Drew was a lifesaver for us, purchasing a vintage VW bus from out of state was a risky step. We could not have completed this important due diligence process without Drew. His knowledge and attention to detail was outstanding. He was also communicative and very kind. Our dealer sure gave him the run around with setting appointments, and then not meeting him multiple times. Drew was steadfast, and professional. We highly recommend using Drew's services. It's hard to say enough good things about Drew and his shop. To say he's just a great mechanic doesn't come close to covering it. He's more of a world-class automotive engineer that applies his expertise to automotive repair. His knowledge of systems, problem solving and attention to detail are flawless. His pricing is more than fair, communication is second to none and he's just a nice guy that makes getting a car worked on an absolute pleasure. He worked on my 1963 Corvair convertible and totally transformed the driving experience from unreliable and rough to what could easily be a daily driver. He makes sensible and realistic suggestions, never tries to oversell services and delivers 110% of anything undertaken. If you're a person who loves classic or exotic cars, you absolutely need a guy like Drew in your life. My next cars going to him are a classic Rolls Royce and a Ferrari California. Like anyone of his caliber, he may be busy and you may have to wait your turn for his services, but in my years of experience, owning classics and exotics, patience is THE virtue. Waiting patiently pays off.

i have been looking for a few years for a reputable mechanic in the Dallas area to whom I would feel comfortable entrusting my precious DeLorean. A colleague recommended Drew. How fortunate I was to receive that recommendation. The rave reviews-- highlighting Drew's knowledge, professionalism, honesty and integrity--make him seem too good to be true, but they are quite accurate and, if anything, understated. Drewmotive exceeded my (high) expectations in every respect - job was completed below anticipated cost and ahead of schedule. I have no hesitation recommending Drew, and fail to see how he could have less than a 5 star rating.

I feel so fortunate to have discovered Drew. He s the perfect combination of knowledgeable, personable, professional, trustworthy. I was feeling a bit lost looking for classic car service. While Drew certainly has an impressive resume of working on very valuable and exotic cars, he made me feel just as important and valued customer even though I don t have Jay Leno money to spend. This is going to be a very lengthy review, but Drew is a very detailed guy, so I feel it is fully warranted. Being out of state in NY, I needed to have a pre-purchase inspection done on a 68 Pro Street Camaro that was being offered at a dealership in Texas. I asked the sales rep if he could refer some inspectors to me, and he gave me the names of two inspectors, one of them being Drew of Drewmotive. I was told he was a little pricier than the second company, but he would also be much more thorough. That's exactly what I wanted, so I decided to give Drew a call first. We chatted for a while about the car and he explained what he does in great detail. I did mention that the sales rep referred another company to me as well, but I was satisfied with our conversation and I wanted to hire him. He still encouraged me to call the other company to get a comparison, but I told him that was not necessary, because I knew hands-down that he was "the guy" to inspect the vehicle for me. WOW, did he uncover things about the vehicle that I would have never seen in the pictures and video provided by the dealer! After I went over Drew's extremely thorough report, we chatted about the car for several hours, and also for several days! We realized that it's not really the car and we should keep looking for something better. I then had Drew fly out to Georgia to look at a '67 Camaro Restomod. After Drew's extremely detailed report on this vehicle, it turns out it was also mis-represented by the dealer. Although I spent the money on these two inspections, the money it saved me from making the worst mistake was worth it! I found another vehicle out of Michigan and almost flew him out there, but we were not getting good vibes from the dealer (yes, Drew took his own time to speak with them). He never got the chance to inspect that vehicle because they sold it out from under me. That was a blessing in disguise, because thanks to Drew, he told me about another site that I should be looking on, which I had never heard of before. After a couple of weeks of searching, a nicely built 1967 Pro Street Camaro came along out of North Carolina. I had Drew fly out the very next day to inspect this vehicle, and it turned out to be everything we had hoped. The next day, I purchased the car from the private seller and I could not be happier with the purchase, all thanks to Drew and Drewmotive!Now, let me tell you about Drew himself. I have never, and I mean NEVER known anyone that comes anywhere as close to the knowledge Drew has about all types of cars, old, new, and all makes and models. The guy should be crowned the 8th, 9th and 10th wonders of the world! Very detail oriented and extremely thorough. He is TOP NOTCH all around! If he says the car is either good or bad, you can take that to the bank without hesitation! Personality wise, he is super professional, courteous and polite, and seems to have infinite time offering UNLIMITED post-inspection support, which is absolutely PRICELESS!! As busy as he is, he always made the time for me, both through texts and phone calls, often times after hours and even on weekends! Who does that? NO ONE but Drew!!Listen, if you are in need of a pre-purchase inspection, Drewmotive is your guy, so don't even think of looking elsewhere, because you won't find anyone else like Drew on the planet, and I 1000% guarantee that! If you have the pleasure of working with him, you will quickly realize that everything I have said will be instantly validated! While I didn't end up hiring Drew to perform an inspection on an 82' Toyota FJ40 (I had already committed to making the purchase beforehand), I'm writing to express my sincere appreciation for having had the opportunity to speak with Drew before arranging for the vehicle to be picked up and transported from TX to CA. Even after regular business hours, Drew was kind enough to take my call and speak to me for 20 minutes about the things I should look for and questions I should ask of the seller before finalizing the purchase. I was so impressed with Drew's knowledge and even more so with his professionalism.If you're in the market to purchase a classic car, I highly recommend making the small investment to have the vehicle thoroughly inspected. Thankfully, my experience was a good one as the private seller was very honest about any/all issues with the vehicle I purchased, but this is not always the case.Thanks again, Drew!

