Fantastic shop! After searching for someone to work on my classic car and finding that everyone was generally unwilling or uninterested in my problem, I was lucky enough to find WTA. I spoke to Josh over the phone and he provided me with an over the phone estimate for replacing a fuel sending unit that was more than fair. I took my car in the next day around 9:00 am and got it back the same day by noon and the price was as quoted! WOW, that never happens these days. If you are looking for a good, friendly and honest repair shop you should check these guys out. I assure you that they will have all of my business going forward. Thanks to Josh and the guys at WTA for taking care of me and my mechanical needs.

I have taken two different cars, both with pretty major issues, to World Tech. Being a female in my early 20's I am beyond grateful for finding this gem. I fully trust the opinion and service World Tech provides. Josh has always been unbelievably helpful with giving accurate and honest information on what is best to do with my cars. Thank you all for creating a honest business and building a reputation of trust.

These folks are incredible, when I had tried all that I could to fix a broken spark plug, they had it out and quoted me more than a fair price. Other companies that I called either wouldn't do it, or were asking 1.5 to 3 times the amount for the estimate! I'll never go anywhere else while I'm in this area! Very professional and friendly as well.

Happy I found these guys! I had such a smooth experience w/ Josh and the crew. From my 1st phone call to picking up my car. I didn t feel like I was being hustled. I was pleased w/ the updates, turnaround time, honesty, quality & price point! I know that I will continue to return here (if needed) and recommend to whoever reads this!

Recently, I learned my Nissan 240SX, which I purchased new in the summer of 1995, could no longer be serviced at the dealership mainly due to parts no longer being available from Nissan. The car had always been dealer serviced, so I was in a bad place because the car needed some work due to not being driven as much during lockdown and an unknown gas leak.Thanks to a referral from the towing company, I ended up at World Tech Automotive. I was nervous and worried about what kind of experience I would have compared to the dealership (which was always positive for me for 27+ years).All my fears were quickly put to rest after meeting with Josh, the Service Director. He was an enthusiast and took great care with me and especially my vehicle.The work they performed included replacing the spark plugs, replacing the factory seals on the AC compressor, and replacing the gas tank (due to a hairline crack causing the leak). Josh tried hard to find someone who would plastic weld/repair the tank but to no avail. I did not want to go the fuel cell route because I wanted to keep the car in factory condition. I ended up sourcing a used gas tank, which World Tech expertly installed including replacing all the hoses.Considering the amount of time, effort, and work they did, I found their prices very reasonable. Also, after seeing what other specialty vehicles they service (misc American muscle cars, air-cooled Porsches and Shelby Cobras), I was certain I was in a good place.I would recommend World Tech Automotive to my friends and family and look forward to my new relationship there and them helping keep my car running for many years to come.Services: Auto A/C recharge, Auto engine tuning, A/C installation & repair

This is the only place my family has been going to for 20+ years. The current manager, Josh, is super helpful and has a great memory even between extensive gaps in visits. As long as I live in the area, this is where I'm going.

I had a wonderful experience with World Tech Automotive. My car engine light came on and my car was not functioning correctly. I brought it to Toyota dealership who charged me over $150 to find out what was wrong and quoted me for $1,200 to fix my car. Jim did his own diagnostic testing (for free) and fixed my car for less than half of the price that Toyota quoted me for. Jim is very fair and takes care of you. He has taken care of my entire family's vehicles for years and has always been a man of integrity. I will not go to another mechanic.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim, Engine repair

I've been taking vehicles to World Tech for nearly 10 years. Jim & his mechanics are very nice & knowledgeable. His prices are fair & they do great work. There's only a couple of people I trust to work on my vehicles & Jim is one of them!

An incredible shop! I first came to World Tech a couple of years ago after moving to Dallas upon the recommendation of a couple of friends, and I have been blown away every time! Jim and his staff are thoroughly honest and truly have their customers' best interest in mind! On multiple occasions, they have actually encouraged me to seek out certain repairs which might be still covered under warranty to avoid paying for unnecessary services. My one tip is to call beforehand before dropping your vehicle off for non-emergency service, as depending on the nature of the repair, the techs might be too busy to get it back into the shop immediately. Highly recommended!

