After a Honda dealership returned my Civic Type R to me with a slew of error codes and uninitializing electronic systems, I took my car to the awesome dudes at Kraken for diagnosis. They quickly discovered that the dealership had left my positive battery terminal loose after replacing the battery, remedied the issue and performed the proper procedure to re-initialize my systems and clear codes. All the guys at Kraken were professional, knowledgeable, helpful and I will 100% be back in the future. They ve got an adorable mascot dog to seal the deal. Thank you Kraken!

This is a wonderful shop! I had my first experience with them and I was very satisfied with the work that was done. They were very communicative, transparent and quick! I had a lift kit installed, steering rack boots replaced, wheel hub replaced, and an alignment dome and had the car the next morning. The pricing is a bit steep but you get what you pay for and I got excellent service. About $165/hr

Went in for tire rotation and balance first and then for new tires. Experienced the great staff and great mechanics and owner both times as a new customer. Definitely recommended for anything Subaru! Cleanest shop I ve been to! Lexi the shop dog is also awesome and friendly!

Friendly shop, made me feel comfortable about what the procedures that would take place on my vehicle. I did not actually do work any with them, just a diagnostic. But Shawn was very nice and experienced when looking at my Turbo Mazda.

This shop and the owner Shawn are honest with me and full of knowledge, I searched high and low for a shop for my build and this is a shop I will drive 2 extra hours to get too, And a decision I don't regret one bit. I've used this shop exclusively for my Subie for her first mild build and then an entire built motor barely 6 months later. Shawn (The owner) is greatly knowledgeable about the platform and can reasonably get you the build you want with the least wasted money to get there, I haven't had one bad experience with Kraken and they even babysit my Subie for awhile during my build. The techs are professionals and I haven't noticed anyone in the shop try and upsell anything at all. All around A+++

Kraken Motorsports is, unequivocally, the best Subaru performance shop around. Shout out to Tyler and the rest of the team for installing my motor with unparalleled quality. They value your vehicle as if it's their own and treat everyone with the utmost respect. Shawn has saved me over $800 in unnecessary maintenance services that a Subaru "stealership" did down here in Houston. If you go to Kraken, you will experience the same honesty, integrity, and quality that I have. They've secured a customer for life!

I'm so glad I found Kraken. I have a Bugeye that needed some help.Quite a bit of help. Rear main seal, clutch, brakes, ball joint, plugs.... the car needed attention in a lot of areas.Shawn and his team have a breadth of knowledge a mile wide and a mile deep - they made it seem easy. The car was ready fast and all the work was completed to a high degree of accuracy.I've had my car since she was 2 and she just turned 17. She's seen trips to the east coast and the west coast and many places in between. She's seen my sons grow up and go to college. I know this car very well and I can tell when things are right or wrong. Shawn got it right in all the areas.I waited a couple weeks to write this review to see how things would pan out. I'm happy to say everything is 100% correct.I highly recommend Kraken Motorsports whether your car is old or new. Shawn and his team have a great attention to detail and they take pride in their work.

I really wanted to like this shop, but trying to charge me $1200 for a new engine wire harness for a loose ground wire?!And if you weren t the mechanic who put the motor in, doesn t mean it was done poorly. That said mechanic saved me A Lot of money, tightened my ground wire and my car is running PERFECTLY since.The ground wire wasn't even in the wiring harness. And my motor already had over 70 miles on the old map with no issues. All my issues started the moment Calvin touched my car. And all those readings will fluctuate with a loose ground that is RIGHT NEXT to the harness. I would expect a mechanic to actually use a volt reader or another type of diagnostic equipment to verify an expensive part needs to be replaced vs. just "wiggling" the entire harness and assuming an issue. Wiggling cost of the $200 diagnosis fee sure seems ridiculous. Finally, the entire time I was there Kraken employees and Clavin kept saying "Oh, it was installed by someone else." in a negative way! Where this mechanic was able to see the loose wire and easily fix it without charging me a "wiggling" fee.And it's a WRX STI!!!

