I had an emergency to replace a brake line and came in right when they opened and the mechanic and everybody were so welcoming and polite and they did the repair in less than 10 minutes after they got it up on the jacks and in the air that man put that cable on so fast it was just impressive! I highly recommend going here for anything to do with your vehicle fluids such as oil change or radiator flush these people know what they're doing

Please stay away! This establishment, rounded off the nut on the oil pan, and has no way to fix it.. they basically said go to another establishment and have them drill it out and we can change your oil. Stay away they take no responsibility for their own actions and your best off not going in there in the first place. Spend a few more dollars, and hopefully you don t run into the same issues that I have.

I have been a regular customer of this location for several years. No problems until now. I had my oil changed 10 days ago. Over the weekend, while driving on the freeway, the protective guard, came loose and began dragging on the highway. (I had not hit anything on the roadway to cause this issue.) After I was able to get to a safe place, I realized it was only held on by 2 bolts. There were no other bolts on the guard. I was able to have it removed from dragging any further and placed it in my vehicle. Today I went to discuss what happened at the Kwik Kar facility. The lady who was working took my car and said she would handle it. After a short time, she brought it around. She told me they put it back on with the 2 screws I had given her and with zip ties. My car is only 2 years old and this location has serviced oil changes 90% of the time. She said that it was recorded on their records that I was missing clips on my last visit. What? I told her that no one told me anything about missing clips. I think this was only a way to cover up their mistake. With this being said, just make sure you check your undercarriage guard. This was a scary incident on the freeway.

The oil and filter changes were ok, but I had them to put a purge valve on my suv, the same car they did the oil change, but didnot connect everything right and my wife and kids could had been killed due to the throttle sticking open.. of course they are gonna say its not there fault, but I hired a real mechanic to fix it, before someone dies from their neglegence.. I will go to firestone or NTB going forward after this.. problem is I was stupid to prepay them $100 to put the part on, click on the pic..

Just found out that this is not Kwik Kar but privately owned, so beware that the pricing is much higher for oil changes and other services.

Ok so this early afternoon I did stop for a state inspection n the guy comes to take a drive for test n then the thing he came out my suv n said was good but it not pass cuz of tinted windows n said it was dark or darker so I told him it not very dark or darker n he said it required to have 25 percent so I don t believe what he said n he doesn t know nothing about required tinted law or whatever is n they do wanted to have my tinted windows to take it off so I told him I refused to do that so I left to find the right place n guess what? My suv had pass so next time I ll never go to kwik kar for state inspection again

I love going to Kwik Kar for my oil changes on ladies day (Wednesday). The guys (and one lady) are always very nice and helpful. I drop off my car and they call me to pickup. I've had CDs stolen from there, during an oil change, and another time they broke my Radio, and another time later an license sticker was stolen. Will never do business with Kwik Kar.

I came in for an oil change. Was talked into an unnecessary engine flush on top of an oil change. Then they put ALL OF MY windows down. Broke the driver's side back window cable and told me I had a preexisting problem. NO I DIDN'T. To call a person a liar about their personal vehicle is outrageous. Now I am on day number 2 missed work yesterday and we will see if I get to work today, to go back to this place to get my window fixed. Should of gone to NTB only 22 bucks for an oil change. Bet my vehicle would still be operational

Went to get an inspection here. Great service that day, we must have gone at a good time, no waiting. Professional knowledgeable young people. I like it! Would definitely recommend. Well my stars still stand ... Inspection... 2pm in the afternoon. .. 20 min woo hoo

I was not gonna write a review until another one of my friends got stiffed by them. They gave extremely overpriced oil changes and definitely take advantage of WOMEN. Every time I went in there I had to say NO about 1,000,000� To extra things I didn t ask for. All of the employees are definitely trained to sell you things you don t need. They will pull the air filter out of your car and say this is the air you re breathing when anybody who knows about cars knows you rarely have to change the inside cabin air filter. I learned the lesson the hard way and will never be supporting this business again.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

If I could I would give no stars to this business and I will not be doing business with them again in the future. The person Andrew that completed inspection broke my center console and tried to cover it up by concealing the damage. After noticing it I called informing the manager Rebecca she stated that her employees wouldn t do that. I asked what proof do you have that he didn t damage my car and she was silent. I asked her to provide name of her manager and she refused to answer the question only stating I m sorry. I told her I don t need your apology. I needed my vehicle repaired from the damage caused by you employee she stated she would contact her manager who was conveniently gone for the next two weeks then abruptly hung up on me. I will no longer do any business with or can I with good faith recommend this company. And I m a Galveston native. So beware!I will provide an update if they respond.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Terrible place. Could not get a price for an oil change which is all I wanted. Only wanted to give me estimate. Started at $45 to $52. Then jumped to $70 and said it might be a little more I don't know it's an estimate were his exact words. Then when I told him I did not want to have anything done he left the oil cap off of my motor and left it on the battery. I seen when he took it off and I asked him specifically before we took off did he put the cap back on his answer of course was yes. Complete liar he was upset because he did not get his commission I would guess. I will never go here again and we suggest to my friends do not engage in their services

This place is really fast. They could have three cars in front of you to service, and you'll still be out of there in 30 minutes. The biggest tell about them, is that one day I went in for an oil change and they let me know that my power steering fluid was getting old, but they did not push for me to change it at all. They made me aware that they could change the fluid, but they put no pressure on me or tried to upsell. I got my power steering fluid changed there the next time I changed my oil.

