Buck s took great care of our car! The check in with Lisa was painless and Rick kept us in the loop throughout the entire process. Rick was great about any questions that we had and made sure that we understood everything before it happened. They went through our extended warranty and the entire process was quick and efficient. I appreciate their work and highly recommend!

Absolutely horrible!!! I took my Truck in for transmission issue and not only did it take three weeks to get it back but it's worse now than before to the point t o have to buy another vehicle and they only say bring it in ...how many times should I have to bring it back in? Your shop has been in business a long time but your techs aren't good anymore...I will be co tacti g the BBB and the Federal Trades Comission

I called for an appointment in a Wednesday afternoon and was told to bring in Monday morning for estimates on suspension, airbag light on, and occasional transmission issue. I took it in and tools then I use my vehicle for my income so I can t be without it for very long. After realizing I never got a time I called and was told they were waiting on a lift to evaluate for estimate, but still gave no time frame. I asked if it was gonna be a day or two for estimate and got a yeah, sure response. I m not sure why they had me bring in my car if they were not able to really look at it then. I finally received estimate Wednesday afternoon asks was shocked at the things on there that were not necessary, things not on there that should, and the price quoted. They had work on there that was done less than 18 months earlier (which understand some could have gone bad), oil change for over $130 (full synthetic oil change with conditioners I would get at dealership never cost that much), and the air bag light was not even estimated. I was told they couldn t look at transmission because the vehicle was unsafe to drive until the suspension was fixed, but I don t see why they couldn t look at the airbag light. I showed my uncle the estimate for his advice since he has replaced a rebuilt engine in one of my cars before that looked and drove like it came straight off the manufacturer floor and a stellar career history in vehicle repair both boost and mechanical. He agreed that the estimate was way over priced and that it was possible previous repairs had gone bad again but hard to tell. Next day I go to get my car and my mom is with me (who I purchased the car from), and we are discussing our concerns about estimate. When I asked about the oil change price, they told me it was right and they usually run from $89 to $109. That was lower than the estimate and car is a Ford Flex, nothing fancy. Then lady who initially helped me and wrote up the estimate comes out and was looking into things but was starting to day didn t do airbag light because of vehicle safety. Nothing really made since and I couldn t afford the quoted work anyways. Mom and I were not telling or being ugly but when I asked for car back the office lady was making a big deal about it being tagged unsafe and telling my mom it was for my benefit when my mom was trying to understand what that meant. She then started yelling that we had the keys (which were still in the counter between us) and to leaves, even though mom was already out and holding door open for me. It seemed like she was trying to make my mom feel bad (which she did cause her to almost cry) since we weren t having them do the work and questioning what they reported. I also knew the car was having possible safety concerns when I took it in, the airbag light was on after all, but there was no need for the hostility we received at the shop.

I brought my GMC Acadia to Buck's because it had a shudder in the transmission. Left it there for 4 days and they did not answer the phone or return calls. I texted them and finally got a call back. They said all that was wrong was low transmission fluid. Funny thing is that I checked the fluid before taking the car to them and it registered on the dipstick. They also wanted to sell me spark plugs which had just been replaced about two months earlier. Took them 2 more days to "fill the transmission with some additive" and cost me $186. I drove the car about 1/2 mile and the transmission was still doing the same problem. I tried to contact them back and got a text saying they would "look into it" and of course never bothered to call me back. Buck's wasted a week of my time and $186 of my money. I do not recommend this shop for any work.Update: I changed my review from 1-star to 2-stars because the owner called me to apologize. He laid blame on the tech that worked on my car, but in my mind the owner is really to blame for not making sure the tech is trained. He did not offer to refund my $186 though. Oh well. The good news is that "the transmission shop" (hint) I took my car to in McKinney got it right and my car is running great.

My dodge journey needed work done and when all done it was. Then there was some issues after I picked it up and Rick was about let try to figure out what else is wrong to save the customer money Furthermore my 2012 Honda Odyssey needed AC work and did that job in just a few days. I must say that Rick again explained everything and what customer service he has. Buck is really luck to have someone that cares about the customers not just do the job and get money and on to the next joThanks againAlex Morris

The customer service is commendable here and it really seems like they care. Car problems are so stressful as it is and its really nice to be able to trust and depend on a mechanic that cares. Thank you, Buck's!

I wanted to express my satisfaction with your crew and Rick at your shop. Everyone has been helpful polite and professional. I've had to spend a considerable amount of time and money with shop. Rick went over and above explaining everything he was doing along the associated costs. I can't be more pleased with my involvement with your shop. We encountered some hurdles but Rick had everything under control. You couldn't find a better staff to represent your business.Thank youDouglas Lower

Quick knowledgeable service. Took the time to look into my problem rather than just assume I needed a new transmission( which I did anyway but still). A bit more pricey than other places quotes but had me back on the road in a week as compared to 3 to 4 weeks all other places had said. Very happy with the service and results I got from Rick and the crew there at bucks! Thanks again guys!