Just finished a meet & greet with Shawn Rizzo at Kraken and by far I had the most amazing experience! After scheduling a consult, he literally spent an hour with me, one on one, discussing future build plans, recommended parts, and showed me the lay of the land.I have been to several shops in the past 11 years and nothing comes close to what I just experienced. By no means is this just another run of the mill shop. First impressions say a lot, and his team and him blew my mind!Shawn knows his stuff and is incredibly intelligent, yet gracious about it. Just picked up the Cobb Redline Intake and AP. Thank you so much for such a great experience Kraken, much props!!!

Max was great. Great communication! Alicia was friendly and made sure I was taken care of. Would definitely recommend! Most importantly they diagnosed my issue(s) and fixed the car the same day. My Subie has never ran better. Thanks for the great service and expert advise.

I always have an excellent experience with Kraken Motorsports and the technicians are extremely knowledgeable. I was overjoyed to have my Integra serviced at this shop and will most definitely return. They have all of the know how when it comes to the automotive industry. The owner is an exceptional individual with the attitude and professionalism to match his shop s exquisite service and culture. Highly recommend and will not hesitate to mention this shop to my friends, family, and acquaintances in need of great services.

I have been a customer of Shawn s before he opened Kraken Motorsports and he has been very helpful, educational and professional every time he s made additions to my WRX! He s addressed and fixed issues I ve experienced at other shops and I will never go anywhere else! He s built me one heck of a car! I took my 17 focus ST to the guys over at Kraken Motorsports to get some bolt ons put on and I am nothing short of pleased with the work done. I knew they specialized in Subarus but I took a shot and Ben assured me they could do the work and was able to schedule me in the same week! I ll definitely be back for all my future mod and tuning needs!

Shawn has saved me over $500 in unnecessary maintenance services that "stealerships" said were needed, yet he could have easily taken my money for the services as some other, unmentioned, Subaru performance shops would. Installed the Flyin Miata exhaust and lowered the car by about an inch and upgraded the front and rear sway bars. They did a great job. Car handles so much better and reduced the large wheel gap from the stock setup. Such a dedicated crew who obviously love what they do.

Shawn and the team at Kraken are awesome! Have had them do alignments on my autocross Civic the last couple years. This past weekend I got into a bit of a situation. I was replacing ball joints in my garage and stripped a bolt. I brought the pieces by and Shawn was super helpful, fixed my mess up and saved the day. Best shop ever!

Subaru Master mechanic and a shop with all the fixins. Dyno, tuning, motor swaps. They can do it all. Specializing in Japanese or import.Today when my car was overheating I brought it in ready to replace a water pump and drop $500+.... Not only did they fix my issue, they did it fast. They thoroughly troubleshot the issue and made sure it wasn't going to happen again. Not only did it save my car, it saved me money and my time. Thanks again kraken! 10/10 will be back again

They are truly the best when it comes to mechanics. I would take my car to them over the dealership anyday. Customer service is great and Shawn is truly honest and wont take you for your money. 5 stars all day long and my only mechanic. Thanks to Kraken and Shawn for your honesty and skill that tops the rest.

STI started to produce no positive boost. Took it straight to Kraken Motorsports and though I did not schedule an appointment, the owner still squeezed me in and diagnosed it. Found a seized turbo and instead of upselling me on an aftermarket turbo or having to fork out for a new OEM turbo, they offered me a low mileage turbo in good condition for a far lower price.Car was in and out with no issues and all staff was a pleasure to work with. The shop is incredibly clean with a ton of character that brings a very inviting and relaxing feel for any wait times.Highly recommend anyone with a Subaru or any Japanese car go to these guys. Life long customer now.Thanks fellas

Shawn and his gang are the best in the business. They are passionate, humble, and very straight forward with pricing and the their game plan when working on your car. They are fast at getting you in and out while still providing superior workmanship. Also, Calvin is an outstanding tuner. Extremely knowledgeable, and efficient with his job. Overall, I wouldn t take my STI anywhere else. You receive a genuine feeling of their compassion for your vehicle when it goes in that shop.

