I was having trouble shifting gears in my 2012 Accord V6 coupe. I took it to the dealership as well as another shop, and neither could figure out the problem. Multistate found the problem, ordered the parts, and fixed the issue the first time. Great work, accurate diagnosis, and competitively priced. Highly recommended!

Buddy at Multistate is genuine. Prices are reasonable and the service is good. I had thought my transmission was failing again so I took it back and they determined it needed the motor looked at instead and Buddy was nice enough to offer to take my truck to Jefferys automotive for me at no cost. It turned out to be an engine issue instead. Keep up the good work

Multistate Transmissions is a company I can recommend. They are not going to work on your car unless the work is justified.Buddy had his team look at my car, and then he did too. He took time to explain what was happening with it and that they could do the work, but it was really out of Multistate's expertise. Buddy then recommended who best to take it to in order to remedy the issue.To me, that is an honorable businessman.

I don't know if I have left a review already, but I had a RAV4 that needed the transmission rebuilt roughly 2-3 years ago. They did take a bit to diagnose, but it's understandable. The dealership had quoted me upwards of 7grand. Called me and let me know what the issue was. I wound up getting charged a little more than half that for it being rebuilt. 40,000 miles later we're still good. If I ever need another repair like that I'll definitely swing by again! They didn't try to upsell me and they talked to me about what my options were.

Buddy was super helpful, and the team was very quick in replacing the transmission in our Maintenance Van. Definitely will return with any transmission issues in the future. Highly recommend.

I thought I needed a new transmission. Buddy and his team diagnosed the problem and determined it was a sensor/microchip issue, not a mechanical issue. They had my car back up and running in a business day and didn't charge me anything for their service. Honest professionals.

Hi, I suppose no one ever wants to go to a transmission shop, but if you need one this has been the place for me. My F-150 was banging when downshifting from 5th to 4th and from 4th to 3rd. I was concerned this may require an overhaul (@ 235K mileage), but this shop (Multistate Transmissions) does the research necessary to fix the issue right the first time without trying this and that. Turned out a software update resolved my issue. Another time I used the shop was for a 1990 Jeep YJ which had the clutch replaced so many times I was considering getting rid of it. No one seemed to be able to fix it so that it would last... except Multistate. Again, they did the research necessary to see which aftermarket parts would work properly and wow! That was three years ago and it is working great still! I highly recommend this shop.

VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDAmazing people. Very kind. Had what i thought was transmission issues but it was battery problems. They cleaned/fixed my battery for me. They even fixed my shifter that was loose. Then they test drove it and sent me on my way FREE OF CHARGE. I had to come by 3 times while my truck was there to grab something out if my truck and they were very helpful.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Battery

When my jeep started making horrible grinding sounds and not moving, I could only imagine the worst. Not knowing for sure where to take it, I turned to Google and saw Multistate had great reviews. I now see why. From the start the staff was friendly and communicated well. Throughout the process, they kept me informed of their findings and the necessary repairs and costs. Prices and labor seemed fair. There was no hidden surprise costs at the end. Overall great experience with detailed explanations and estimates along the way and they made sure I felt in charge of my repair choices. I highly recommend them.

We brought our car to Multistate Transmissions based on the reviews of folks stating they didn't try to sell them a new transmission when an easier fix was all that was needed. Phillip was very honest with us right from the start, didn't charge us an initial diagnostic fee, and worked to find different solutions to our specific situation. We opted not to fix the car in the end, but we are very thankful for him and the honest advice he gave us. Thank you, Phillip!

Dropped my truck off at multistate thinking I was gonna need a new transmission; Buddy and his team were able to find the issue - turns out it was as simple fix with the gear selector on the column. Even though the shop was busy, Buddy took the time to walk me through the issue and the fix. Even got to talk to one of the techs who helped find the issue. They got right on my car, and replaced my axel. Found another problem that I already knew i had, and fixed that at a lower rate than i expected!!!They are very courtious, and fair! They don't try to upsale you or take Ababa of you in any way!

All I can say is everyone I dealt with was wonderful. They took care of the problems and now my nine year old car drives like a new one. We live in Little Elm and I diligently searched for a reliable transmission shop near me. I found a small shop I really liked but they don't service my model of car. I asked the owner who he would recommend and he said it would be worth the drive to take my car accross the city to Multistate Transmission. I did so and have never regretted it. On my first visit they took my car for a drive to troubleshoot a possible problem. They didn't charge me and saved me from replacing my transmission (which is what the dealer recommended). I just had the same car back in today for a routine service and was treated with the same honesty, competence, and friendliness. On both visits Buddy took time to explain the "ins and outs". They are my transmission shop going forward even though they are an hour from home.Service: Transmission

They were professional and courteous. They looked at my and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I explained I would need to hold off on the repair until I could save raise the money for the repairs. The manager was very polite and said he understood and told me to bring it back when I am ready. Multistate Transmissions and their team went above and beyond to replicate what I thought was a transmission issue. They identified that one of my cylinders was missing and it was not a transmission problem. They spent two days of their time and put 60 miles on the car and did not charge me for their diagnostic. When I called about taking my truck to Multistate I wasn't informed of the 10 day backlog. If I was told there was going to be a long delay before they could even look at my truck I would have called around to other shops. That's 10 extra days of a rental car. They do good work and charge standard rates, just ask how long their backlog is before taking your vehicle in.Service: Transmission

I ve been going to see Buddy at Multistate since 2018 and since then he is the only mechanic that I trust. He will save you money in the right way and let s you make choices as to which parts you would like to use with advantages and disadvantages. Nobody else has worked on my cars since 2018.
