I've been using Economy Cycle as my primary parts supplier since they opened many years ago. This place is a great resource for the vintage two-stroke community! I don t know what I would do without them. Outstanding customer service and prices, and they have excellent technical support and product knowledge. Orders are delivered super-fast, so if I need something to get a bike running in a hurry they always pull though for me. I can t say enough good things about John & Terry. They keep all my vintage Yamaha two-stokes running, as well as all the bikes I work on for friends and my local customers.

I have used Economy Cycle many times over the years. Every transaction has been a positive experience. John and Terry place the highest priority on Customer Service and Satisfaction. A particular experience comes to mind: While on vacation, my phone rang and showed an unfamiliar phone number. As a person who deals with spam calls and telemarketers quite frequently, I have developed a particularly sarcastic and aggressive response to said calls. Imagine my surprise when the person calling from the unknown number was the business owner, John, of Economy Cycle. John then proceeded to help me to correct my order, which resulted in a less expensive order amount, and provided me with the correct parts. This is a business owner who prioritizes customer satisfaction over profitability. Sadly, these types of businesses are becoming rarer and rarer. If you have an opportunity to utilize Economy Cycle as a vendor, you will not be sorry.5/5 Gold Stars. Would and will use Economy Cycle in the future.

John and Terry have been great to work with for the past decade! They are quick to make a phone call and email when I have questions regarding my products. They have gone out of their way to help me return products to manufactures! Great people! Thanks for keeping the RD400 (and more) alive and well!

I have used economy cycle for several years. Nothing but great things to say about them. Orders leave the same day always correct. My 1976 RD 400 would not be the bike it is without there help. I purchased a VAPE electronic ignition system from them and it fell apart internally. When I called they said sent it back and they sent me a new one and dealt with the manufacture themselves.Always willing to help with advise also. Great asset to the 2 stroke community.

I would like to say John and Terry that own Economy Cycle is the Best motorcycle company I ever had to get the parts I needed for my Yamaha 1970 R5 350.They are outstanding He had ever part I needed. They specialize in Yamaha RD older motorcycles and many other parts and other motorcycles this place is outstanding. The service was incredible I had to have two carburetors rebuilt down here in South Florida no one could do anything with the carburetors. After 6 months waiting to get my R5 fix. I talk to John I knew he was the One. I pick The carburetors up and send them overnight to John I said there was no hope. They were totally taken apart he said let me give them a try. I said to myself No way they could be Rebuilt then in a few weeks he said they are all done he said it s better keep the original Carburetors. When they were sent back to me I was so happy with the outstanding work he did. And his wife was so polite talking to me. Now I can ride My Yamaha R5 again and enjoy myself. As a appreciation for the outstanding work and starting my R5 back up and it run better then from the day I bought it about Year 1 year ago. I made John take out $100.00 extra from my credit card for him an his wife to have a nice dinner on me. Thanks so much John and Terry.

Great selection, fast shipping, shipping rates to Canada are fair. Staff are knowledgeable and willing to help. I have placed several orders over the last several years, and I'm sure I'll place more.

I've been buying parts for my vintage Yamaha motorcycles from Economy Cycle for years. Prices are fair, shipping is quick, and customer service is second to none. In these times of faceless mega-corporations dominating the online retail world, John and Terry are a real blessing to have around. Knowledgeable folks who care about providing the very best service possible.

I have been a customer since 2010, and John is my go-to source for anything for my RD350s - yes that is plural - when more than one place carries the parts. I even order my factory parts through him.He has always answered questions and provided excellent customer service. His advice is always good.He and his wife Terry are wonderful in taking care of me and my orders - if there is a hold-up I'm called or emailed and John has a contact # on my cell phone - something I use infrequently because I prefer conversation with him laid back in my home office chair. He is not just a great businessman, but a friend.

John and Terry are the best. I have been dealing with them for years. They provide an invaluable service to vintage motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide providing top quality OEM, aftermarket and reproduction parts packaged perfectly and shipped quickly. Furthermore they stand behind their parts and are always ready to provide expert technical assistance to the customer in a fashion seldom scene in today's retail environment. Thanks for being there for us.

Economy Cycle is an amazingly valuable resource for vintage 2-stroke enthusiasts. I've been very happy especially with the reproduction parts they have available for my RD400. You won't find those items anywhere else. They're my primary source for my current restoration project.