This place is amazing. I have a 2016 Subaru WRX. I bought this car back in May because I love cars and it was halfway modded. I didn t really know what has been done to it, but Shawn was awesome. He explained everything to me and did an oil change to my car. The staff is so nice and they have a shop dog!!! Dog friendly which is awesome. But I will def come back and get a tune for my car from them. They re knowledgeable and amazing people!

Excellent customer service. I stripped a screw and was in a bind and they were able to help me same day. Really helped me out. Can t say thanks enough! Kiddo was even able to watch Netflix in the waiting room, which was a hit for her.

Shawn and his amazing team did an outstanding job modifying my 2019 Subaru STI.I can t believe it feels so good to void your powertrain warranty! Seriously though, between Shawn and Calvin at Dotson tuning they did an amazing job on the build. I would highly recommend Kraken Motorsports for all your Japanese automotive needs.

Shawn put one of their Kraken 500 motors in my WRX and I couldn't be happier with the work they did. The car runs great, especially after Calvin Dotson of Dotson Tuning (next door to Kraken) put the sauce on it! Kraken is one of the cleanest shops I've been to and truly put their customers first! Kudos to Shawn, Alicia and Calvin for creating a one-stop shop for anything you need!

I've never left a review in my life and I was not asked to leave this review either, but I felt compelled to leave one for Kraken Motorsports. I can't imagine there's a more welcoming and honest shop on the planet. I always try to do my own work when I can, but I have a busy life and I'm not the most mechanically inclined, so it's a relief to have somewhere to take it that I know I can trust and I know they know my car inside and out. Communication is great, inquiries are met with a quick response and prices are right for labor. I'll never take my Subie anywhere but here, be it repairs or tuning. We are lucky to have Kraken in Fort Worth.

What to say about this "little shop that can"? I have known Sean's wife for a few years, and have bugged her many time in those years about whether or no Kraken Motorsports works on Jeeps, and the answer has always been a kind "no". The question had always been asked in a sort of jest, because I know that Kraken Motorsports (KMS) primarily works on high performance/race cars and Subaru's seem to be their specialty. But about 2 months ago that question changed when I came into the possession of a Magnuson Supercharger (used) for my Jeep (8 years old)!I called the shop and asked, this time in earnest, if they did this kind of work for Jeeps. Sean and Ben worked with me to make sure they had everything they needed and ultimately accepted the project. The original plan was that this was to be a 3 day project, so I turned it into the shop on Tuesday. Things went swimmingly day one and day 2, but day 3 met with a major complication, the tuner for the supercharger was locked to the old owner's Jeep. Sean and his crew literally jumped through so many hoops to try and get around this, and ultimately found an outside source to tune my Jeep once the supercharger was installed. During this time of delay, Sean and his crew kept me informed and up to date on all that was happening (or not happening as the case may be).I work in healthcare, and know the power that keeping my patients informed and part of the process can have on their experience, and Sean and his crew cake that same care with their customers. Thinks didn't go exactly as planned, but I was kept up to date and felt like I was part of the process. The ultimate result is a Jeep that makes me feel like a teenager again. It runs smooth and fast and makes me smile just firing it up! I can't say enough about how good the experience with KMS was. Thanks Sean, Ben and all the fine folks at Kraken Motorsports! You have made me (and my Jeep) young again!

Shawn took care of my 2017 Subaru STi. His knowledge and attention to detail surpassed my expectations and now I have a great setup that's not only reliable, but makes great power as well. I also want to thank Calvin Dotson @ Dotson Tuning next door for pairing up with Shawn. Together they make a great team at getting your dream build a reality!
