Owning a business is difficult. You have the demands of customers and staff. You are reliant on people to always perform at their best and reasonably correct things when something maybe didn't go right. The owner of Kwik Kar Auto Center Josh Alluri is a real life example of how to NOT RUN A BUSINESS. My family brought our daughter's Jeep in for an oil change. We've only gone to the dealership for services to this point, but it was only an oil change, had limited time, and close by. The resulting events are numerous and caution to all to never use this business for even the slighted of services.While only needing an oil change, I stayed with my daughter's car to do some work calls. The service tech approached me in the lobby and said he wanted to show me something. There appeared to be a possible leak in one of the coolant hoses. I trusted him. And said to replace it. While the job was going to take longer, that was fine. It appeared it needed replacing. They ended up replacing it, and did the oil change. We picked it up in the evening. My daughter drove it the next day to a track meet. About 10 miles away. She noticed right away that something wasn't right with the car. As a 16 year old, she even knew something felt wrong. She called us, said a bunch of "oil service" lights were on, and some other things. She was scared. I told her to pull over. My wife and I went to pick her up and I hopped in to drive the car. I didn't get a mile and knew immediately something was wrong. I pulled over. Popped the hood. There was NO COOLANT in the container. What they attempted to "fix" was in fact not fixed. At the time, I thought they just forgot to put coolant in, which alone is a huge oversight. I called our insurance and had roadside assistance bring it back Kwik Kar (2 hour wait). Once at Kwik Kar, a different employee examined things and told me he was going to be straight with me and said they messed up. They didn't fasten the claps on the hose correctly and all of the coolant leaked out.All he said they would do was fix that. And apologized. I'm not a mechanic, but I do know that if you drive a vehicle for long without coolant there's risk of other damages to the engine. This was my biggest concern given this is my daughter's vehicle. He said he would look it over. He then called to say that in fact the coolant "container" had a leak. Not the hoses they replaced. But the container. So their initial diagnoses was wrong. By now I've talked to the dealership and plan to bring the car there for repairs. But before I could, without my permission, they replaced the container! And then actually tried to charge me for it! I came in for an oil change, and got hoses put on that I didn't needed, got a container replaced that I didn't ask for, got other damage that's still be assessed, and was asked to pay for the thing they "fixed" that I didn't trust them to do.And here's the best part. I tell all of this to Josh Alluri the owner. The lead service tech at the store gave me his number. All he says is that he will reimburse me for the container. Is has nothing to do with the cost of the container! It has everything to do with all of the errors that led to the container, and the likely future issues the Jeep may now have because of those errors! He says his "fine print" lays out everything in terms of their guarantees. Like I'm asking for that? Says I can't drive it (it doesn't drive. The "oil change required" light and the start/stop unavailable service stop/start system" light both come on now.) or he can't prove that the warning lights weren't the result of something while driving it. We've put on less than a mile since leaving the dealership. Just the drive home.Josh hasn't returned multiple calls now. And, I'll be bringing it to my dealership and getting the vehicle fixed correctly this time.Stay away. The staff is clearly not fans of Josh either as they were trying to cover their butts regarding the gaffs and tried to avoid getting to a point of me calling the owner.All after just stopping in for an oil change!

Went in to get my passenger CV axel fixed and an alignment. I knew going in that I might need both sides done but started with the passengers side due to extreme wear on my passenger front tire. Got in and out on a Friday. Saturday my car was good. Sunday it started giving me trouble so I went back Monday to get the driver CV axel done...that is when Miguel and another work there informed me that "they weren't certain when the mechanic would be back..." I said what does that mean and they said our mechanic (Jose) said he might be back Wednesday...hmm confusing but whatever. So I said well since I was just in 2 days ago, are you going to charge me full price for another alignment if I get the drivers side done? They said yes, we will. They charge $100 for alignment. That left a bitter taste in my mouth. Due to their uncertainty of when the mechanic would be back, I went to Brakes Plus a stones throw away and got the driver side CV axel done the same day. Cheaper quote , $90 alignment with 3 month warranty and without even asking, they took $20 off the alignment fee. Kwik Kar is the only shop in town who doesn't have any sort of alignment warranty. Miguel was very professional though throughout the whole process and the work they did was fine. Just the whole uncertainty of when he (mechanic) was going to return forced me to another shop.

