This was a convenient place to camp to visit the many birding spots in the area. The campground was quiet and our pull-through space was plenty long enough for parking. We had a level concrete pad. Laundry facilities were nice and close.

My one-night stay at this RV park was a fantastic experience. We were just in and out for an anniversary trip and wish we could have stayed longer. Eric helped us out with getting all checked in and set up and gave us pointers on stuff to do in the area. Super nice guy this is the spot on the coast you want to stay at. The park was exceptionally clean, and the amenities provided were top-notch. I felt like I was part of a welcoming and vibrant community during my visit. The sense of camaraderie and the well-maintained facilities made my stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this RV park for anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to park their RV.

Update 01/24-27/2024Our third visit so undoubtedly we like High Island RV Park. As always the park was well maintained and quiet. Reservations and check-in was simple. We stay here because of previous reasons and proximity to beaches. We will be back.We spent four nights in our 25 foot travel trailer in pull-thru site 10. Our first visit to this RV park and we plan to return. Only reason not awarded a 5 star was the bathroom rooms were being remodeled--which it appears will be a nice upgrade--but no notice of unavailability on website. This issue was not a game changer. New owner is making improvements to park. Check in was a breeze. Site was level. Park was clean. Located short distance to beach. Very quiet day and night. Pet friendly. We enjoyed our visit.

I will absolutely be going back to this camper. The price was incredible. The camper was clean and presentable when we arrived. My kids were very excited. It is setup well with everything you need. Of course bring your own personal items and food. The location is right around the corner from the beach. I almost don't want to give it a perfect review so it will be available next time I want to rent it but I truly can't say anything negative about the experience. I will be back.

Nicely kept older park, new owners making a good place great. Small park. The town has internationally famous birding sanctuaries. I think everyone there mid april is year-round or birders. Newly gutted and remodeled bathrooms, new laundry machines. FREE ICE is awesome touch. They are cleaning up the landscape and the areas they have done look great. Year round residents keep their RVs and sites super nice, never seen a park where that is as consistently done and it makes it so much better. Older sites don't fit RV and tow vehicles but theres plenty of parking within 10-20 yards. Super friendly, eager to help. Check in was super easy.

Ended up staying an extra two days. Compact park that is meticulously maintained. The manager (Ricky) was very accommodating and detailed oriented. Laundry facility excellent. Provided free ice which is a plus. Ferry to Galveston was fantastic. Highly recommend this park, very relaxing

I can't recommend a place any higher than here !The grounds are clean, neighbors nice and everyday is began with local bird life singing you awake. Great price for top rate accommodations. Laundry on site, as well as a lovely little drive to walk upon in the quiet of the evenings. And if you rent one of the parks trailers... You won't regret it !And the PERFECT place to be if you want to hit the fishing spots first thing each morning.

We will be leaving at the end of the month after a two month stay. We'd originally planned for a month, but it's been so nice we stayed longer. 2 minute bike ride to the beach, which is seldom crowded in February and March. Excellent walking in bird sanctuaries, and I've been amazed at the wildlife in this area, from alligators sunning to pink spoonbills flying. The Rv park is quiet, well kept, good laundry facilites and shower, and mail pickup has been easy. There is also the park cat, whom we named Marvin. I'll miss him the most!

We stayed here for one night on our move across the country. I wish we had more time! This stunning rv park is quiet, very well kept and the owner is the sweetest. A couple blocks from the beach, an adorable gazebo, giant fire pit and individuals grills at each site with 75-100 foot pull throughs with concrete slabs. Wow! I managed an rv park and can say this place is amazing compared to all the others we have been to. Don t pass this place up if you re traveling through!

They are by far the most laid back, sweetest people to rent a camper from in a quite little rv park that offers a nice bath house, laundry room, a free 5 gallon bucket of ice (which comes in handy), cooking utensils, bbq pit, free wifi and come with a TV you can log into your Netfilx ect for those unexpected rainy beach days. For the price you pay to rent a camper you definitely can't beat a more perfect park with all the accommodations they have to offer. The owner is soo sweet and Ricky who helps manage the park is also very laid back and respectful as well. Will not go anywhere else. The park over all is quite and very well maintained and relaxing. I dont mind the drive back and forth to the beach which isn't very far away at all. Bring your towels, bedding, food and Toiletries and you will have the perfect quite relaxing weekend.

Its a gem!!! Very nice small RV Park in High Island, TX. The sites are close together due to location of campground but perfect for us. We have a 45' Class A w three slides and are towing a Jeep. Lots of le lngth which was nice! So the best part of how well planted thus little gem is for attracting birds, its so appealing! Ricky the manager was very attentive when making reservations and upon arrival. They do a real nice job here and we'd certainly be back when traveling the Bolivar Penninsula area again!!!

Wonderful experience. The manager was very friendly and helpful and right on top of any issues that arise. I mean like within 5 minutes they will be there to help. Quiet and pretty. Wish we could stay longer and definitely will return. Location great to take in birding or go to the beach.

Very nice campground. Workers were staying here when we stayed a month so we often were woke up around 5-6am during the week. Bathrooms were always clean. Laundry room was nice and efficient. Very lit up at night, security cameras, that made us feel safer staying here. Watch out for the fire ants and be prepared for the misquitos. 4 stars due to the fact we were woke up daily around 5 am during the week, other than that great place.

We enjoyed our visit at High Island RV park. It is a bit out of the way from some attractions but we were there for the birding and wildlife. You can't get a better location if that is your interest. The weather wasn't the best but we enjoyed the Anahuac Wildlife Refuge. The Rookery, part of the Houston Audubon Society. Amazing place during the Bird breeding season. A must see! This park is quiet and small. Staff is wonderful! Would not hesitate staying here again. The place is up for sale and if I were 20 years younger, I would give it serious consideration. I only hope any future owners will maintain the high standards!

We stayed here last week in our 40' motor home. The lady that runs the place is very pleasant and helpful with local info. The site was a level concrete pad, surrounded by nice grass. The park was quiet, with very few folks around. The laundry was handy and all the machines worked well.

This was our first time to High Island. We arrived weeks before the peak migration in order to check out both the rv park and the layout of all the bird sanctuaries. I don't know how chaotic it will be with huge crowds, but everything is beautiful now. We've recently bought a small class c rv and didn't take time to check out the park's bathrooms or showers.

The good: Cheap! Very cheap! We stayed in one of their RV campers for about 50 bucks a night, that's the best part. The worst part was how unclean the camper was and it smelled like cigarettes and sweat. Overall it was not a pleasant experience. If I needed somewhere to stay for a hunting or fishing trip only and wasn't wanting to relax then, Yes I would stay here. Otherwise I will spend a little more somewhere else.

Nice grounds, I'm guessing great for RVs. FYI the cabin is actually an old camper. I reserved the "cabin" a week in advance and they made a note that I would be getting in at 8. The host was NOT happy that I arrived so late (at 7:15) and told me my cabin was "in my dreams". I might have been better off sleeping in my rental car...

We stop here every time to fill our camper with water on our way to the beach. Then we stop on the way home to dump. It s always a quick easy process and the owner has always been super friendly and helpful. Thank you!
