Took my car in for a diagnosis and Rob and his team checked out the issue. Rob researched technical bulletins from the manufacturer as well. He explained in detail what was wrong and gave me several cost options as well as the warranty coverage for each to help me make the best decision for my repair.

Took my 2015 Chevrolet truck and they determined the best option was to replace the transmission rather than rebuild due to parts difficulty. Great work in short order with a fair price. My battery was dead and they actually replaced it through NAPA with the warranty for me. Would most definitely recommend them to anyone. Shop was extremely clean and I felt comfortable after talking to them. I am going to have them do some work on my older cars as well.Service: Transmission replacement

I took my 2013 Audi to Grapevine Transmission to get a second opinion after I was told by a another German car repair shop I needed to replace it. Unfortunately Rob confirmed I needed to replace my trans and informed me my engine mounts were pretty much shot, which I already knew. I decided to go with GV Automatic transmission to replace the trans & engine mounts. I was so pleasantly surprised by his honesty by telling me he would only charge me labor for one of the engine mounts because the other was part of the transmission work. I obviously knew nothing about transmission replacement so would have not known this. His work was not only excellent, but also much more affordable than what was quoted by the specialty German shop for only the trans work. I have since referred two other friends and would highly recommend his shop to anyone.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Transmission replacement

Brought my truck here a few months ago for some overdue maintenance, exchanging fluids for the transmission, transfer case, both front/rear differentials. Returned a few weeks later and replaced both CV axels in the frost as they were worn. Both times it drove off the lot feeling like a new ride!Super clean when you walk in, welcoming atmosphere, and quality services provided by an honest family-owned business. Rob and his team are very knowledgeable in their craft, and will lay out options that are best suited to you and your vehicle s needs. It quickly became clear to me that they care about the work that they do. Will definitely be returning.

Great owners, professional service and one super clean shop! Rob replaced a transmission for us this week. The job come in at the estimated quote which was much lower than the three others we received. To our delight, it was completed two days early and had us back on the road. There was also an issue with the battery which he could have easily replaced and charged me for but instead recommended that I return to the place of purchase for warranty purposes. Very honest and made spending a large sum of money for repairs bearable.

My car needed a great deal of work and I found Rob's estimate to be better than most garages I have been to for the work that needed to be done. Because of the amount of work that needed to be done I was dropping it off with the expectation that I would not pick it up until the end of the week. Getting a call 3 days later that it was ready blew my mind! But what blew my mind more is the fact that I think the car runs better now than it did when I bought it! Wow! Excellent customer service and excellent care for both the vehicle and the customer! Would highly recommend them to everyone!

Transmission went out on our Trailblazer while we were in the area, so we had it towed to Grapevine Automatic for repair.Service was prompt, other issues (wheel bearing and brakes) were relayed to me so I could decide if they should be addressed, and prices were iterated up front and there were no surprises. The fixes (remanufactured transmission and new wheel bearing) have been great so far, and overall prices I felt were fair.Service: Transmission

Since I've moved to Texas this has been the first place I've gone every time my Jeep needed repairs. Rob and his team here are trustworthy, friendly, and care about making sure your car is fixed quickly and at a fair price. They also do a great job of giving you options, updating you throughout the process, and ensuring a job well done.They also do much more than transmission repairs so definitely give them a call first and they will recommend someone great if their shop doesn't do the work.

Unfortunately had to have a transmission swap. I did some shopping around and am thankful to have come across this company. Rob is extremely knowledgeable and honest. Solid work done and trustworthy estimates. Definitely recommend this shop.

Rob is the guy to see! Communicated through the entire process. I was looking for a honest shop to take a look at my 79 power wagon when it started shifting rough. He made a few adjustments and now it's driving great. Saved me time and money. Highly recommend for any classic!

First let me start by saying that I have never dealt with such a Honest repair shop. I brought my my car here and was completely vulnerable because I knew nothing about Transmissions. My car was not able to be repaired here because of the year make and model. My point is that they were honest !!!! They didn't take advantage of me and told the truth. My wife and I have taken our vehicles to Rob for diagnosis and repair. Honesty is hard to find, but Rob and his staff are very straight about what they can and can't do, and his recommendations are solid. I even tested them when I first visited on the parts prices they would charge me, as I already had access to wholesale pricing from a parts house. The prices quoted me were not marked up at all, so I knew I wasn't going to be gouged.Each time we have taken vehicles to Grapevine Automatic, the final bill is less than the estimate, and the work is done right and lasts.I'm glad I discovered this little gem of a shop in Grapevine. Highly recommend their services.

What can I say? First of all, Rob and the crew are awesome. I have a 2001 GMC YUKON that needed a complete front end suspension overhaul. Rob called before ordering the parts and we coordinated on which direction to go, OEM or aftermarket. After talking it over we went with quality parts from his supplier. With labor and parts I was very happy with the end results and the price. I HIGHLY reccomend Grapevine Automatic for your auto repairs!!

I highly recommend this transmission shop! I have had two trucks worked on here, both with great results.The first truck needed the transmission rebuilt. This was 2 years ago, and the transmission is still shifting like new.The second truck had bearings replaced as well as replacing some parts that a different shop had not done correctly years before. I am so glad to have this truck back working the way it is supposed to!

Over the last 3 years my envoy has needed a bit of work. From upper and lower control arms, new tie rods, new steering rack, a few alignments, and most recently the AC Compressor. Each time I have taken it to Grapevine Automatic because of their great service and reasonable rates. This most recent incident involving the AC Compressor, I had it at another shop in town and they quoted me almost $2,000. That was way more than I wanted to put into a 15 yr old car. I had Rob give it another look and he quoted me almost half that. The only slight inconvenience (if you call it that) was they were a little late on their original timeframe to completion due to getting an incorrect part, which Rob had called to explain to me anyway. If you need repair work at reasonable rates and decent turnaround time, give them a call!

Great all the way around! I was happy to get my truck looked at for an estimate the same day I brought it in, and above that my truck was able to be repaired 2 full hours prior to the estimated completion time. Excellent service, remarkably fair price too, A+. Thank you!

Excellent service at a very competitive price. Get quotes from other locations and then compare Grapevine Transmission s prices. My rebuilt transmission was $500 less than the next best price and has a 100,000 mile GMC factory warranty.

I called Grapevine Automatic because I knew them as friends and thought they might know someone who could install an engine in a Lexus for me. To my surprise Rob mentioned that they could preform an engine swap for me. Not only did they do a great job on the work but they were able to source the engine for me as well. it was quick and easy and my car is great.
