose the condition of the motor, refill with oil and new filter and get it running again at a minimal cost to me. He also worked very well with Car Shield to diagnose a couple other repairs and started the claim process with them so I can get the repairs completed at a shop in my own town.Al also provided me with great pictures, video and documentation of the oil filter issue that have made the claims process relatively painless with the quick lube back home that made the near catastrophic mistake.A great place with honest and straightforward communication that does business with integrity.

If you are a woman and you have a hard time with trusting mechanics come here. He is trustworthy. Every step of the way he is informing you what is going on with your car sometimes if he has time he shows you the process aswell. He shows video proof that he has changed car parts and he is kind. He gives you many options on what you could do to fix the car. Just be warned he does not take outside parts, and bring debit or cash.

Went in today for a vehicle inspection as my engine light has been bothering me. Al took his time explaining the issues with my car and provided me with alternative options. He was extremely respectful of our budget and did not pressure us into anything. We ll be coming back for sure, this man provides service you can trust.

My fiance' was looking for a place to have his Audi A5 coupe repaired before going on a road trip after the holidays, but the Audi dealership, where he usually gets his maintenance done didn't have availability. It was normal maintenance.... a brake job, an engine belt needed to be replaced, and an oil change. He called Aurora and Al told him sure to bring the car in and it was on New Year's eve around 1:00 pm on a Saturday and on the following day on Sunday the car was finished and for a very reasonable price. What was really impressive was when I dropped my fiance' off to pick up his car, Al heard my passenger door making a noise when my fianc� opened it to get out of my car. I have a BMW 428i coupe. He immediately said a bolt likely just needed to be tightened. He ran into the shop grabbed a tool tightened the bolts and sure enough the door wasn't making the noise anymore. He didn't charge me anything. We always take our cars to the Audi and BMW dealerships for repairs and maintenance because they are expensive cars and we want to ensure repairs are done correctly. However, we'd both absolutely trust Al in the future. He's honest and provides you with videos of the repairs as he's completing them so you can see exactly whats happening. I've never seen that before with any auto repair service. He's a good guy and provides great service so definitely would recommend him.

I brought in my wife's Honda Pilot and they took very good care of me. They sent videos of each thing that they were doing and had the car ready the same day that I dropped it off. They were able to do that because he said a time that I should come in and that he would have it out. Very trustworthy and very good at what they do. I took my car to Al at Aurora Automotive and it was the best experience I've ever had at a mechanic shop. I've always been weary of mechanics in the past, especially being a woman, but Al was so awesome. He took the time to explain everything that was going on with my vehicle (even though I had a million questions) and never once got frustrated or try to upsell me something I didn't need. He took detailed videos right from the beginning when my car was coming off the tow truck. He called daily to keep informed with updates and gave me options when it came time to make a decision of what I was going to do about my vehicle. Al is honest and trustworthy, and makes you feel like family. I will never take my car anywhere else.

I have a 2013 Volkswagen Beetle diesel turbo. Try and find a mechanic that knows how to work on her is hard. She had several things wrong with her. Al from the beginning showed me on the computer what was wrong. Through my whole repair he would send me videos of what he was doing, unwrapping new parts, calling with explanations, texting me. He almost over informed me. By the end of my car being fixed I trusted AL completely. Did I mention I am a women and didn't show up with my husband. AL didn't even know I was married through this whole thing. He never took advantage of that. Lady's you can go to him knowing he will not rip you off. My car runs great!!! He knows what he is doing. I will never go to another mechanic other than him again. I had the best experience. Thank you for fixing my car. Al was great! The electronics of my car had shut down and couldn t even start it. All the warning/emergency lights were flashing and couldn t figure out what was going on. Got it towed to the normal shop we use and they were not able to diagnose the issue which meant my only other option was the dealership, which I was trying to avoid. My tow truck driver referred me to Al s and was convinced he would be able to solve the issue. I reached out to Al and he assured me they d diagnose and repair whatever was going on. I had originally assumed rabbits had chewed wires but the first shop said no sign of rabbits or any damage. Within a couple hrs of Al looking at my car and doing some digging he not only confirmed wire damage from rabbits, but also found where the rabbits would nest. He sent me video and text updates throughout the diagnostics. I highly recommend these guys.Service: Electrical system service & repair

I know what you re thinking, all 5 start reviews, is this a scam?! The answer is No! The guys at Aurora are really that good. They will take the time to explain everything they find causing the problem, send you photos and videos of the problem or parts that are bad, and consult with you on different pricing options to fix it. They also won t try to sell you on a bunch of other stuff you don t need like dealerships and crooks do. I highly recommend giving them your business.

