My undercarriage sagged down and dragged dangerously low driving through Giddings on my way to Houston Friday. Another mechanic in Spring Branch had said they had replaced the clips. Lopez was recommended by a machinist shop down the road. This family owned business treated me like family. They quickly got me back to take a look. When we looked, the prior mechanic had lied and had used zip ties to rig it on Thursday, charging me for new clips. There were no clips. Lopez could not repair it saying it needed replacement, but they took wire and wired it so I could make it to Houston and back. They did not accept any money from me but I was so grateful to them. I recommend these honest hard working family to anyone! I just might have to drive all the way from Spring Branch to have them do the repair. Thanks so much!

Definitely recommend coming here! Whether local or not! My husband is very mechanically smart and does not like spending money at mechanic shops but I ll tell you what, I d definitely go here again! Somethings can t be done just at home, which is what happened with my car one HUGE issue that we didn t feel comfortable or have the tools to fix at home so we took my car here and I m beyond happy with how it went! My car actually drives better now than the day I got/bought it!! Very friendly people and very kind! Thank you again for the service!! I will forever be grateful for you guys!!

Very caring people & thorough. Mechanics even take close up pics of issues & send to owner. If they can't find anything wrong w car, they will be honest about it. Being a woman, I felt comfortable in our dealing. They came highly recommended by friends & I will also! I've never felt this good about a mechanic before so I'll take my auto there again instead of a dealership! They were great to work with. They get an A+++ from me!

Get ready for the spam mail. Texas inspection database sells your information to every third party in the world. Inspection was great, garbage mail I could do without.

I found this little piece of awesomeness when we first moved to Lee County almost 2 years ago. They're kind and competitively priced. We take all of our cars and Trucks here for inspections and oil changes.

Initially, I gave Lopez Auto Clinic five stars, but after this last experience, I can tell you that was a huge mistake.... I wish I could give Lopez Auto Clinic A MILLION STARS!!I think I finally found an auto shop that has it all...In fact, if Lopez Auto Clinic was a person and I wasn't happily married, I would probably march right back up there, confess my love and propose marriage on the spot. And you would all be invited to the wedding.I left my nearly twenty year old Honda Element with them a few days before leaving town for a week expecting to pick it up when I got back, but because of a miscommunication between my husband and I, no one approved the estimate until the day I got back to town! Still, they were INCREDIBLY sweet about it- I spoke with Joel, that day, and he said sometimes they hold on to people's cars for a minute because people need time to figure out what they can afford and what they want to have done.And we haven't even gotten to the actual quality of the work they did.... my old car had all kinds of vibrations and a couple of leaks and all the things old cars get, and now it drives like *BUTTER*.I can't remember the woman's name who often also answers the phones and works the desk but she, too, is so sweet and professional.If you live ANYWHERE NEAR Giddings, Texas, and you have automotive needs, and you haven't been taking your car to Lopez Auto Clinic, you should probably find the nearest church on Sunday morning and repent of your sins.... and take your car to Lopez Auto Clinic as soon as they have a spot for you.... it may be a couple weeks before they can fit you in, because the folks around Giddings know what's up.....

Used to be a great place. I used to bring my vehicles here for everything but last time they had my truck for over 2 months to run tests. They claimed they couldn't find the problem, and did nothing to fix it. I had to pay to get it back and ended up on the side of the road on what should have been a short drive home. Found the problem on my own and fixed it myself.They did the same thing to my sister months later.

Cannot say enough good things about Lopez Auto Clinic. Have been using them for about 2 years now with our work trucks for an assortment of issues, from oil changes to full brake replacements, and have never had an issue that was their fault. Sure, little things come up, but it s life.That leads me to this review. Today, I was told my brakes would be done and I could be home in time to get my child off the bus. It wound up taking longer than expected (I m not mad, I d rather them be more thorough on a complete brake job), but I was clearly in a hurry to get back home. The absolute above and beyond customer service was out of this world. I was offered their personal vehicle to make it home and come back so I could get my child. Who does that?! Luckily, I was able to get my truck in the nick of time and on my way.Thank you to Joel, Sandra, Anjelica and crew. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly honest. When my car broke down on a drive through Giddings and needed a major repair, I nightdropped my car here. Despite being booked a month out in reservations, they were able to get my car fixed and back on the road in 11 days. When I called to check in every few days they were nothing but polite and took the time to discuss their findings, repair status, and cost estimate. If I m ever in the Giddings area with car troubles again, I will definitely be returning.Services: Auto exhaust system repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Auto exhaust system replacement, A/C installation & repair

LOVE this business. We went through three different mechanics before finding Lopez and we will never go anywhere else now for our fleet. They are skilled, versatile and very good at getting to the bottom of issues. I trust them completely. Great service, courteous, professional and quality results. 5 stars all the way!

I came here to get a new to me truck inspected and the radiator decided it didn't want to hold coolant anymore, thankfully here rather than on my way to Odessa where I'm going tomorrow!!!Anyways, less than an hour, they found me a new one, had it installed and took care of my truck in less than 2 hours, on a Friday afternoon!

