These guys saw my hot mess express pull up and immediately jumped out of the garage and started evaluating. They made sure that the leak they saw was nothing of concern. And then they welded and reattached my exhaust. In less than 30 minutes. Super professional and no nonsense. What a great experience!

Dropped off my weekend toy for a new exhaust. The workmanship was superb! Bobby was honest and kept his word on his quote. I will be a repeat customer! Best shop on the island, hands down!

Seems like a good, fair, and honest mechanic to me. I had work done on two vehicles here. He was friendly, fast, and the work seems good. I'd say mid price range, which is a good deal, for a very experienced mechanic. I would highly recommend.

My Wife and I went to Galveston 2 months ago for our 1st year Wedding Anniversary and my car sudden broke down a 30 minutes away from our destination. When we finally got to our Air BnB, I called all the Auto Shops in Galveston, but all of their appointments were booked during the rest of our stay and lacked compassion on our situation. Until I found R/T Exhaust & Automotive and spoke with Bobby. He was able to fit me into their schedule the next day! Fortunately we were staying in Galveston for a whole week. I tell you what, this was a miracle! They did an excellent job on replacing the alternator and battery. I got my car back the next day and was working great. Our vacation was saved and we are truly grateful for Bobby and R/T Exhaust & Automotive!Service: Battery

My A/C finally stopped working after a year of giving me trouble, of course right in the middle of summer. A friend recommended R/T Automotive to me, and they turned out to be the most affordable, convenient, and friendly option! Bobby took the time to explain what had broken in my car and gave me a detailed quote for how much it would cost to have it fixed. And when I decided to stick with them for the repair, he fixed it within one day, and then showed me exactly what had gone wrong with the compressor. (Basically, it exploded.) I was impressed by how straightforward and honest they were. Would highly recommend them!

Took my 2011 F250 in today for fuel filter replacement. Bobby waited on me got the truck in and serviced. I am a winter Texan and come here between October and May. Been to several places in the area and always felt taken advantage of because I am out of state. I asked Bobby to check my drive belts and transmission fluid. He said they looked good. If I had taken it to Pep Boys or other local chain stores I am sure they would have tacked on those repairs. I was impressed that he was truthful. I just recommended him to my neighbor at the RV park for work on his Jeep. Will use again when I get back.Service: Auto maintenance

I put a good sized dent on my exhaust pipe and knock it a little loose from collector. He got me in and took care of it quickly. Great service. Will definitely return for any and exhaust work.

As a local this is definitely the best mechanic on the island hands down. The owner Mr.Bobby is a genuine and nice man. They work diligently and promptly. I had my cars HUB assembly and ABS go out and it was taken care of before I went back to work. The prices here are affordable and the staff is very understanding. I don t trust most mechanics but RT has my seal of approval.Services: Electrical repair, Auto battery replacement, General repairs & maintenance

Called this morning about replacing a power steering hose. They said bring it in after noon and they had it back to me by 530. Friendly, honest and reasonably priced. We will definitely use them again if the need should arise.

Here on vacation and my A/C went out i called R/T Monday morning and they got me right in, i needed a new ac compressor but they installed a new one in just a few hours and had it working like new again. The service they rendered was greatI am from out of town and had the starter switch fail. I called the shop and they said get it right in. I got there about 10 AM. It appeared to be just the switch but when taken apart the wiring pigtail was burnt. The shop worked diligently and had me back on the road about 2:30. Best place in Galveston to get your car worked on, hands down.They don't overcharge you and the mechanics know what they are doing. They work on old, offroad and exotic vehicles as well

My husband and I were in town and needed to get back to Nebraska. Bobby took the time to diagnose our car problem, run get the part, and install the part without hesitation. We were so appreciative!!! What great customer care and professionalism!!!! I d give him 10 stars if allowed!!!

Robert was thorough and straight to the point. No nonsense service and a man of his word. Calls when he says he going to call and works with the timeline he gives you. My cars is happy again so I am happy again. Nice to know there are mechanics like him still around. I would definitely recommend his service and use him again if I ever need it. We just started our 900+ journey home pulling our 5th wheel and a terrible rubber smell started. Dealer nearby would not even look to see what the issue was. I would highly recommend using this mechanic shop when in Galveston and surrounding areas. They are fast efficient and know how to diagnose a vehicle. Bobby and his team went above and beyond stayed after hours and got me back on the road to Dallas. Greatly recommend and appreciate First off Great people my ac on my 06 dodge Cummins has having issues would cool so I called and told them I m on vacation heading out the next day he said well bring it in let s find the problem and they found and fixed it same day would definitely go back if I was in the area having problems

This place is the greatest !!! On Sunday morning around 01:20 someone stole our catalytic converters. We were on vacation from Sulphur SpringsAnd now we were stranded. On Monday We called R/T exhaust and they said they had one and could install it now. 1 1/2 hrs later we were back onThe road. These guys were great. I thought it was my transmission but it was only a bad motor mount. Super honest. Could have sold me a transmission and i would never have known. Awesome. Great mechanic that went above and beyond to fix our vehicle. We were vacationing in Galveston when our van started overheating. He stayed open late to diagnose the issue, got parts the next morning, and had it fixed before we had to check out of our hotel. Very professional, fairly priced , and didn't try to take advantage of the situation. I wish I had a shop like that where I live. Highly recommend and would definitely do business again! We were in a mess. A/c went out the day before we were returning home. The owner personally took over the job of installing new parts and ensuring that everything was working. Being from out of town, I was at their mercy. Ended up, a great experience, quality work and a fair price. In and out in two and a half hours. Would recommend unconditionally. By the way, the Chevy Dealership said they would not even be able to look at it for two days.Service: A/C installation & repair

Best price and quickest install time in the area. Called and got quick easy quote and was way worth the price. Just got a 2017 Tahoe and had Magna-flow exhaust put on and it sounds amazing. Was able to just wait in their waiting room and was in and out! Very knowledgeable and professional. Will definitely be return for future needs!

Went in for a busted CAT and they had me in and out in the same day and for a better price than my trusted mechanic up in Conroe. Work is holding up so far, but it s only been a couple weeks. So far very satisfied and would definitely recommend.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust
