We had transmission issues on our 1999 GMC pickup and I have to say Dan went out of his way to find out if the vehicle had electrical or sensor issues when realizing it was beyond a transmission issue. The cost was unbelievable low. Dan is the man with a heart of gold. This is the truth, I wish I could personally tell any of you face to face, this guy has a heart to help you get back on the road. I have never been so upset by an experience somewhere that I felt I needed to leave a review to warn other people, until Ray's!I went here on a recommendation. They were nice enough at first, looked at my car the same day that I dropped it off. I get a call that afternoon with a quote for $1000 in repairs, about $800 of which were absolutely necessary according to the mechanic. I was told I needed a vapor canister replaced (quoted ~$530 for the part), and that it would take at least an hour to get to and replace (quoted ~$120 for labor.) I did some searching online and the vapor canister for my vehicle is $200 online. I began to doubt that Ray's had been honest and straight with me. I went to a second mechanic, it took him less than a minute to look under the hood, point out the vapor canister front and center (very easily accessible), and see that the valve to the canister was cracked. As soon as he showed me where it was, I could easily see the crack. The valve is a $30 part, takes 10 minutes to put on. Ray's saw a female alone and tried to take advantage, I will not be going back. Ladies beware!

Hands down the best customer service of any automotive shop I have ever been to. Dropped off my explorer for a tranny rebuild and had it back within 2 days. They kept me informed of progress from start to finish. I will use them again without hesitation and would recommend Ray's to anyone needing automotive service.

Dan is an honest man! I stopped here fully expecting to need transmission work and Dan offered to take my truck for test drive and after looking at truck he noticed a problem with my kickdown cable and told me to replace it and the issue would be fixed. He didn t charge me a dime. I believe other companies would ve dove straight into the it s needs a rebuild without proper diagnosis. If anyone I know needs transmission work I am definitely recommending these guys!

Ray's has serviced our family's transmissions for years. Twice I have brought in vehicles with high miles that seemed like a serious problem. I could have easily been convinced I needed a new transmission. Both times Ray's was able to repair them for a fraction of the cost of new or a rebuild. When it was finally time for a new one (9 years later), Ray's installed a Jasper and the vehicle drives like new.

Issues with transmission shifting. Hot air from firewall blowing at my shins now. Stripped door screws. Will never go back.

I am writing regarding the customer service. Dan has treated me with great respect and consideration. Prior to getting to work on my pickup he has called me to let me know where I stand money wise. He has appeared to demonstrate concern of doing work that may not be needed. I appreciate that. Others simply do what I ask them to look into and attempt to do the work weather needed or not. I know that Dan takes his family business seriously. I believe that with his approach, the family name/business will last many more years.My frontier crew cab pick up is the second vehicle that I have taken to him. While it may be more costly than originally expected I trust Dan. It is nice to have a good mechanic in your corner.Thanks.

Dan was super nice. I m a young girl and I don t know much about cars, most places would take advantage of that and try to upsell me other things my car needs , but dan treated me genuinely and their service was personable. Ray the mechanic was always very helpful and nice. Good place to take your car!

They did a good job fixing the transmission on my f250 and he even recommended a extra heavy-duty transmission because we pull a heavy. I would return with any issues I have on my diesel truck. totally happy

Very frustrated. We read the good reviews and called on a Tuesday to see about getting a diagnostic done while out of town. They said no problem! So we dropped it off on Wednesday morning and told them we would be back Friday afternoon. Called them Thursday to check on it and they said it was the next car. Called Friday and they said they cant get to it today, we will have to wait until Monday. Sorry we gave this shop 3 days to just look at the truck and after they said they could- they didnt. We could have taken it somewhere else if we had just known. Very upset!! Definitely wont use them again!!!!!!!

Had a full built transmission from them. Next day had guages show full burn up. The install The tech day he saw bad wires but didnt fix them. SO mad a 5 hour last minute drive for nothing. Then it messed up in less that a year. Pulled it and shipped it to them. Charged me for everything. Got ir back. Few monthes later broke again had to pay another 4k with 2 trips to Fort Worth. 5 hours away after being told it was ready. No less than 40 k miles on it since first build in 09 and 3 rebuild after. I do not recommend this shop at all.

Motor blew on the highway, car died just off the road near Ray's. Ray provided world class customer service and helped me get the car a few feet into his lot to avoid towing fees. He called me shortly after I left to inform me it was a blown motor.Ray told me I don't owe him a thing for diagnostic. These folk are world class.

Dan always does his best to get your vehicle in tip top shape. I've taken both gas and diesels, his mechanics still diagnose rather than being parts replacers... The way it should be!

These guys will still diagnose a problem. Nowadays mechanics rely on trouble codes and simply replace parts until the problem goes away. Not here, they actually still care about getting it right first time. Dan stands behind his work and his employees. My new go-to transmission shop!

I sure Ray's auto is a good place I personally go to eat at Big Ben's smokehouse he has the barque out by the service road at Ray's parking lot food is amazing.

Very nice people. Did a manual diagnostic (driving) of the car. Very truthful. Recommended a good place to fix a muffler issue. Thank you, gentlemen!

Try to get you to pay for extra work you don't need. Called about one thing that the dealership said was wrong. But was told by them that it was more than that without them even looking at the car.

Been going there for years wouldn't take my car to get the transmission done to any other place they will take care of you and your Automotive needs they do a lot more than just Transmissions Dan is the man you need to see

Pulled off the ex on 35 and right into shop over heating father in hospital with mass hartatack talked to them a bit about how the week was going they were very down to earth and had the car fixed next day and were very support about father would recommend this shop to everyone
