(2013 ford transit connect )Absolutely amazing work. Fast and very communicative. I used to use aamco and every two years like clockwork I d have problems but Chad is the real deal my vans transmission has been running better than when I bought it. Highly recommend if your reading this he is the way to go!

Called these guys because they offered financing if I needed it. You never know how transmissions go.Chad was excellent at communicating both on the phone & through text messages.Hopefully I don't need them again but definitely going to recommend them to those who do.Thanks again Chad.

I highly recommend this place; very professional. I had a transmission leak and dropped my Camaro off with Chad. The following day, I was advised of (and shown) a small crack and they were able to get it repaired/replaced extremely fast. They communicated at every turn, keeping me updated on everything throughout the entire process. These guys are fair in pricing. If I ever needed any type of under the hood work done on any of my vehicles moving forward, I m coming here without hesitation. Thanks again for your help!

Awesome experience. I had a clutch replaced in just over a day (likely would have been done in 1 day had a part not needed to be tracked down) when i called for a quote i got the price quickly for a turbo Veloster or a non turbo because the clutch is different. When i picked up my car i was shown the old worn out clutch which i appreciated.I will definitely come back when its time to change the clutch on my other car. Its rare to have a positive experience with a repair shop and that was a nice change.

Chad really knows his stuff. Many times any car repair can be frustrating, but he made it stress free. I took him my transmission to have it checked out. Not only did he send me pics of what was wrong, he invited me up to see for myself. He did such a great job I took him my transfer case to check out also. Both his communication and prices are exceptional. I highly recommend Chad for any transmission needs you have.Service: Transmission

Chad knows his stuff, seriously. It s rare finding a shop that has someone who is eager to solve the problem and accept a challenge (rather it s a major fix or tiny problem). Prior to having my car repaired it had been through two other shops (after a visit to the dealership)! I was getting quotes from shops that held my car for weeks and even a month and could not provide me a proper diagnosis. Chad did the diagnosis the same day (Thursday/Friday) right before closing up for the evening. He had my car fixed the very next week, it drives great, and he even fixed a few other things that helped make a major difference! My advise to anyone looking for a trustworthy shop please be patient and understand your car is in great care here. The main thing that helped me out tremendously was he gave me a realistic time frame, this helped me save money and balance out my life by knowing how long to expect being without a car. Communication and patience is important when doing business. Although it took no time for my car to be fixed, I was relieved to know I didn t have to call everyday asking for an update. I was able to keep an extra $3500 in my pocket on top of excellent service from someone who can explain what issues they found and provide solutions. I m grateful.

Best mechanic in DFW area! I ve had my Transfer Case, Transmission, and various other jobs done with Chad. He s so good I ve referred friends and family! My sister got her transmission repaired from him as well. Honorable shop that follows through with warranties, kept having problems with fuel pump and Chad took a large sum of his time to pin point the problem, which ended up being electrical... all of those extra shop hours but still honored his warranty. He s a really busy guy so sometimes bigger repairs might take a minute, but just knowing that he s the best in town, doesn t overprice, and honors his warranties makes it all worth it!Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Air conditioning

Chad replaced the transmission pan, gasket, filter and bolts, changed the transfer case fluid, and installed a new rear differential cover and gasket. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. All work was done on-time and there were zero issues.I was not a friend of his before (although I am friendly with him now).I don't hesitate to recommend him, and I cannot wait to hear his version of the preceding rant review.Service: Transmission

Folks, if you are searching for a quality mechanic shop who is driven by honesty, integrity and customer service, not to mention superior quality work, then look no further! Chad McCoy offers customers the experience and outcome that will make you a loyal client. He is a heck of a nice guy as well as very knowledgeable. My car needed a new transmission and I could not afford a new one. Chad went way above and beyond to scour not only the metroplex but the country to find one was not TOO used and that would fit my 2002 Honda Accord. When after installation there was still a tiny hesitation between gears, he had me bring it back, took the transmission out and rebuilt it, free of charge! Afterwards, I asked if he could find me an O2 sensor for my Cat Converter, he did so, installed it and charged me a fraction of what others quoted. The whole operation over there at McCoy's Transmission is first rate. I can't recommend them highly enough. You won't be disappointed!Services: Transmission, Exhaust