Very good service. Worked with Luren (hope I spelled that right) to have repairs done on my car so I could get it inspected. Saved me over $100 than he originally quoted me which was a nice surprise! Repairs were completed in a timely manner. Will visit here again for oil changes and routine maintenance.

I took my car to get the brakes done. And the lock for the tires where in my truck .i live around the block from the shop and couldve brought the lock but they instead proceeded to strip all 10 of my lug nuts in the front of the vehicle and then order 10 new ones from AutoZone at 5$ a piece..i would think anyone with sence wouldve stoped after 1 maybe lugs and called me but nooo.. I don't understand how business exist with the ineptitude that they are operating under all they had to do was call me text me anything and I would have brought the actual lock so they wouldn't have had to strip my designer lug nuts now I have just plain silver bolts on my front tires which I don't even know if they are lug nuts because I've never seen lug nuts like them. I tried speaking to the manager I tried to even split it with her but to no avail and said I could not take my vehicle or if I tried the cops would be called on me for a mistake that they made corrected mind you but cost me an extra $50 when times are hard and I did not have the $50 I ended up having to go and get it and come back just to get my vehicle so what's supposed to cost $110 cost $163. I do not recommend this establishment anybody

While moving across the country we found ourselves stopped in Galveston desperately needing brakes. We arrived less than an hour before closing, but Justin and Robert were so amazing and said they'd get it done. We needed new roters, too, which they had to drive to go buy and obviously would need more time - but they stayed late to get it all done and were so nice about it, actually getting it done super fast. We were SO thankful to be safely driving the next 1000 miles of our move with perfectly done new brakes at a great price for everything. If you're in Galveston - head to this place! Got an oil change from here, now I m on the highway and my car begins to overheat. Low oil pressure huh???Wonder who didn t put the cap on. Don t waste your time with this place. Employees don t care and the owner is covering his/her OWN BACK not the customers which keep them in business. I hate to say it but here we go again with another shop trying to commit fraud. I came in for a quick oil change and have been coming here for the last 6 years. I get shops trying to up sale air filters and flushes but to actually try to commit fraud is a whole different story. This employee used a Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze Tester, and told me my radiator had nothing but water in it. I asked him how that could possibly be since I only bring my vehicle to their shop? Do they put water in my radiator? He told me no and even showed me coolant as he was filling my radiator. I again asked him how is that possible then if I only bring this vehicle to your shop? He said that with the recent cold snap we had (it lasted one week) that the cold weather would break down the antifreeze and turn it into water. Really? So one week of cold weather will turn antifreeze into nothing but water. I let him know that I grew up in Illinois, worked as a service advisor in several different shops and what he was telling me was false and fraud. I believe the tester he showed me did in fact have water in it but it didn t come from my vehicle. And matter of fact, prior to our one week cold snap here in Galveston, I checked my radiator fluid to make sure it was good so I wouldn t crack my radiator. And if it was just straight water in my vehicle in dang sure would have either cracked my radiator or the block.Here I am tryin to support the businesses on the island and this guy wants to try and commit fraud on a long time customer. Well, you just lost a customer. I won t be bringing either of my vehicles here any longer. Do better! Be honest!In response to the owners response. No one, no one ever contacted me from your shop nor you and explained anything to me. So what exactly was explained and to who? And how exactly was there a mistake made when your employee showed me a hydro tester with water in it? Fluid supposedly extracted from MY vehicle? It was clearly water in the hydro tester and it was absolutely not taken from my vehicle. So yes, I absolutely do consider that fraud. How exactly do you retrain an employee not to commit fraud? I also emailed you directly which you never bothered to respond to. I also asked every single employee for your contact information which they stated that didn t have. I find that very hard to believe. I had to call another location just to obtain your email address. This whole situation was handled piss poorly. If you had any concern about customer service at your shop you would have asked your employees for my contact number (which is on file) and called me directly. Your response or lack there of speaksvolumes and I will continue to warn other locals of your shops fraudulent activities. Count on it.***In response to the owners addendum.No one at this shop spoke with me other than the two gentlemen in the shop. And not one but BOTH of them tried telling me the cold weather turned my antifreeze to water. The young lady working cash register also refused to give me the owners contact information stating she didn t know how to contact him. I had to call the Broadway location to get the owners email. I emailed him the same day and have yet to get a response except from his comment last here which are all false. The employees are lying and the owner is only trying to remove the egg off his shops face. Y all got caught and confronted. And yet you remain to deny any wrong doing.Service: Oil change

Furnished my own oil and filter. Charged me $90 to change my oils and filter. Asked how much they would have charged for a car. Was told $40. It doesn t take any longer to change oil in my truck than to does a car. Probably easier on my truck because the oil filter is very easy to get to. Other than the cost, service was good.