Drew is serious about his pre-purchase inspections. With his attention to detail and expertise you could save thousands in not making an unwise purchase not to mention the long-term regret. You may pay more for his superior scrutiny but....it's worth it in the long run as others may overlook important things Drew catches. Give Drew that oh so important pre-inspection job for your peace of mind. I did and I'm very happy I did.

I had just bought a 1976 Mercedes 450SL and had it shipped to Drewmotive from South Carolina. Drew patiently waited for several hours after he closed to receive the car. He went through the vehicle with a fine tooth comb and was able to diagnose and find things that most others would not. He's very knowledgeable with what materials are to be used on what cars in order to keep them period correct. It helps that he has a vast knowledge of vintage car history. One of the most important things about maintaining a classic car is being able to keep it as original as possible. The great thing about Drew is that he's not quick to replace things since he's able to repair instead. Honestly cannot believe it has taken me this long to find a mechanic like Drew! Found him while trying to get a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle that I did not know much about. He is filled with knowledge and will be very honest with you about cars to buy and avoid. Long story short he is now our go to mechanic for all of our vehicles. I just purchased a Lexus SC430 convertible that was due for its timing belt/water pump service (not a small job by any means) Drew went above and beyond, even sent me photo updates which I absolutely LOVE! Cannot tell you how many times I have wished to see the process of what my car is getting. Drew-motive was very helpful and friendly . I have a 2005 Thunderbird and I ask if he could install four 3 inch white wall add on strips to retrofit my car. I explained that all the other tire shops wouldn t even give it a try. Well, the owner himself tried for at least an hour to make them fit properly without any gaps. At the same time he noticed a nail in one of my tires. He removed it and fix it. Back to the white walls and he figured out the type of tire I have on my TBird has a small lip on them and the white wall won t lay flat. I have to say it was a NO CHARGE TO ME! I tried to pay him but he refused because he couldn t complete the task on the white wall s . Now that s an honest shop.I will bring my car to him for now on and have no fears of being overcharged $$.Thank you Drew-motive!SincerelyStephen L.Dallas TX

Drew is thorough, detail oriented, and extremely knowledgeable. Incredibly responsive and very accommodating with his schedule. He was an absolute asset while purchasing a luxury vehicle from out of state. If I could give more than five stars I would! I made the mistake of using a different provider for the initial pre purchase inspection and the difference between their report and Drewmotive was similar to a 5th graders, What I Did This Summer to a doctoral dissertation. He spent 90 minutes with me on the phone reviewing every scratch, code, and potential issue he uncovered during his expert analysis. Drew is the definition of professional, and his services are worth every penny and then some! I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend Drewmotive.

Have had chronic starter problems with my 74 Jag Etype. Found Drew, in 2 hours he removed the starter, inspected and filed the flywheel teeth and installed the new gear reduction starter I provided. Pictures were provided as work progressed. All at a very fair price. Am so impressed with Drew and now have my go-to shop for work I m not able to do myself.

I used Drewmotive for a pre-purchase inspection for a 3rd get 4runner. He had an amazing knowledge of the vehicle, performed a thorough inspection and pointed out a few safety items the dealer ended up taking care of. I was buying the vehicle site-unseen, so it was important to consult with a knowledgeable, friendly provider. I would recommend Drewmotive to anyone in the DFW area needing a vehicle inspection and diagnostic run-through.

