I wouldn't recommend staying here. I travel a lot for business and stay at mostly lower end motels, so I generally know the type of accommodations I'll be receiving. Everything was good. First arrived, there was plenty of parking, the room itself was spacious and in good shape. My problem came in when throughout the evening. I killed over a dozen cockroaches. When I brought this to the attention of the person working the front desk, the only response I got was "okay". When I asked if they were going to do anything about it she said " I'll tell them".

Sparse accommodations. Clean and very basic. Lots of strong hot water for showers. The in-room coffee was nice. The included "breakfast" is nothing to note; coffee and pre-packaged rolls.We did find a couple of good breakfast spots in Giddings. The best was called "Donuts and Breakfast". It was a place to sleep for our time at the Round Top antiques show.

Purchased online thru Google on Wyndham/Super 8 the day before... Nice check in, pleasantly decorated room and amenities for a 2 star. The USB ports and plugs on the working bedside lamps were clutch for charging phones. Toilet paper roll spring and holder missing/broken. Safe is in room under open clothes rack, didn't need it, but is available. Hair dryer and single cup coffee maker at bathroom sink. Fridge kept leftovers cool. My husband carries so when we returned at 830 pm after dining out at Los Patrones excellent meal, we had to pass 3 men drinking beer and "cooking" idk what from the back of a pickup backed up next to an open motel door and hanging out talking about "passing out the last time I tried it" around the only stairwell to our 2nd floor room, I wasn't concerned for my safety, my husband acknowledged them and we walked past them and upstairs but anyone traveling solo would be easy pickin. Had to get under the TV cabinet to plug in TV and Directv to wall, no sound at first, figured out the remote triple A batteries dead. My husband took it back downstairs to front desk when he decided to secure tools and tires in the bed of the truck locked into cab to minimize theft as this was a parking lot of work trucks for contractors and more than likely thieves know to drive thru and look for easy pickins. No batteries to give him at front desk, but she would contact the manager, no need to its after 9pm, going to bed. Manager still stopped by but I already found controls on the TV, old school found a show and watching and already in bed. The office made every effort to take care of the TV issue, it was too late and I used the TV buttons, every TV has them, had to search the back found them on one side with phone flashlight. The bed was decent for me, my husband is a big dude and he said it was not comfortable, I was just exhausted didnt care, ac was cold and we like a meat locker setting, hot shower was good but soft water makes it slippery be careful, hair dryer needed reset button pushed to get green light worked gr8, easy single serve coffee tysm! ... we just needed a place overnight, first and only time in Giddings to purchase farm equipment. The ac and bathroom exhaust fan are enough white noise, I slept fine, I remember I did hear a train in the distance once that was a frequent multiple times complaint in other motels closer to the tracks, this location no prob. We were in the second floor room at front of motel. TyRooms: Comfortable bed, cold a/cNearby activities: Los patrones restaurant, there is a baby sized buc-ees across the street.Safety: Motel rooms directly to outdoor parking lot. Rif Raf hanging out around only stair access.

Stayed here for one hour but the air conditioning did not work. Hot as hell in the room. I checked out and still had to pay as if I stayed in a room that had everything working like it should, like air conditioning! This is a cheap hotel and they don't care and will charge you full price if anything is not as it should be. Do not stay at this hotel and find another with a/c! I want my 86 dollars back!

Where do I start. Pros: A/C worked. Bed OK. Now the Cons: refrigerator did not work, Direct TV out most of the night, no ice anywhere on the property, Everytime someone flushed there commode it sounded like a freight train through the pipes. Save your money on this place and stay at the Best Western in town. Lessons learned, never again.

My wife and I were quite impressed with how well kept this place was. We just stayed a quick night due to a trail race the next morning and enjoyed our stay. My expectations were much lower for Super 8 in the middle of nowhere. I would stay here again.

I would not trust the photos it is misleading. My ceiling was sagging a foot and a half. I felt so unsafe I had to leave due to being unable to sleep for fear the ceiling would fall in. It was definitely unsafe. I really hope that when that entire ceiling collapses, no one is in the room.The service was poor. It definitely was a roach motel. I will not return here again.

Being right beside the highway, it was very hard to get any rest with all the truck noise. Found a cockroach on my second night there and even though I requested a non smoking room on the reservation, I was still given a smoking room. Towels were tiny, shower was violently overpowered. Located in the same lot as a funeral home.Noteworthy details: Cockroaches, need I say more?

