I consigned my 1999 Ford E150 van with John at Godley Auto Sales and Service. John did an excellent job of marketing and advertising the van with excellent results. The van was sold in a reasonable time frame, and the price was very fair for both me as the seller, and the new owner.The fee he charged was very fair. He communicated with me on a regular basis to share interest in the van. I cannot be more pleased with John. I feel he is an honest and caring person that you can trust to assist you in either potentially selling your vehicle, or in purchasing your next vehicle.I highly recommended John, and I will be very happy to personally speak to anyone interested.Terrell McGath, Godley Texas

Are you struggling to find an honest used car dealer? Look no further than John at Godley Auto! John was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He goes above and beyond in everything. He even allowed us to return the car a week after purchase to make a couple of repairs that appeared. You simply won't find this kind of attention and service just anywhere in the used car market. Give John a chance to earn your business!

Great experience. His friendliness felt genuine, rather than that "salesman mask" we all know. Also didn't try to hide ANYTHING, made sure I saw the car fax, pointed out a couple things he thought I might miss, and even put the car on the lift so we could get a good look at the underside. He's got an older Avalon with only 60k miles in near perfect condition for $12k, one of yall better go buy it, cause that's a steal!

I'll try to keep this brief and on point for everyone. I drive on average a combined 2.5 hours everyday to and from work. Needed to park my big gas-hog SUV, but still needed a vehicle that has sizeable cargo space. Also, need a reliable, dependable vehicle. One with an engine/trans that with proper, basic maintenance can go 200-300k without a hiccup. Saw John's listing for a single owner Toyota Avalon, slightly older, but still in good condition, low-mid miles too for the year. Just as another patron mentioned in a previous post, I showed up to "steal" it, and John even helped me do it! Even going so far as to help me get reestablished with my old credit union so I could get a lower interest rate. Most any other salesman wouldn't have wasted a moment of their time doing leg work like making calls, sending faxes, etc. All on my behalf. Especially considering most have their own banks that they finance through which likely benefits both. John did a lot of "free" work to get this deal ran thru for me. Says that making his customers happy is worth way more! John was easy, even fun to work with. Has an easy-going personality and a good sense of humor. He knows people are spending their hard earned money at his business, and he worked hard at making everything as smooth as possible for me when making this purchase. Would most definitely recommend coming in to see what he has available to you as far as used vehicles. Thank you John for getting me into my spacious and dependable Toyota Avalon!

After weeding through all of the dishonest salesman and calling the last car on my list, I called Godley Auto Sales and spoke to John. The car I called about was sold and I was about to hang up, he said he just got a very nice car in he felt I would really like. He convinced me to come in, also sent pictures. My daughter and I drove all the way to Godley TX. John is a man of integrity. The car was exactly as he said and the pictures revealed. He was fair and still provided the same service washing the car himself. My daughter and I are very pleased with the car and I am pleased with the integrity and fairness of this dealership. I would highly recommend his service.

I live in Mansfield and searched the area for a vehicle for my daughter in law who had recently totalled her car. The cars in my area in our price range were basically junk and most had salvaged titles. Luckily I came across Godley Auto sales in Godley tx on Facebook. We purchased a 2015 jeep patriot and couldn't be happier. The vehicle was everything that the description stated in the ad. This is a very clean and cool shop and the owner is straight forward and honest. I would definitely do business here again. 5 stars

When I say this place treats you like family, they really do! My husband and I had been searching for a reliable work truck and stumbled upon this little gem right next door to us! I had an AMAZING experience with John! He was very kind, patient, understanding, and gave me zero haggle when I sold my car to him. He paid me out right on that day without any come back tomorrow terms. His customer service was so attentive and never once made me feel that I was being swindled. Which can happen sometimes with selling older used vehicles to a car lot. His saying where a handshake still means something could not be more true! I am very blessed to have made my sale with someone who isn t out to take advantage of your situation. Thank you so much John. I will highly recommend your services to anyone without a second thought!

I want to start by saying Mr. Saunders is one of the nicest men I ve ever met. My work truck broke down and I found a truck at his place but only had about half the money on hand. After telling him about my situation he lowered the price of the truck enough for the bank to finance the rest. He could have easily sold the truck full price to a cash customer. I ve had the truck for two weeks and it s a great truck at a great price. The buying process was great also because buying an older used vehicle is so hard he even gave me a rental car until the process was complete. While I was waiting in his shop I overheard him helping a customer that needed suspension work done on his truck. The parts were real expensive and again he was willing to lower his profit just to help a customer. I highly recommend this man if you need vehicle repair or in need of a quality used vehicle. I will be a life long customer.

John went so far out of his way to sell my car. There was some complications with the paperwork out of his hands, but he took care of it, which was really my responsibility. He s extremely honest, and will go out of his way for any service he does for you. He s got my business for life. It s refreshing to meet someone new, who will do what he did for me.

Last week my mom and I went shopping for a good used car for her. We looked at a Honda Fit they had for sale here. We ended up not buying it only because we found a different one for sale elsewhere that had the feature we really actually wanted. But since we almost bought the one from Godley Auto Sales we had the opportunity to get to know John, the owner. We found that he is incredibly friendly and honest. We especially appreciated his transparency on where the car came from and what he had done to it once he received it. Next time we are in the market for a used car we will certainly be calling up John to see if he has what we are looking for. Thanks again John!

TLDR Great place with even better pricesLong story: I bought a 2013 Toyota Prius V with 61k miles for $16,900 in May of 2023. I did 1 test drive and immediately had him hold it for me for a week while I figured out how to get a loan. He was able to do that and after 1 last inspection I bought it a week later and he took care of all the registration and getting my permanent license which was a great help. In my first week I discovered more cosmetic issues and heard a creaking (turned out to be a twig underneath rubbing) but for the most part it was things I live with. I will say it could have been cleaner in the nooks and crannies but I always do a deep clean when I buy a car just in case so it wasn't a problem. If I had to give a note for feedback it felt like they should have had 1 more salesman hired as there were pretty long wait times on agreed appointments. However depending on when you are reading this, they will most likely have improved.

Places like this make me miss that small town love and care! These guys went out of their way to help us with a trunk issue! They easily could have put us off because we were just visitors traveling through! Not these guys, they treated us as if we knew each other for years!
