This property has gone downhill. Do not base decisions on older reviews or past stays. My room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, the linens don't look clean, though they very well might be, and there were so many bugs in my room. I checked in and only noticed the smell and linens, but when I came back after sunset, I saw all the bugs, gathered my luggage and went to find a different place to stay.

Hotel staff was accommodating. Owners were friendly and positive and helpful and they assisted in safety concerns. The weekly rate was good for our crew here for work. It wasn't too busy during our stay and luckily there were not crack heads that cruised the hotel area driveways. Fast food near by. Beds were comfortable. I would stay here again if ever in the area.

Basic, quiet hotel with bare essentials. Room was clean, and recently updated. Bed was comfortable but bring an extra blanket if you get cold at night. For the price you can t beat it. Office workers were friendly but made you use the outside window which was annoying but only because covid and all (didn t know were still doing that in November 2022). Otherwise great hotel as long as you re not expecting a Hilton. I think the owners changed some time ago so the old one star reviews may not be applicable anymore.

The front desk was very helpful and nice. The room was very clean. The bed was more firm than we like it but we still slept okay. The motel was very quiet. The only complaint would be that the tub was delaminating with something white peeling off of it. For a shower it was fine but I would not have wanted to sit in a tub with that stuff peeling off or wash a child in the tub.

Room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Rate is very reasonable, facility was quiet, and located close to a variety of restaurants, and other stores. Convenient access to the highway, and a quick easy distance to Round Top. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Room had a microwave, and mini fridge, but no coffee maker. Soap was provided, but no shampoo or conditioner. Plenty of towels though, and room was serviced daily. Because of Covid, breakfast was not provided.

This is such a great motel. I called to ask where we should park and the guy gave me detailed instructions and I so appreciate that. Check in was quick and he made sure to give us a room near our truck. The room was clean with a tv fridge microwave and the beds were clean and comfy. The only negative was the water did not get very hot in the shower but the water pressure was great and the shower was clean. No bugs anywhere and I check under the mattress and the seam of the mattress. Great price and they were happy to let our dog stay with us. We will be back for sure.

As I book my Room I checked in at the window Jay, treated me so well with Courtesy and respect he ask me was there anything else he can do before I went to my Room I was very pleased with the way I was treated! I will recommend this to everyone. As I went to my Room I check the bed that was the 1st thing I did to make sure that these hotels, change the sheets I was expecting the sheets to be dirty and they were clean most cheap hotels just reuse the same blankets over and over and over but Not this hotel, I was very please. I will definitely come back and stay here again.

This motel wasn't *too bad.*The staff was friendly.But, it would have been nice if the laminate floor in the room had been swept at some point after installation. There was dirt, hair, and dried muddy shoe prints on the floor.There were dirty smudges and hand prints on the bathroom wall and door, I assume from the workers that did all the recent renovations.The latch for the swivel lock on the door was missing, so, that felt really safe...The bed was like sleeping on the hard floor.The price was decent, but I'd hesitate to stay there again.

The location is incredibly convenient. The rooms are more affordable than any others in a 15 mile radius. The rooms are always clean and the bed is always made. They have decent WiFi, good cable, and a really friendly staff. No free breakfast, but definitely free coffee! All in all, definitely worth it. I have come back here several times and am still pleased with it.

Stayed here during the huge 2021 TX storm when there was no power or water to found anywhere. Jay was so friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful in assisting me in finding supplies during my stay. Everyone went out of their way to help make my stay comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for lodging in Giddings.

Definitely a cut-rate facility. Was told at check-in that the corporation has mandated no shampoo in the rooms (suppose I should be happy there was at least soap provided). Tub/shower was stained. Overall, the room was clean enough though and the staff was friendly, but there are absolutely NO amenities whatsoever. No coffee pot, and no coffee in the lobby until after 8 or 9-am. Also, take along your own pillows because those provided are horrible. Bed was ok. Had a small fridge, but opened a cabinet and found an older inoperable fridge inside that was full of mold and mildew. Disappointed that Motel 6 has dropped to this level of service. Will not book this property again, and will think twice before booking another Motel 6.

