A relative of mine took his truck here to get it fixed, here was his experience. "The transmission was fully rebuilt and worked perfectly for a couple of weeks, keep in mind, I rarely use this truck so I never detected any issues. I noticed there was a leak coming from the transmission which I paid $3800 to get rebuilt and went back to A+ Transmissions to get it fixed under the one year guarantee policy. Once I was there, Edgar, a staff member invalidated my guarantee by putting the blame on the issue that was made on their behalf, again, this truck rarely gets used. Not only was he rude, but I was charged $800 to fix the leak. They found a solution for the leak and I was happy to get my truck running well with no issues despite the inconvenience. Not long after this, there was yet, another issue, but this time it was the center bearing. They added a spacer which made the bearing become unaligned and made it come into contact with other pieces in the transmission. I went back to get this fixed under the guarantee and was denied. Edgar was extremely rude and blamed me again for an issue they caused. I had to take my truck to get fixed at another mechanic shop. Rude and unprofessional. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

came for a trans fluid change, front desk listened to what i had to say about my vehicle & ensured my vehicle would be serviced for what it needed. Staff also ensured my vehicle was qualified & safe for service, instead of running into a bigger transmission issue. Thanks. Overall positive experience. Great quality & affordable service.

Okay so my 2017 Chevy Colorado had a transmission issue and went out on me. I had to tow it to a few shops to take a look and it was during the Christmas holidays ironically.Most shops were quoting me at $5500 to $6000 for a rebuild and potentially a whole new transmission and wouldn't work on it during the holidays, so I would have to wait 2 weeks until I got an update on it.Chris at A+ Transmission was super accommodating and took me in the day after Christmas on the 26th and broke down everything to find the true problem within the transmission. He was very attentive and called me throughout the day to update me on the status of the truck and the necessary steps for the rebuild.Very transparent with me and literally finished everything within 2 days!!! That's insane for a transmission rebuild. And the final cost for everything came out to $4100. Saved me an extra $1200 on a transmission from these other shops. I highly recommend this place!

Took my 2001 Chevy to have a trans leak fixed and they did the job in a timely matter. I would recommend anyone who needs transmission work done to check them out. The sales person was very thorough in asking the right questions and seem not in a rush to talk you into a overhaul. And their prices are very reasonable.

The people there were very knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to identify my issues initially and then remained in contact through out if new problems or costs arose. Car is running and shifting great now.

I own a 26year old 1992 Ford F250 powered by the 7.6 v8 460 gas burning engine, which recently started leaking oil from the transmission and wasn't shifting as smoothly. In a big city like Houston, you will be shocked to find out that we don't have as many transmission specialists and many of the few in town don't have good technicians who can do an excellent job or will overcharge and upsell their services.A plus transmission specialists located on 4814 cypress creek parkway is the best transmission specialists in town. The manager Chris has excellent communication and customer care skills. I was very nervous having to do any major repairs on my beloved 26 year old truck, but once I spoke to Chris and the owner I felt comfortable giving them an opportunity to run a diagnostic. They quickly got back to me in a few hours and pin pointed the cause of the leak. I gave them the consent to do the repairs and once they opened the transmission they found a few other problems and advised me accordingly. I ended up spending about $1700 but it was the best $1700 I spent on this truck.The transmission is so sharp and smooth and the truck shifts as good as a new truck after the repairs and I can feel the full power of the big 460 engine. These guys at A plus did a wonderful job for me, took great care of my truck while I was out of town for a whole month and a few days after test driving the truck I had to go back to the shop and thank them in person. The leaks are fixed and my truck will continue running for many more years thanks to these guys. If you need transmission work call this specific location first. They have a great mechanic with good hands. The honesty and quality service I received at this location is the reason I had to rate this guys and give them 5 stars. They are the best in town and I recommend you call them first for your transmission service.

My experience at A+ Transmission (Champions area) was outstanding. Chris really understands customer service. I went in because of excessive leaks from my 1967 Fairlane's C6 automatic transmission, and it turned out my problems were deeper. Chris explained their finding is a very logical fashion and my alternatives for repairs. I chose to have the transmission completely rebuilt. Chris followed up and kept me abreast of their progress. I think they fixed more than just what we planned, but at no extra charge since the transmission was already out of the car. I can highly recommend their services, especially to my classic car friends.

