I ve taken my car to many different shops in the Frisco area and never had a good experience. Not until I brought it here. The clutch in my Subaru WRX went out and I chose this place based on the amount of good reviews they had and I am glad I did. They told me exactly what parts they needed to fix it and the cost of labor. The price they gave me before they serviced my car was the price I paid. Each time I called, the phone was promptly answered and my questions were always resolved. This was the first repair shop that I have had a good experience at and I will definitely come back the next time my car needs a service. I ll also recommend this place to anyone I know having car problems in the Frisco area. Thank you for the great and honest work!

I've taken my car there three times, in my opinion they are honest and know their stuff. They have competitive prices and won't sell you on work you don't need. The bottom line is they're a good spot to take your cars.

Honest and straightforward mechanic. A different shop told me my brakes were in need of replacement and tried to get me to commit on the spot to do it for $650. Seemed high so I decided to get a second opinion. Brought my car to Authority Automotive and they took a look and said my brakes are fine (still have 40% left). I ll be coming back here for all my repairs from now on.

Great service, fair prices and excellent workmanship. I moved to Little Elm in May leaving behind my beloved mechanic. Thankfully my cousin lives up here and referred me to this place. I am forever grateful. A honest mechanic is worth their weight in gold! Thank you Rick and team at Authority Automotive y all are the BEST

As a woman, and someone who doesn t know anything about cars, it s very easy for auto shops to take advantage and overcharge. Authority Automotive was very honest when it came to what was wrong with my car and gave me the best advice even though it did not benefit them in any way.I would 10000% use this auto shop again and highly recommend it to everyone. I really appreciate the honest business practices and the fact that I wasn t talked down to just because I am a woman, which has happened many other places.

I highly recommend bringing your car here! Rick and his staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. They worked with my budget and got my car back on the road quickly! I will definitely be bringing my car back here and sending friends and family here!

Authority Automotive did an exceptional job on the repair for my 2016 Audi Q5!! The service was prompt and affordable. Where can I start this is my first time coming to this place and and it has been extremely excellent customer service from the phone to in person Chad was awesome he gave me a break down of everything and provided good advice for the next steps which was extremely helpful and fair. I left my car to get the work done I have my faith in trust in this shop 10 out of 10 Chad deserves to be crowned king of the day!!!!

Took my Nissan for an issue I was having with my door locks. they had my car less than an hour, diagnosed the issue which I am embarrased to say was "operator error". I guess they felt my shame and there was no charge for the visit. In short, Authority Automotive, you have earned my business going foward for both my vehicles. Thank You.

I never used these services but I was having issues with my alternator and tried to call him for a quote. He was very rude and condescending during the entire time I spoke to him on the phone. Based on first impressions I would most certainly not trust him with my car or an accurate, non price gauging quote.

So pleased was I with the service and attitude that I asked him to fix something else. You want a reliable and honest mechanic? Look no further! Authority Automotive is the place to go. They are awesome. I highly recommend them. The dealership service department on 380 (Shottenkirk) mess my vehicle up pretty bad. I took it to Rick and his crew and my vehicle is now back to the original condition before I took it to the dealership. Save yourself the stress and take to Rick right away. Everyone there will make sure your vehicle is in the best working condition when you leave. I can't say enough about Authority Automotive, I have been using Authority Automotive for my jeep and ford repairs for three years, I just recently had a problem with my 2018 for f-150 front wheel speed sensor bering, my dashboard warning lights were all on, I ran the truck to Rick , the diagnosis was quick, the part was ordered and installed in a day! Mechanical problem aren't fun, they pop-out of no were, I can tell you Authority Automotive has always treated me like I treat my own customers... went in to have some work done.The car ended up needed a bit more repairs than i bargained for, but Rick was willing to work with me to reduce the price.Rather than try to up-sale me on things that weren't strictly necessary, they explained what needed to be fixed, what would be optional right then (though would need to get sorted eventually) and why.turn around time was also great, 2 days in the shop and everything was good.Ill use them again, and the price was reasonable.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Brakes

I ve gone here several times for various services for work on my tahoe. They get me in quickly and I always trust that they are providing me a good price and quality service. I chose this mechanic based on the great reviews and the location of the shop. Rick has worked on both of our vehicles and has done a fantastic job! The service is great and the price is so much better than several other mechanic shops. I am the type of person that takes the time to do a lot of research in order to find a good shop. I read reviews as well as call different places. I get a pretty good first impression just by speaking to someone over the phone. I was very pleased with the knowledge and expertise that Rick provided regarding the issue I was having with my vehicle the first time I spoke with him. Rick is great and we have been going to him ever since I found him!

Over the past few years, my family has taken all of our vehicles (5 cars) to Rick at Automotive Authority.Rick and his staff are always a pleasure to work with. We have been happy with their work and the pricing is very fair. In fact, this is how I came about finding Rick and his shop. Rick is an EXCELLENT mechanic with an even greater attitude! I have always had a very good experience and I'll remain a customer! I have trusted him to diagnose and maintenance 4 of my vehicles over the last few years both newer and old models. I choose him because each time he has been thorough, detailed and completely transparent. He has provided me a great customer experience, a quality job and always stands by what he does.