We're unfortunately filing a lawsuit against this business owner. [And we should've taken heed of the 30+ perfectly worded five star reviews. But others warned us too late of the many staged reviews from friends]. We asked for a Refund due to a 4 Month nightmare of bad ethics, bad repairs & his inability to properly fix our vehicle. He refuses, even though he ruined the vehicle & it's undriveable at this point. We took a 2013 Nissan Versa here, for a Transmission & Clutch replacement. Picked it up November 25, 2020. It's NOW NEARLY APRIL 2021 - 3/26/2021 to be exact. And we've asked Mr. McCoy for 4 MONTHS NOW, to get the vehicle fixed correctly. He's failed repeatedly. We've called, texted, & went in person for check ups & formal appts, as well. This is hands down the WORST vehicle repairs & most unethical shop, we've ever experienced. The clutch-stick jams constantly. The clutch-pedal smashes down to the floorboard, must be pried off. Transmission is leaking transmission fluid. Have nearly gotten killed in traffic numerous times, when clutch goes out while driving, as it becomes impossible to accelerate & control vehicle. This, happening countless times. Mr. McCoy was contacted the SAME WEEK of pickup, on Sat Nov 28, 2020 & was informed there was a problem & he needed to address it. We also had accidently overpaid him $150.00 & needed to get the overage back to us. He DID NOT RESPOND. We tried to be patient - maybe he's backed up from Thanksgiving. Yet, week after week, NO RESPONSE from Mr. McCoy. Finally, Dec 21, 2020, we got tired of waiting - 3 weeks was plenty of time to respond. We AGAIN contact him, by phone. We ask, "Did you receive the message re; our vehicle not working correctly" ? His reply - "I DON'T KNOW. I'M BUSY". We then ask, "Did you ever get the overage payment" ? He replies, "Yeah, that came a week or two ago". So he kept our money, and never even told us. He figured we'd forget now that it's the end of the year apparently. Just terrible ethics. We asked if we may come down to get the vehicle corrected, & pick up our money that he owed us. He said, "I'm busy & I'm closing after tomorrow for the entire week for Christmas". We respond, "Can we AT LEAST pick up our money that you owe us" ?? He states we could pick up our money, BUT he didn't have the time to correctly fix our vehicle UNTIL NEXT YEAR, JANUARY 2021. Yes, really. We then took our vehicle to his shop, January 8, 2021. He claimed he checked it & there's "Nothing wrong with it". We went again, January 19th 2021. And January 21st 2021. [His story, is usually, #1 "There's nothing wrong with it, it's fine" OR #2 "I don't know what's wrong with it" OR #3 "I'm not sure what's wrong with it, I can't find anything"] On January 21st 2021, he stated we could "try" replacing various parts. Said he could start with the Master Cylinder. If that didn't work, he could replace Brake Cylinder. We paid Mr. McCoy another $152.00 in addition to the $1,600.00 he was already paid in November. So now we've given him $1,752.00 He finally installs January 28th 2021. But that too, didn't solve the multitude of problems with his repairs. February 2021 arrives. Lots of intermittent rainy days. Which he states are bad to check Transmission Leaks, due to wet weather. Fine. In the meantime, we took car for an oil change, clearly NOT THERE. The reputable shop we went to, informed us there was a Transmission Leak at the bell housing. We contacted Mr. McCoy. He states, "Sorry. I can't touch it tomorrow. And I can't take any jobs the rest of the week". So it's LEAKING TRANSMISSION FLUID from HIS REPAIRS but he's too busy & blows us off. At this point, we're fed up. End of Feb, Ice Storm hits. March 19th 2021, our vehicle finally JAMS PERMANENTLY. NO TRANSM / NO CLUTCH. Had to TOW IT IN, to his shop @ 9 PM, another $120.00 wasted. He gets annoyed, states it could sit there for 2 wks - he's too busy. Said if we didn't like it, go elsewhere. We are - and sadly filing suit as well. Next stop BBB, and FTC. Save yourself precious time Never bring your vehicles here.Service: Transmission

I brought in my 76 bronco with transmission issues after installing a new 400hp motor. Chad not only fixed the problem, but upgraded the transmission to handle 400+hp.Chad McCoy was amazing to work with. He did great work, was very knowledgeable, kept me informed, and made great suggestions. I could not ask for more.

Chad is by far and large one of the most professional mechanics I've ever met. The diagnosis was 100% accurate, the work he did came with a 12 month warranty, and the problem was fixed! Most honest mechanic I've met or even heard of.

I recently bought an older vehicle with a manual transmission for cheap. I thought I would need a a new transmission, Chad let me know that I only needed a new clutch and flywheel. They also changed my right rear wheel bearings for a low price. I really recommend going here to have work done.

I took my vehicle into McCoy's for repair and I've never been more pleased. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I explained the symptoms my vehicle was having and he almost immediately suggested an accurate diagnosis of my problems. He repaired my vehicle most expeditiously and it's as though I'm driving a new vehicle now. He addressed everything that was wrong and within 1 day had me back on the road a 100% completely satisfied customer. I wouldn't take my vehicle(s) anywhere else for repairs after finding McCoy's for all my mechanical needs. Chad rebuilt the transmission in 94 F-150 w/built 409hp 302 5.0L, new Kevlar bands and clutches, B&M shift kit and I ve already put over 100,000 miles on it and it still works great, highly recommend him!!

Let me tell you something. It s rare you find a mechanic like Chad. He s the kind of guy that will never cheat you and figures out all the problems that previous mechanics could not. For two years, I had a problem that no one could figure out. I spent nearly 2500 over a two years span, and it didn t resolve anything. This guy is busy; but, if you find the time, this guy will find the problem and won t cut your arm off for it.

This guy is so honest and down to earth, he will take your transmission apart in front of you in 15-20 minutes and will basically show his work if you have free time to assure you his excellent work. He s affordable and awesome, absolutely recommend this guy!