They have cockoraches first off. Not clean at all. JUST VERY GROSS. Wouldn't recommend staying there unless you want to take cockroaches home with you. Towels were nasty with holes in them, mold in the bathroom, holes and cracks in the walls.The pictures are not true. Tried to get my money back they said no they couldn't help me just switch rooms. If their are cockoraches in 2 rooms there in the whole hotel. I had 2 rooms with 5 kids and had to leave in the middle of the night because the cockoraches were so bad and nasty. My kids couldn't sleep. I wish they would of refunded me my money. I know now never stay at a Super8 ever again.

The Good:- Clean spacious room.- Quiet (my room is located at the south end of the building away from 290).- Housekeeping every day.- Plenty of hot water.- A/C works.The Not So Good:- Hundreds of dead June Bugs covering the walkways.- TV works intermittently.I agree with another reviewer who said "It's OK for one night".

Air conditioning did not work properly, evaporator coil was full of dirt and debris, preventing proper unit operation. Causing temperature ofroom to be uncomfortable. Bathtub valves did not seal properly causing bathtub to leak all night. Fridge leaked water causing my daughter to slip in the room. Notified front desk. Definitely not worth staying here if little issues like this are never properly addressed.

1 star because I had to in order to write this review. BEWARE! Stay elsewhere! We booked online the most expensive room King Superior Suite Non-Smoking thinking it would be at least decent. WRONG! After taxes the room for one night was $160. And the place was disgusting. We wouldn t even sit on the couch. The view when sitting on the toilet was so gross. And the front desk clerk was so rude. When we checked out & showed her the pictures, she said she would never rent that room out, but since we booked online & paid online...sorry, you get what you get. THAT S IT! Customer service sucks & so did the room!

Great location, good customer service.The room was not the cleanest. The shampoo and lotion bottles were open like they had been refilled, baseboards were dirty and random spots on walls.There was on outlet not covered. Thank goodness my kids weren't with me.The door knob to get in was loose and the latch kept getting stuck. Made it very hard to get into my room.

Very clean rooms. Clean beds, linens etc. clean pooI, nothing fancy, but clean! Rented four rooms total for my large family. No reservations, no Expedia, just walked in the front lobby and asked for four rooms, preferably all next to each other facing the pool. Was able to get three in a row and the fourth just a couple doors further down. All rooms were CLEAN! If your looking for fancy, then don t look for a motel where you park by your door.If you need a place to stay at the last minute, this is one of the cleanest drive up to your door motels I ve stayed in.Mgr, even came out and turned the pool lights on for my kids!!!

Visitng Texas and Roundtop for first time. This by far, was the worst hotel and experience I have ever had. Bugs in the bathroom along with mold on the baseboards and around the tub. If there ever was a bed that had bed bugs this would be the place to take some home with you.We were forced to stay there because this is an incredibly busy time due to Roundtop Antiques Show nearby. Please take my advice, do not stay there!!!!

I booked a non smoking room online, but was told when I arrived I had a smoking only room and they didn t have any non-smoking rooms left. If I left I d be charged for a late cancellation. Room was okay . Didn t smell too bad but the bed was dirty, very disgusting. Stains and hair in the sheets. I slept in my clothes on top of a towel. I didn t expect a fancy room, or even great service, but the least they could do is change out the sheets between guests. And if they re stained and won t come clean, please replace them..won t stay again. I ll just pay a little more and stay at the Best Western next time.

It was clean but it had some unusual features like stairs leading to the tub / shower combo... and they were carpeted - which I think is kind of gross. And they have staff that doesn't speak very good English so at times it was a bit of a language barrier. But the accommodations were really okay and the parking was good so overall no real problems.

The first time I ve ever wanted to give a place negative stars. We were so tired after a long drive and ready to check into our hotel we booked weeks ago. We were asked for a $100 cash deposit and since it was late we asked if we could put it on our credit card. The front desk guy got so upset and told us to leave. Everyone else in front of us didn t have to pay $100 deposit, and we were willing to pay but just wanted to put it on our card. I understand places have the right to refuse service, but all we did was ask a question and we told to get out because we were messing with his business. I seriously still have no idea how this happened. It was probably for the best though, because the place looked like a dump!

The updates rooms which includes the masterfully arranged interior were just amazing. The absence of carpet was very beneficial to my allergies. The breakfast was fresh hot and delicious. Keep up the great work.

Manager at the motel refused to give us another room after we politely and courteously requested another since the room we were occupying smelled a lot like smoke. He refused us service for no apparent reason and even gave us an attitude. Rude as hell for no reason, do not recommend.
