Efficient service! I was greeted upon arrival & told the person who does inspections was busy assisting another customer but would be with me within 15 min. I waited between 5 & 10 min. The inspection itself didn't take long at all. I paid & was on my way all within 30 min. (Arrival - Departure) Great customer service & friendly employees! Highly recommend!

I've definitely found my new favorite place to get an annual vehicle safety inspection in Georgetown. This place is conveniently located near downtown on University. I was the only one there (other than the owner) when I pulled up. About 10-12 minutes later I was happily driving home with a passed inspection certificate, ready to get my annual registration sticker. Two other patrons had arrived just as I was leaving. Great experience!

I've come here for my state inspections for about 10 years. They are always honest, quick, fair, accurate, and trustworthy. I can't think of anything negative to say about them.Highly recommend

Came in on a Saturday from out-of-state trying to get set up in Texas and the guys were awesome. They helped me figure out what I needed from my insurance company and knowing that I was from out of state were able to take it from my insurance app instead of needing paper copies. I love great customer service and they certainly have it. Will definitely be going back there for further inspections! Oh and can I just say how fast and accurate their service was too!!!!

I oversee 29 retail locations in the area so I understand the value of customer service. I leave a negative review for every 20+ positive ones. Very cold and short. Not a friendly place. If you are going for a state inspection go anywhere else, it's the same price no matter where you go so you might as well go to a place that makes you feel welcome and like they want your business.

**FOR WOMEN IN PARTICULAR** Overall good experience. Went in for a car inspection and was out in 15 minutes; very quick and easy. Staff was friendly. However, a general warning: if a stranger, even one providing a service, asks you personal questions, do not give them a straight answer. For context: I was called outside by the man helping me for the last part of the inspection (checking signals, looking under the hood, etc). Conversation started off nice enough, asking whether I go to SU, what I study. He moved me out of the way with his hand on my back/arm a couple of times, which does make some people very uncomfortable. But, while paying I was asked out of the blue where I live in the area, whether I go to Austin frequently, and where I like to go. Maybe he was just being friendly, but those are very personal questions and should always raise a red flag. When a stranger asks you personal questions, they do not deserve the benefit of the doubt; you are should prioritize your privacy above everything else. Lie, be vague, do anything but specify, especially something like where you live.I was not alone with this worker at any time, I never felt unsafe, and I will probably use their business again. This is just a reminder to be careful what you share, because you never know who s really friendly and who s a creep.

I have been going to this place for over 7 years. Every time I leave I tell myself "never again". The older man (owner?) is consistently rude, like he has better things to do than service your vehicle. No more business for this guy from me. I'm going to a place where I don't feel like I'm an inconvenience.

This was the second time I used this place to do my inspection. I went both times because it never looks busy so we get in and out super fast. The owner is less than friendly but I can get over that since it's been so fast. Today the guy that inspected my car returned from doing the inspection wreaking like cigarettes. When I returned to my vehicle with my kids and 12 month old baby I find my car smells like cigarettes!!! I couldn't believe it! You your employees smoke in your customers cars???? Not going back here ever!!! Unbelievable!

Who knew one of my favorite businesses in Georgetown would be an inspection station?!It's no frills, sure, but I loved the old school vibe, & the customer service was exceptional! There was a steady flow of customers, but the turnaround was fast, especially given there was only one gentleman working on a Saturday. He was efficient, engaging and pleasant to everyone.

If I had to rate my experience souly on the first time I had encountered this company I would have given it a 3.5 stars. I had recently moved and needed my first car AND truck inspection it wouldn't pass because of new laws that's had just passed. So we fixed the issue via their service and I though I was treated fare. I was quoted a price to perform one of their services. I returned some months later, to bring my vehicles in for their services and was told the prices had gone up. I'm in sales and you always honor what you quoted a customer regardless of increased prices from your vendors. I truly am disappointed. Thought they were good guys... Boy was I wrong. Customer service gets a zero.

Literally just came in for all of a 5 min inspection and instead of being welcomed I felt rushed off and turned away. Idk who was working but I ll tell you, from the get-go I was already in the wrong for having my just updated insurance card vs the current, not a problem, while I got the old one on my phone he was basically already telling me the reasons why my car wouldn t pass, which was a tinted turn signal but it s not black you can more than see through it and I even have brighter LEDs in it to compensate for any dimming . Pretty disappointed because I have had great experiences otherwise when Stan used to work there. In and out, and they would always get my business. Now? I don t think I ll be returning. It s the people and the service you provide that keep folks coming back and after today, I don t feel welcome at all

Outstanding experience! Went to the Oil Stop up the road for my Texas inspection, they told me it would be an hour and a half, but to try Whitestone if I didn't want to wait. Took 'em up on it, was in and out with my certificate in 15 minutes. The gent at Whitestone was friendly, talkative, and professional.Found me a new go-to for my yearly inspections and tires/alignments. Come to think of it, I'm due for a tire rotation!

Older man there was pretty moody like he was not happy with his job. I support local business but don t recommend this place. I took my sons vehicle to get inspection and he failed it because of window tint being to dark. It s past in the past with same tint but all of a sudden it didn t. I took it to shades of Texas and it past inspection a week later. Same tint. My tint falls right at 20% and will still pass because the meters have a 4% variance is what the inspector told me at the other place. I wish I knew this before I Wasted money there.

At first they were nice enough when installing my tires and did a good job. A month later I went back to have two tires swapped out for a different type. I told him I had the rims and tires to drop off and I didn't need to wait but would come back when they were done. I asked how long. He said later in the afternoon. It was 11 AM at the time. I asked how late and he said 5-5:30 since he had 4 other tires to do and two on a car waiting. And that takes 6 hours? I drove by later at 2 PM with my tires installed by someone else and there were no cars in the shop or packing lot. They had nothing to do, no business. I just hate being lied to. I'll go somewhere else and I recommend you do too.