5 stars and 3 cheers to Rick and his Team! A local Ford dealer told me to drop off my truck and it might be a week before they could even get it in the shop PLUS a simple electrical issue would probably take another week. I dropped it off at Authority and it was done the next day!

My most recent experience with Authority Automotive again was great. I thought I had a little brake problem but didn't know for certain what it might be. Rick suggested I bring the car by for an examination. I did so the following day and once the car was up on the hoist, yes indeed, the front brakes needed some work. We agreed he'd get the parts and Authority would put them. When the breaks arrived I received a text and we firmed up the date I could bring the car by for a repair. It went just as planned and I dropped off the car. Not very long afterward I received a call saying the car was ready to go. Rick goes above this too. I was given a ride home and then picked up after the work. I don't live all that far away but too far to walk. Absolutely great work, very friendly and I've never had something go wrong with the work done in the last two plus years I've been a customer. The guys all seem to have that attitude and a feeling that I'm not going to be ripped off when having the work done.Service: Brakes

These guys fixed the A/C on my Honda and I'm very happy! Dealership quoted me thousands of dollars and didn't even diagnose the problem correctly. Authority Automotive was very honest and identified a small issue that was quickly fixed for a fraction of the dealership quote.This is my go-to mechanic shop now. Highly recommend!

Chadd is legit: Turns out my engine is burning a ton of oil, and I have engine damage because of my own negligence (I'm ignorant about cars). He could have gotten $1200 out of me for the repairs, but actually advised me otherwise! He did not want me to potentially waste currency on repairs in case the engine is extremely damaged. He recommended only an oil change ($50) to see how the car does before investing that much currency in repairs. Such advice is EXTREMELY appreciated and it shows he knows his stuff AND respects the customer. Chadd was honest and forthright, and I recommend his shop!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Auto battery maintenance

I've had the privilege of using Rick's services on a few occasions. On my truck I have had a valve cover gasket and thermostat replacement and he had then both done in less than 24 hours and on a great price. He is the one to go to because with him you know he will do the work that is needed and will do his best for the best price. He won't rip you off like many mechanics and has amazing customer service

I don't often take time to post reviews, but Authority Automotive in Frisco warrants my time and attention. I own a 2000 Range Rover, a vehicle that many shops won't work on. And since the vehicle is so old, it's often hard to find parts. Competent, honest and reliable mechanics are difficult to find these days, and I feel fortunate to have found this shop! I feel that they provide me with quality service and parts at fair prices and have never been disappointed with their work. In fact I'd trust them to work on any of my vehicles.Over the past year and a half I've had Rick, Chadd and the fine crew at Authority Automotive work on my Rover multiple times, performing such services as tune up, replacing the exhaust intake, checking electrical components and replacing a muffler.Each time I've contacted Rick he's been able to get the vehicle into his shop without delay. The mechanics have done troubleshooting and diagnosed problems quickly and given me the rundown on what needs to be done, as well as letting me know about minor repair items that aren't critical.Give them your business--I'm confident you'll be more than satisfied.

Rick and his team are consistently professional, thorough and reasonable. I have been taking multiple vehicles to them for the last few years, and will not go anywhere else. Recently, they saved me more than $2000 by fixing an issue contrary to what a dealership and independent automotive chain said I needed done. They are straight shooters who won't disappoint!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Took my 2007 Hummer H3 to a "Brotherly" franchise and got an estimate to fix my 10 year old car that was outrageous. I began looking online for a small repair shop with decent reviews and found Authority. Their estimate for the same repairs was the cost of the big guy and they were able to get to my car the same day. I've used them several times since, and every time they are the same, consistently honest and efficient mechanics. They are not cheap, but their prices are reasonable and fair. The mechanics are truthful, I've never felt gouged, I've never felt I was told to replace a part I didn't really need, they call and return calls efficiently. We have 2 older cars (10 & 6 yrs old), and these guys have made it cost effective to hang on to them. Oh, and did I say Quick? Every time I've had work done it's either same day or next day service. Lots more than I can say for the big franchise that took 4 days to diagnose my car and wanted 3 more to fix it! Authority does not have a beautiful lounge, free coffee, or free wifi. I will gladly do without those to have my car up and running quickly without maxing out my credit card!

Got my rotors and pads installed. I bought the parts and shop helped me replace them. They were very professional and quick in turning around the car back to me. Installation was done for a very reasonable price. This place is going to be my first stop for any future repairs. Do not go to franchise repair shops and get ripped off. Come to this authority automative!

Rick and his team were able to quickly diagnose, quote, and repair my vehicle quickly and professionally. I rarely trust my vehicles to anyone, and with that being said I feel more than comfortable leaving my rides in their more than capable hands, and will be going back to them anytime I have a challenge I can overcome myself. Even better was the personal touch of having Rick reach out to me a few days later via text to ensure that the repair had produced the results I was looking for. Thanks Authority Automotive, and while I hope to not see you for a long while, I will be returning if I need to!