Recently, I found a luxury used car for sale on the internet; a 2012 Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG. The description was just what I was looking for, the car appeared to be a nice example and, it only had 19,000 miles on the clock. The car was at a dealership in Dallas, and since I live in Northern California, I searched the internet for someone to conduct a pre-purchase inspection on the car. Several options were available, but the company that stood out was Drewmotive; an automotive repair shop in the Dallas area that appeared to focus on high-end vehicles and among the services offered was pre-purchase vehicle inspections. The owner's (Drew) website was impressive, and my confidence was further bolstered by his knowledge and articulate manner.I gave Drew all the pertinent information and he did the rest, contacting the dealership and arranging to inspect the car within the next few days. Viewing the online ad from the dealership, the car seemed to be a fine example of what I was looking for. The CarFax indicated two incidents in the vehicle s history: minor damage to the left-front and minor-to-moderate damage to the right-front, but all the current photographs appeared to show a near flawless vehicle cosmetically, and with only 19K miles, I assumed it had been lovingly pampered by the previous owners. Nothing could have been further from the truth.On the day of the inspection Drew called me to let me know he was on site and would be contacting me upon completion of the inspection and report. Over the course of several conversations, my confidence grew leading up to the big day and I was now quite sure I would receive a report consistent with the professionalism Drew had displayed to this point. The report I received the next day went above and beyond merely professional; it was an absolute masterpiece to behold! Thorough and detailed, it covered every aspect of the vehicle...from the cosmetics to the running gear, to the electronics every detail you can imagine was inspected and evaluated. Electronic codes for the many conveniences the car featured were revealed, from current, to historic and even those that had been deleted in the past. Over 150 photos were taken with many of them telestrated, pointing out the issues of concern. Several videos were included with one focused solely on the condition of the paint, wheels and tires. In addition to all the details covered, Drew s inspection revealed some major issues involving damages to the entire right side that had been shoddily repaired; things that most consumers would probably never notice.This pre-purchase inspection from Drewmotive was the best money I could have spent in pursuit of a high-end used car. It would have cost me just as much to have flown to Dallas to look at the car and even then, I wouldn t have been equipped to go over the car to find the many issues that Drew discovered.The report itself was the most thorough evaluation of a vehicle I have ever seen, and I ve been a car guy for over sixty years, owning many high-end exotics and classics. I m still looking for a nice M-B CL63 AMG and if I find an example that I think is worthy, I will consider flying Drew to where the car is located, so he can work his magic again. He was honest with the evaluation and assessment of the car, gave me a few options that I could take, and didn t try to pressure me into any of those options. I was not expecting the level of care and attention I received. Truly amazing experience. The attention to detail is unmatched. Searching for the right person to care for your vehicle is a pain. Drew inspected a 2009 Lotus Elise for me while I was 2,000 miles away. I have never seen a more detailed inspection report, he took hours of his time to explain the report, the pictures / videos and his overall feel of the car. My husband and I were looking to purchase a car. We contacted Drew to inspect it for us before purchasing. Drew was very informative and helpful with our decision. His report and pictures were very detailed and presented us with all the information we needed. He was easy to connect with via phone or text. If it wasn t for him, we would have purchased a car that was poorly represented by the seller, clearly over priced and poorly maintained. His report/pictures/assistance were worth every penny. Drew of Drewmotive is the guy to take you classic or any vehicle to. Drew was amazing and has an extensive knowledge. I brought my 1969 Mercury Cougar to him as it had a lot of problems not disclosed when I bought it from a dealer. Engine, electrical, and drivetrain. Drew has gone through and addressed all the issues and then some. He kept me in the loop the whole time. Drew explained to me what needed to be done and gave me options. No pressure, straight forward, and completely honest. Drew has a new loyal customer. Don t hesitate to give him a call.

If you are looking for someone to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection - if you need someone to be your advocate on a car that you are many miles away from being able to physically see - then Drew is your man - end of story.Drew went to look at an Aston Martin I had put a deposit down on and turned in one of the most comprehensive reports, pictures and discussion I have ever experienced in over 25 years of looking at used cars - and I am picky! I did not end up moving forward and while it would not have been an expensive mistake, this was a car that had many hidden surprises! In the past I have been more than comfortable, looking a potential purchase over and see what was good and what needed attention, but Drew opened my eyes that with so much technology and engineering in any modern vehicle - especially an exotic - as someone who knows enough to be dangerous - I just cannot do that anymore.If nothing else it s easy to fall in love with something, especially when it s something that is not easy to find , but before you write that check, get an unbiased fresh pair of eyes to look at it, and call Drew!

Drew was fantastic and more professional than I ever would ve expected. Not only did he spend hours on site explaining to me what he was looking for and why. He went above and beyond my expectations doing background checking after hours and talking with the owner of the vehicle to get as much information as possible. He did exactly what I hired him to do which is give me the facts about the 1969 Dodge Daytona as it sits, no bias either way. He put up with more than I would ve expected from the owner and stayed professional the entire time with the vehicle. Drew is so professional and respectful! I would recommend him to anyone in the Dallas area (or beyond!). I reached out to Drew for a Pre-Purchase inspection of a used car as I live out of state. The car was dropped off at his shop and he was on top of it. I should mention that this was all in the span of 5 hours. He then proceeded to spend two hours on the phone with me going over every detail of his inspection, offering guidance beyond the specific car I was looking at, educating me on aspects of buying a used car I had never thought of. I did not end up going with the car in Dallas, but even after I was done with it, Drew continued to help me in my search for the perfect car. His care for his clients and work is admirable. As a teacher/coach, he demonstrates the kind of character I work to instill in my students/athletes on a daily basis. Worth every penny, and I will certainly reach out to Drew/Drewmotive in the future.

Drew is awesome. He is a very nice guy who will walk you through every inch of your vehicle. 100% recommend going here for pre-inspections. He is very knowledgeable in what he does. He is very thorough and will let you know if there are the tiniest problems with your vehicle. Definitely coming back here next time I buy a used car.

I had Drewmotive do a pre-purchase inspection on a Classic Car for sale on eBay. WOW... Drew knows his stuff. He met my tight time constraints and steered me into NOT buying the vehicle. After speaking to him and reviewing his detailed report I was happy to pay for his service knowing he got me out of a potential disaster.Extremely knowledgeable and professional!