Went in for an oil change with a Groupon. Initially they suggested that next time I don t purchase the actual Groupon, but just come in for a price match - which they already didn t do because they charged an extra $15 on top of the Groupon. But then once they had the car in the garage they told me that it (which is a 2019 with regular oil changes/maintenance and 70,000 miles) needed to also have the engine flushed several times because the oil was SO dirty. I tried to refuse and tell them it was something I couldn t afford (hence the Groupon), but they insisted I would be damaging my engine if I didn t. I reluctantly agreed after a few minutes of trying my best to tell them no (and successfully turning down a few other things I knew for sure I didn t need) and then googled this engine flush while I waited. Total ripoff. Extra $90 for something I didn t need. Which I guess was because of the Groupon? Surely that s not an everybody thing. But like don t put your business on Groupon if you don t want to redeem their coupons ?

This shop lost the privilege to do state inspections because they were knowingly passing failed cars. Took a car back here for a battery check, and they said all good after the car failed to start after multiple jumps. Then they tried to give me the wrong key, I asked about a battery report but they didn t have one. As a result, asked the tech to go out and show me, then the battery fails and the tech acts surprised. They hadn t even looked at the car. I wouldn t trust this shop as far as I could throw a million pound boulder.

This was the second time I've visited Kwik Kar for a state inspection and just as they did last year, they did a great job. I pulled up and was greeted outside asking about the services needed. I was then told where to park and what information would be needed inside for the state inspection. Upon entry, there were a few people inside the waiting area. I was greeted and checked in quickly. The woman that checked me in was kind and friendly. I was told that my car would be next to be inspected. I sat in the waiting room area while my car was inspected. The waiting room area is a nice size and was clean. I waited about 25 minutes and then my name was called to relay that my car was ready for pickup. I was pleased with the quick, thorough, and friendly service. I would recommend this location and will visit again.

STOPPED DOING STATE INSPECTIONS- I have been bringing all my cars here for years for oil lube and inspection services. Very happy until now - now they stopped doing state inspections. Will find a new place for all my business.

I have been a customer of this business for over 2 decades, and I have had a generally positive experience with the friendly and accommodating manager. However, I regret to say that I will not be returning for any services other than the car wash. This decision stems from my encounters with one of the technicians who was repeatedly rude during my first and third re-inspections. Another customer also shared a similar experience with this technician as she stated.As someone who works long hours and dedicates extra time to helping others, I am already near my limits in terms of cognitive and physical functioning. Therefore, I refuse to be subjected to such treatment, whether as a customer or a person in general. I sincerely hope that the technician in question can correct his or her behavior, allowing both the business and the technician to thrive and provide exceptional service to the wonderful community of Frisco.Service: Oil change

Do not recommend coming to this place. This shop is a rip-off. I came here for a headlight change and they charged me $50 for a bulb (excluding labor charge) same service in walmart autocenter showed 11$ but had to come here due to wait time. Stay away from this shop on legacy drive in Frisco.

Gary the owner is a True honest dedicated professional and his staff reflects his genuine ethic . We have been servicing our 3 cars with him for the past 2 years and are so grateful for his expertise!Recommend !

I have to say I wasn't very impressed. Not very customer friendly, overcharged me ...tried to charge me 80 bucks for a standard oil change and didn't give me my 7 dollar off coupon ...other places offer full service and inspection service as well as air up your tires, vacuum ,wash your windows, check fluids and give you feedback...I had a check engine light pop on and on their website they offer free code and check but the guy wanted to charge me $110 just for that! I felt like a number instead of a customer and didn't feel like I got the service I was expecting at all. He'll, I canchange my own oil for hardly nothing but wanted to give them some business. It took over an hour to get my oil changed. Geez.

I purchased a used BMW and searched to find a place that would work on them. I decided on Kwik Kar Auto Center and am happy I did. I went in for an oil change and had them check out the car. very thorough and reasonably priced. I will continue taking my car there.

