James got us in and out in 3 days on a transmission rebuild on our 2002 Suburban. And the cost of the service was half what other shops were quoting us. Very satisfied with the work, the price, and the service.

As far as I'm concerned, other transmission shops don't exist. Honest, Affordable and robot like precision. If your ride's transmission needs some attention, look no further. The guys at J&J will get you back on the road in no time.

These guys really shocked me with how quick they had me back on the road I took my truck to them on Monday evening to get my transmission rebuilt around 3:00pm on a trailer non drivable and they called me and said it was ready for me to pick up on Wednesday around 1:00pm I would recommend them to anybody I appreciate it Mr JamesService: TransmissionService: Transmission

We are new to the area and called so many transmission shops before we called J & J in gladewater. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. He had the truck towed in that evening to rebuild the transmission and two days later he called saying that it was fixed. I went in to pick up and pay, not knowing I had a cut off limit with my bank. I was on the phone for close to a hour with them trying to get him paid. He allowed me to pay what the bank allowed for the day and told me to come back Monday to pay the rest. I got to take my truck home and not worry about how I'd get to work all weekend because he trusted me and my word. That speaks volumes for a business. He gained any future business from me and I'd send him customers without hesitation. Truck is running better than when I first bought it. Thank you guys for getting me on the road again.

They have overhauled 3 transmissions for us so far. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Their prices are better than most and their warranty is excellent. Highly recommend.

I was feeling nervous about my transmission while driving from Marshall to Tyler. I ran over to J & J after being turned away at 3 other places closer to I-20. James came out, gave it the "once over," and had me on my way, confidently, in 10 minutes. I can promise that if I ever need actual transmission work done, this will be the place I go!

I don't usually (really "ever") write google reviews, but this was an exceptional experience.Called and talked to the owner, asking for a price on a transmission rebuild. He quoted a price and then asked me why i thought I needed a rebuild. I described the issues. He said I might need a rebuild but it could also be something small - "why pay for a rebuild if you don't really need one". He said he would evaluate it free and let me know what he found.The evaluation did confirm that i needed a rebuild. I took it in - two days later it was ready to go. While he had the transmission out, he found a seal in my front differential (4 wheel drive) that was allowing transmission fluid to leak into the differential. Had that not been identified, I could have ruined a new rebuild. He also found that a previous rebuild had used a part designed for a v6 car - I have a v8 truck. He fixed that and several other issues. I picked up my truck a few days ago. 12 month warranty - unlimited mileage.I've been in management for 30 years so I know great customer service and experience when I see it. This is it. James took the time to talk to me, explain everything, and paid attention to every detail. His final price was - to the penny - what I was quoted. Truck is back on the road and the customer is elated. Well done.

Very honest and dependable. Took in my Dodge and they were very knowledgeable. Much cheaper than expected and my Truck runs great. They suggested an additional cooler for the transmission for pulling with a trailer. Have not had any problems since! Thanks!

This guy won me over when I stopped by on a busy afternoon with a random shake in my truck shortly after picking it up from a different transmission shop. He quickly climbed under the truck and fixed me up.with a quick cheap part and sent me on my way. I later took my wife's truck to him for a transmission rebuild. He told me he would have the truck back to me b Wednesday...he called on a Tuesday and I picked it up. He stuck to his quote, and the truck has never ran any better!!

Dropped off my 99 Tahoe for the 4l60e rebuild, had my wheels back in 3 days, new converter, replaced rear main seal, Mr. James went over everything in detail. Reasonable price, stands behind his work, will be a return customer if I buy anymore fixer uppers.

I took my truck into have the transmission serviced and the owner, James evaluated the transmission and gave me several recommendation. The main one he cleaned a vent and suggested I drive it some more and not replace any seals at this time. Great advice assuming the next suggestion would have cost me over $500.