We are new to town and were told to try out Bucks. I am so glad we did! I had a turn signal out and was willing to wait till the following week to get in (I called on a Thursday). They were concerned that my light was out, and didn t want me to wait for safety reasons. They got me in the next day and fixed it in less than 10min. They are professional, friendly, and welcoming. If you have a car in need this is the place to go!!!! Thank you!

I have taken my vehicle to Buck's 3 times. The first time was 17 years ago. No problem at all. The next was 3 years ago. Paid about $1400 when I got my truck back it was still doing the same thing. Took it back and the corrected the problem. On my third and definitely last time I will ever take or recommend anyone to Buck's was horrible. I took my truck in because it had a transmission leak. Nothing else wrong with the truck. When I went to pick up my truck the tire was flat and the battery dead. I drove my truck straight home and parked it. On Monday when I drove my truck to work it was not driving correctly. I called the transmission shop and the mechanic stated what he changed and if it something to do with the truck not driving correctly he's not going to fix it. If it drove correctly before I took it in and if they only changed and fixed it correctly then it should run in in the same if not better condition. Poor business etiquette. They had no problem taking my money but not correcting a problem they cause.

Wonderful honest and all around nice people. Everyone there from the time you walk in the door are very nice and never hesitated to help with your situation. I can't say enough about this place. From the time I walked in they listened to my issues with my car, they dealt wonderfully with my warranty company, searched for the part my car needed so it wouldn't take forever to get it fixed and on top of it all I was kept informed what was happening with my car.

The day before my truck was supposed to be finished - I called and found that they hadn't even ordered the new transmission yet. They then hand me a list of items they'd like to repair - one of the items, my AC (which was serviced 2 years ago by the Chevrolet dealer). Wonder of wonders, my AC now has a freon leak and one of the connectors has tool marks on it.Several years ago this was a respectable business. I won't be going back.Service: Transmission

I had a front pump seal put in my transmission at this place and it took 2 weeks. I wasn't to worried about that but when I pick my truck up the exhaust is very loud and it was completely stock when dropped off. They did not put bolts back into the exact when it was reinstalled and want to charge more to fix their mistake. After threats from the owner that he was about to lose his temper and cursing at me I paid and left and am now laying under my truck fixing the exhaust that they screwed up. Do not go here. Very unprofessional organization.

This place was so fantastic. They were so awesome. My mother in law broke down up in Sulfur Springs on the highway hours from any family. They found a tow truck, cleared the bay to make her car first, fixed it in under two hours to get her back on the road. Could have easily price gouged her, but didn t. Awesome shop

I recommend their service to all. Everything was great starting from the moment I called. They let me come right in and immediately started to diagnose the problem. Once diagnosed they asked me about my vehicle warranty and even took the time to call the dealership to check on my warranty and indeed my problem was still covered under warranty and they even set me up with an appointment with the dealership. Thank you Mr. Buck for being more concerned about people than making money! I am forever grateful to you and your staff!

Went in to get repairs & the repairs were done & done well. Very thorough. I was told what else was wrong & how it could be fixed also. This place really takes care of their customers. I've only been in the area almost 6 years & I've been to 6 different mechanics/places. Not one has fixed my vehilce properly & did what they said they'd do...but those places sure took my money (probably charged me more than needed actually). Not only did Buck's fix my engine repair, but THEY FIXED A SQUEAKY DOOR HINGE I HAD TOO!!! Omg, it's a rareity to find anyone to go a step up & do a little extra at no charge. Mind blown! This place has another lifetime customer. Thanks so much Buck's! I'll be back for sure!!!

Great work got my truck up and going had a couple of issues but they worked with me and we're able to work it out a little pricey it's but Hey you get what you pay for and when it comes to transmissions you might want to spend a little bit more than the bottom dollar to get good work

We had them rebuild the transmission on our mini van which supposedly had a 2 year warranty. A few months later the transmission started acting up so we took it back and they did not want to accept the warranty and said they would look at it to see what the problem was. After they said that it would be $300 to fix the problem that should have been covered under the warranty we declined and picked our van up, and it was running much worse than we dropped it off and he charged us $150 to make it run worse... After that we took it back, picked it up again, still ran bad. On the third time of them looking at it, it ran about the same as it did when we dropped it off the first time. Wouldn't have been nearly as mad about the whole situation, but the guy i dealt with was a douchebag about the whole ordeal, he kept saying that he was doing us a favor even though it was still under warranty. Long story short DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these people, they are terrible mechanics.