The front desk clerk was nice. However, in our room we found a used bar of soap in the shower along with dark hairs. After pulling back the bedspread, we found dark hair on the sheets. It was obvious that the room had not been cleaned after the last occupant. Only the towels had been changed. I would never stay at this hotel again.

This motel is still being renovated but they are kind enough to do it during normal hours. I have read the old reviews on other sites mainly from when this property was an Executive Inn and just thought it was worth a mention that ALOT has changed evidently since then. This is my third night here and I'd say for 50 bucks a night you can't find better. My room has been cleaned and made every day. I love that there are faux wood floors and NOT carpet in the rooms. It gave it a much cleaner feel. Both people I have dealt with at the front desk have been very nice and great to interact with. You can tell they are working hard to turn this place around and I'd say they are on the right track. I only found one motel in town that was 10 bucks cheaper but I hope they issue hazmat kits at check in cause it's a dump. Thanks motel 6 for a comfortable stay!

For the price, you won't find better accommodations. The owner and staff are flexible and helpful. My husband stays here regularly for work, and our whole little family ran from Hurricane Hanna to be with him here. For a last minute stay, I wasn't expecting such a clean and quiet room.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean. The phone in room did not work but who needs it anyway? It is Christmas week glad we slept there..thanks for the great service GOD bless your business.The price was main reason I went there and also because my Dog was welcomed.

The room was not clean. The bedding was extremely dusty, with remnants of hair from previous tenants. I wasn't able to sleep well because the dust was really affecting my allergies. It's obvious that the bed spread, blanket, and mattress pad do not get washed every time, probably not even once a month.There was no fitted sheet, so the sheets kept getting pushed around during the night.The door had been previously kicked in, but the door wasn't properly fixed. The strike plate didn't line up because screws were missing, and the deadbolt could not be latched. The door frame was severely damaged, so the latch did not provide any security, someone could just push the door open with a hard push. They need to have more secure doorways, this can be done with longer strike plate screws.I will not be returning unless given a discount to try motel 6 again, or some assurance that these problems have been fixed.

It was ok. The bathroom floor was dirty. There was only one towel and wash cloth for 2 of us. They did come quickly when we called because we could not get the water on in the bath. They did bring the trashcan we asked for. There was a moldy smell as wellThe bed was comfy.

We stay here for 2 1/2 weeks twice a year. Nice managers, good A/C, plenty of hot water, newly remodeled rooms...no carpet. Usually quiet even though most rooms are full and many workers stay here. Outdoor pool with BBQ grill.

Great little motel. Nice people. Old motel 6 with a lot better furnishings. Will stay again if back in area. Oh last but not least, they had the best price in town which is important.

This place is gross, and the service is equally bad. I can understand old or somewhat worn, but this place was dirty. The girl that checked us in was very friendly, but the service from others was ridiculous. No one was rude, really, but rather completely negligent. One of the employees randomly walked into our room without warning--not ok. The same employee overslept and didn't set up breakfast, so a queue of guests had formed while we waited for him to wake up. However...full breakfast it was NOT. Little bits of cereal, one pot of coffee, and four packages muffins. What was out would barely feed a family of four but certainly not a whole hotel of guests. And no apology was offered for the sad/late breakfast. Will NOT be staying here again. NOT worth the price.

The room was not cleaned properly.The chest of drawers had dirt on the drawers. The refrigerator was dirty. I didn't look in the microwave, I was sidetracked by a bug crawling on the wall that I killed. In the bathroom, the "white" shower curtain was pink at the bottom from stains. There was a scrunchy left hanging on the shower rod from the last person.There were no fitted sheets and the sheet kept coming off during the night, since they weren't long enough to tuck in. The pillows were so flat it made you wonder how old they were.It was the only option we had for staying near Roundtop, but rest assured next time we will sleep in the car before we step foot in this motel.