Thank you Al, for being transparent, honest and thorough. After I was given a quote on repairs. Al gave me a detail explanations for his quote. I will sent videos of the old and new parts and videos of repairs being done. I was given a timeframe when the work would be complete. My car was done on time. Today at work my car stalled out. I called Aurora Automotive and spoke with Al. Within 10 mins of our call he had a tow service call me to pickup my vehicle. The tow service was just as kind as Al. They know I m a teacher ;) I arrived at his shop at 3:30. I left at 4:45. I learned so much from him as he explained the problems with my car. I know what the prices would have been at the Fiat dealership. I was expecting to be quoted the same but Al offered very affordable rates for the services.My experience with mechanics has been tough because not many are familiar with Fiats. Al sounded like a Fiat expert. I 100% recommend anyone with a Fiat to visit his shop. You will leave happy and more knowledgeable about your car.Services: Computer diagnostics, Vehicle maintenance

In January 2022 we were on our way to Hobby Airport in Houston, TX when my 2014 Ford Explorer Sport suddenly went into safe mode, and would not allow me to accelerate. The check engine light had also suddenly come on as well, and there was a noticeable strong smell that was raw unburned gasoline. We limped off the freeway and to a business parking lot to figure out what to do. Since it would not start, we had it towed to Aurora Automotive in Houston and worked with Al. The issue causing the codes it produced indicated that the fuel injectors, intake gasket and thermostat needed to be replaced. Not only did he tell us what was wrong with it, but he also inspected every other possible thing that may be an issue for us later. This included anything that may have caused the actual issue, as well as anything that the issue itself may have caused. He referred to this a domino type effect. During the repair process, Al was excellent at taking videos of the issues, and showing them to you by text, while also explaining what he is doing and what he recommends. He went above and beyond that to follow up with detailed text messages and requests for consent which also include cost of that repair. We appreciate how thorough Al is and even though he is certainly not close to our home, we still plan to go to him. A good, honest mechanic is hard to find, and we trust him with our future business. I would highly recommend Aurora Automotive if you want your vehicle repaired the right way the first time.Services: Engine repair, Computer diagnostics, Vehicle maintenance

My 2004 Cadillac CTS was having AC trouble, not cooling the car inside and overheating, Al the mechanic at Aurora on Dairy-Ashford & Brant Rock in Houston. Did the diagnostic on my car and sent me video during the stages of repair and I approved the work to be done. The mechanics here are very good and I recommend them very highly. They will be my mechanics of choice to work on my 20 years old CTS from now on. A very satisfied customer.

I took my Volvo to Aurora and Al took care of me. He ordered the parts and keeped informed on dates. He also sent pics of the parts and video of everything he installed. Never had that done before. I have visited this location couple times very convenience from home. Owner is pretty great very welcoming! My 1st visit owner took the the time and explain how my system works. Never had a mechanic invest so much time in explaining and the patience. For this type of service that's why I keep coming back. First thing I did was bring my car to Midas for a diagnostic after my car seemed to just die on me .They said they didn t know what was the problem so I chose to get it towed here. I had a great experience at this business with how detailed and honest they were. Very knowledgeable and made my very frustrating car troubles manageable. I was very hesitant to try a new place but the reviews made me take the chance VERY PROFESSIONAL and worked very quickly.

My friend highly recommended Aurora Auto years ago and I've never needed to go anywhere else since. I had 2 previous mechanics, including a dealership, look into my car problems, and could only perform tune-ups and write up expensive invoices. Aurora Auto took only a week to diagnose, repair, and upgrade, EVERYTHING my car needed, and then some!While other "car professionals" took a year of second opinions and useless, expensive service trips, I left Aurora Auto's lot as if I just bought it off of a semi-new dealership! I had an Intoxilock device installed in a different city, and initially had many issues with the device. When I brought my vehicle to Al for the first required calibration, he detected and corrected several issues with the Intoxilock system. I continued having my monthly calibrations done at Aurora Automotive, and just yesterday he removed the device for good.Although Al runs a busy & successful automotive repair business, he always made time for me to get calibrations done on time. Even though my Imtoxilock requirement is over, I will definitely bring my vehicles to Aurora Automotive for other maintenance repairs. Al is top-notch, honest, and fair!I absolutely recommend Al &:Aurora Automotive for installation, service, and removal of the Intoxilock systems.
