Took my truck in so they could fix an oil leak. They said they would get it done the day after i dropped my truck off. They had it over a week, and whenever I tried to call, the guy who answers the phone was rude and kept saying they would do it "the next day". I get my truck back, its still leaking oil, although not as bad. After getting under it, i noticed they cut my exhaust to drop the transmission, and did an awful job welding it back on, so its leaking. I called to let them know, and they were very rude, saying it was like that before when it wasnt. Their price is tempting, but you will end up paying more to get someone to properly fix your vehicle.

Paid $1200 to have the transmission in my car replaced. I thought that seemed like a pretty good deal. Well, within the year, the transmission went bad again. Thankfully they honored their 1 year warranty. All is good, right? Not quite. Once I got my car back from the warranty work and within a day of driving, all the transmission fluid had drained out of the transmission (I'm guessing either the drain plug wasn't tight or there was a bad axle seal). Well, I towed the vehicle back to the shop, and they said they would take care of it. 5 years later, I am still trying to get my vehicle repaired or a refund. There have been many phone calls had that resulted in them hanging up on me, many visits that resulted in being ignored. 5 years and a transmission shop cannot fix or replace the transmission. They claim there are no transmissions available, but there are plenty available, either online or from various salvage yards. I know the cheaper price tag may be tempting, but don't fall for it like I did. I'm sure the engine oil has turned to sludge by this point, along with the tires being dry rotted and the battery dead from years of sitting around.Service: Transmission

Bad place. Will not stand by their warranty. Poses as a christian man, so we gave him 6 years to do the right thing. Never fixed the bad job done on the transmission. Wont refund our money for the original work. Just always lies with "next week", "cant find the part", to "all these transmissions have been crushed, cant get one". Lies, we can pull rebuilt transmission for this car up online for sale. Do not use this place. It needs to close up.Service: Transmission

I took my older truck up there, and have had nothing but issues. It never stopped leaking. It had a late shift into third gear. The only good thing I can say about them is they never turned me down for a warranty claim. Which was 4 times and always has a new leak every time I got it back.

I have never been lied to as much as I have at this place, 12 weeks worth of lies and we picked up the truck and transmission, $700.00 for nothing, this was supposed to be warranted but Dale refused to honor it. Instead he said for $700.00 he would repair it. Well no refund on the money and we had to get the Greenville Police to help us get the transmission. No new parts. You would be crazy to trust this place to do it correct.

I brought a 2009 Hyundai Accent to Bowers Transmission for repair the first week of April, 2018. It took them until 23 April, 2018 to complete the repair job.I paid for the repair with my Credit Card prior to picking up the car. Upon arriving, I noticed a large pool of red transmission fluid underneath the vehicle. When I pointed this out to Gary Bowers, he stated that was because he overfilled the transmission and not to worry.Upon driving the vehicle, I didn t make it more than � mile from the transmission shop before the transmission began slipping. They blamed it on a bad battery. I replaced the battery with the same results.They finally admitted they had a leaky seal. Weeks went by and they had me come pick up the car again. Since they had already been paid for this car, it was always at the back of the line, priority wise. They called, and I picked up the car again only to have the exact same results. These people have consistently lied to me as to when the car would be done, and that they actually repaired the vehicle.The car is still at their facility in a state of disrepair. These people are incompetent, dishonest, and crooked.

Mr Bowers does great work. He has replaced 2 transmissions for me without a issue. I had one transmission replaced by the transmission shop down the road from Bowers Transmissions and had major problems.

It's family owned know them for years they fix all my vehicle would not go anywhere else the experience and years of knowledge speaks for it self keep up the good work #1 in my book!!

Not only is the one of the first state parks, it is the cleanest park we've stayed in the TPWD system. If you get a chance to go, there are some things to see that you wouldn't expect in that area of prairie.