This place was great! They had me in and out in under 30 minutes. I went on my lunch break and even told my boss that there was a chance I would be late coming back, since there are always long waits at Walmart and dealerships. Well, that was not the case, they fixed my tire which had a screw stuck in it and had me on my way, the price was excellent too! I completely reccomend this place, very friendly people too :-)

I can honestly not say enough wonderful things about Whitestone and about the Excellent customer service that I Always receive. I have taken my little Kia there for the last 4 years and will continue to be a customer.Yesterday, it was raining and I wanted to get my car inspected. they were so busy but I waited and the sweet owner apologized for the wait, he always had a smile.Today, I went back to ask if he could assist me in changing a brake light bulb & putting my new tag sticker on. He did it with a smile. So pleasant. The owner is a prime example of what Excellent customer service should be.Thank you!Beverly Maina

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!- Do not do a drop-off for your vehicle service. These guys are poor communicators and failed to disclose to my wife and I that they only work a half day on Saturdays. We dropped off her vehicle at 11:57AM for inspection and went to lunch nearby only to return at 1:30PM to find a note on the shop window stating they closed at noon. Why didn't they tell us they were about to close? They could have easily utilized words, and verbalized when we dropped it off, but speaking in complete sentences was over this guy's head (more of a grunter). We tried to contact the "emergency" phone number over the rest of the weekend to get her car out of their garage- but they never responded. This place is a joke and the employees/ownership are incompetent jerks. So much for trying to support small business. This is what you get. Next time we'll go to one of the "big business" places like jiffy lube or Lamb's and support the corporate machine I guess. Not worth the headache. PS- After holding her car hostage for the rest of the wknd- he advised us he failed the car's inspection due to a worn windshield wiper and the reason he didn't respond to the "emergency" phone number was poor reception. What a piece of work! Wish I could leave zero stars.

This guy is so rude. Extremely poor people skills. Wont ever do business here or recommend.Mathew, If your hours online and on your door say you close at 1 PM on Saturdays. Dont make the people who enter your business at 11:54 AM feel like you are doing them a favor for inspecting their cars. Update your hours.

Super disappointed in Whitestone tire! We had something puncture our tire but not stay in it so it was literally spewing air! I was on the square so I went straight to them to find out their tire machine was down!! Whatttt?!?!! How can you be a tire repair shop and have your only machine down. The owner said put a screw in it to hold the air but like I m in my car and don t have a screw! Didn t offer to give me one either! Made it across town to another tire shop with only 6 pounds of air left in my tire! Do BETTER Whitestone!

Went to repair a tire just before noon today on Saturday and the attendant stated he already turned off his air compressor. Even though the site says it closes at 2pm he was already closing. Tire was almost flat and he still asked us to leave the property. Don t waste your time with this location.

They told me my car failed inspection because of a leaking hose and charged me the $29 inspection fee. I took it to the dealership to get the inspection flaw fixed and they told me there was nothing wrong with it, despite me pointing at the issue Whitestone pointed out. I gave Whitestone the opportunity to refund my money for the mistake and they said "No". If you want an over zealous inspection company, by all means take your car there! (If I had not had the dealership perform the state inspection on my car they would have charged me $60+ to tell me it was fine...which one would you choose, $60 visual inspection or $29 state inspection...)Lesson learned = don't take your care to a shop that doesn't perform repairs. If the inspection fails you have to coordinate repairs at another shop before taking it back to Whitestone. If it's fine, you wasted time and money. Take it to someone who does both so you don't have to pay the piper twice!

Like to support local but this family is done with their attitude. Rude and sullen every visit. Feels like they hate what they do. Go to Lindell Chevron, these fellas remember when customer service meant something. ( am not affiliated with Lindell). Do yourself a favor, support local that appreciates your business.

I like to take my business to small local shops. most small businesses know how important customer service is. Not this place. I park and walk in. and wait and wait for service. turns out the guy that should have been helping me, I passed as I walked in. He was "bussy" on a laptop outside. After he finaly comes in, I let them know I need an inspection. He say no problem, but then ask me to move my car. I'm not blocking anyone or a service bay. but I say no problem and go to move my car. However all the spaces are taken. I walk back in and tell him. he begrudgingly takes my key's. I say I'll just leave it there and head back to work and pick it up later when its ready, i say no rush. I ask for them to give me a call, the guy looks at me like i'm putting him out by asking this. Then as I walk out one of the men working on a car harasses me about moving my car. I tell him the same thing as I told the guy inside. no spaces. I should have just gone back in and taken my keys and car and left. I never got a phone call when the car was ready. I come back 4 hours later to pay for the service and again the person, a different person behind the counter has got this chip on his shoulder like I'm making him go out of his way to take my cash. They have no clue about customer service. never going back and would not recommend it to anyone.

Don't waste your time here, and dont give this guy your money! To begin, he called the inspector down the road lazy dor not being able to do my truck which is pre-1995... its a matter of having the right equipment and not work ethic. Then he wouldn't accept my insurance- the policy expires inside of 30 days. So i went outside to call my provider to get proof of continued coverage and he still refused to inspect the vehicle. He offered to "charge me and inspect the vehicle, but it wouldnt be valid".... seriously?Waste of time

This guy straight out LIED and said my license plate light did not work and it did. He failed my car for a gas cap, tinted windows and a low level of power steering fluid! I have never had my car fail for the tint on the windows! The fact that he flat out lied makes me feel he had something against me personally! Terrible service. The next day took my car to another place and it PASSED! So needless to say Mr. Brown is a jerk!