I do all my own mechanic maintenance on my vehicles but when I need to diagnose something I take it to Jim. Jim owns the place and is very good. I respect Jim and he does good work for me. I'm not too fond of mechanics because the industry has a bad reputation of being dishonest but I would recommend Jim and World Tech Automotive.One time, my belt fell off 3 miles away and he drove out to get me. He brought a portable jumper and put it in my vehicle and followed me to his shop. Then he let me park it there overnight and I came the next afternoon and put the belt on and drove it out.

Mr. Jim is an honest and trustworthy Mechanic. He fixed my car right up! Fair pricing, gave me options and had my car running as good as new in no time. Excellent and friendly staff, highly recommend them!

If you're not a car person and you don't know the first thing about how they run, you leave yourself open to a mechanic telling you anything and you wouldn't know the difference. I've used World Tech and I've known Jim for eight years now and wouldn't dream of taking my vehicles anywhere else. He sets the bar for an honest, Godly Man and has excellent mechanics at a shop. Don't risk going anywhere else.

Firstly, it is a place I like taking my car too, The work is always done in a timely manner and they fix what's wrong with the car. Secondly, I don't hesitate to recommend the shop to my friends. That says alot about them and their consistently good work. Honest work for a good price. You can't beat that.

I love this place. I live in Plano and was referred to Jim and his place and trust him completely with all my cars. The Audi dealership said I needed to replace my breaks and I brought it to World Tech and Jim. They said there is nothing wrong with my breaks. I have been and will be a repeat customer.

My truck died on me and I took it to caliber auto care and they said The truck needed a whole new fuel system/injectors and quoted me $14,000 I. I then took it to world tech automotive and they replaced 1 fuse and my truck was running fine. They saved me well over $10,000. Thank you Jim and Malcom for taking care of me! I will be back for all my trucks needs!Service: Engine repair

Definitely I feel very lucky to have found Jim and his crew of professional and responsible mechanics. I have trusted my cars to his care since 2004 and not once have I regretted my decision. Great people, great work.

After being referred to World Tech Automotive late in the afternoon, I gave the owner--Jim Wilburn--a call just before he closed and he said I could bring my car in right away. By early evening they had my car repaired and back on the road. Jim, Sheila, and Pat are the best!

Spent several hours trying to find short in wire to brake lights, parking lights, and running lights. Wish we had started with World Tech! Within two hours of starting they found problem and repaired for a reasonable price. Would use in the future for work on my plumbing trucks and personal vehicles. I would recommend them to anyone I know who needs an honest mechanic.

I needed to finish a job on my car I had started. I brought it in and showed jim what I needed done. I also had my own parts. He did it. He also found other issues that I didn't know where there. That's something that I can appreciate. Would Recommend 100%.

Jim and World Tech is honest, fast and reliable and is an actual master of this trade. If those things aren't important to you in a mechanic, then I recommend you go somewhere else. I have used World Tech for many years and wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.

Every time I have gone to the shop I was always treated with respect. I never once felt like I was being taken advantage of. All the guys are super great. Owner is a Christian man with great values and always treats his customers great!

These people are honest good Christian people. But that's not the reason I go to the shop. I go to the shop for my Auto needs because they're honest they're quick and they do good work. And their pricing is always fair.

I don't think my last review went through so I'm going to make it shorter it is the best place I've ever been to to have my automobile worked on they are very good at everything and the prices unbelievable do not go anywhere else before you go there you can check prices at other places and will be amazed at what they charge Jim the head mechanic and owner is fast does not take long because he's been doing this for 30 years he drag races cars he's been doing this for about 30 years he has his own techniques and what he does and how he does it and he explains everything and takes you to your car and shows you exactly what needs to be done they are Christian people and it's a blessing to have somebody so fair and not out to overcharge make sure to take your car there before going anywhere else this is from experience that I have had with the car that had to have quite a bit of work done on I was amazed at the price he told me and just said praise God because financially it's been tough on me being sick