I never post bad reviews so you know it has to be pretty bad for me to do this. This business will not bill you properly and is very unethical - buyer beware!!! They will quote you a price for an oil change (like $69 dollars after they look at you car and tell you that it will include full oil service and filter) and after you pick it up they will present you with a bill for $169 and tell you that your vehicle is not "one of those cars" that they provide a filter for an that it will take an extra couple of quarts of oil and that they will charge you $100+ dollars extra for their new sudden discovery. Be aware they lied straight to my face and continued. If they do this for oil an oil change, imagine what they're doing for other non-standard maintenance and brake jobs.Service: Auto maintenance

This was the absolute worst oil change experience I've ever had. It tool 15 minutes just to get acknowledged that I was there. They weren't busy at all. I felt like a number instead of a customer. I was overcharged for my oil change. No prices were listed no expectation was set ..I asked for a standard oil change...they tried to charge me 80 bucks for it. I can change my own dang oil for the cost of the oil itself which is nothing compared to that. I showed a 16 dollar discount off a standard oil change...I was told I couldn't use it and they wouldn't honor it. He offered me 7 off but when I checked out he didn't even apply the 7. They claimed they aired my tires up and vacuumed my car on their print out receipt but did not . Blatantly lied about the services they provided me on paper. I'll never ever use kwik kar ever again in my life and I'm telling every person I know never to use their service. I'm thinking about reporting them to the better business bureau etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they stripped my oil pan or screwed up my car over a basic freakin oil change. I don't trust this location at all. Worst customer service experience I've EVER had anywhere. Run ...run far away and quick before you also get robbed or treated like a nobody

I came here a few months ago for a radiator flush, they were awesome and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend them. Fair price. You will find experience and expertise here. Do not go to the one on Main Street. They are a rip-off. This Legacy drive won't recommend unnecessary work. Again, highly recommend this Legacy location.

My first time going to this location and they did a wonderful job. The place is clean and well kept with very nice staff. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Turned out I needed some other fluids changed as well (an unexpected cost). The mechanic helped me out on pricing as much as he could, which I thought was very nice!! The total cost on everything wasn t near what I was expecting. I read reviews on how slow or busy they are, it took them maybe 45 minutes for my car and they were busy, I did not think that was a bad waiting time. Also, I heard the receptionist on the phone telling people to call before they head that way to get an idea of how busy they are, I thought that was a nice suggestion from her and reasonable. It s not 5 stars because it was my first time but I will be going back.

So impressed with the level of service I received at this location!! I cannot thank the guys enough for their customer service and quality of work done. Long story short I had work done a couple weeks ago and they were so courteous and kind during the entire visit. Quick too! Then my battery went dead two weeks later and they came out to my apartment to give me a jump start. They didn t have to do that!! I ll be returning to this location for my future service needs and recommending it to my friends and family. THANK YOU!!!

Kwik kar legacy is awesome and very efficient. They got me in right away for my car inspection. Super nice guy greeted and helped me as soon as I pulled up and even though they were very busy. Waiting area was clean and comfortable with very nice staff and employees. I'm not one to post reviews but this spot deserves it.

I live down the street from this place and my truck was just barely running in limp mode as I inched it into this shop.When I pulled up, Gary stopped what he was doing and had me in the shop within minutes. Extremely nice guy, he's certainly knowledgeable across the board, he had my truck diagnosed in 15 minutes and most of all, knows how to operate an honest business.I have been traveling to Dallas to have my truck serviced by someone I've trusted for years but its really nice to know I have someone up the street now! Gary earned my future business by being prompt and honest which can be a sought out rarity with auto shops.If you live nearby or just passing through, this business will shoot you straight and handle your service needs.

These guys are the worse... in the past year I had them perform a few minor maintenance so when my check engine light came on I had them look at it. They replaced a oil sensor unit. and everything was fine. Then in March I took my family on a road trip to Colorado, but on the way home my oil pressure dropped to zero while on the road in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully I found a GM dealership who realized that the sensor unit failed and replaced it. When I got home I went to Kwik Kar with the bad part and they refused to reimburse me for the bad unit. They said I needed to call them before I had any work done to get their approval before I replaced the part they installed. I was terrified for my family and just wanted to get back on the road safely so the last thing I was thinking about was If I should call them for permission. Furthermore, the owner did not return my phone calls. Needless to say, I will never use these guys again.Service: Engine repair

This was my second time at this location. The first time was great - esp the lady at the front (really nice and personable). But today, the guy at the front was something else - really rude and condescending. Why the need to threaten the customer? Esp when conversation was respectful on my part despite the initial condescending/rude attitude that I received (over a simple clarifying question). Left with a bad taste in my mouth and probably will never return. Would never recommend to anyone

Kwik Kar staff was very efficient and very friendly. I brought my car in for a tune up on Friday afternoon and they were able to get me in. My mechanic explained everything they needed to do and he was able to give me a detailed breakdown on the costs. He was very open and transparent about what needed to be done. Overall, this was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend this team for your car maintenance and repair.