The best 2 stroke parts company to deal with. Very friendly, helpful but most importantly fair!! It is a true passion to keep these 50+ year old vehicles on the road and Economy (John) has personally taken his time to talk through options and get me the right parts as well as providing service on engine components. This is a company you can trust.

John and Terry are GREAT people who go above and beyond to help and assist you. I've placed numerous LARGE orders over the last few months and the experience has been far and above what you would expect. There were a few items I had ordered that were back ordered and as soon as they came in the items were out the door on their way to me. Will absolutely be doing business with them again!

i had the pleasure of meeting john and terry a couple of weeks ago when i dropped of a crankshaft to be rebuilt. his knowledge is extensive. as well as his parts in stock. when i went to pick up my crank, he spent a considerable amount of time sharing his knowledge as i was buying the parts i needed.. he showed me the differences tween the oem items and the knockoffs. and he never made me feel uncomfortable for taking the cheaper route. but he was quick to let me know on a few items, the cheaper route would end up costing me more. He dipped into his parts to help me get some items i was missing.. all in all.. what a great guy and resource to the rd community... truly happy.and as for his wife terry, what a wonderful person to be around. and thank god she is there... she knows where everything is lol..

I would not recommend the repair services of John at Economy Cycle.UPDATE: While John truthfully states he has been in business for 16 years, he incorrectly states he has not been in touch with me for months.I have received five emails from John in the span of two days to me on 2/17 - 2/18/22 and he only stopped when I indicated I was going to spam block him due to the ongoing inaccurate statements and what is considered Harassment at this point. Furthermore, John has witnesses at the Courthouse on the day in which he lost in claims against him and counterclaims he filed. He threatened me to fight before the start of the case in front of witnesses, including his wife and attorney. John also states Death Threats were made yet there is no police report he ever filed. John states this while he openly threatens me in front of witnesses. My opinion is John continually over-committed and under-delivered, including a three-month delay on repairs, continual excuses for reasons, passive-aggressive text messages, unwillingness to provide consistent and periodic updates, repairs over budget by over $3000 with no advance notification and delivery of a bike that runs worse that when brought to Economy Cycle.Additionally, the bike was returned unsafe due to returning with a unfinished repair to the right rear-set that was clearly in scope for repairs and a bike that cannot be driven at highway speeds safely due to an engine not properly tuned despite paying for a full tuneup and carb rebuild and tuning. The bike runs worse than when I delivered it for restoration work.As of 9/7/21, John at Economy Cycle refused to repair the defective state of the unsafe motorcycle he returned to me.After filing a Dispute with Citi, the Dispute was resolved in my favor on November 4, 2021.This investigation was conducted by Citi's investigation unit, in conjuntion with Economy Cycle's banking merchant. The Dispute was resolved in my favor after reviewing all documentation, including quotes, status updates, invoices, emails and text messages.Issues cited supporting my claim include but were not limited to the following:1) Part and tax charges for a customer furnished item2) Duplicate charges for multiple installed parts (e.g. >1 oil drain plug)3) Duplicate charges for multiple items with different quantities4) Charges for Powder-Coating that were 300 -400% higher than market rates5) Work not completed and refused to be completed6) Parts price changes after previously noting work complete on estimate & status update7) Labor changes after previously noting work complete on estimate & status update8) Missing parts/Services not Completed/Safety IssuesAdditionally, Economy Cycle was taken to Small Claims Court on February 10th, 2022 where monetary judgement was awarded on my behalf. John's Counterclaim was dismissed on this same date. When I asked John and his Attorney about payment, John threatened me in the presence of his Attorney, Wife and to the point the Court Bailiff intervened .John also invited me outside to fight outside the Court in front of the presence of the County Clerk's office, his Attorney and wife just before the Case started. It is expected based on John's behavior and threats that he does not intend to pay the Judgement awarded by the Courts.Additionally, my parts were finally returned to me during Court proceedings, parts which I have been asking for since early September 2021.My personal opinion is John does not possess the disposition and attention to detail I want for someone entrusted to work on any of my vintage RD and RZ motorcycles. While John has a lot of good reviews, they are largely for customers he has shipped parts to - not done mechanical work. It is my opinion his core competency is shipping parts. There are other motorcycle repair shops focused on RD and RZ's that in my opinion are far more customer focused, stay on budget, communicate without making you feel guilty about wanting to know the status of your bike with better quality work done on-time and within budget.