I have been so disappointed. Back in November I went in and asked them to order a replacement window for my SUV. Waited over a month and not a word. Went to Bastrop and was taken care of in 2 days. Last month (June) I went there for a safety inspection and asked them if they could repair the motor in my drivers side window. Mr Lopez assured me they could and said he would order the part and gave me appointment for tomorrow Jul 21st. I called this morning to confirm the part was in and Angela says it s not but she will track it down and call me back. It s now 5 pm and I m still waiting for a call back. That was 8 hrs ago. I feel the part was never ordered. Your customer service is less than acceptable.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

This is a great business! Staff is friendly and welcoming, yet professional . They take pride in what they do. They will help you with repairing your car, yet taking it a step further to spot potential future issues and alert you to them. The pricing is reasonable. I highly recommend this business to anyone.

I would highly recommend Lopez auto Clinic. My daughter was driving home from college and started having car trouble. She called me crying and thank God she was right in front of Lopez auto clinic. She went into their shop and they had her back on the road in no time. Not only did they fix her car but calmed her down and eased my mind that she was safe to drive home. They were amazing!!! I asked if they worked on old trucks. Dropped it off, they never touched the vehicle. After SEVERAL months. I removed the truck. I was told the tech was on vacation. And nothing else. I was a giddings resident. I would if they didn't work on the truck because of my Race. The owner is the Mayor of Giddings hum!!!!!

Wow! The mayor of Giddings owns Lopez Auto Clinic & fixed my car when tw auto repair in New Braunfels - Jay said he didn't know what was wrong with my battery & he said he charged itWell good ole mayor Lopez said it wouldn't even take a charge. What a guy!!! So honest!! I swear I'm taking my car for calibration to Giddings from now on! So hard to find honesty. The Mayor in Giddings is my main man!!!

Went to them with a vehicle that squeaked - a suspension squeak. When driving over any bumps slowly, it would squeak. Without inspecting the vehicle, they said there were no grease fittings to grease. They suggested replacing an $850 component. Said no guarantee it would fix the squeak, but replacement of components one by one (definitely over $1000) would eventually find and fix. Drove away without service. Took my home grease gun and greased 6 to 8 grease fittings that they said did not exist. Sprayed some other grease into areas that are susceptible to squeaking. NO MORE SQUEAKS. It's been over two years now. About $20 in tools and grease, and 20 minutes of my time, fixed it. Saved over $1000 by not following their advice.They could have just done what I did, and charged me $50 or so. But they preferred to lose a loyal customer.And no. If you understand English and can read above, I came to you with a vehicle NOT for an inspection. NOT for an oil change. I visited with hopes you could address the squeaky suspension. I expected, as anyone would, that you would recommend raising the vehicle and greasing the suspension and other possible squeak areas, charging about $50 - $75$. But no, the advice was to replace ball joints, then if that didn't stop the squeaking replace other items under the vehicle (springs, shocks, etc.) until the culprit was found and replaced.Do you maintain files of repairs refused? It's no wonder you don't know what this is about. Service was refused. There would be no record of it. Please stop taking advantage of the public. And train your mechanics to first consider and propose the logical, easy, inexpensive fixes.If the front door to your home squeaks, do you have it replaced? Do you have the door hinges replaced? Or do you squirt some WD40 or light weight oil on the hinges?Service: General repairs & maintenance

I came in first thing in the morning because my brakes had given out the night before. They were very friendly in response to my issue. While there, the staff (sorry, I'm terrible at remembering names) kept me informed of the work progress, a few more issues popped up during the repair session that were of concern to the mechanic. These were brought to my attention and rightly so, as it would have been dangerous to operate without the repairs. These were of a minimum cost increase and justified to be completed. The whole time they were friendly not only to myself but all others who came in. They even brought me some lunch because of how long it was taking, I really appreciated that. I didn't mind the time because I knew they were doing a proper repair job. This is the reason I will always go to a independent, local shop. They treat you like family, not a way to squeeze you for all the money they can get from you. Unlike a lot of corporate chain businesses. They all work like a family there and I will definitely be back for future needs.

We were just traveling through from Louisiana and we noticed a skidding sound from the bottom of the vehicle. Amazing place! We are here from out of state and were passing through town on our way to Austin in a rental car when we heard a strange noise. We were right next to their shop and pulled in without calling, an hour before close, in the pouring rain. They immediately checked out the car, removed the problematic exterior piece, and sent us back on our way- without charge. Thank you!! Friendly and reliable professionals. When my vehicle was ready they came and got me so I could pick it up. Courteous and will be our go to for auto needs. I have NO complaints whatsoever. Will be needing more issues addressed on my vehicle and I wouldn't want anyone else to do the job. Great work and reasonable prices. A great place for your automotive needs!!!

If you need car maintenance or repairs, definitely go to Lopez Auto Care! It s funny how God puts people in the right place to help you when you need it. I was driving from Houston to Austin when my car started acting funny. I went to Lopez Auto Care and despite being extremely busy & trying to get their work completed by deadlines, Mr. Lopez and his wife helped me by servicing my car. They are honest, trustworthy and dependable. We highly recommend them because they are kind, salt of the earth people and will do an excellent job on your car! Although he was unable to fix my car due to it being a large repair, he advised me on what to do and helped me to get it drivable and back to Houston.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I stopped in today because while driving I hit something and my car started making a funny noise!! They helped me fix the problem they also were very nice and friendly and didn t charge me a arm and leg!!! im glad I did business with them

Oil change was fast and friendly couldn't have done it better. Jeep running stronger now. Don't have keep anymore but I always take my Chevy here every 3000 miles it's quite friendly and they offer you a ride home if further repairs take some time I love it here.