I had 2 jobs Done here, for the second job was not done rite..I got to talk the guy in front at reception..and he just was not profesional..Not a problem..Don't come here they just want ur money and poor labor..Parts they add on had no warranty. And had to come back 2 second time to adjust shifter cables and now trainy seal is all ready leaking...Pleased don't come here they just don't do a reliable work ..and weak,poor work ethics

I moved from New York about half a year ago and I am new to the area. My car started making strange noises and being from New York you can imagine the concern I had when taking my car to a new mechanics shop. I asked a co-worker on where to go and she swore by this A+ Transmission shop off of 1960. I did not listen to her and I decided to do some research in the area on where to go. I found a mom and pop shop (which I do not want to list their name) and I found they had great customer service but they offered to fix my transmission for $2,500. I did a couple more quotes at different locations finding quotes up to $3,500. I then went to the A+ Transmission location off of 1960 and spoke to the manager Chris. He was extremely nice and very sweet. After finding out what the problem was he showed me what the issue was and quoted me a price under$2,000. Not only was their customer service through the roof (mainly because of the manager) but it was the best quote I had received. It has been a week since and my car is driving like a champ. Thank you Chris, you have a customer for life!! I love Houston!!!

I visited A+ transmission today because my truck was stuck in 3rd gear ..Chris was very professional , polite,& great customer service friendly .As he explained everything to the detail of the work that was going to be done to my vehicle ,as well as the pricing. He also provided a ride for myself and my husband to get home until our vehicle was ready, most shop would have told u what time your car would be ready and where the nearest bus stop was located. I will definitely be doing business with him in the future and recommend all my friends and family. Thanks Chris & Lovely Staff

A+ was awesome! Very knowledgeable and personable. Did great work on my Volkswagen and they saved me in an emergency! Me, my sister and baby niece had broken down off 290, half way to Austin and they talked me through what to do, going through my options and helping diagnose the problem. We ended up having to get it towed to the shop. SO thankful for their experience, I am not a car person and I need someone I can trust.

After a lot of research on transmission repair shops I chose this one based on reviews cleanest of shop and a short conversation with a former customer. I've had my truck back for three weeks, and it runs perfect I'm very confident that I will not be having any more transmission problems.I would recommend this place to anyone needing transmission work done.Plus they have a two year 24,000 mile warranty.

I can highly recommend "A Plus Transmission Specialists" to everyone for three very important reasons:#1 - A+ was honest with me!My GMC truck has over 160000 miles on it so no surprise when the transmission started having problems. The first transmission shop I went to took a quick test drive and said I needed a new transmission that would cost around $2300 dollars. When I went to A+ for a second estimate they took the time to honestly diagnose the real problem and fixed it for a few hundred dollars.#2 - I got good value at a reasonable price.After calling around to see what other shops would have charged for the same work I know I got a good deal.#3 - A++ customer service.The manager Chris was personable and a straight shooter. He stayed in contact while the work was being done and even called the next day to make sure everything was good.

I d like to thank A+ transmission on Louetta for fixing my car! Chris and Jose worked diligently to figure out the problem and find quality parts for a decent price. My car is getting close to 10 years old, so when a shop close to my home told me it was a head gasket, I wasn t sure if I wanted to drop a grand. Been there, done that Sadly, after spending around $7000 in repairs, I had to get a new car.A + was not close to me, but I needed to go somewhere that would tell me the truth! I gave them a call and the manager was on top of my situation the entire time. The next day, they had my car towed in just in case it was overheating. Later that day, Chris called me with fabulous news saying that the leak wasn t coming from the head gasket .It was the valve cover--which is A LOT cheaper to replace! What a relief! It s hard to find a reliable mechanic. Check these guys out, you won t be disappointed.

Wish I could give more stars. These guys went above and beyond helping with my transmission repair. They checked other parts of the car and let me know other parts that could use work and offered me many options on how to do that. They communicated clearly and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. They care about their customers and providing a valuable service. If you want a pleasant car repair experience I 100% recommend them.

I started with a 4 to 5 stars until I had a second opinion on my vehicle.My mechanic took my car over to A+ and they came back saying I need to replace or rebuild my transmission but explained they couldn't find anything on they computer when they hooked up to my vehicle, they gave me a few options that were attractive, they were polite and informative. Explained how my transmission fluid was burnt and all.Took it to another place to see if they were able to beat the quote I received from A+ and the reply i got blew my mind. I was told that there is nothing wrong with my transmission. I just need a tune up. Which I knew and was planning on getting during my next oil change. So I asked the second place about the burnt transmission fluid, they explained that if there was an issue with the transmission they would not replace the fluid due to the releasing the pressure would cause more of an issue. So then they showed me the transmission fluid and it looked very clean.My mechanic is honest and I still trust him. He is not a transmission specialist so he took it to A+ because they are specialists, with that said I would have been out about $3000 for a transmission that did not need to be replaced.Although they were polite and did not charge me for a diagnostic I feel they tried to rip me off. For that I couldn't refer them to anyone that is not my worst enemy.
